a little more comfortable

like my humanity

Its depths unsearchable

My cheeks blush at you in process

Save your perfection

Keep your finale for the strangers

With your bedroom light in place of the studio

With your morning voice before the effects

Before the tea can clear up your intention

It’s honest

Easy on my affection

Vulnerable

I like you like that

So come here,

Leave those edits at the door

Audio of my latest poetry book, Backstage (a collection of love poems)

This is a collection of love poems. No matter where I went to perform or the vast topic I’d explore with my pen, I always found my way back here, to love. It was the place I felt most at ease, safe and soft. I wanted the fluff, glam, and hard and messy parts of love to find a place in these stanzas.

I think love, good and true is an unavoidable desire that we all have, so here on these pages, I hope you find hope and company wherever you are in this journey of life and love. I hope you see the love that surrounds you beyond romance.
