Absalom attempted to overthrow his father, David. We see the results of this effort in this message.

After King Saul's death, David was recognized as King of Judah. The other tribes of Israel followed Ishbosheth, Saul's surviving son. Abner, Saul's General, made this happen. This message is about how the war between Israel and Judah began, was fought, and how it ended.
In part 11 of our study of David, we learn about the death of King Saul and three of his sons. We also see the heroism of the men of Jabesh Gilead. Finally, we see David recognized as king of Judah.
David found himself in many worrisome circumstances when he was pursued by King Saul. Yet, eventually, Saul's days came to an end. In this message, we conclude 1 Samuel with the dramatic end of Saul's reign.

Knowing God's will starts at the Cross of Jesus. Appreciating what He did compels us to change how we view ourselves, each other, and everything else. By making these changes, we will find His will.
In Galatians, Paul lists the fruit of the Spirit. We all, like fruit-bearing plants, need to be planted, watered, and exposed to the light. In this message, we see the conditions necessary in order to produce fruit for God.
Eve, who is the fore mother of all of us, played an important role both positively and negatively in the history of humanity. While Satan targeted Eve for temptation to hurt mankind, God chose a woman, Mary, to bear the greatest Blessing the world has ever seen.
David's scandalous behavior with Bathsheba, and his attempted cover up by getting rid of her husband, Uriah, were devastating. David's sin was not simply a mistake. It was a horrible evil. Yet, even this sin was atoned for through the LORD'S mercy.

In ancient Israel, the prophet Elisha stood out as a man of great faith. In 2 Kings 6, Elisha demonstrated his faith when he was surrounded by an enemy army. This is a lesson for us today.
In Matthew 21, Jesus is confronted by the religious leaders asking from where did His Authority come? Jesus answered with a question and two parables. He finishes by describing Himself as the Foundation Stone rejected by the builders.
