Charlie Young is a University of Illinois student, the U of I Director of Analytics, and he will start with the Houston Astros this summer as their Quantitative Developer! Phillip Wellman has just been named the inaugural Amarillo Sod Poodles Professional Baseball Baseball Manager! Tom Talks Baseball had a chance to interview Phillip back in October! It was a lot of fun hearing about his impressive career, his managerial style, thoughts on Amarillo native Brad Wieck, and the event that led to the incident in Chattanooga in 2007.
