Libera has a long association with BBC Songs of Praise, stretching back well over 20 years. A 30 minutes ‘special’ was broadcast in January 2009 – this was only the second time ever that a Songs of Praise special had been made about a single artist.
We recently made some new recordings at Ripon College Cuddesdon, of songs that feature on recent albums. Nearer My God To Thee (If, 2021) aired on 9th March 2025, and One Small Voice (Dream, 2024) on 16th March.

Ding dong ding dong
that is their song
With joyful ring
all carolling
Christmas is here
bringing good cheer
to young and old
meek and the bold
One seems to hear
words of good cheer
from everywhere
filling the air
Oh how they pound
raising the sound
o’er hill and dale
telling their tale
Gloria, in excelsis Deo
Gloria
Gaily they ring
while people sing
songs of good cheer
Christmas is here
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas
On on they send
on without end
their joyful tone to every home
Ding dong ding dong
That is their song
2. Be Still My Soul (Remix)
Be Still my soul, the Lord is on thy side
bear patiently the cross of grief or pain
leave to thy God to order and provide
in every change he faithful will remain
Be still my soul, thy best thy heavenly Friend
through thorny ways leads to a joyful end
Be still my soul, when dearest friends depart
and all is darkened in the vale of tears
then shalt thou better know his love, his heart
who comes to soothe thy sorrow and thy fears
Be still my soul, the waves and winds still know
his voice who ruled them while he dwelt below
Be still my soul the hour is hastening on
when we shall be forever with the Lord
when disappointment, grief and fear are gone
sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored.
Be still my soul, when change and tears are past
All safe and blessed we shall meet at last.
3. O Beata (Remix)
O beata, benedicta et gloriosa Trinitas,
O Pater Filius, O Spiritus sanctus.
Alleluia
O vera et summa et sempiterna Trinitas,
O Pater Filius, O Spiritus Sanctus.
Alleluia
O blessed and glorious Trinity
O Father, Son, O Holy Spirit.
Alleluia
O true, supreme and eternal Trinity
O Father, Son, O Holy Spirit.
Alleluia
4. At Sea (Remix)
Now find we all at sea,
short a compass, suddenly;
Out on the water, far from home,
wandering further to the unknown
Call out to escort us, call out to me.
Call out to support us, call out to me.
Now find we ill at ease,
less a rudder, drawn on the breeze;
Charting a course not travelled before,
wondering when we’ll find the shore.
Call out to escort us, call out to me.
Call out to support us, call out to me.
Now find we cast adrift,
fearful were the tides to shift;
Gathering closer to stave off the cold,
heartened to have each other to hold.
Call out to escort us, call out to support us, call out to me.
5. The Angel Gabriel (Remix)
The angel Gabriel from heaven came
With wings as drifted snow, his eyes as flame
All hail said he thou lowly maiden Mary
Most highly favoured lady. Gloria!
For known a blessed mother thou shalt be
All generations laud and honour thee
Thy son shall be Emmanuel, by seers foretold
Most highly favoured lady. Gloria!
Then gentle Mary meekly bowed her head
To me be as it pleaseth God she said
My soul shall laud and magnify his holy name
Most highly favoured lady. Gloria!
Of her, Emmanuel, the Christ, was born
In Bethlehem all on a Christmas morn
And Christian folk throughout the world will ever say
Most highly favoured lady. Gloria!

Tread softly I heard as they circled
And go slowly, keep your hopes alight
And look to the brink of a sea change
And be certain as you take our hand
I moved with the sound
Of waves all around in step with the moon
All hope came ablaze like the thunder
And wonder like northern lights
I knew as they flew I could join them
On adventures to unknown sights
My toes in the sand
And birds in my hand chasing a dream
2. One Small Voice
One small voice is all I have to sing
Though modest and gentle
I’ll be forever singing
One small song is all I have to share
Though humble and simple
Through all time it will be ringing
When I lose my way
When I’m alone without direction
Stay with me, be my comforter
And protect me from all danger and all harm
Be forever with me now and ‘til the end
Be forever my companion and my friend
One full heart is all I’ll ever need
For loving and serving
To show compassion and forgiving
One full life is all I long to lead
And sing of my gladness
That in your radiance I’ll be living
3. Dream You Of
Lifegiving love, dream you of
Ever long in your heart, dream you of
When under dark clouds walking without an end in sight
I will to you, as a shelter, promise a place of light
When in the wilderness searching, thirsty and all alone
I will appear an oasis, easing your weary bones.
O lux de lumine
Redemptor saeculi
Laudes sumere
When under strain of battle, faltering in the fight
I will enfold you in armour, follow you through the night
Dominus meum
Dominus firmamentum meum
4. The Lark’s Last Song
The lark’s last song is o’er the meadow sweeping
in homage now to thee
The parting call he’s ardently completing
with golden filigree
The head is lifted high, the melody sublime,
a beauteous lustre blooming now, blooming now,
blooming now from the tallest bough
The lark’s last song is sorely only fleeting
yet lingers on after fading away
The sound is gone but never truly lost
within us it shall remain
He takes no more to flight, now sings his lullaby
now sings the lullaby that carries him to eternal rest
What greater joy.
What greater joy I’ll find like no other
to breathe my last for another
no greater joy than to breathe my last in joyous song to thee
So my last song when time it comes to singing
will cherish the heart of thee
Let all fall soft and fall together still
to hear the words I longed to speak to thee
5. Always There
When the evening comes and day is done
When tomorrow seems so far, far away
If you cry for what has gone, or fear for what’s to come
Still the dawn will wake another day
As the shadows of the night appear
And regret and sorrow sigh you to sleep
All the things that might have been, that never were foreseen
Still the dawn is never far away
Always there, at your side, in the whispers of the night
I’ll be there every day, in the mist of morning light
Then the song we shall sing lasts for all time
As the clouds will pass away and the night turns to day
I’ll be there
Always be there for you
6. Twilight
Twilight is stealing over hill and sea
Vesper bells pealing call us to thee
Lowly confessing trespass and shame
Bravely expressing faith in thy name
Low at thy mercy seat
Father thy children meet
Craving thy guidance sweet
Call to thee
Call us to thee o’er hill and sea
Call us to thee
Praising with one accord
Hearing thy holy word
Here let our service Lord
Call to thee
7. Once (Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence)
Once upon a dream
I was searching for you
Once upon a dream
I called to you
Once upon a dream
I was lost and lonely
Once upon a dream
Once upon a time
Now there’s only but a
memory of the time
I feel it still
Once upon a time
How I cherish all the
memories of that time
Once upon a place
Where we built our future
There within that place
It haunts me still
Once upon a place
How my life retains the
imprint of that place
Once upon a wish
That we’ll move together
Held within a wish
Eternally
Knowing that a wish
Is enough to hold me
In your loving arms.
Once upon a life
Walking hand in hand through
Moments of our life
For evermore
Once upon a life
Spent together sharing
Every part of life
Once
8. When I am Laid in Earth (Dido’s Lament)
When I am laid, am laid in earth
May my wrongs create no trouble in thy breast
Remember me, but ah forget my fate.
9. Veni Sancte Spiritu
Veni sancte
Veni sancte, spiritu sancta
Veni spiritu
Gloria
On a hill top I have heard you through the whisper of the trees
Your voice rings out whenever I listen and carries on the breeze
In the distance I have felt you, through the movement in the air
The wind blows strong about my face and I know that you are there
A light to guide and comfort us, in trouble give us hope
A song to light our joyful hears, O cantate domino
In my memory I have known you, like a dream that’s passed away
Ever old and new you’ll carry me through to the brightness of the day
Veni spiritu, sancte spiritu, veni gloria
Veni spiritu, sancte spiritu
Shine forever in our hearts and fill us with life we pray
Amen
10. Resurrectio
Ego sum resurrection et vita
Qui credit in me, non morietur in aeternum
I am the resurrection and the life
Who believeth in me though dead shall have life
Chorus angelorum te suscipiat
Et aeternum habeas requiem
And all who live and believeth in me
They shall never die but live eternally
Within a dream I heard you call my name
An everlasting voice that is unchanged
From the beginning to the end of things
O come and carry me upon your winds
O come and carry me away
Requiem aeternam dona eis domine
Et omnis qui vivit et credit non morietur in aeternum.
11. Going Home
Going home, going home
I am going home
Quiet like some still day
I am going home
It’s not far, just close by
Through an open door
Work all done, care laid by
Never fear no more
Mother’s there expecting me
Father’s waiting too
Lots of faces gathered there
All the friends I knew
I’m just going home
No more fear, no more pain
No more stumbling by the way
No more longing for the day
Going to run no more.
Morning star lights the way
Restless dreams all gone
Shadows gone, break of day
Real life has begun
There’s no break, there’s no end
Just a living on
Wide awake with a smile
Going on and on
Going home, going home
I am going home
Shadows gone, break of day
Real life has begun
I’m just going home.
12. Lullay
Lully lulla
Sing lully lullay
Lay down your head, leave the day,
cast out your thoughts
I will sing them all away
When darkness falls, look to me
I’ll stay by your side
My song will be your guide
When you’ve closed your eyes
When you’ve found your way
I’m still here (here in the darkness)
Who will sing for me?
Who will sing me to sleep?
Will you sing me to sleep?
Sing me to sleep.
13. Music was Born (from Rhapsody in Blue)
Music was born to help the world go round
Born to adorn it with a sweet sound
Music to me is all we want it to be
For music is there to help all us to see
The things we may not always see
And music I know will help the world to grow
(Showing us places dreamers all dream of,
Sending us heavenwards leading us forward
Sharing its beauty giving us new hope)
Music moves on and thought it moves slow
(Wandering onwards, making new mem’ries
Taking us on to happy tomorrows)
Music will show the way to things we don’t know
It’s there for you and for me, it loves us all equally
I love music and I know that music loves me
14. Happy Xmas (War Is Over)
So this is Christmas and what have you done?
Another year over, a new one just begun
And so this is Christmas, I hope you have fun
The near and the dear ones, the old and the young
A very merry Christmas and a happy new year
Let’s hope it’s a good one without any fear
And so this is Christmas for weak and for strong
The rich and the poor ones, the road is so long
And so Happy Christmas, for black and for white
For the left and the right ones, let’s stop all the fights
And so this is Christmas and what have we done?
Another year over and a new one just begun
And so Happy Christmas, we hope you have fun
The near and the dear ones, the old and the young
War is over if you want it
War is over now

I will sing for you at the start of each day,
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you
In all things I do in the dawn of’ my life,
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you
Shutting out night my life renewed,
Happy for love that is to come
Opening eyes I’ll follow you
Glad to see, glad to be yours
Echoing what you say,
Shining out what you are,
Out of dark, into your light
I will sing for you in the light of each day
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you
In all things I do at the noon of my life,
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you
I will sing for you at the end of each day,
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you
In all things I do in the eve of my life,
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you
I will sing for you each and every day,
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you
In all things I do to the end of my life
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you

Let all that dwell underneath the sky,
across the sea.
Brighten the dark fill us with the light of day you bring.
Jubilate Deo omnis terra
Servitae Domino in laetitia
The stars shine bright the angels sing.
To you for evermore we bring.
Beati Quorum via integra est in aeterna.
Let all that dwell underneath the sky,
across the earth.
Lift up your voice across the sea
Jubilate Deo Omnis terra
Servitae Domino laetitia
The sun shines bright the angels sing,
to you for evermore we bring
Beati Quorum via integra est in aeterna.
2. God Only Knows
I may not always love you
But long as there are stars above you
You never need to doubt it
I’ll make you so sure about it
God only knows what I’d be without you
If you should ever leave me
Though life would still go on believe me
The world could show nothing to me
So what good would living do me
God only knows what I’d be without you
God only knows what I’d be without you
3. Far Away
Wherever I go
Far away and anywhere
Time after time you always shine
through dark of night calling after me
And wherever I climb
Far away and any where
You raise me high beyond the sky
through stormy night lifting me above
Venite Spiritu et emitte caelitus
Whenever I cry
Far away and anywhere
You hear me call when shadows fall
your light of hope showing me the way
And wherever I climb
Far away and any where
You raise me high beyond the sky
through stormy night lifting me above
Far away beyond the sky
4. Ave Verum
Ave verum corpus, natum
de Maria Virgine,
vere passum, immolatum
in cruce pro homine
cuius latus perforatum
fluxit aqua et sanguine
esto nobis prægustatum
in mortis examine.
O Iesu dulcis, O Iesu pie,
O Iesu, fili Mariae.
Miserere mei.
5. The Lighthouse
At the end of the jetty
where the walk-way meets the blue.
I’ll stand a-lone in the dark-ness
shining through.
No wind can sway me.
All rain a welcome shower.
To muse is to soar through heaven.
Hour on hour.
Roving through the night,
weary hearts ignite,
when they catch a glimpse
of that familiar light,
Nothing anywhere ever can compare
to the one who’s always there
O, great conveyor
for you I’ll be an aid.
You’ll steer an untroubled passage
unswayed
But, sweet deliv’rer,
one day, to me, at tend.
I’ll long to hear you calling,
my friend
Roving through the night,
weary hearts ignite,
when they catch a glimpse
of that familiar light,
Nothing anywhere ever can compare
to the one who’s always there
Out of the fog out of the mire
a familiar outline fires afar.
Hurrying over the glimmering bath
stemming the tide holding us apart.
Ploughing ahead with certain design,
a shot in the dark, an invisible line,
long awaited, hurtling through,
into the light and I’m born anew.
Now after all, returned again,
you heard my call, you heard, my friend,
and while away, I watched afar,
now here you’ll stay, now here you are.
6. O Beata
O beata, benedicta et gloriosa Trinitas,
O Pater Filius, O Spiritus sanctus.
Alleluia
O vera et summa et sempiterna Trinitas,
O Pater Filius, O Spiritus Sanctus.
Alleluia
O blessed and glorious Trinity
O Father, Son, O Holy Spirit.
Alleluia
O true, supreme and eternal Trinity
O Father, Son, O Holy Spirit.
Alleluia
7. Anima Christi
Anima Christi, sanctifica me.
Corpus Christi, salva me.
Sanguis Christi, inebria me.
Aqua lateris Christi, lava me.
Passio Christi, conforta me.
O bone Jesu, exaudi me.
Intra vulnera tua absconde me.
Ne permittas me separari a te.
Ab hoste maligno defende me.
In hora mortis meae voca me.
Et jube me venire ad te,
Ut cum Sanctis tuis laudem te,
Per infinita saecula saeculorum,
Amen.
Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, inebriate me
Water from the side of Christ, wash me
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
O good Jesus, hear me
Within Thy wounds hide me
Suffer me not to be separated from Thee
From the malignant enemy defend me
In the hour of my death call me
And bid me come unto Thee
That with Thy Saints I may praise Thee
Forever and ever.
Amen.
8. Come My Way
Come, my Way, my Truth, my Life:
such a way as gives us breath;
such a truth as ends all strife;
such a life as killeth death.
All holy lord who art the light and day,
This night we pray to thee, guard and keep us safe
So pierce the gloom and drive the night a way
Then lead us day by day to thy glorious light
Come, my Joy, my Love, my Heart:
Such a joy as none can move;
Such a love as none can part;
Such a heart as joys in love.
Lift us from sorrow grief and fear and protect us ever more.
9. At Sea
Now find we all at sea,
short a compass, suddenly;
Out on the water, far from home,
wandering further to the unknown
Call out to escort us, call out to me.
Call out to support us, call out to me.
Now find we ill at ease,
less a rudder, drawn on the breeze;
Charting a course not travelled before,
wondering when we’ll find the shore.
Call out to escort us, call out to me.
Call out to support us, call out to me.
Now find we cast adrift,
fearful were the tides to shift;
Gathering closer to stave off the cold,
heartened to have each other to hold.
Call out to escort us, call out to support us, call out to me.
10. Sing For Ever
I will sing for you at the start of each day,
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you
In all things I do in the dawn of’ my life,
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you
Shutting out night my life renewed,
Happy for love that is to come
Opening eyes I’ll follow you
Glad to see, glad to be yours
Echoing what you say,
Shining out what you are,
Out of dark, into your light
I will sing for you in the light of each day
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you
In all things I do at the noon of my life,
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you
I will sing for you at the end of each day,
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you
In all things I do in the eve of my life,
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you
I will sing for you each and every day,
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you
In all things I do to the end of my life
I’ll sing for ever, sing for you
11. Be Still My Soul
12. A Grateful Heart
Thou that hast given so much to me,
Give one thing more – a grateful heart;
Not thankful when it pleaseth me,
As if Thy blessings had spare days;
But such a heart whose pulse may be
Thy praise.
Thou that hast given so much to me,
Give one thing more – a grateful heart;
13. Love Shine A Light
Love shine a light in every corner of my heart
Let the love light carry, let the love light carry
Light up the magic in every little part
Let our love shine a light in every corner of our hearts
Love shine a light in every corner of my dreams
Let the love light carry, let the love light carry
Like the mighty river, flowing from the stream
Let our love shine a light in every corner of my dreams
And we’re all gonna shine a light together
All shine a light to light the way
Brothers and sisters, in every little part
Let our love shine a light in every corner of our hearts
Love shine a light in every corner of the world
Let the love light carry, let the love light carry
Light up the magic, for every boy and girl
Let our love shine a light in every corner of the world

Alexandre, Mathias, Victor and Koji.Korean Tour Blog 2023 Part 2.
Now into the second half of our Korean tour we were pleasantly surprised by a full buffet in the morning. We boarded the coach, slipping into our usual seats at the back, hoping for a short ride to the concert venue. However, we were struck with a 90-minute journey without devices, a nightmare for most of the boys on board – but not us. As the bigs, we immediately took responsibility for entertainment, singing libera classics and hymns in perfect harmony. We eventually arrived at Iksan Arts Centre for our third concert, which was once again very successful. We’ve really enjoyed the local food in Korea, including the later dinner we had that evening of pork cutlets and rice.
The next day followed a similar regime. We finished breakfast, and headed straight to the concert venue, which luckily had a park nearby. As bigs, we’re always finding ways of sneaking football into our touring lives. Today was no different, as we spotted a perfect opportunity. Using coats and water bottles as goals and sorting teams as fast as we could, we managed to get a game rolling, a huge success in our books. We then made our way into the dressing rooms where extra time was passed in the mirror-maze of the dressing rooms, We did a quick soundcheck and it was show time. Following our concert, once again we were treated to more amazing food, this time fried chicken at a place from our sponsors. We enjoyed it so much that some even tried sneaking some back to the hotel. That didn’t quite go to plan but we re-boarded the coach and journeyed back to the hotel.
Day eight had no concert to worry about so we spent the day visiting a Korean Folk Village. On the way we stopped into a shop to hire some traditional Korean clothes. Some of us looked like Gods and others looked more like lowly villagers, but everyone looked excellent. We were expecting most of the boys to dress traditionally, but this was quickly scuppered when Victor picked out a bright red armoured outfit, resembling the likes of Genghis Khan! Our first stop in the village was a small cabin where an old man was selling antique flutes. To our surprise, this difficult instrument was immediately picked up by both Luca and Freddie and they spent the majority of the day working out Libera classics such as Wayfaring Stranger on these fiendish instruments as we meandered through the ancient buildings and grounds. To our delight, there was a less traditional part of the village too, which consisted of a large swinging ship and a small roller-coaster. As expected, as us bigs strapped into the ride, we were petrified and were quickly mocked by the public as we screamed for the entirety, perhaps not so wise with a concert the next day… whoops. We saw some incredible traditional Korean dance and music and had a good opportunity to buy souvenirs and presents for our families back at home. Throughout the journey back from the village, we provided the usual entertainment of songs and hymns, including ‘For lo I raise up’ and ‘The heavens are telling’.
An eventful penultimate day came around, as after eating our usual buffet, we departed to the Bear Tree Park. We we pondered as to whether there would be actual bears in the bear tree park. I guess you could say we bearly knew what was going on! Eventually, we found ourselves interacting with the actual bears by feeding them. The bears were astonishingly good at catching the pieces of carrot despite many of them lazing around on their bottoms. This was followed by a few games of disease which were challenging due to the tough terrain posed by the steep hill on which the park was situated. Before the concert, we stopped at a mall to eat at a large buffet restaurant. There was an excellent selection of cuisines, but without a doubt, the most popular was the desert station and waffle machine with the younger ones boys. After making our way to the venue, we had a relatively short soundcheck and before we knew it we found ourselves in the green room, eating a pre-show jam sandwich. Following the concert, we had an enormous signing which lasted close to an hour, with some of the boys receiving gifts. Victor received a bouquet of flowers, and Freddie was given a rose. We celebrated the final concert of our successful tour with pizza and milkshakes in the dressing room. Due to the late return from the signing, many of the boys fell asleep on the coach which was disappointing as us Bigs were eager to continue entertaining the younger ones, even after the last concert.
As the final day dawned, all were awake nice and early to enjoy our last hearty breakfast before leaving. We finished packing our cases, loaded them onto the coach and said goodbye to the hotel we had called home for five nights. Ultimately, we would reach Incheon Airport, but we would make a stop at the Suwon World Cup stadium where three games were hosted in the 2002 Japan and Korea World Cup. The stadium-turned-part-museum was jam packed with interesting areas, including a room for the great Ji-Sung Park, a small astroturf and even pitch side access inside the ground itself, where lots of pictures and videos were taken. Driving to our last meal out, we ate and (obviously) got on the coach again. Throughout the 10 days, we had kept the same coach to take us everywhere, all the time. So, as we finally departed, we cherished the fond memories of the purple curtains, air conditioning, our loud singalongs, and of course, how we experienced Korea from the back row.
We have announced a tour to the United States in the Summer of 2023, in conjunction with Libera of the US. We are delighted to be able to return at last to the USA for the first time since 2019, and we are very much looking forward to visiting some familiar people and places, and meeting some new ones.
Tickets will soon be available from our official ticket website. In the meantime please do not contact the venues.

Beati, beati, beati quorum via integra est.
Let all that dwell underneath the sky,
across the sea.
Brighten the dark fill us with the light of day you bring.
Jubilate Deo omnis terra
Servitae Domino in laetitia
The stars shine bright the angels sing.
To you for evermore we bring.
Beati Quorum via integra est in aeterna.
Let all that dwell underneath the sky,
across the earth.
Lift up your voice across the sea
Jubilate Deo Omnis terra
Servitae Domino laetitia
The sun shines bright the angels sing,
to you for evermore we bring
Beati Quorum via integra est in aeterna.
2. God Only Knows
I may not always love you
But long as there are stars above you
You never need to doubt it
I’ll make you so sure about it
God only knows what I’d be without you
If you should ever leave me
Though life would still go on believe me
The world could show nothing to me
So what good would living do me
God only knows what I’d be without you
God only knows what I’d be without you
3. Far Away
Wherever I go
Far away and anywhere
Time after time you always shine
through dark of night calling after me
And wherever I climb
Far away and any where
You raise me high beyond the sky
through stormy night lifting me above
Venite Spiritu et emitte caelitus
Whenever I cry
Far away and anywhere
You hear me call when shadows fall
your light of hope showing me the way
And wherever I climb
Far away and any where
You raise me high beyond the sky
through stormy night lifting me above
Far away beyond the sky
4. Ave Verum
Ave verum corpus, natum
de Maria Virgine,
vere passum, immolatum
in cruce pro homine
cuius latus perforatum
fluxit aqua et sanguine
esto nobis prægustatum
in mortis examine.
O Iesu dulcis, O Iesu pie,
O Iesu, fili Mariae.
Miserere mei.
5. The Lighthouse
At the end of the jetty
where the walk-way meets the blue.
I’ll stand a-lone in the dark-ness
shining through.
No wind can sway me.
All rain a welcome shower.
To muse is to soar through heaven.
Hour on hour.
Roving through the night,
weary hearts ignite,
when they catch a glimpse
of that familiar light,
Nothing anywhere ever can compare
to the one who’s always there
O, great conveyor
for you I’ll be an aid.
You’ll steer an untroubled passage
unswayed
But, sweet deliv’rer,
one day, to me, at tend.
I’ll long to hear you calling,
my friend
Roving through the night,
weary hearts ignite,
when they catch a glimpse
of that familiar light,
Nothing anywhere ever can compare
to the one who’s always there
Out of the fog out of the mire
a familiar outline fires afar.
Hurrying over the glimmering bath
stemming the tide holding us apart.
Ploughing ahead with certain design,
a shot in the dark, an invisible line,
long awaited, hurtling through,
into the light and I’m born anew.
Now after all, returned again,
you heard my call, you heard, my friend,
and while away, I watched afar,
now here you’ll stay, now here you are.
6. O Beata
O beata, benedicta et gloriosa Trinitas,
O Pater Filius, O Spiritus sanctus.
Alleluia
O vera et summa et sempiterna Trinitas,
O Pater Filius, O Spiritus Sanctus.
Alleluia
O blessed and glorious Trinity
O Father, Son, O Holy Spirit.
Alleluia
O true, supreme and eternal Trinity
O Father, Son, O Holy Spirit.
Alleluia
7. Anima Christi
Anima Christi, sanctifica me.
Corpus Christi, salva me.
Sanguis Christi, inebria me.
Aqua lateris Christi, lava me.
Passio Christi, conforta me.
O bone Jesu, exaudi me.
Intra vulnera tua absconde me.
Ne permittas me separari a te.
Ab hoste maligno defende me.
In hora mortis meae voca me.
Et jube me venire ad te,
Ut cum Sanctis tuis laudem te,
Per infinita saecula saeculorum,
Amen.
Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, inebriate me
Water from the side of Christ, wash me
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
O good Jesus, hear me
Within Thy wounds hide me
Suffer me not to be separated from Thee
From the malignant enemy defend me
In the hour of my death call me
And bid me come unto Thee
That with Thy Saints I may praise Thee
Forever and ever.
Amen.

By: Cameron and LewisThe Korean tour 2023 started, of course, with a day of flying from London to Seoul. We were exhausted when we arrived, however we kept pushing on and, in the end, once we had got into the proper city we met our Korean promoters and shared some delicious pizza. We then explored around Seoul and went to the President’s old house, which was incredible, with chandeliers worth thousands and stunning views of mountains behind the building. A quick kickaround in the park worked up our appetites for dinner, after which we were all very tired, so we went back to the hotel for a good first sleep.
The slightly cramped, oddly-scented rehearsal room of the next morning was a far cry from the previous luxury of the presidents house, but we made sure we knew what we were doing for our concerts and moose watched carefully on. After going up the Seoul Tower, because Libera boys love going up towers, we went to a delicious Korean barbecue restaurant where they were cooking pork on the table right in front of our eyes. Everyone loved the restaurant, and many claimed that it was the best food that we had so far.
The next day we had a relaxing morning and then went to a board game café, where were many choices of games from battleships to chess. Our group, including Daniel, Luca, Freddie H and Mitchel played a game of poker with actual chips. However, we were not betting any money. The winner was Mitchel as he bet a lot of his chips but his confidence paid off! After that we went back to the hotel to have a spot of lunch. Then it was time for the concert.
The nerves were high as the first and most important concert was coming up. Waiting in the sides everyone was motivating each other. Once we got on stage the Korean fans loved us they were all very happy and always joyful. During the first chat, after a great performance of Vespera and Sanctus, Pietro shocked and pleased the fans with his amazing Korean language skills. Overall, the concert was amazing and went very smoothly despite some small mistakes. After the concert we went to do signings and it was a great and new experience for many of us.
On a cloudy day we went to the Yeouido Han River Park to do some biking which was very fun as some people were very good, we even did some races for fun. Then that night we had a concert in the world’s largest underground church. We were all miked up and ready to go and the crowd of about 5000 people seemed to like us. We finished with our special encore of Arirang which the crowd loved! After the concert we had pictures taken with some children from the church and it felt like we were superstars.
Before leaving Seoul, we got in a quick sight-seeing opportunity at a local palace where there was lots of cherry blossom and there was even a couple doing their wedding photos. On the way to our next hotel, we had an amazing stop at Lotte world, which was a Korean theme park. This was so cool, there were so many rides, and we had a great time. Some of the rides were extremely cool and one was 70m in the air. Personally, we think the best roller-coaster was the Pharaoh’s Fury, mainly because it was translated as Pharoh’s Furry on many of the signs! We stopped at a pasta place for dinner and all were full and tired after another exciting day on tour.
