I'm mostly private but wanted to go partially public, though. Playing all kinds of keyboards as an amateur - from analogue synths to pianos. But I'm spending and enjoying most of my time with arranging and producing songs. Private pieces disposed of in public - but this claim doesn't sound too kind, does it?
Hope emerging? This is actually a live recording without post-production/mastering except for fades in/out.
This is what grocery shopping feels like in times of pandemic. Breathing through face coverings. Avoiding people. Becoming misanthropic.
This song is a birthday present for Andreas, a dear friend of mine.
It represents my idea of classical pink-floydy kitsch, spiced up with quotes and aphorisms of Alan Turing. "On Computable Numbers, with an Application to the Entscheidungsproblem" was a decisive work of Turing from 1937. Obviously the birthday boy is very fond of computer science and Pink Floyd.
The speech samples in this song are made with a machine learning speech synthesis script by Corentin Jemine.

As source input I used my own voice and a radio podcast speaker's voice from Deutschlandfunk.
The guitar picking at the beginning uses so-called "Euclidian Patterns", to have some more "Computable Numbers" woven into the fabric of the song.
One memory of Covid times will be the emerging dust bunnies all over the lockdown place. Sisyphus with vacuum cleaner.
Got an ukulele as present. Can't handle it properly so it became sampled and distorted...
The other day at the bar: Person A mentions a nice video with flying squirrels. Person B declaims the Wikipedia abstract concerning these animals. Person C gets emotional about the imminent extinction of the species and turns said declamation into this track. Has been a nice evening, though.
Actually I tried something completely different but it worked out like this. So it really did go wrong.
I'm hard, actually almost impossible to reach on the phone. This song expresses the lament of all people trying to do so.
Handling my encounter with a business associate who keeps repeating daft attitudes over and over to make them seem right ... now I'm feeling better.
Almost all current gear together. Little Phatty, A-100 modular system, Mintaur Bass, Ensoniq SQ-80, Thor ...
Not without a sine wave. I recently realised that my old Ensoniq SQ-80 synthesizer is still working. And on an aged 3,5" floppy disk in it's box I found this ancient track of mine. I dusted and refurbished the song but the composition is still early 90s.
Strolling around through the historic center of Polignano a mare, Italy, suddenly the funky ringing of the local church hit me.
German "Sprechgesang", surely not fit for poetry slams. For the most part a lament about the largely useless information overload nowadays (I'm getting old).
Then I bought myself this swedish vintage virtual analog synthesizer. Hope this doesn't bring more suffering to the world. You wanna know what zymogens are? http://en.lmgtfy.com/?q=zymogen Just sounded like a good song title.
