I am preparing for a new book launch so in this episode I am reminding myself through my personal beliefs, what I am equipped with!
FYI: In numerology, the number 2 is associated with relationships and partnerships. When you're looking for a partner who can assist you attain your goals, you'll come across it.
We have the luxury to speak to many people given the internet, but the challenge that many people hadn't prepared themselves for is how to use these platforms for informed talk rather than fruitless chatter. Let's talk for a short period of time on how to create more impact with our words.
I am learning to deal with my anger when it shows-up instead of burying out of fear that I will offend people or cause unwanted confrontation. I cannot do that anymore. When it bothers you they this is bothering me we have to address it.
Dropping in with a quick episode, the show regular time is and will be 3 PM on Sundays.
I want to chat a bit on mental health of young adults; not from a place of a professional, but I've been there and I am raising one currently. Watching his journey isn't like mine was; it seems there's a bit more pressure, idk, but I am speaking from my experiences through my memoir, As Thyself by Nia.
I don't want anyone to feel attacked, but we have to hear things from an unbiased place to get to the root of issues.
I think we are caught in the chaos of societal sin; the pressure of guilt, resentment, shame and the overall need of feeling wanted has caused us to put way too much pressure on people.
We are defining the word, relationship.
Visiting what societal sin is; and how it can affect how we relate
I will share a short audio excerpt from my Mini-Doc for my book As Thyself by Nia.
This conversation, I think is needs because the issue lies beneath all the rhetoric. We speak loudly about the issues, but quietly about the fact that the issues came to, because we settled.
I talk in my book about women relationships; are we healed enough to really support each other?
Just thinking we may need a lil push to get us back in the swing of things here in the states.
People say God don't bless no mess. That's a lie! God is in the blessing business and we are all a mess.

I see a lot of complaining on social, but let's challenge ourselves in knowing ourselves enough to share us with others.
I see a lot of complaining on social, but let's challenge ourselves in knowing ourselves enough to share us with others.
I began discussing self love topics in 2013; I began by writing book sharing my own self love journey. I did not want to rush people into the process nor have them to think I was trying to capitalize off getting them to do their work. So I have held back on releasing my book and have been sharing advice since, but I have seen many people from everyday folks like myself to celebraties put product on the market with self love as their center focus. Anyway, I am here to talk about it.

“A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways” (Jms. 1:8). A double-mind is “having in the mind opposite or opposing views at different times.” ... To be double-minded is to be inconsistent, vacillating, to be and act one way today and be and act some other way tomorrow.

I will be giving my persepective on current news stories and bringing new developments from the health communty that usually do not get to the people that it impacts using information and data from medical journals. I plan on making it information plain for black people to thrive.
There is a lot of complicated language thrown around in news articles. Even by our own news writers that target black demographics, but this language is not for the public to understand. It is used in science, public health and medicine and overall research. We cannot adapt, we have to create and communicate while understanding and being in the position to get the messaging to or people. We have to be the bridge.
I always vowed to not allow my comfort zones to box my purpose, so I am stretching my abilities in media to bring forth what people deserve. Atleast, I think for now. If it changes just know I am stubborn in my gifted areas.
Referencing Proverbs 15:1 - A soft answer turns away wrath, but harsh word stirs up anger
I spoke briefly last week about the Gayle King debacle and how bad I feel we treat each other and I want to go back to that conversation.
I am back, and I have stuff to talk about. It's been a few years. I have new annual Issue coming out and a relaunch of my memoir. Also, a rant. What the hell is going on with us!!! We'll talk!
When we enter into relationships of any kind we have to evaluate. This would not be a topic if I did not see so many broken relationships amongst my peers. I think we may fall deep for the wrong reasons, then once we're in deep we evaluate to find out that it might not work, then instead of spliting (if there's no marriage or children by this point) we get bitter and angry. This only makes me think that there needs to be more work on the front-end. For example, asking questions that may be uncomfortable, evaluating intentions and motives with the evidence through actions, and having the courage to walk-away if it ain't right or to challenge intentions without the fear of rejection. Anyway, let's talk about it.
We all carry some issues from our past. Take into consideration some of the reality shows that become our guilty pleasures. We see through some of these shows toxic friendships, marriages, parental relationships and kinship. Relationships over-all are at a very critical place. This could be because so many people are harboring hurts that they have never faced or do not see as hurt. We move through life building hurt upon hurt and in doing this what we build-up we ultimately give-out. “Above all else, guard your heart for everything you do flows from it.” {Proverbs 4:23 New International Version}
This topic is structured from Mark 6:14-29, regarding the beheading of John the Baptist by ruler Herod Antipas of Galilee. It comes from the truth that John the Baptist believed that it was unlawful for Antipas to marry his living bother's wife (Herodias) and his own niece. Herodias did not like John the Baptist truth, so through Antipas promise to Herodias' daughter to give her whatever she wanted, in consulted with her mother, she chose to have John the Baptist beheaded for proof that Antipas had killed him and did not just hide him with his head delivered to her on a platter and Antipas had him executed. With that being said, the topic is "The Truth Hurts" addressing when Christians have to stand in the truth and the obstacles they have to overcome in doing so. *This is not a Bible Study...
