This week and a half or so was a whirlwind!! I missed my sons' birth (Asher Lux) while missing a ton of sleep over the last week.  I was able to be with my wife and provide support any way I could, but it was tough seeing her in pain and distress.  But the timing of the Lord is always perfect and I know that He is in control.  Life is such a precious gift that we ignore all the time.  We get so used to daily living that we dont take the time to thank the Lord for breath.  But life isnt just about living the day to day ordeal; its about purpose.  What's your purpose in life?  What is your place?  I talk about these things in this episode as well as some of the end times things that are going on.  Stay Rooted!

In this episode I share how the past week and a half has been so tough.  I was dealing with temptation of lust and impure thoughts.  I had a tough week on the job and with all the travel that it made me get off track with my walk which inevitably caused me to stumble and give in to those temptations.  I didnt want to track this podcast, but knew I had to get back on it and not sulk in my darkness.  I just so happened to read about David and Bathsheba, and how the sinful act of David caused him pain and agony; but the Lord restored David as well.  Love you all and continue praying for me!  Stay Rooted!

This week my spirit was quickened about deception.  There is so much of it going on right now and its time to acknowledge it and stand firm in the faith.  Being able to see it coming from a mile away is a perk in knowing the Lord and sensing what darkness is around you.  Stay rooted!

Had a rough travel day and my patience was tested.  David's patience and faith in God was also tested as he started his takeover of Jerusalem and as King of Israel.

This week was a full blown word of trusting the Lord about everything.  David was constantly pursued by Saul and that most likely caused him to fear a lot as it would any of us.  But David decided to spare Saul of his life a few times in these past few chapters.  How many times have our lives been spared from God because of Jesus?  How am I sparing others for what they've done to me?  Very valid questions and I talk about it on this episode.  Stay rooted!

When you're down and out, or your sin has you in a rut, it's easy to be pinned to the mat.  The guilt and shame take hold of your inner being and make you feel like garbage.  Understanding restoration is not an easy concept in my mind, but it is what the Lord does for each of us if we ask for forgiveness.  Having an accountability partner is essential to being a believer and gaining spiritual growth.  David had one in Jonathan, who was Saul's son.  Jonathan had sided with David even though Saul wanted to kill him.  The two bonded and formed a brotherhood with each other, and it ended up saving David's life.

This week was a challenge at times.  Wasn't the best, but certainly not the worst either.  This past Sunday was Father's Day, and I'm so blessed to not only be a father, but have my daddy who reigns over the earth.  I'm so thankful for all the men in my life who have been a father like figure to me, but I know who my true father is - my God.  Who's your daddy? How are you spending time with him? How well do you know him?  Jonathan knew his dad Saul, but was constantly testing Saul's patience... its a cool story I talk about in this week's episode.

This week was a learning week for my personal growth.  I had to dig up some past stuff and forgive myself, and others involved in some sin. It was difficult, but I needed to break the darkness and those spirits that can try to come back up in my mind.  I leaned how to try and see where God was in those moments, and He showed up, I just didnt know it.  I also discuss my latest readings in 1 Samuel and how I can apply it to my life right now.
