My name is Mia and it truly is an honor for me to sit and feel the significance of this gifted new beginning in my life. I am overwhelmed and humbled by the privilege and opportunity to walk, converse, and grow with you as we explore the many facets of relational health through the format of an ongoing dialogue. After over 25 years in the fields of counseling, education, and facilitation (including much pain, growth, trial, and error), it has become clearly evident to me that creating spaces to promote life giving connection with others is a game changer in the quality of relational health and lives of people.
Connection is formed when an acute awareness of the identified value of oneself is combined with the ability to make room for the stories of others. This is one of the most powerful expressions of thoughtfulness that exists. The results are potently antidotal and stabilizing in the midst of an ever changing and, many times, overwhelming existence in this world.
Great anchoring accompanies the knowledge that your arrival has been anticipated. There is something undeniably moving about the energy that is birthed when we are treated as valuable versus disposable. Not valuable because of what we have or offer, or for making another comfortable, but simply because.
We all arrive on the porch of life with dirt on our “soles.” This is why we are often asked to remove our shoes before we enter someone’s space.
Take a load off and join me for a while. This site will invite us to remove our figurative shoes and examine our “souls” before moving into spaces (relationships) and contaminating others, but even more importantly, for the emotional safety and wellness with ourselves.
My intention is to create a safe space in the midst of our shenanigans, whatever form that might take in our lives. I am so excited and honored for this opportunity with you.
Let’s go, I’m listening…
