Daily livestreams recorded in front of a live virtual audience. Mostly runners. Sometimes, we talk about running.
Got a bunch of shoes in. They weren't what I was expecting, although I think none of them were under embargo. So that's progress, I guess
This week's guest is Eddbud, who I challenge to a game of name that shoe. I've taken super close up pictures of shoes he's made videos about, and he'll have to name that shoe. A twist is that it seems that I have different color ways of shoes than he has, so it adds an element of extra difficulty.

Gonna taste test some new summer products from Skratch. And then I unbox some uncharacteristic apparel from Path Projects.
I'll show you a shoe and give you a few colorway names. You have to guess which one is fake.
Also, we had a ton of unboxings.
got a few boxes in the mail.
Also, the livestream will be operating under summer hours for the season. Livestreams will be on Mondays and Thursdays.
starting June 3, the livestream will be moving to summer hours. There will be livestreams on Mondays and Thursdays only.
I show you a very close up picture of a shoe. You name that shoe!
This will be a good one to watch as a video podcast or on youtube.
there was a lot of track news last weekend. let's how closely you've been paying attention.
London Marathon didn't quite go as I had hoped, and I finally sit down with my coaches to debrief and troubleshoot. The early elevated HR definitely signaled that something was wrong. What exactly it signaled, I'm still not sure. But we go over some things that it could have been that, either alone or taken as a whole, could help explain what went wrong. 0:00 intro2:59 headspace going in to the race6:38 working during a taper10:30 how I felt during the race14:53 elevated HR18:14 feeling cold20:20 I'm a half tights guy22:40 poor meal planning27:54 too many beers?30:59 tweaking the training plan35:35 plan moving forwardFor further detail:Strava: https://www.strava.com/activities/11231514057London Marathon Race video: https://youtu.be/flAQNO5CGJ0?si=y9Ip2z9QS_jlTDaOLondon Marathon Runner's Weekend: https://youtu.be/ClfMSlVzi64?si=CmNmyeds1NkBIn0FFind Sage and Sandi:Coaching at Higher Runninghttps://higherrunning.comSage on YouTubehttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCh_w_vLvlZNBeTAP8qaWhoASandi on IGhttps://www.instagram.com/sandinypaver/

Just got back from a very long trip of Boston Marathon, London Marathon, and Road to Records in Germany.

Katelyn Tuohy, Cyprian Kotut, and Coach Jack Waitz join Kofuzi for a discussion about running, legacy, and of course, running shoes during the Boston Marathon weekend 2024. Kofuzi asked Katelyn whether she could ever see herself lining up for a marathon. 2:04 Marathoner Cyprian Kotut shared his secrets for managing pain during the marathon. And Coach Jack Waitz talked about some of the strangest training conditions he and his late wife and marathon legend, Grete Waitz had to endure while training in Norway. 0:00 intro2:50 when did Katelyn fall in love with the sport10:07 Jack Waitz describes winter running for Grete Waitz13:17 Katelyn looks back on her time at NC State15:45 Cyprian Kotut on his running legacy16:51 Jack looks back on first Women's Olympic Marathon18:01 Katelyn on NIL and the future of women's sports21:20 Cyprian's mental prep for the marathon22:21 will Katelyn ever race a marathon?23:13 Cyprian's Boston Marathon race day shoe25:00 Katelyn's shoe rotation

YWGO, today, I’ll be sharing a recent coaching call I had with my new coaches, Sage and Sandi of Higher Running. I’ve been following each of them for years, so when it came time to start thinking about how to approach a PB attempt I’d like to make for the London Marathon, they were my first choice of coaches to work with. I’m about halfway through my training for London, so I thought this would be a good time to check in with them to talk about how things are going. We’ll talk about tough workouts, being uncomfortable, and nutrition. I hope you enjoy this conversation with Sage and Sandi.

Habtamu Cheney just graduated from college and ran a 63:19 half marathon debut (20 seconds shy of the US Trials standard) and then followed that up with a 2:16:12 marathon debut. But he’s got an enormous amount of upside, now that he’s gotten into the Conner Mantz group chat and is being coached by Ed Eyestone. unboxing something to celebrate the year of the dragon. also, an update on the neighborhood watch situation
discussing the difference between regular Salomon and S Lab Salomon. also considering alternatives for the phrase, lace garage.
I don't think there's a race out there that gives out as much stuff to its racers as Houston. In this episode, we'll go over everything I brought back home from the race, in addition to a couple extra things I picked up from the kofuzi run club in Houston and from the expo.
Got a package from New Balance. I think it's what I think it is.
Also, if you'll be in Houston this weekend, there will be a shakeout at 10am at 105 Sabine along the river. I'd love to run with you there!
https://www.strava.com/clubs/683450/group_events/1553753
I'll name a running influencer, you guess what Strava gives as their Best Estimate for the 400m. Watch out, sometimes the estimates can be way off if the runner has ever had a day of wonky GPS.
Also, I unbox some new shoes from Brooks!
Last unboxing of 2023. Thanks everyone for such a fun year of livestreams! See you in 2024!
who doesn't want more running socks for Christmas? Also, fartbutss has entered the chat.
We did our inaugural Kofuzi Run Club on the KRC discord. I'll unbox what I got on the stream today.
I try not to pick up anything extra when I'm at a convention. But sometimes, you can't help it. In this episode, we'll go over the things I couldn't help but bring home from The Running Event
unboxing a subscription box full of runner treats. some treats were more palatable than others
Earlier in the week, I let you pick between two mystery boxes. This is the other box.
Also, we continue the Hello Good Dog segment with dogs from the podcasts listeners, and we also said hi to a Bearded Dragon!
Got a new camera. The chat got feisty about it
We continued the Hello Good Dog segment.
The next Hello Good Dog segment will be for the dogs of podcast listeners. If you want me to say hi to your dog, message me on IG or I guess on strava.
today, I let the chat decide which of two boxes to open. also, we did Hello Good Dog, and I found out live whether I made it in to Berlin
Unboxing a winter package from PYNRS. Talked about how I want to get a weighted blanket sponsor. Debated whether to do CIM again (or maybe Dallas or Valencia). And we started a brand new segment. (your dog is going to love it).
This was the first episode back after Thanksgiving, TRE, and CIM. We had much to discuss!
Also, some winter treats from Ciele.
We did a colorblind test which obviously will be difficult to translate to audio. but at least it's a quick test.
This is the last livestream for this week and next week.
Happy thanksgiving!
Hope I can see some of you in Austin for TRE!
Looking forward to cheering you on in Sacramento for CIM!
Each year at TRE, I try to wear a shoe to the event that isn't represented at the show. Like, I don't want to show up at the Hoka booth in a pair of ASICS. This year, I found something that I think fits that requirement and could be a lot of fun.
I've been a bit slow to get the singlets shipped out, but they will hopefully all be sent out in the next 48 hours. Also, I tasted another shoe.
got a package from Rabbit. Also, we discuss whether this livestream needs to go Multicam. (It doesn't.)
I got some socks. And we actually talked for a while about Nike shoes, past and present
Asking a bunch of silly questions about my NY Marathon weekend as pretext to share some stories and also give away the last of the remaining Kofuzi Run Club Pizza T's.
Sub Elite and unsponsored Adam Wood is living the dream, chasing after his first OTQ. He's a BYU alum and comes from a new line of dominant north american distance runners. After a 2:18:37 debut marathon last year, he's struggled to find those next 37 seconds, most recently at the McKirdy Micro Marathon. In this interview, Adam talks about his running history, his marathon progression, his shoe rotation, and his goals for CIM 2023 on the last day of the American OTQ window.

Unboxing a package from Camelbak that arrived just in time for my trip to NY tomorrow. Plus, we unbox another mystery package that is definitely ombre.

should I go to Dallas 2024? Also, I'm going to be in a fashion show. What's the nutrition plan?

unboxed a new Garmin. It's blue (or maybe teal).
ordered a second round of Kofuzi Run Club Singlets.
complained about how rough law school students are on their laptops
I started off the livestream all grumpy because I'm not good at shipping things, but everyone had me in giggles by the end. It's the hour of happiness that I needed. I hope you enjoy this one, too.
Still trying to get set up to sell Kofuzi Run Club singlets. Stay tuned for the drop link.
Also, we go over some of our favorite micro aggressions
Yesterday I unboxed the featherweight Adios Pro Evo 1. Today, I unbox something just as light.
Adidas sent me a package. It's very very light weight.
Also, just got back from a wonderful running trip in Italy.
And it's Chicago Marathon week!

Also, if you're going to be in town on Friday before the Chicago Marathon, join me, Rabbit, and Fleet Feet for a shakeout run (optional) and meet and greet. Proceeds go to the Greater Chicago Food Depository, and you can get a Non Elite Kofuzi Koozie (while supplies last)

I had a chance to sit down with Fred Kerley after winning gold in the 4x100m relay at the World Championships in Budapest 2023. We talked about his mindset after not making 100m individual finals, his spikes, his speed suit, and his goals for Paris 2024
Lindsay Flanagan just placed 9th at the World Championships Marathon! I had a chance to talk with her just a few hours post race for her instant thoughts.
Lindsay Flanagan is a pro marathoner for ASICS.
This week's guest is Tina Muir, co-author of the book, Becoming a Sustainable Runner. Tina and I first met at TRE last year, and we've become friends ever since. It's the first episode back after a week off from family vacation! (and also after a week off grid in the mountains in Colorado).
We did 2.5 unboxings, answered from running shoe questions, and then discussed the noon start time of the Olympic Trials Marathon
I just came back from three days in Baltimore for the Believe in the Run summer party and then 5 days in Colorado, running in the mountains. There's so much to discuss and so many packages to open.
Also, I'll be gone next week for family vacation, so there won't be any livestreams next week, which got me thinking... I have a lot of travel coming up through the rest of the year. Should we start having guest hosts to take over the show while I'm gone? If so, who should it be?
We're just hours from the Fuel for the Sole Summer Hydration Tour / Summer Grit party, but Meaghan made time for us to sit down and chat in the Believe in the Run podcast studio. This is a really fun one. Hope you enjoy!

Because it was Friday, we had a recovery beverage happy hour with an unboxing of a very large delivery from Salomon

Also, I got a delivery that I'd like to start using, so I also did an unboxing today.

Unboxed a package from Adidas. These were items I purchased myself. I think I did a pretty good job with my selections this time.
I bought some clothes from Saucony. I think I need to stop ordering stuff off the internet after I've been having summer beers
I had a chance to speak with Dakotah Lindwurm after her 2nd place finish at Grandma's Marathon 2023. I had the chance to interview Emma Bates in Boulder at an ASICS event. We talked about toxic mold, why her World Championship Marathon PB performance was a disappointment for her, and what she needs to do to get to a 2:18 marathon goal time (which would be an American record).
This episode was pre-recorded and not-live on June 6, 2023, but it was a such a good conversation, I thought I'd put it up here on the Kofuzi Run Club podcast. I don't normally do a lot of athlete interviews. I'm in Boulder this week, and I've found a couple of ASICS pro athletes to join in a round of Name that Shoe. I showed them some closeups of shoes, and they had to guess what they were. There were no points and no prizes, but I think we had a lot of fun. Tommie Runz also makes a guest appearance in this episode.
got two packages in today, and Im really excited about them. If they are what I think they are, they will be perfect for this summer weekend
This week, I'm bringing on my friend, Ashley Mateo. Ashley is a journalist, writer, and editor. If you've ever read running content in a magazine, you're probably already familiar with her work. She's also someone who has been on some of the same adventures I've been on over the past couple of years, so I'm glad to spend some time with her again on this livestream.

We played a game where I show you a picture of a pro runner when they're wearing non-running clothes. TBH, this one is going to be real tough to listen to, as I'm terrible at describing how people look, and also, the way that I'm colorblind, Im particularly bad at describing hair color. But, we do have a nice discussion after the game about what to do with future games and future potential guests.
This week's guest is Matt Choi. I first interviewed Matt about 7 or 8 months ago, but we lost that interview to technical difficulties. Here we recover some of that ground but then also venture into some bold new territory. The was one of my favorite conversations I've had on the livestream.

I show you a close up photo of a shoe. You tell me what it is. This week, we're looking at carbon plated shoes
Got a little something from Rabbit. Usually, I kinda know what's coming. But this, I have no idea.
This week's guest is Jaeki Cho, who is a man of many titles, one of which is Brand Ambassador for On Running. We talk about life as a full-time content creator, disappointing our Korean parents, and Ali Feller and the t shirt cannon incident.

I took close up photos of shoes. You have to guess what they are. This one is going to be a bit difficult to play as an audio version, but hopefully it's fun to listen to the guesses.
trying out a new hydration powder. I can't read what some of the flavors are because I'm color blind
for this week's happy hour, I'm bringing in Greg Itahara of Itahara_Art. Not only is he a customizer for pro and other famous athletes, he's also my go-to designer and customizer. And, as a bonus, since he happens to live kind close by, he came over to my house for an in-person happy hour!
Greg Itahara https://www.instagram.com/itahara_art
Got a package from ASICS. Apparently, now they're only sending me shoes after an embargo lifts. That's probably the right move.
This week, the happy hour guest is Andy, the Forest of Dean Runner. Andy and I have been following each other for years, and we've collaborated a few times. It's long overdue to get him on the livestream. We got nerdy about training techniques, running culture, and running YouTube
YouTube https://www.youtube.com/c/thefodrunner
instagram https://www.instagram.com/fodrunner
My PO Box guy dug up an old package that didn't have a name and had an incorrect PO Box on the address. He figured out it was mine. And today, we open it.
Opened a package of goodies I purchased from PNYRS. And we talk about the protocol for wearing a shirt for a race you didn't run.

Trying the last of the Japanese gels that I bought at the Tokyo Marathon expo. these are from the brand, Challenger, and even though the labels do have a lot of English on them, I have no idea what flavor half of them are supposed to be
What shoe to get next if you already have a Novablast 3 and a More v4? Also, do they do shamrock shakes in Ireland on St. Patrick's Day?
this week's guest is Suzie @irunThings . We've been following each other on YouTube for years, and I'm glad to we had a chance to chat before she runs NYRR Half Marathon this weekend.

I went to Japan and all I got was a marathon PB and a lifetime of memories.
Also, I'm still a bit jet lagged, so there was an issue with the audio in the beginning.
we actually talked a lot about running shoes today and also the potential for Non Elite underwear
Just got back in from a run and unboxed a package from Alter Ego running.
This will be the last livestream for a while, as I'll be traveling all of next week.

the embargo from the Endorphin Elite finally lifted today. there was a lot of talk about. also, I apparently bleed a lot from shoes. I thought that was normal.
I'm trying something new. Instead of getting boozy for happy hour livestreams, I thought it might be more fun to try to regularly bring in a friend. This week, we've got Robbe Reddinger from Believe in the Run.
unboxing some runner nutrition. and we also discussed, where are all the running YouTube mega channels?
in this last livestream of 2022, we talk about cold weather running and why Orlando got the American Olympic Trials Marathon
in this running club livestream, I follow up on a previous livestream where I wondered if there is a such thing as vegan spam.
Saucony and New Balance are going to have some of the more confusing shoe naming conventions in 2023
talking about the Takumi Sen 9, which I've got now in hand. but it's not really breaking any embargo since I bought this on Adidas.com I continue to have no idea what Adidas is doing.
trying out some new sports drink. this will be the last livestream for a while due to TRE and CIM
Unboxing a season's worth of packages. TBH, this is pretty visuals heavy episode. May not translate that well for the audio only version. I won't be mad if you skip.
trivia questions testing your running current events knowledge with a NYC marathon and CIM marathon theme
I've got a bag of assorted Gu flavors. I'll select them at random and give them a taste test.
I show you (on the livestream) an outsole. You guess what shoe it is. It's harder than it seems.
because this game is so visual, this might be a good one to check out on YouTube.
from the people that brought you maple syrup in a pouch: waffles in a pouch. maple flavored.
Test your shoe knowledge!
I'll read you a product description from a 2022 running shoe. You name that shoe.
I bought a kettle bell. It was a first time I've touched a weight in about a decade.
Also, Matt LeGrand claims that DC Rainmaker went on a run with Casey Neistat, but apparently neither of them had a GoPro and it's not on Strava. I call BS
Chicago was so last week. I'm on to CIM in 7.5 weeks, with a brief stop in NYC on the way
this is one of the few "runner's food" that I would actually put in a pack and eat on the run. some of the flavors, anyway
Monday September 26, 2022
I don't want people to literally die while reviewing the Apple Watch Ultra. I just want them to almost die. There's a big difference there.
I'll describe a runner's mustache to you. You guess who the athlete is. In all fairness, this game really did work out a little better in the video version.
Today, we celebrate a weekend of PBs from across the Kofuzi Run Club as we try a new kind of stroopwafel.
I bring on Matt Chittim to the livestream so we can talk a bit more about Relay, a Patreon venture that he, I, and several other running creators have started. But we also chat about lots of other random stuff. I tried to avoid making it a complete commercial for Relay.
A lot of news today: Diamond League finals, new Apple Watches, Relay launches on Patreon, and I got some new shoes to unbox
I was really hungry so we ended up talking about fruit the whole time. There is some actual shoe talk towards the end
I'll give you a shoe and an item that people might carry while running. You guess which weighs more.
remember CompUSA?
also, first run in the Endorphin Pro 3, whether I'll test the Altra Outroad, and the stubborn long lasting battery of the Coros Vertix 2
I'll show you a screenshot of a meal that a running YouTube has included in a recent video. You tell me Who Ate This?
an update on the dog bite, a review of my favorite world championships pins, and even a bit of shoe talk
Summer ain't over yet. I still have two more trips on the books before the kids head back to school (plus a trip to grandma's house). I'm not sure if the schedule will allow for a group run, but I will update as soon as I know.
First livestream back from Eugene. We talk about the mascot costume theft story, and about getting on to TV while filming the men's marathon. Also, it's a Monday, so I'm trying a new donut shop near my mother in law's house, Donut Boy.
going over my Eugene schedule for Worlds and also my fall marathon schedule (3 marathons in 3 months!)
I just got back from a whirlwind trip to Denver/Boulder, Mammoth Lakes, and San Francisco. We've got a lot to talk about.
had my first run after the marathon today. ran in the Mach 5 for the first time and felt pretty good.
just as a heads up, this will be the last livestream in a while. I've got some family summer stuff and then a lot of travel with ASICS. I'll be posting my schedule and Kofuzi run club meetups on YouTube, instagram, twitter, and strava. hope we can meet in person soon!
Just got back from Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, MN. It's time to ring that cowbell and have some PR cake
finally have some details about the Denver trip. also, we actually talked a lot about running and running shoes this time.
Quest Cookie and a SaltStick drink mix that I had left over from my travels over the weekend
didn't have time to get a mukbang ready, but there's so much to talk about after the trip to NY/NJ
I'll show you an elevation profile from a trail race. You have to guess the race. Even though you won't be able to see the profiles in the podcast version of this game, I think many of you will still be able to guess based on the distance of the race and my description of the profile.
Good luck!
trying out the Trader Joe's Kung Pao Cauliflower, but mixing it up with some different sauces.
It's hot all of a sudden, so my body has been all out of whack and wanting endless amounts of sugars and salts after my runs.
Also today, we talk about people I should try and interview. We also discuss what name I should give to my future porta potty rental business.
I'll name a race and show you the elevation profile. You have to guess how much total elevation gain there is.
The YouTube channel hit 100,000 subscribers overnight. And while I'll have a much bigger proper event planned, I did want to celebrate in the moment with a small pizza party on the livestream.
Thanks to everyone who has made this all possible.
Over our favorite recovery beverages, today we talked about the Shortest Ultra Marathon and the upcoming RBC Half Marathon
It was a whirlwind trip to Malaga Spain for the ASICS Meta Time Trials. So much adventure!
As someone who ate powerbars in high school in the 90s, I'm really rooting for PowerBar to make a comeback. Today, I'm trying out their recovery drink, a 20g whey protein chocolate shake with 57g carbs.
Trying out some new flavors of bars from a family favorite nut free brand. Also, the Boston Marathon was today!
I won't be going to Boston this year (fingers crossed for 2023), but that won't stop me from getting excited. And since this is the 50th anniversary of the first time Boston officially allowed women to have bibs, this Trivia Tuesday Boston Edition is dedicated to women.
Trying out a new protein shake. Also, in this episode, we discuss what would be the ideal non-running sponsors for the channel.
You would think that a runner would be able to find a lot of things they might need at a GNC, but you would be wrong. Today's trivia is based on things that I actually found upon even just a cursory inspection of the GNC website.
My apologies to people who love GNC. I'm sure there's a lot of normal stuff there, but this trivia is not about the normal stuff.
Convenience foods can be great, especially when they're vegan. Today, I'll try something that I've seen at the grocery store for a while and finally decided to try today - Wicked Foods. We'll also talk a bit about the Cherry Blossom Ten Mile and other races from over the weekend
Opened up a package that I ordered from The Feed and then went on a very long tangent about travel by rail.
Trying out some new bubble waters today, Bai Bubbles. Some of the flavors are very good.
I'm running the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile this weekend, so let's dive into some race history with this week's trivia.
Don't forget, this Saturday at 9am, the Kofuzi Run Club will be meeting at the WWII Memorial for a few miles around the mall to preview the cherry blossoms! See the Kofuzi Run Club group on Strava for details.
When I was in LA, DadRunnerAl gave me a couple of gels to try that I had never heard of before. Today, I'll give them a taste test on the livestream.
Hoka 1 1 strikes again. Also, details have been finalized for the Kofuzi Run Club DC! Let's meet at the World War II Memorial at 9m on Saturday April 2. We'll run around the tidal basin and mall to see the cherry blossoms. The route should be about 2.7 miles and I think the expo for the Cherry Blossom 10 Mile is pretty close by.
I keep seeing this stuff everywhere, but is Body Armor any good? I bought 9 different flavors and will sample them today.
Talking about some upcoming races. Cherry Blossom 10 Miler in DC and Grandma's Marathon in Duluth. Also, I'm not going to be going to Boston to spectate anymore, unfortunately.
My daughters made me a cake to congratulate me on a PR at the LA Marathon! I eat a big slice and give some more insight into the LA Marathon and how it's now changed my perspective on "challenging" courses
While I was in Santa Monica for the Kofuzi Run Club LA shakeout, Luis gave me a care package of Mexican treats! I have very little idea of what these are, but I can't wait to try them!
Goodr sent me a bunch of glasses. I'll give you a list of the crazy names, you have to guess which name goes with which pair. I tried to describe the lenses the best I could, but this may be a good one to catch the replay on YouTube.
Taking questions on the Adios Pro 2 (the 100 mile video went up today on YouTube). Also, I wonder if Kipchoge would come to the Kofuzi Run Club shakeout if Kipchoge ran Chicago again
Especially when I'm marathon training, I've been enjoying the new generation of NA beers. Today, I'm testing out four NA brews from Brewdog from Columbus, OH
It's Tuesday - time for trivia. But it's also Fat Tuesday, so it's time for a mukbang. I went to Stan's Donuts and pickled up four paczki. Chocolate Pastry Cream, Pastry Cream, Cherry, and Canoli flavors.
I believe I've tried all the Unived gels before, but they've previously told me that they're constantly tinkering with their formulas. So while some flavors have remained great, others have gotten much better (and also, some are still not my favorite)
Trying out some vegan instant food from Heel. Just add boiling water, let it steep (like cup o noodles), and eat!
Unived Elite drink mix now comes in tubs (previously available in single serve packets). Today, I'll be testing out the Bare Naked flavor (non-flavor?) and the Lime Buzz (with caffeine). In addition to calories and carbs, each of these has 1000mg of sodium per serving!
In the last few months, Rory Linkletter has run PBs in the marathon, the half marathon (setting a Canadian record), and the 3k. And he’s just getting started. Not only is Rory a great runner, but he’s also heavily engaged in the running community with his socials, his Strava, and a running podcast. Today, we’ll talk about his recent races, being an unsponsored pro who is also a shoe nerd, and what the future holds.

Powerbar still exists. Today, I try two new flavors of bars (I couldn't find the original) and two flavors of gel. It was a wild ride.
I'm too much of an old man to bother going to the meet tonight, but I think Cole Hocker is going to beat Cooper Teare. I have not idea whether either of them will break the record.
Also, I have no idea when it comes to geography, and it may or may not have anything to do with going to New Jersey public school in the 90s.
Taste testing Nuun pre workout drink, Prime. Not a lot of sugar, but a bunch of salt and caffeine.
Now that I won't be going to Tokyo, I'm shifting gears to run the LA Marathon. Today's trivia is dedicated to that switch.
My friend Taren Gesell sent me a care package of Athletic Greens. I've never tried it before and don't really know what to expect.
we spent a lot of time talking about food that you dunk. I didn't realize it until today, but apparently, I'm against all dunking.
Testing out a MCT rich coffee creamer that is actually pretty nice. I like it.
Today, I got asked about my vertigo, which was a long story. And then we complained about shoe names.
I'll give you some running acronyms. You tell me what they mean.
Also, does Pandora still exist?
Trying a vegan protein powder with chocolate, cinnamon, turmeric, and chili. Whoa, there was a lot of chili.
Why are short weeks always the longest? I don't know, but we made it to Friday. And this week, that is an accomplishment, in and of itself.
Sydney Gidabuday dominated the DII running scene, winning 7 national championships and running the school record for the 5k at powerhouse Adams St. Now, he's back running under a Vigil system with Roots Running and looking to build upon the success of last year's 3rd place finish at the USATF 5k National Championships (13:53). He recently hit a PR of 61:09 at the Houston Half Marathon, and I was lucky enough to sit down with Syd to discuss this race and what he's hoping for in 2022.

Does anyone want me to pace them in an ultra? I don't like running at night and I get terribly lost on just about any trail.
Today's recovery beverage - Gatorade Endurance.
Kiera D'Amato just broke a 15 year old American marathon record. Shouldn't there be more fanfare? Or is the appropriate level of fanfare?
Sometimes, runners buy cars. And car makers have taken notice. Today's trivia starts out as surprising car tie-ins to professional runners but then devolves into pure trivia about runners and the way cars shape their lives.
Eventually, we discuss whether sports betting would be a good idea for track and field. But first, a quick moment of nostalgia for the glory of ABC's Friday night line up of TGIF shows.
Sitting back with a Vega Protein Shake. Prebiotic Choco Cinnamon Banana flavor. Also discussing the recently announced Men's Boston Marathon field. It's so deep.
Boston elite women announcements and which brand would I be sponsored by, if I could be sponsored by any.

It was cold enough in Chicago that the local news sent out a reporter to interview anyone foolish enough to try and run in this weather. I was that fool.

Kicking back for the last livestream before Christmas with a nice recovery beverage and talking about beer, tamales, and running.
I'll give you a food, and you tell me which elite runner likes to eat that food as a pre race food or as a recovery food.
eating a variety of the Christmas cookies at Grandma's house while discussing Molly Seidel's new YouTube channel and the changes at NAZ Elite
It's the last day (for many of us) before the Holiday! I'm rushing to make it across that finish line
my wife got a box of biscotti from work as a holiday gift. she had a couple and then gave the rest to me to eat for the livestream. today, I talked about getting a haircut, getting a bib for the Tokyo Marathon, and how I'm way off on what I should be eating after a workout.
I got a haircut. Plus, everyone checks in on whether they got in to the Chicago lottery
Tommie_Runz of The Run Eat Sleep Show and Chip Time Running joins the run club to discuss his thoughts on The Running Event in Austin.
trying some vegan pastries for the Monday Mukbang.
This will be the last livestream for the week. Tuesday, I'll be traveling to Austin. Wednesday, I'll be at The Running Event all day. Thursday, I'll be with Believe in the Run and Puma for a morning shakeout run at 8am and a podcast (I won't be speaking) at 12:30pm. Friday, I'll be speaking on a panel with Matt Chittim at CIM Expo in Sacramento. Saturday, I'll be doing a shakeout run at 8am in front of the capitol building in Sacramento. Sunday, we race!
Hope I can see you IRL in either Austin or Sacramento this week!
I'll show you a product listing from Decathlon with some names and key photos redacted. You guess what the product is. None of them are for running.
recapping the NYC Marathon weekend. it's hard to imagine that all this happened in one weekend.
We're bringing back Dr. Josh on the livestream to follow up on his performance at Chicago and to discuss what he's got on the calendar next! Also, to keep it spicy, I'll be trying out HotShots, a literally spicy product intended to reduce the likelihood of cramping during a workout or race.
Go and subscribe to Dr. Josh on youtube. He's ever so close to 10k subscribers!

The topic for today is Iowa Running history, as I am currently spending time in Eastern Iowa. But this was a topic I chose before I checking to see whether I could fill out an entire Trivia Tuesday episode. I had to really dig deep for this one. Thank you for humoring me.
But I don't think it's so much that there isn't Iowa Running history, I think that perhaps my attempt were thwarted by the fact that any google search involving Iowa and running tends to bring up political campaign news.
In either event, thanks everyone for tuning in today, even Mario. I love you my brother.
