She would go on to fight the cancer for a little less than three months before losing the battle on January 4th of this year. But, instead of making herself appear selfless, she might have made people think that she was a bit selfish. Has a show or movie ever ruined your perception of something? I was watching show on Netflix yesterday and started laughing about some of the silly storylines that would likely never happen in a real life high school. This led my mind down a path of my own high school experience and how it was nothing like I thought it was going to be, and I blame the TV shows and movies I grew up watching.

For Mother's Day, the morning show gave away 95.7 seconds of airtime to the winner of a mother/daughter lookalike contest. Stephanie ended up winning the contest with a picture of her daughter and grand daughter and she chose to use her airtime to bring awareness of Autism.

This week's featured rewind is a segment when Fish's wife, Alicia, first decided to get a horse. But, this isn't when she first decided to buy a horse, instead it is when she leased a horse. In the beginning of the bit, Fish "told" Alicia that she could lease a horse, but she couldn't buy one. Well, jokes on Fish now, because a couple years later Alicia did end up buying a horse and now the two are the proud owners of a beautiful horse named Latina. Yesterday we talked about how we are in the middle of 10 days of palindromes. Quick background on that... Fish said his was from his wife who said she liked cuddling with Fish because of how soft and squishy he was. Today on the show we celebrated Connie's memory with something that she loved to do every Friday. Connie Kellie passed away on Monday afternoon of liver cancer and we had tributes all week and we knew we could only end those tribute shows one way. A dance party. Sadly, 99% of the music have strict copyrights, but we were able to include a couple of songs that we think you will enjoy. Besides the music, we shared some more stories, memories, and other ways that Connie touched lives all over. So, enjoy our final tribute show to Connie Kellie, may she rest in peace.
Today was the third part of our memorial shows to Connie Kellie, who lost her battle with Cancer on Monday, January 4th. Today we got to talk to some old producers, program directors (that's radio code for our bosses), and general managers. We shared stories of Connie from years passed and we all laughed, cried and smiled because of them. We also got to hear from some listeners who had formed extra special bonds with Connie over the years. Once again, we love and miss you Connie and hope you are listening to this right now and smiling in knowing that you have touched so many lives throughout your career. Rest in peace.
Yesterday we had to share the news that Connie had passed. The show yesterday was pretty heavy and we thank everyone who participated. We shared memories, condolences, and stories about how Connie touched our lives. Today, we did the same but the tone had changed a little bit. Today we had the opportunity to talk with many of Connie's good friends, former co-workers, producers, and many others who shared time with Connie during her career. We hope you can take some joy from this show and smile as we look back at a true force in this world, Connie Kellie. Thanks to everyone who shared their stories yesterday and today. I believe that you were put on this earth to provide happiness to those that needed it, to provide strength to those that may have been lacking and to provide love to those that would accept it. You opened doors for women in radio and open minds for women and men alike that it’s ok to be. To be with or have a strong woman in your house, life or company and embrace it wholeheartedly. Thank you Connie for our time. I love you and please, if you get a chance, tell my mother Hi and that I love her. Well, it's officially 2021 and we are ready to see what this year will bring us. It can't be worse than last year, right? Right? Over 3 months ago, Steve and his wife Brittainy welcomed their second daughter Isabelle to the world and today she finally makes her radio debut. Fish was super excited to get brand new baby audio and was hoping that she would talk about him. It was a shame that we had to explain to Fish that 3-month-old babies don't talk. We got a message from a Brother in Pain about accompanying his 6-year-old daughter to the bathroom when he was out shopping. He couldn't find a family bathroom so he walked into a woman's bathroom with his daughter and a woman in the restroom freaked out and told him that she felt violated. He took his daughter to a different bathroom with no one in it, but he wanted to know what the Click of Six thought of the whole situation. We had a very interesting guy who called in to the show today. He said his name was Odysseus and he was a DJ who made music that was a cross between dubstep, heavy metal, and hip hop or something. Today's show was a very emotional show because Connie called in to give us an update on her cancer diagnosis. The news she shared was the worst news possible. Her liver cancer is incurable and stage 4. Connie shared what her treatment plan would be and thanked everyone for all of the love and support. You can her here call in its entirety on today's show. Today Connie called in to the show and shared some news that no one wanted to hear. Connie's cancer diagnosis is incurable stage 4 liver cancer.
The news came as a shock because the doctors told her that the liver cancer she has is extremely rare and usually only found in people who are much older. Connie's liver is enlarged and the cancer has spread from the liver to the blood vessels surrounding it, making a transplant and surgery impossible.
Connie shared with us that she will start treatment plan soon and that will basically be immunotherapy to slow the spread of the cancer. The treatment isn't designed to cure the cancer, but instead is to make her feel better.
We had quite the little lovers quarrel on the show today after a Text Question of the Day response triggered a discussion. Number 2 of the Top 5ish was from a young lady who recently broke up. We ended up talking to both her and her ex boyfriend on the show, trying to sort out why they broke up. Steve shared a story about his daughter today that really impressed Fish. Yesterday, Charlotte had to go get a shot at the doctor and she was straight up fearless. You may have noticed that Connie has been absent from the show for the last couple of weeks. Fish and Steve were deliberately vague about why she wasn't on the show because Connie wanted to share the news herself.
So, yesterday she called in to the show to share her story and to tell the Click of Six why she has been gone. Connie received news last week that doctors found cancer on her kidney and liver. She was hospitalized for several days before returning home where she is awaiting a treatment plan from her oncologist. You can listen to the entire conversation we had with Connie below.
Connie really appreciates all of the love, prayers, and thoughts that you are sending her way. Since there have been so many messages, it has been hard to keep up, but just know that your message will make it to Connie. We want to thank you all for your love, support, and well wishes.
On today's show, Connie calls in a gives everyone an update as to where she has been. If you haven't had a chance to listen to the show recently, Connie has been gone for over a week and today she called in to tell us that she has been diagnosed with liver and kidney cancer. She is still in the early stages of the diagnosis and doesn't know what her treatment plan is going to be yet. We got to hear some brand new audio from baby Charlotte today! Steve showed his daughter some fireworks on Monday night and she was quite impressed.
