And we're still fighting amongst ourselves. Today. This green field right here, painted red, bubbling with blood. Young boys Smoke. And hot lead pouring right through their bodies. Listen to their souls men. Kill my brother with malice in my heart. Hatred. Destroy my family. You listen. Take a lesson from the dead. If we don't come together right now. On this hallowed ground. We too will be destroyed. Just like they. I don't care if you like each other or not but you will respect each other. And maybe, I don't know. Maybe we'll Learn to play this game like men."

We wish you a happy Christmas and a joyful New Year!

Reasons to Rejoice is a five minute window each day where we lift our eyes to God and revel in who He is! Advent can be a frantic time and often one where it's hard to feel near to God. Why not join with us to celebrate the goodness of God each day for 25 days? We don't want to dismiss the challenges of our world, but we do want to celebrate the King who came to the manger and now sits in glory. Let's dedicate ourselves to rejoicing in Him this Christmas.

At Ps & Gs over Advent, we are going to be looking at Reasons to Rejoice. The reason we're doing this is because in God, we always have cause for celebration. This is not to dismiss what is going on in our world but to actively come back to the God who is hope and the God who comes close and remind ourselves each day why it is that we can always rejoice.

We would love for you to join us!

This recording is taken from our recent Bible Lab event where we explored how we love God, our neighbour and all creation as we heard from Professor Loren Wilkinson.

Prof Wilkinson is an Emeritus fellow at Regent College, Vancouver and was one of the earliest international voices to speak on Christians and creation care.

He introduced us to the themes of his new book “Circles and the Cross: Cosmos, Consciousness, Christ, and the Human Place in Creation” and then there is a time of Q&A.

If you'd like the slides from this Bible Lab, please contact office@psandgs.org.uk.

Bible Lab events are designed to help us to discover more of the rich treasure which is in the Bible. Each session will have a different focus & flavour and will use different learning styles to help us to engage with the topic.

This Bible Lab topic is 'What does the Bible say about same sex relationships: A conversation with David Bennet and Taylor Telford'.

Dr David Bennett is the acclaimed author of 'A War of Loves', and works at Oxford University. He is a celibate gay Christian who holds a biblically-traditional ethic. www.dacbennett.com/

Revd Dr Taylor Telford is the pastor of a Presbyterian church in the USA. As a gay Christian, she believes that the Bible makes room for sexual relationships between gay people.
