Experience is a valuable teacher. It teaches skills such as how to ride a bike, how to find lost shoes, and how to pay for something at the store. Experience teaches children what it feels like to be left out, to win or lose, or to be put on the spot. Unfortunately, though, if parents aren’t careful, they can rob their children of lessons that could be learned from experience because they believe that loving their kids means keeping them from struggles. Parents who continually rescue their children often short-circuit the learning process by intervening too soon. Sometimes parents can accomplish more by doing less. Sometimes parents believe that once they’ve given consequences to their children, the job is finished. They’ve done their duty and fulfilled their responsibility. Unfortunately, tension often remains. Discipline is not complete until the positive relationship between the parent and child is restored. A Positive Conclusion is simply a discussion you have with your children after they act inappropriately. The discussion is a debriefing time to clarify the problem, talk about a better response, and restore closeness in the relationship with them. During this episode, parenting coaches Dr. Scott Turansky and Elena Zwetsloot are discussing how to make sure that each discipline time ends positively and that cooperation and responsiveness increase over time. Do you want to help your children memorize the scripture but are not sure where to start? Try the colourful set of 20 scripture cards that make bible verses memorization fun!

Our story...One year ago I started to print bible verses for my son and it was then that I realized how much faster was he learning! He was loving the colours, and the images and he was looking forward to the time when we would learn them. Since then, he memorize over 60 bible verses within one year! This inspired me to design, create and produce 6 Scripture Sets of 20 bible verses each. The scripture verses are curated and include verses from almost every book in the Bible. Here they are :

Essential I - these are verses that every child should know! They are short and easy to remember.

Essential II - start memorizing these verses with children aged 3 and older, they will learn fast!

Essential III - these are verses that are focusing on the Word of God and His majesty.

Scripture for the Heart - these verses will help your child focus their heart on the Lord.

Scripture with Jesus - these verses focus on Jesus' life, ministry and miracles!

Scripture for Women - verses that encourage women and help them stay on the path with the Lord.

The design is unique and the cards are printed on quality paper and laminated, so they can last for a very long time – even when used by little wet and dirty hands :)

They come in a colourful cotton handmade pouch, so they don’t get lost.

They are blank on the back so you can make notes.

Sizes differ very slightly: around 9,5 cm x 9,5 cm

Please bear in mind colours on your screen may vary slightly from the colour of your print. Some borders may also vary.

During this episode, parenting coaches Dr. Scott Turansky and Elena Zwetsloot are talking about the importance of coaching, as a skill for parents.
The word “coach” implies two important things when it comes to parenting. First, the relationship is one of partnership instead of being a policeman. And second, practice is an essential ingredient for change, especially in deeply rooted issues.
Here are some things to remember about coaching:

  • Kids can only take as much pressure as the relationship allows, so keep the relationship as close and strong as possible.
  • As you coach your child remember that you are emulating what God does for us. He sends us a coach, the Holy Spirit, to guide, lead, convict, comfort, counsel, and help.
  • A coaching attitude puts you on the same team as the child instead of encouraging an opponent role.
