Its love that will drive you to make the biggest sacrifices and take the greatest risks. For the sake of time I want to focus on the one relationships that affect a majority of the people I know…their marriage. I know first hand that the ability to grow your business can be greatly affected by your marriage. It affects every part of your life and to not acknowledge that would be foolish. The decisions that you make for your business oftentimes aren’t business related at all, they are family related. They influence the decisions you make regarding where your new office will be located, the types of clients you will entertain, how late you’ll work, the types of investments you will make, how much time you choose to be at the office, etc. Lao Tzu, father of taoism and the Art of War says:

This doesn’t mean religion although religion can be what gives spiritual health but its about what gives us that sense of purpose. Its what drives us to do what we do and gives meaning behind every long lasting business. The second lever to achieving growth in your business is a healthy body. The key word, “healthy”, not skinny. I’m going to tell you that being attractive is not a “skinny” thing. The most attractive people are the people who look and feel the healthiest. I’m not going to talk about what to do because we all know eating right and being active is the answer. Right now the number of business transactions are down but the number of potential customers is significantly higher. The number of jobs you are on is down, but the number of people that will need your services when the country opens back up will be accelerated.

Your customers love you, they miss your services, they miss connecting with you. Imagine if you’re a hair salon, you know how many women are talking about their roots as I speak?  Do you know how many people need to get back on the treadmill with their trainers? Business hasn’t stopped. Maybe the sales transactions have, but business is very much alive if you are in the business of building relationships. Call your customers, reach out to them and see how they are doing and that you are thinking about them. Your business is not a business if it isn’t about people and the ones you care about.
