The Quest for an Energy “Holy Grail”
Utah's power plant will tap into the federal government's 9.5 billion dollars in tax credits for hydrogen production. The power plant claims it will make 100,000 KG of hydrogen per month. This would allow them $300,000 per day in tax credits for making hydrogen from electricity and then burning it to make electricity again.
Making 1 kg of hydrogen from electricity requires 49KWH of electricity.
1 kg of hydrogen makes 40KWH of electricity. Loosing 9 KWH each time the cycle is completed. The largest Energy Boondoggle in history

Propane on the farm and farm incentives
Propane-Powered Industrial Engines – New, EPA- and/or CARB-certified
industrial engines used for agricultural purposes can qualify for the following
incentives:
$300/liter of displacement for pumping applications and up to $3,000 for certified
dual fuel systems.
Power Generation
• $30/kW for prime power generation
• $15/kW for backup power generation
Propane-Powered Water Heating Systems – New, high-efficiency water heating
systems used in agricultural production operations are eligible for an incentive of
$2000. The system must either be installed in new construction or as a conversion
from another power source.
Propane-Powered Poultry, Swine, & Greenhouse Heating Systems – New
poultry, swine, and greenhouse heating systems are eligible for an incentive of
$0.10/square foot, up to $2000 maximum per system, when installed as part of an
entire system installation. The complete heating system must either be installed in
new construction or as a conversion from another power source.
Propane-Powered Flame Weed Control – New tractor pulled flame weed
control systems are eligible for an incentive of $1500. New push type flame
weed control carts are eligible for an incentive of $100.
To qualify for the Propane Farm Incentive Program, producers must purchase eligible propane-powered equipment while meeting the following criteria:
• Represent a farm or agribusiness and be at least 18 years of age.
• Provide an appropriate tax identification number or social security number unique to the farm operation receiving the incentive.
• Must use equipment on a U.S. farm as defined by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in direct support of agricultural production. If not on a farm, equipment must be used in support of an agribusiness dedicated to the primary processing of any agricultural, horticultural, or animal commodity.

A paper recently published in Nature Energy based on pioneering research done at Illinois Institute of Technology reveals a promising breakthrough in green energy: an electrolyzer device capable of converting carbon dioxide into propane in a manner that is both scalable and economically viable.
As the United States races toward its target of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, innovative methods to reduce the significant carbon dioxide emissions from electric power and industrial sectors are critical. Mohammad Asadi, assistant professor of chemical engineering at Illinois Tech, spearheaded this groundbreaking research.
“Making renewable chemical manufacturing is really important,” says Asadi. “It’s the best way to close the carbon cycle without losing the chemicals we currently use daily.”

The Nuclear power plant, proposed in the desert of eastern Utah, would require 55,000-acre feet of water from the green river that feeds the drought-ridden colorado river system that supplies Glen canyon and Hover hydro dams. Sixteen years in the planning, costs have rose from 3 billion to 30+ billion.
This project shows how long nuclear power plants take to go from concept to producing power. This plant could have been open in the next 10 to 15 years but with the financial and water woes, this facility will most likely never produce a drop of clean energy.

Wyoming makes some noise by proposing a resolution to "Phase out EV Sales by 2035" as a tongue-in-cheek statement to get your attention to how important Wyoming is for oil, gas, coal, and, oh yeah, all the energy that it takes to create electricity to charge your EV and cook on electric stoves.
Perhaps this resolution was in response to news outlets trying to portray a gas stove ban by the CPSC
Statement by CPSC - Over the past several days, there has been a lot of attention paid to gas stove emissions and to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Research indicates that emissions from gas stoves can be hazardous, and the CPSC is looking for ways to reduce related indoor air quality hazards. But to be clear, I am not looking to ban gas stoves and the CPSC has no proceeding to do so. CPSC is researching gas emissions in stoves and exploring new ways to address health risks. CPSC also is actively engaged in strengthening voluntary safety standards for gas stoves. And later this spring, we will be asking the public to provide us with information about gas stove emissions and potential solutions for reducing any associated risks. This is part of our product safety mission – learning about hazards and working to make products safer.Fun facts about gas stoves-
3 Billion people worldwide do not have access to clean cooking with gas stoves. These 3 billion people use wood, charcoal, and dung. That's right, over 2 billion people cook and heat water with dung. According to a review article by Goldemberg et al. (2018), the current state of scientific understanding indicates that the health impact resulting from direct exposure to smoke from biomass cooking leads to about 2.2–3.8 million excess deaths per year, accounting for about 3.9%–6.4% of global mortality. WHO reports Exposure to smoke from cooking fires causes 3.8 million premature deaths each year, mostly in low- and middle-income countries.
Residential use of US natural gas consumption accounts for 15% of total Nat gas, and only 7% of the residential use is for cooking.
If the US bans gas stoves, the 3 billion people worldwide who would love access to gas stoves will be further suppressed by reducing access to affordable, gas stoves. Propane provides the world with affordable, clean energy. Don't let anyone take that choice from you.

Propane Rejection at natural gas plants at natural gas trades at $26 per mm btu at Opal WY Hub and peaked at above $50!. Natural gas producers leave propane high and dry as the stop making propane because it’s more profitable to leave it in the Nat gas stream.
EIA- In Wyoming, prices rose at two major hubs which are key sources of supply for the West Coast: at the Opal Hub, the price increased $26.41 from $26.37/MMBtu last Wednesday to $52.78/MMBtu yesterday, and the price at the Cheyenne Hub in southeast Wyoming rose $29.15 from $5.73/MMBtu last Wednesday to $34.88/MMBtu yesterday.

California Executive Order signed by Gov Newsom allows ships docked at port to use gasoline/diesel ship power instead of shore power. The EO also suspends emissions restrictions at gas power plants, allows generators to run during restricted times, and allows thermal power plants to pollute more water. While asking residents not to cook, clean clothes, and charge cars. This is just days after the California Clean Air Board bans sales of gas-powered cars by 2035. Meanwhile, begging PG&E's Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant to stay open until 2035 with a $1.4 Billion forgivable loan after pushing for years for it to close by 2025.
Let this be a lesson to surrounding states when pushing to remove clean fuels like Propane from your Clean Energy portfolio.

(CNN) -- An atmospheric river event known as the "Pineapple Express" is forecast to bring a prolonged period of wet weather and the potential for avalanchesto Washington and Oregon beginning Sunday.
The effects from rain and considerable mountain snow will be felt through early this week. With the ground already saturated from previous storms, flooding is possible even from the few inches of rain the storm is forecast to produce.
Avalanche warnings have been issued for much of the Cascades across Washington ahead of this heavy snow. A "high" avalanche danger warning (level 4 out of 5) has been issued for Sunday by the Northwest Avalanche Center. Large natural avalanches are possible even at lower elevations.
Avalanches have killed 30 people across the United States this winter season, according to the Colorado Avalanche Information Center.
