Grace Covenant Church exists to love God and worship Him as we impact our area by reaching and discipling people for Jesus Christ.

On Reformation Sunday, Pastor David's message illuminates Sola Fide: "Justification by Faith Alone and the Idol of Acceptance"
As "a people for his own possession," Pastor David encourages us as Peter did to the sojourners and exiles of the 1st century church. We are to "proclaim the excellencies" of Christ in lives led and words spoken in our everyday vocations. We are to point to the "marvelous light" in a dark world.
In the counterfeit kingdom, citizens are encouraged to self-identify according to race, gender, or caste. Pastor David encourages us to identify as Peter taught his flock: as "a royal priesthood...a chosen people...a holy race." As citizens of the genuine Kingdom, we serve as humble ambassadors of and messengers to "the "marvelous light" of Christ to those groping in the darkness of the present chaos.
Rev. Mic Knox, associate pastor of Midway Presbyterian Church, teaches on the radical principles of biblical submission and its importance to further the gospel, especially during times of persecution and suffering.
Dr. Guy Richard encourages us that it is not the size or maturity of our faith which matters, but rather the object of our faith which is sufficient for salvation.
In his first epistle to the saints scattered in Asia Minor, Peter teaches those believers their purpose and position as integral parts of a living Temple, ingrained with Jesus Christ as its "chosen and precious" cornerstone.
Pastor David, teaching from the dense theological truths of 1 Peter, emphasizes and continues to reveal our identity in Christ. Redeemed and repentant sinners, we are exalted by God through Jesus Christ to a glory unimaginable with a duty as Church to be a beacon of light and life to our community.
Pastor David's expository treatment of Peter's first letter teaches us that while the canon of Scripture is complete, the study of God's word continues to speak fresh today to edify, grow, and mature the followers of Jesus Christ.
Rev. Mike DeLozier continues his series of sermons on the lessons of Joseph and his eleven brothers. Jacob pronounces prophecy from God illustrating that the Lord values the intentions of the heart more than earthly position and prominence.
Continuing the theme of last week's sermon, Pastor David teaches that God redeeming a people for himself through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ is evidenced by a people effused with a sincere brotherly love borne earnestly from a pure heart.
In today's sermon, Pastor David emphasizes that the born-again do not strive for holiness through sheer self-effort and determination. Instead, the apostle Peter teaches that sincere brotherly love, a self-sacrificing love that places the needs of others over the needs of ourselves, is a result of the gift of the redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit in our continuing sanctification.
Redemptive history revealed in Scripture emphasizes that God's people sojourn in foreign lands and are commanded to worship the One True God and not be swayed in that devotion through idolatry. Pastor David warns that idols are present and flourishing in today’s culture of death and exhorts his flock to count the cost of our redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ.
What is a gospel response to the unrest of society? Through his interaction with a leper in Mark's gospel account, Jesus Christ reveals his empathy and compassion for those alienated from society and powerless to be restored because of one attribute of being created in the image of God: the condition of his skin. As participants in the gospel, we are called and empowered to reveal Christ's compassion and empathy in the desolate places of today's societal wilderness by identifying with the alienated and powerless emotionally, physically, and socially.
Continuing to teach from 1 Peter, Pastor David reminds us that our identify is a redeemed people sojourning in a land that is not our home. As citizens of a heavenly realm, we rely on the Holy Spirit to conform our thoughts, words, and deeds to those of Christ as we make our exodus to our heavenly reality.
Pastor David exhorts us to lean on the Word of God through the inspired writings of Peter to the scattered church in Asia Minor: the children of God are accounted as holy citizens of heaven through the redemption of Christ by His atoning sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection. Because of our assured position in the family of God, we are encouraged to holiness in all our conduct as we witness in thought, word, and deed to our families, communities, and the broader world through social media.
On Mother’s Day, Pastor David inaugurates our first measured steps of a return to campus worship. In today’s message, he reinforces Isaiah 49 which testifies to the love, nurturing, and sacrifice of Christ to all who are called to faith in Him.
Continuing teaching from 1 Peter, Pastor David exhorts us to rely on the hope of the grace promised to Christians through the revelation of Jesus Christ. We are encouraged to be conformed to that holy hope, and not the promises and passions of a fallen world.
Using the scriptures from James and 1st Peter, Pastor David encourages his flock to be mindful of the dangers of the tongue. In this era, "speech" Tweeted from Dallas, GA has potential to ignite a firestorm of controversy and division across the world in micro-seconds! Especially with conflicting stories and unverified "evidence" being shouted from a multitude of channels around COVID-19, we are exhorted to always be ready to give a explanation for the foundational truth of our hope: that Jesus Christ redeems sinners through his atonement on the cross and resurrection from the grave, and prepares a place for us in glory. Any speech that we offer on topics that we do not know to be true puts our witness to a fallen world in jeopardy.
The Apostle Peter encouraged the church-scattered throughout Asia Minor to be a living witness of humility and gospel truth to the non-believing neighbors, officials, and rulers around them. In those times of great chaos and Christian persecution, he encouraged them to live as a people who are free. Not in a freedom governed and granted by men, but in the freedom from the curse of sin and death obtained for us by Jesus Christ. Likewise, Pastor David encourages us to live in humility and objective truth during these chaotic and alien times and to bear witness in thought, word, deed, and social media, only what we know to be objective truth.
As Grace Covenant gathers in cyber-space to worship on Easter Sunday 2020, Pastor David exhorts us to remember the gospel: Jesus Christ is alive today in order to provide to us a living hope through His resurrection! This hope is grounded in two promises: that the redeemed of Christ will enjoy an inheritance that is preserved for us in the heavenly places, and that nothing less than the power of God Himself guards and ensures that the redeemed will receive their inheritance at the last times.
Pastor David continues his ministry and shepherding as the shelter-in-place restrictions continue. In this weeks live stream service, he teaches the importance of "waiting well". Joshua exhorted the Israelite's to remember the promises, protection, and ever-present God as they faced the unknowns of crossing the swollen Jordan to take possession of the land God had promised.
Grace Covenant Church virtually gathers to experience worship as we continue to seek God's face and comfort in the midst of social distancing. In this Facebook Live service, Pastor Dave exhorts us to remember that Jesus Christ will never leave us or abandon us. The Master of the micro and macro universe assures us of that reality in His Word and through His sacraments.
Led By Footsteps Unseen In times of trial and uncertainty, God's people rightfully experience anxiety and worry, just as the author of Psalm 77 did. Pastor David teaches the author of Psalm 77, inspired by the Holy Spirit, made known the worry, concern, and questions of the Providence of God. But we are encouraged, just as the author, to remember God's mighty works, and recognize His leadership and shepherding of His people, even through tumultuous times.
Pastor David delivers a Facebook Live service of hope and encouragement to the church scattered as Grace Covenant Church complies with CDC and state safety recommendations regarding mass meetings.
As Pastor David begins his exposition of Ephesians, he draws our attention to the opening benediction of the book. There we find that each encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ is bestowed with His grace and His peace.
After Paul exhorts the church and its elders at Ephesus to stand guard and protect itself from false doctrine and false teachers (Acts 20:20-32), Jesus Christ himself writes to the Ephesian church (via the inspiration of the apostle John in Revelation 2) some 40 years later to both commend and to warn. While commending their adherence to true doctrine and teaching, the Lord warns that without love, He will remove the Ephesian church as an instrument of His grace. Pastor David encourages us to remember the primacy of God's commandment to love our neighbor, the necessity to confess and repent of sin which has been committed against our fellow believers, and return to be the witnesses of the love of the gospel.
Pastor David Donovan teaches that the gospel of God's grace through Christ is the sole means whereby the church is built up, protected, and sanctified. Like the church in Ephesus, we are exhorted to be a community that is characterized as a conduit of God's grace to meet both the challenges and the obligations of Christ-centered ministry.
