Introduction
As we talk about words, we need to understand the importance of not just words, but The Word. Jesus is referred to as the Word many different times throughout scripture. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you are called to proclaim The Word. The most important words that should come from your mouth are words about The Word. Every word that you choose to use or that idly falls from your lips will either help you proclaim The Word or hinder you from proclaiming The Word.
Scripture
1 John 1:1-4
John 1:14
John 20:28-29
John 14:6-7
Psalm 16:11
Revelation 19:13
Sermon Points
We can’t proclaim what we have not heard or seen!
The Word is life!
* Proclamation of The Word is for fellowship!
Closing
Use your mouth. Use words! Stop talking about everything else but God and talk about The Word of God. He is the best thing that can come out of our mouths.

Introduction
Words come out of our mouths almost effortlessly, with the average person speaking thousands of words daily. We often throw them around with little thought of their impact and power. Studies show that words can physically affect the world around us, and Harvard research reveals how profoundly the brain responds to the words we hear and read. What words are you communicating audibly, in writing, or through expressions? Each wields a power that can give life or death, build up or tear down.
Scripture
– James 1:26
– James 3:1-12
– Galatians 5:22-23
– Proverbs 18:20-21
– Ephesians 4:29
Sermon Points
– Controlling the tongue!
– Small part with great power!
– The tongue has one purpose!
Closing
Is your tongue corrupting you or is it glorifying your maker? Only the HS can help you get it right!

Sermon Points
God doesn’t view time the same as we do!
It wasn’t meant for us to know everything!
* The Lord can extend time!
Closing
As we close out today, what kind of bargaining chip do you have for the Lord to extend your time? Since I have been to Graham I have had the privilege of knowing many people live into their 90’s and 100’s. At least 13 people live in their 90’s+. The didn’t drink, smoke, do drugs, didn’t gamble, didn’t overeat, didn’t party, and they were not perfect. Several of them expressed deep regret for sin in their past. But they loved the Lord, committed themselves to Him, and lived Holy Lives? What’s your bargaining chip for the Lord to extend your time?

Introduction
Time is our most valuable resource, gifted and numbered by our Father in heaven. Our greatest temptation is to treat time like it is ours, forgetting we are simply stewards of this gift. Instead of spending it on ourselves, we must answer the question of how to steward this wonderful gift from God the way He has called us to.
Scripture
James 4:13-17
Proverbs 27:1
Matthew 6:34
1 Corinthians 1:27-28
1 Peter 2:15
Proverbs 3:27-28
Matthew 25
Luke 10
* Isaiah 55:6-7
Sermon Points
Tomorrow is unknown!
Lord Willing!
* Remember the sin!
Closing
We are simple stewards of our time! It is not ours and we cannot take it for granted. Tomorrow itself is not promised, nor is the plans that we make for it. Seek the Lord and consider him in all that you do!

Introduction
Last week everyone here valued the unknown time in their life more than $10 million. When push comes to shove it is our most valuable resource. It is a direct gift from God that we will never fully know the length of. We must treat it as precious and valuable because it very much is! Now, the next question is what do you do with it? How do you spend your most valuable resource? You can’t put it in a bank and save it because it is a depleting resource and it will be spent on something. So, what is appropriate, what is right, what is going to be pleasing to God to spend the most valuable gift he has given us on?
Scripture
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Psalm 139:15-17
Proverbs 20:3
James 3:18
Hebrews 12:14
Matthew 5:9
Proverbs 20:4
1 Timothy 4:8
* Ecclesiastes 3:11
Sermon Points
There are seasons to our lives!
We must know what time it is!
* All of these things are spiritual!
Closing
Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.

Introduction:
Time is without question the most valuable resource we have. We wouldn’t trade it for money; in fact, we would spend money to have more of it. Our focus passage for today is a rarity—it is the only psalm accredited to Moses and is said to be one of his prayers that he turned into a song. It just so happens to deal with time.
Scripture:
– Psalm 90:1-12
– Psalm 39:4-7
– Exodus 20:12
– Deuteronomy 5:33
– Proverbs 10:27
– Psalm 34:12-14
– Proverbs 3:1-2
– 1 Kings 3:14
– Proverbs 9:10-11
– Ephesians 5:15-20
Sermon Points:
– Our time is limited!
– God can shorten or extend your time!
– Understanding how short time is gives us wisdom!
Closing:
Understanding how valuable time is will give us a fear, and the fear will lead us into wisdom because the only way we have a chance of extending our time is by serving the Lord and relying on him to do it! Make the most of your life. Don’t waste it. God gave you this life so that you could serve him and do his will!

Introduction
In week five of our series, we shift our focus from Matthew 4 to examine the reality that Jesus’ temptations extended far beyond the wilderness. Because Jesus faced all the same testings we do, He was tempted to abandon God’s will for His life. As we look at His final hours, we see that Jesus was not being tempted by worldly things or pride, but rather faced the ultimate temptation to choose what He wanted over the will of God.
Scripture
Luke 4:13
Hebrews 4:15
Mark 14:32-41
Matthew 16:22-23
Galatians 5:16-17
Matthew 27:39-44
Sermon Points
Jesus did not want to suffer and die!
The Flesh and the Spirit were at war!
* Satan came after His identity to the very end!
Closing
Wherever you are today, maybe you need to spend some time in prayer. The good news is that you do not have to be alone. You have a church family here who will pray with you and who are fighting their own temptations too. Just as Jesus came to the altar in Gethsemane, the altar is open this morning if you need to come and pray.

Introduction
For the past two weeks we have been talking about the temptations that Christ went through, reviewing how He was tempted but did not sin, how He was prepared by being submitted to the Holy Spirit, how the Spirit leads us to hard places, and how Satan can use anything to tempt us. Last week we talked about the physical things that Satan will tempt you with, and today we are talking about the internal things that Satan comes at us with.
Scripture
Matthew 4:1-11
Acts 20:29-30
Galatians 1:10
Deuteronomy 6:14-18
Sermon Points
Satan is no respecter of holy places!
Satan will double down on your identity!
* All of us are tempted to take it for granted!
Closing
We are not to test God by disobeying him and testing his patience or grace with us. That is very unwise as we never know when it will run out. However, we are invited to test him as he promises us good things, such as in giving in Malachi 3:10. God invites us to obey him. He never invites disobedience!

Introduction:
In the first temptation of Christ, we see Satan immediately attack the identity of Jesus. By bringing His identity into question, Satan sets a trap using a physical need—hunger. This sermon explores how the enemy still uses our identity, custom-tailored bait, and ordinary things to tempt us today, and how we must rely on the Word of God to overcome.
Scripture:
Matthew 4:1-11
Ephesians 1:4-5
* 1 John 2:15-17
Sermon Points:
Satan loves to attack our identity!
Satan will use bait just for you!
* Satan will use ordinary things as temptations!
Closing:
Jesus simply responds, “People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” The simplicity and directness of this passage often gives us a total misunderstanding of the event we just read about. We formulate this crazy image of Jesus walking through the wilderness in a graceful stroll, totally unscathed and uninterested.

Introduction Temptation is not a sign of failure; it is a sign that you belong to God. Because Jesus was tempted and remained perfect, the temptations in our lives hold no power or guilt unless we give in to them. Satan only tempts those who do not belong to him, which means facing spiritual battle proves you are God’s. As you fight between the flesh and the Spirit, you have the opportunity to prove your faithfulness to God, and He has the opportunity to prove His provisions to you.
Scripture* Galatians 5:16-17 * Matthew 4:1-11 * Romans 8:28 * Joel 2:12 * Romans 8:1-2
Sermon Points* The Spirit Leads! * The Fasting Prepares! * The enemy lies waiting!
Closing Jesus was prepared. He didn’t go into the wilderness all willy nilly! Even the Son of God didn’t just wing it! We have got to stop trying to just wing our relationship with God. We must be serious!!!

Mother’s Day: Listen
Introduction
As we celebrate Mother’s Day, we recognize this day can be difficult for those who have lost their mothers or did not have a great motherly experience. We are here to celebrate what God intended for a mother to be. If you feel cheated in that area, commit yourself to ensuring your children are not cheated out of that special gift. Today’s message is for the kids—whether you are 5 or 65—focusing on a passage of scripture that, if committed to, would be the greatest possible gift you could give your mother.
Scripture
Ephesians 6:1-3
Psalm 139:13
* Proverbs 1:8-9
Sermon Points
This is God’s command!
Never forget what she has sacrificed!
* Mama wants you to be rewarded!
Closing
The greatest gift you could ever give your mother is peace of mind. Clean it up, cut it out, and do what is right. Obey and honor her because she simply wants what is best for you. She is not nagging you; she gave up her life so you could exist. Give her the gift of not having to worry about you by being right with the Lord, having a good head on your shoulders, and choosing to do the right thing.

Dying to Live: Dying to Self
Introduction
More than sin and more than the world, you will be your own greatest obstacle to growing in your relationship with Christ. The desire to survive and self-preserve is a powerful force, and the thought of dying goes against every instinct within us. Yet, as believers, we are very much called to die.
Scripture
Luke 9:23-26
Luke 14:25-27
John 8:12
Hebrews 2:1
John 3:3
1 Peter 1:23-25
Galatians 6:8-9
John 12:23-27
Sermon Points
Who do I follow?
Will I take up my cross daily?
* What will I benefit!
Closing
The very reason Jesus came was to die. The very reason you were saved is so that you could die to sin, die to the world, and die to yourself. You cannot produce a harvest unless the kernel falls into the soil and dies. Saved people are changed people. Do not lie to yourself. Die to yourself.

Introduction
Last week we began our series on the need to die in order to live, talking about dying to sin. Saved people are changed people. Once you die to sin, the second death we must focus on is dying to the world. The world is not inherently bad, but we must learn how to die to it in order to fully follow Christ.
Scripture
– John 17:13-18
– John 15:18-21
– 1 John 2:15-17
– Romans 12:1-2
– Colossians 3:5-10
Sermon Points
– The world will hate you!
– We do not belong to this world!
– We are to be made holy!
Closing
The reason we need to die to the world is because if we do not, eventually we will begin to worship it. We must commit ourselves to dying over and over again, because the longer we live in this world, the more of the world we will be exposed to and have to die to. We are preparing ourselves to leave this world and to spend eternity with Christ.

SERMON TITLE

1. All Christians have died with Christ!
2. Death to sin is the primary death!
3. Dying to sin makes us the most like Christ!

Sermon Title: Holy Week: The Resurrection
Introduction
Happy Resurrection Sunday! This message concludes our Holy Week series by focusing on the most important event in human history: the resurrection of Jesus Christ. While Jesus fulfilled prophecies and died as a perfect sacrifice, his victory over death is what proves his ultimate authority and offers us the promise of eternal life.
Scripture References
Luke 24:1-12
Matthew 7:7-8
Revelation 3:14
Colossians 2:14-15
* John 16:8-10
Sermon Points
1. If you seek him, you will find him!
2. The living is not among the dead!
3. Everything Jesus said, will come to pass!
4. It sounds like nonsense!
Closing
Jesus has done everything necessary for you to have eternal life by canceling the record of charges against us at the cross. He has already paid the price for your sins. The message of the Gospel may sound like nonsense to the world, but it is the clearest truth to those who believe. The only thing that can separate you from God is the refusal to believe in his Son.

TITLE
Marriage: Purity
INTRODUCTION
In this final message of our Marriage series, we tackle a topic that is often avoided in the church but vital to our spiritual health: sexual purity. From singleness to dating and into the covenant of marriage, God’s Word provides a clear “blanket” of protection over our bodies and our hearts. We explore how to move away from the “lustful passions” of the world and instead embrace intimacy as the holy, God-given gift it was always intended to be.
SCRIPTURE
1 Corinthians 6:12-20
Ephesians 5:3-4
Matthew 5:27-28
Proverbs 5:18-19
1 Corinthians 7:3-5
1 Thessalonians 4:3-5
SERMON POINTS
Talk about it! Don’t let the world be the primary teacher for your children; we must bring God’s truth into the conversation.
Know what the Word says! Scripture calls us to flee from sexual immorality and honor God with our bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit.
Make it a priority! Within the safety of marriage, intimacy is a gift from God that requires intentionality and self-control to protect the relationship from temptation.
CLOSING
God’s will for your life is holiness. While the world tries to define us by our desires, we are called to be controlled by the Holy Spirit. Whether you are seeking to start fresh today or looking to strengthen your marriage covenant, remember that your body belongs to the Lord. Invite Him to lead you in purity and honor.

– Proverbs 31:10-12
– Colossians 3:19

Introduction
Last week we learned that we are vessels meant to be filled by God, the only one who can truly satisfy. Rejecting His filling leaves room for other things. Today, we explore “Unexpected Possessions,” uncovering how evil can hide in unexpected places and people, and the importance of guarding our hearts against it.
Scripture
Sermon Points
Closing
Do not be deceived; the absence of God’s presence grants evil the freedom to reign. True peace and confidence come from fully surrendering to the Lord. Perfect love casts out fear, ensuring we can face Him with confidence.

Sermon Title:
Possession – 1 – Created to be Possessed
We are vessels—fragile clay jars, temples of the Holy Spirit. God designed us to be constantly filled, yet nothing in this world truly satisfies. We eat, drink, learn, seek entertainment, chase purpose, and crave gratification—but the hunger remains. Why? Because we were created to be possessed. That word might sound unsettling because we often associate it with demonic possession, but in reality, God intended for us to be possessed by Him.
Scripture
Ephesians 3:16-19
1 Peter 2:9
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
John 4:10, 13-14
Ephesians 5:15-18 – Be filled with the Spirit
Sermon Points
1. God wants to possess you
2. There is a black hole in us
3. Only God can fill it
4. We will be possessed by something
5. The solution: Be filled with the Spirit
Closing
Possession is real. Satan works subtly, often through anonymity, waiting for an opening. Don’t make yourself available to the enemy. You have nothing to fear when you are possessed by God. But when God is rejected, the void is left for the enemy to fill. Choose to be filled with the Holy Spirit—because you were created to be possessed.

Sermon Title: A Christmas Spirit – 4 – A Spirit of the Wisemen
Intro
This sermon concludes our series on having a Christmas Spirit by looking at the wise men. Just as the iconic “Christmas Song” was written to set a mood, the spirits of Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds set the stage for the first Christmas. Today, we explore how the journey and faith of the magi help us understand what it means to truly believe and prepare for Christ.
Scripture
– Matthew 2:1-12
– Matthew 2:16
– Daniel 1:20
– Daniel 9:20-27
– Hebrews 11:1
Sermon Points
1. The mysteriousness!
2. The wise men aka the 3 kings aka the magi!
3. The source!
4. The gifts!
5. The future!
Closing
The spirit of the magi is a spirit of faith. They believed in the message passed down through generations for over 500 years. True Christmas spirit involves believing in God’s promises enough to build your life around them and preparing the next generation to be ready for Christ’s work in the world.

Introduction
Thankfulness is a tool, an attitude, and an expression. It’s important to remember that thankfulness comes before the fruits of the Spirit. We are called as believers to put forth the effort to be thankful, as it precedes the development of love, joy, peace, and other spiritual fruits.

Sermon Points
Closing
We will never have the capacity to be thankful until we take our eyes off the things of this world and fix our eyes on Jesus Christ, His kingdom, and the things of heaven to come. Thankfulness comes from faith, knowing that everything bad now will pass and the perfection and glory of Christ is coming. Thankfulness comes first, and the fruits of the Spirit will quickly follow!

Thankfulness, as discussed last week, is a powerful tool from God for faith, worship, and giving Him glory, opening spiritual doors to our Heavenly Father. But thankfulness is also a vital attitude—a mental and emotional position, a state of readiness to respond in ways that please Christ and bring glory to His name. When thankfulness becomes an integral part of who you are, it transforms how you serve the Lord.
Scripture References:
Philippians 4:6-7
Philippians 4:11-13

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Sermon Points:
Thankfulness is a form preparation!
Thankfulness is a witness!
* Thankfulness sets you up for success!
Closing:
Thankfulness can be a conscious choice, like picking up a tool, but it also needs to become an attitude—a deliberate posture of readiness to give thanks. Are you willing to embrace this?

Title: Thankfulness is a Tool
Introduction:
Thankfulness is an essential tool for all believers. It’s a sacrifice, a form of praise, and a key to personal growth in Jesus Christ. Just like any tool, the more you use it, the better you get with it. This sermon explores how thankfulness can be one of the greatest tools you have at your disposal and why it must be used regularly.
Scripture References:
Psalm 50:14-15
1 Timothy 4:4-5
Psalm 50:23
Psalm 100:4
Colossians 3:16-17
Colossians 4:2
Sermon Points:
Thankfulness is a form of faith!
Thankfulness enables us to worship!
* Thankfulness removes a burden of responsibility!
Closing:
Perhaps the unfortunate circumstance of your life isn’t as unfortunate as it feels right now. Perhaps the valley you are going through will be the very thing that will catapult you in your walk with Christ! Thankfulness is the very tool you need right now to see you through this very painful thing that you are enduring. Thankfulness is not something that is going to come naturally! This is not a fruit of the Spirit. Thankfulness is a commitment! You have to decide whether or not you are going to pick that tool up and use it or leave it in the toolbox and keep complaining about what you can’t change. Let the Lord remove that burden from your life with a devoted thankfulness to celebrate who God is and all that he has done for you despite what you may be enduring.

Introduction
We have been talking about receiving a new heart. You need the desire to receive it. You must decide to have the transplant. If you do, you will receive a brand new tender and responsive heart. It will not be a weak heart, but a powerful heart with a purpose! Without Christ, our hearts wander from thing to thing. We seek purpose and meaning in many places, but God offers a heart with meaning and purpose through Christ.
Scripture
Hebrews 8:8–12
“The day is coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah… I will put my laws in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people… And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.”

Laying on the altar for God to do heart surgery is scary—but it’s necessary. What He gives is far better than what we could ever hold onto. Trust that the new heart He offers is worth the surrender.

IntroductionGuard the unity of the Body of Christ with your life. Unity is sacred and must be protected from division.
Main ScriptureEphesians 4:1–6 – Unity in the Body
Point 1: We must live worthily! Live a life worthy of your calling. * Unity requires holiness and the presence of the Holy Spirit. * Supporting Scripture: I John 1:7*
Point 2: Brothers and sisters in Christ must be a priority! Be humble, gentle, patient, forgiving, and loving. * Treat fellow believers as family. * Supporting Scripture: I Peter 3:8–9*
Point 3: Make every effort to be united! Unity must be in the Holy Spirit. * Peace is a gift—cherish it. * Supporting Scripture: Psalm 133:1–3*
ClosingUnity is your testimony. Let the Holy Spirit reign in your life.
Supporting Scripture: I Corinthians 1:10
Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us.
In this message, we explore the importance of valuing the differences in others to build a strong, unified church that glorifies God.
Key Scripture Romans 14:19-22 * Romans 15:1-9*
Sermon Outline1. You Must Aim for Harmony! * Just like any skill, creating harmony and unity within the church requires intentionality and focus. If you don’t aim for it, you won’t achieve it. Every action, word, and thought matters in building each other up. 2. If You Tear Others Down, You Tear God’s Work Down! * Everyone is made in the image of God. When we attack fellow believers over differences, we risk tearing apart the very work of God. Instead of tearing them down, we should pray for them, lifting them up so they can serve God faithfully. * Scripture Reference: Mark 9:38-40 3. Our Desire Should Be to Help! * When disagreements arise, our first instinct should be to help, not to correct with a prideful attitude. We are called to come alongside others with humility to build them up in their walk with Christ. * Scripture Reference: Galatians 6:3 4. We Must Accept One Another! * Following Christ’s example, we are called to accept each other, not based on uniformity, but on our shared faith. This acceptance creates an environment where we can live in harmony, join together in one voice, and serve one another effectively. 5. Our Differences Are a Blessing! * God created each of us to be unique. Our different backgrounds, stories, and qualities are not mistakes; they are blessings designed to bring glory and honor to His name. These differences allow us to reach people for Christ in ways no one else can.
Closing ThoughtOur greatest witness to the world is not an absence of differences, but the power of God to unite incredibly different people into one body with one voice to glorify Him.

IntroductionWe are talking about unity! Last week we talked about how important it was to work together. God has designed Christianity to be done with others and never intended it to be done alone. It is meant to be done together as a family, as a church, as a community, and as a nation of people who believe in Jesus!
The absence of disagreements is not a testimony to the world—the testimony is the manner in which we deal with disagreements. Therefore, we need to maturely disagree!
Scripture ReadingRomans 14:1-13 – The Danger of Criticism
Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong…
(Full passage: Romans 14:1-13)
Main Points1. Jesus is enough!* Eternal life comes only through Jesus—not our convictions or deeds. * Convictions, doctrines, and obedience matter, but they do not save us. * Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone.
Supporting Scripture:
2. There are infinite things to disagree on!* From food, to worship days, to doctrines, to personal convictions—even the color of the carpet! * Disagreements are inevitable, but they should not divide us. * Stand firm on the core truths of the Gospel, but show grace in non-essentials.
Supporting Scripture:
3. The way we disagree should be a witness!* The absence of disagreement is not reality; maturity in disagreement is the true testimony. * How we handle conflict impacts those inside and outside the church. * Show kindness, forgiveness, and grace.
Supporting Scripture:
ClosingWe can’t expect each other to be perfect, but we can expect each other to love, support, and be mature in our disagreements. This will be one of the greatest testimonies you ever give!

As we finish up chapter 3 today we see that the religious leaders are making wild accusations about Jesus and putting themselves in a very peculiar position with God. Join us as we talk about one of the greatest concerns for many Christians. (Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit)
Today we are starting chapter 3 and looking at how the religious leaders are still trying to catch Jesus breaking their Jewish Laws. Follow with us to see how Jesus handles these tense and frustrating situations.

IntroductionGod is good and perfect! Yet He loves to do new things—forging new paths, creating new works, and making us new creations for His glory. In this final message of the “New Things” series, we explore the grand finale: God will make all things new.
ScriptureRevelation 21:1–7 – The New Jerusalem
Sermon PointsGod understands how broken things are!
Hebrews 4:15
Jesus understands our weaknesses and lived in this broken world.
God is faithful!
John 14:2–3
Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us.
We must all be made new to experience this new creation!
2 Corinthians 4:16–18
Our spirits are being renewed daily for eternal glory.
Closing ScriptureIsaiah 65:17–19
God is creating new heavens and a new earth, and the old will be forgotten.
Final ThoughtIt takes faith to believe in what we cannot yet see. God is faithful to do all He has promised.
The question is—do you believe?

Today we are starting chapter 2 and looking at two wonderful passages of the love of Jesus and his willingness to heal and call all of us who are broken and sinful.
This week's "New Things" series emphasizes God's intended transformation in believers, highlighting that becoming a new creation is about glorifying Him, not earning salvation. Through surrender, individuals can experience spiritual renewal and obedience, reflecting on their lives and the truth already present in their hearts.

Restoration – 2 – Faith is a Must
Introduction:
As we continue talking about Restoration this month and we remind ourselves that God’s greatest desire for us is to be restored! He wants you and I to be the men and women of God that he created us to be. He wants us to walk in fellowship with Him! He wants us to be free from the addictions and bondage of sin! He wants us to worship freely! He wants us to be Holy!
Now that may seem very intimidating for some of us, but God doesn’t expect you to do all that on your own. He knows that you can’t. But he has provided a way. And he doesn’t expect you to be free, righteous, and holy at the blink of an eye. He knows that the restoration process takes time! He knows that you and I are a mess. He knows that we need a lot of work, and that work will take place over years and maybe even decades. But he has already paid the price, and he is very willing to do the work if you let him.
But it takes a great deal of faith to open the doors of your heart and mind! Faith is a must! You cannot be restored if you do not believe that the God of the universe is able to restore you and wants to restore you. You must believe! Faith is a must!
Scripture:
– 2 Chronicles 7:11-15 – The Lord’s Response to Solomon
Points:
1. Brokenness exists to show that restoration needs to take place!
– John 3:17
– John 3:3 (Jesus speaking to Nicodemus)
2. If are God’s, then have enough faith cry out!
– James 1:5-8
3. God has already promised to restore!
– 1 Peter 5:10-11
– Zechariah 9:11-12
Ending:
But do you believe? That is the question that only you can answer! Poor Jeremiah had it rough. The prophet spent years delivering the messages of the Lord and to our knowledge he only had one convert during his entire ministry. But he believed with all his heart!
– Jeremiah 17:14-15

Restoration – 1 – Restoration Business
Introduction:
As we go into November and we begin our new series, this month we are talking about Restoration. Now, when I was younger, there were people who restored things, but it was more of a labor of love. Many times, you had more money in the thing that you restored than it was actually worth because Restoring stuff is actually harder than just building something new. But tv and internet has made restoring things much more popular in today’s time.
I want to communicate to you this morning that God is in the Restoration Business. Think about this! In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, he created everything that you and I see today. In the world that we can see, touch, feel, taste, smell, nothing is new. Your soul may have never existed before in this world, but your physical body is even a conglomeration of carbon, cells, genetics, water that has been here from the very beginning.
God created everything exactly like he wanted it and we as people really messed it up when we sinned. And she all share in that because every time we sin, we continue to twist and distort what God created.
But the beautiful thing about God is that he isn’t in the demolition and new construction business. He is in the restoration business. He loves to do what no other being does. And the best part is that he has already footed the bill, for that restoration to take place!
Scripture:
– Romans 8:18-25
Points:
1. All creation needs to be restored!
2. Even Christians still have a little hole?
3. God still has more for you!
Ending:
God has some great things in store for you. The question is whether or not you will allow him to work on you. We don’t like to admit that we need some fixing up, but we all do. When we humble ourselves and cray out to God, that’s when he can begin the work that needs to be done.
– Acts 3:19-21

The Bride – 2 – Hands and Feet
Introduction:
We are in the second week as we talk about how important the Bride of Christ is. In scripture there is no difference between Christians and the church. They were one in the same. We talked about the importance of being a part of the church, a part of the bride and how it is going to be the bride that is joined with Christ in that glorious moment when all will be judged.
The church isn’t perfect and neither are you or I. So we should fit in really well. We can love one another, forgive one another, and move past things in order to see the Kingdom of God built together.
Today we are talking about how the Bride is supposed to be the hands and feet of Christ. The bride is an earthly representative of Jesus presence in this world.
Now, an individual can do an amazing job at this! But if a unified group of people can do this there is power and authority that no one can deny. The church is a conglomerated example of the power of Jesus in this world!
Scripture:
– Colossians 1:17-20
Points:
1. What does it mean to be the hands?
– Matthew 19:13-15
Laying of hands in…
– 1 Timothy 4:14 & 2 Timothy 1:6 brought about spiritual gifts
– Acts 6:6 affirms leaders in the church
– Acts 8:17 & 19:6 brought the Holy Spirit upon people
– Acts 13:3 commissioning for a ministry
– Acts 9:17 & 28:8 healing
– 1 Timothy 5:22 warning not to be in a hurry to lay hands
2. What does it mean to be the feet?
– Romans 10:14-15
Ending:

If you have lost your saltiness, then you will be thrown out and trampled underfoot. As you sit here this morning you need to know that you have the opportunity to be the salt! You have the opportunity to be something valuable that is added to an amazing and perfect sacrifice. Or you lose your saltiness and are cast out. Its your choice, but you got to chose it!

Rebuilding – 4 – Regression
We are in our last week of Nehemiah and we have covered a lot. The pains that come with rebirth, the pains the come with growth, the opportunities the come for spiritual awakening after those moments, and today we are going to deal with something that happens to many, many people after they have incredible encounters with the Lord. But let’s read first and then we will talk.
Scripture:

Ending:
It is not easy to be humble and follow, but if you can’t follow someone that you can see, how can you follow someone that you can’t. If you can’t obey people in authority over you that you can see, touch, and hear, how in the world do you expect to be obedient to a God who many times, limits his tangible exposure in order to foster the faith that he wants you to have in order to truly serve him!

When God sees a people who are willing to move, to work, to suffer, and to endure, he says, “Now that’s a group of people that I can really work with.” And that’s when he shows up to do incredibly powerful spiritual things.
The question is whether or not you will be committed until he is ready to move!

Your decision today will decide whether or not you leave the people who come after you with baggage, or luggage. Your decision to be reborn, will determine whether or not they will be reborn having to fix what you have helped tear down, or if they will get to live in the mighty fortress of God that you have helped to build.

Apologetics 101 – 4 – Existence of Christ
Points:
Ending:
Once again, we find ourselves discussing something that some people genuinely seek answers for, and some have already made up their minds about and there is nothing you can say or do to change them. Only Christ can change their hearts and their minds.
For someone to have the audacity to say that Jesus Christ never existed, is telling themselves a complete and utter lie! Everything that you see, and touch today has been affected by the existence of Christ in some way. The fact that we live in 2024 is a constant reminder of that Jesus Christ existed and changed the entire world that we live in forever!

Apologetics 101 – 3 – Loving God and Punishment
Scripture: John 16:7-11
Points:
1. For God to be good, he must punish evil!
– Ezekiel 18:30-32
2. God is slow to punish!
– Psalm 145:8-9
– 2 Peter 3:9-10
3. God knows exactly what to punish!
Ending:
When you look at John 16:9-10, it plainly says that the sin of the world is that it refuses to believe in Jesus Christ. There will not be a person in hell because of any one particular sin, or multiple sins that they committed. They will be in hell because they refused to believe that Jesus Christ died for their sins. They refused to believe that they could be reborn in the blood Christ and the HS. That is what people will be eternally punished for.
We serve a good God who laid is all out on a silver platter. Punishment will come because righteousness was made readily available, and most people have refused to accept the forgiveness of sin! What’s your choice today? Judgement is coming. A way out has been given. If we are punished, we have no one to blame but ourselves!

As we continue on in this series next week, we will continue to talk about and use the Bible as a source of making a case for God. We can do that because it is written by eye witnesses and because it continues to be proven true historically, metaphysically, and even in astrophysics. And what is just as important and really more important is that you can read the Bible and know it is true. The verse of the day on the Youversion Bible app on Thursday was this:
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
-John 16:13
God wants you to know the truth. He has given us the Bible as inspired by the Holy Spirit to guide you in the truth. Following God is not easy. It won’t make you rich. But it will lead you in the truth. It will guide you in the right ways. God hasn’t left you on your own. He has given you His very word to help direct the steps of your life. The question is if we are going to listen to God and obey.

4. This is where God’s commandments are treasured!
– John 14:15-17

As you receive forgiveness of sin and as Christ washes you clean. You move into a new relationship with the Lord. You tend to the HS, you tend to the word of God, and you worship both in the morning and at night every day! And when you are ushered into the presence of God, obedience is what sets you apart and maintains that amazing relationship in God’s presence.
Rebellion/disobedience/sin is what severs that and removes us from it. Jesus said if we obey the HS will dwell in us. If you are saved, you know him. You can receive him. And God is joyful for you to live in his presence as long as you are being obedient to the things, he has called us to!

Tabernacle Worship – 2 – The Lamp Stand
Last week we began our series on tabernacle worship which will probably sound weird if you missed the first one. If so, go back and catch up. You need that to understand where we are today and how these applications from the OT can help us worship and understand worship better in NT days.
Last week, we talked about the set up of the tabernacle, how special it was, and how you had to purposefully enter with a heart of worship. You couldn’t accidentally stumble in and you shouldn’t go in with a light heart. You had to bring you sacrifice as you entered the gate and Jesus is the gate. The first thing you saw was the brazen altar upon which your sacrifice was given to the Lord. Jesus was also the ultimate sacrifice and granted us forgiveness and access to God. Then the priest would go and wash in the bronze basin (or the laver) in order to prepare them to enter the actual structure.
Once the priest did their duties and moved through the courtyard fulfilling their duties then they entered into the structure of the tent that was called the Holy Place and the Most Holy place. A regular Israelite was never allowed to go in there. Just like in the garden of Eden, The people of Israel were forever cut off from the actual presence of God and they were completely dependent on the priests to do their jobs.
This is why it is so important that Jesus is our high priest, and he grants us access to boldly approach the throne of God! But if we are going to step into the presence of God and boldly approach his throne, it is important to understand what the proper order was intended to be and how God wants us to approach him.
Everything that we read in the NT about accepting Christ as Lord, becoming a Christian, and worshiping God parallels directly with the concepts that God gave for people to worship in the OT.
So, once the priests entered the there were two things that were present that the priests had to attend to regularly. Today we are going to talk about the golden lamp stand (or the Menorah).
Scripture: Exodus 25:31-40
Points:
1. These lamps must be constantly tended to!
– Exodus 24:1-4
– Romans 6:19-20
– 1 Peter 2:5
2. Fire gives light!
– Acts 2:2-4
– John 8:12
Ending:
See Tabernacle Diagram
Jesus did not come to abolish the Law. Jesus came to fulfill the Law. The temple system was never wrong. What God gives is always perfect and good. We might mess it up, but it was perfect from the beginning. If you want the HS in your life, if you want light, if you want direction and life. You must tend to the Spirit of God. You can’t ignore him all week long and just expect him to be there when you come knocking once a week.
You are a priest now. You have a duty to the Lord. You must serve him and tend to him and in that wonderful privilege you will dwell in the presence of God the way he always intended it to be.
Exodus 19:5-6
5 Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me. 6 And you will be my kingdom of priests, my holy nation.’ This is the message you must give to the people of Israel.”
It was always God’s intention for his followers to be priests and to serve him. Will you accept the terms of the covenant or are you just trying to get into heaven by the skin of your teeth. You have got to make a choice. Everything is set up for you to fulfill the call, but it is absolutely your choice.

Today we will cover the first half of Proverbs 13. These verses are a mod podge of different wise sayings but they all tie back into what Solomon has talked about before. The key to this chapter is repetition is a good form of learning. Many of these sayings are similar but they are all valuable!

Tabernacle Worship – 1 – Entering to Worship
As we talk about worship, sometimes it is very difficult to really nail down exactly what we should be doing in order to truly worship the way that God would have us to. Its already hard enough to be committed to serving the Lord and the last thing we want to do is waste our time doing something that is not pleasing to the Lord.
As we start our new series of Tabernacle Worship, we are simply looking back to the OT to see how and what God required of his people in worship and take the opportunity to apply that to our relationships with Christ today. What we are talking about over the next few weeks is not a concrete law that you should go by, but if you ever just find yourself wondering how to please God, this might be helpful to you.
The Israelites spent around 1,400 years worshiping the one true God according to the instruction that God gave them at Mt. Sinai. Jesus did not come to abolish that Law but he came to fulfill it. There are many things in the OT that are no longer necessary because of the blood of Christ but all things from the OT are beneficial and useful to teach and understand who God is and what he requires of us. So, we are talking about Tabernacle worship and today we are talking about entering in to worship the Lord!
Many things that Jesus said was very much connected to OT scriptures and requirements for worship. As Jesus spent most of his time teaching the people of Israel, they would have very much understood the implications and analogies.
Points:
1. We must understand that worshiping is special!
– Numbers 2:1-2
– Acts 2:42-47
2. You had to choose to enter to worship!
– Psalm 100:1-4
– Hebrews 12:28
3. You could initially approach God, but Sin had to immediately be dealt with!
– Leviticus 1:4
– Hebrews 10:19-20
4. The residue of sin had to be removed!
– I Corinthians 6:11
Ending:
Maybe there is someone here this morning that has just felt stagnant and stuck. You remember the joy you had in your salvation; you remember feeling the power of God as his Word convicted you and you received forgiveness of sin. And you have been showing up, but you just feel like you are standing outside the wall, and you can’t see inside. Or maybe you are just stuck at the altar, and nothing has happened since. Maybe it is time to be washed clean?
The awesome thing about living in NT times is that you don’t need a priest to help you offer the sacrifice. Jesus is the sacrifice, and you are called to be the living sacrifice. Your priest doesn’t have to wash and enter the tabernacle for you. You can be washed, cleansed, made holy, and sanctified so that you can enter the tabernacle and commune with God! And we will talk about that next week.

What to do with Sin – 4 – Testify about Sin
As we have been talking about what to do with sin. We are sinful people. We live in a sinful world. It would be great if all of us surrendered to Christ completely and never sinned again, but that has not been the track record of Christianity through the centuries since Christ ascended, sent the HS and started the church.
We must confess, we must forgive, we must move forward with grace, and we must testify about sin. If we sweep sin under the rug and just ignore it, then we are setting ourselves and future generations of believers up for failure. We can never pretend it didn’t happen. But we must be very careful in how we talk about it!
– We must never glorify the sin.
– We must express the consequences of the sin clearly so that others will avoid the sin.
– We must give God glory for rectifying the sin that cause so much damage!
Scripture: Psalm 51:1-19
There are 5 ways that David talks about his sin and testifies about what is needed for things to be made right again!
Points:
1. David testifies about God’s willingness to forgive sins!
2. David testifies of his sin!
3. David testifies of his desire to be made whole!
4. David testifies of God’s restoration from sin!
5. David testifies of the proper order of things!
Ending:
We can never forget the power of testifying about what God has done in your life.
James 5:16
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

What to do with Sin – 3 – Move Forward with Grace
We have been talking about forgiveness and it is a double-edged sword that we must be so careful in wielding. Forgiveness can save us, or it can condemn us! We love to plead for the grace, mercy, and forgiveness of Christ, but it is perhaps the most difficult thing we will ever be called to do in this life is to freely offer grace, mercy and forgiveness to someone who has sinned against us. And as we talked about last week, if we deny those who have sinned against us the forgiveness that Christ calls us to give, then we deny the forgiveness of Christ in our own sins. It is a very hard thing to navigate and work through!
So, let’s give everyone here the benefit of the doubt. Let’s say that on April 7th, every person here that had sin in their life confessed it to the Lord, repented of it, and genuinely is trying to live apart from sin. And let’s just say that last week, everyone here truly cried out to God and asked for God to help them get to the point where they can begin to forgive someone who has sinned against them. Now what?
The truth is that through the power of the HS we must move forward with grace. Well that sounds good Pastor, but what exactly does that mean? This morning, I want to share an amazing passage of scripture with you as we teach on moving forward with grace. Turn with me to…
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 2:5-11
Points:
1. There always has been and always will be sin in the church!
2. But sin must be opposed!
– Galatians 6:1-2
– Matthew 18:15
3. Refusing forgiveness gives Satan a foothold!
Ending:
Grace is a must. Moving forward is a must. You can’t cling to the past. Everything we do is a testimony of what Christ has done in us! And everyone is watching. Everyone is witnessing what’s going to happen if they sin. We are testifying about Christ with every word and every action towards others.

What to do with Sin – 2 – When the sin is against you.
Last week, we started our new series on what to do with sin. We appropriately talked first about the need for us as Christians to confess and repent of our sins! We must make sure that in our lives there is no sin that is present and undealt with so that we can be in good standing with our God and Savior.
Today, we are moving on in this discussion of what to do with sin by talking about what to do when the sin is against you. Just as everyone of us are guilty of our own sins, there isn’t a single person in this room that has not been scarred, hurt, traumatized, or just experienced the negative consequences of another person’s sin. Their sin may not have been directly against you, but it very much impacted your life.
And some of you have been sinned against in the vilest of ways. Someone else’s sin has impacted your life in a way that can never be undone. In some ways you feel that the sin that was against you has ruined parts if not most of your life.
And the weight of that sin is heavy when it is from someone who is not a follower of Christ. But the weight of the sin of a Christian seems to be infinitely more unbearable. There is something about the sin of a brother or sister in Christ that scars us so much more because we are acutely aware that the sin absolutely should not be committed by those people!
So, what do we do?
Scripture: Colossians 3:12-15
Points:
1. God chose you!
2. You must choose!
3. Forgiving others is part of the deal!
– “13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.”
– Matthew 6:14-15
4. Forgiveness will not come easy!
– Luke 17:3-4 3
– Ephesians 4:31-32
Ending:
Forgiveness will certainly be one of the most difficult things that we will ever be called to give as a Christian. And how appropriate is it for us to experience the difficulty of it so that we can understand why we shouldn’t take the forgiveness of Christ for granted.
– 1 Peter 4:7-8
Make no mistake about it this morning. You are called to forgive. It is a must! And the forgiveness that you are called to give others isn’t for them. It is for you! You cannot be made whole, you cannot be at peace, you cannot be holy and accomplish the callings on your life as a Christian without offering forgiveness to those who sin against you. You cannot receive forgiveness unless you forgive those who sin against you.
It won’t come quickly, but it is something that you should seek with all your heart. Ask for God to give you an outpouring of the HS so that you can bring yourself to forgive. You don’t have to be friends with that person. But you can forgive them and live in harmony with them when you have to.

What to Do with Sin – 1 – Confess and Repent
Now, as we start this series, I want to be very clear that I am not giving you a greenlight to continue in sin. Paul does a very good job of explaining why we should not keep on in sin in his letter to the Roman Church in Romans 6. So, if you have someone pouring poison into your head about how you can keep on sinning because God forgives past, present and future sins, I really encourage you to read Romans 6. But that’s not our sermon today so let’s talk about what we must do with sin.
We do live in a sinful world. We are a sinful people. None of us have reached perfection and there are a ton of passages that talk about what we should do when we do fall into temptation and cross that threshold into sin. So, let’s look at some of them as we begin this new series.
Scripture: 1 John 2:1-2
Points:
1. The Goal is NOT to Sin (1 John 3:6)
2. We Have a High Priest (Hebrews 4:14-16)
3. Jesus Atones for Our Sins (Galatians 1:4-5, John 14:6)
4. We Must Confess and Repent (Luke 15:7)
Ending:
But we all have sin! As Paul wrote in…
Romans 3:23-24
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.
Any person who truly loves God knows that we have all sinned. Its not surprising that there is sin in your life. Because every saint of God has had sin that needed to be dealt with. Every saint has had to make their way down to an altar at some time if not multiple times in their life. You confessing and repenting will not be a shock. People will not be disappointed. IN fact, all of heaven will rejoice when you repent and you know in your heart that you will feel much better after you confess and repent!

The End of the Beginning – 7 – A New Beginning
Well, we are at the end of our series. Today we celebrate our risen Lord and Savior! A lot happened in the last week of Jesus’ physical life. Jesus was anointed and prepared for his burial. On Palm Sunday, he was given praise and glory. At the last supper he prepares the disciples for everything that was coming and we focused on the preparation of the Holy Spirit! Then we talked about his betrayal. Then we talked about how Peter denied him. Then we talked about the trials as he was sent back and forth between people who didn’t want to choose.
It is the saddest story ever told. It is everything that we all fear wrapped up into the end of one person, the very son of God. And the fact that he knew it was coming made it worse. Any kind of suffering that we know is coming makes it so much worse! It is rejection, betrayal, denial. He was made a spectacle and paraded for everyone to see. He was mocked and ridiculed. He felt excruciating pain and suffering. A slow and brutal death. Abandoned by the people that claimed to have loved us, naked and exposed for all the world to see. He had never done anything to deserve what he was getting. Everyone knew it, but his own people traded his life for a known murderer. Even though all he had ever done was help his people. His body experienced shock, suffocation, dehydration, and eventually death. But the worst thing he experienced was that moment in time when he took my sin and your sin and experienced separation from God for the first time ever. We focus so much on the physical pain, for Jesus the worst of it all was being separated from God even for just a moment as he fulfilled the requirements of the Old Covenant (Or OT if you will) and ushered in the New Covenant (or NT) with his blood!
And we get to celebrate not because it ended there, but because Jesus did even more than that! He rose from the dead. He proved once and for all that there is life after a physical death. That he has power death and the grave and that he is truly the one that is in control.
Scripture: Matthew 28:1-10
Points:
1. True followers look for Jesus!
2. Jesus has always done and will always do what He said He would do!
3. If you look for Jesus, you will find Him!
4. We need to tell others!
Ending:
We have got to come to the understanding that being a follower of Christ is more than just making a proclamation of faith. We have a calling on our lives to tell others that Jesus Christ bled and died for your sins. We have an obligation to tell them that he rose from the grave proving that there is life after physical death. We have an obligation to tell them that he ascended to heaven proving that there is a place beyond this physical world. WE have an obligation to tell them that Jesus sends his HS to his followers to empower them to do all that he has called them to!
As we celebrate Easter (Resurrection Sunday), what are there any of these things that are missing from your relationship with Christ? Have you ever made a profession of faith at all? Have you ever showed anyone that you believe in Christ? Maybe today is that day?
Have you been earnestly looking for Christ? Maybe he hasn’t been in some of the places you have been looking? Maybe today you just need ask Jesus to reveal himself to you because you have been looking in the wrong places.
Maybe you haven’t been telling anyone about what Christ has done. You don’t feel confident enough and maybe you need to ask Christ to fill you with the HS and empower you to speak his name?
Maybe you just have sin in your life and you know there needs to be a change.
What better day to do it than as we celebrate Jesus Christ paying the price for our sins, conquering death and the grave, and giving us a new covenant to dwell in fellowship with our God.
Will you come and seek Jesus earnestly this morning?

The End of the Beginning – 6 – Palm Sunday
Over the past 6 weeks we have been talking about the last week of Jesus life. And its so much more than just the last week of his physical life but it is the end of the beginning. It is the end of the first covenant, the end of the Old Testament. Jesus is going to fulfill this original covenant that was initiated with the call of Abraham 1,921 years before Christ, the Old Testament Covenant that was agreed upon by the people of Israel at Mount Sinai around 1,491 years before Christ. Jesus is about to fulfill this 2,000-year-old covenant and bring it to an end. Then he is ushering in a New Covenant which is what the entire New Testament represents.
But we have to back up because today is Palm Sunday, and we are going to look at this amazing account of Jesus entering into Jerusalem as the clock begins ticking away at the last few days of his life.
Scripture:
– Luke 19:28-40
Points:
1. Jesus sees all and knows all!
2. It’s all about the donkey!
3. The crowd is usually wrong!
4. Jesus will get all the praise, all the glory, and all the honor!
Ending:
I just want to encourage you today that even if you don’t fully comprehend who Jesus is and what he is capable of, that you should still praise him! Still glorify him and still honor him. To the best of your abilities, give God glory in your life. But you do need to realize that we must come to an understanding of who Jesus is eventually. Or we may find ourselves fighting against him when things don’t happen as we think they should.
When Jesus didn’t proclaim himself as king, when he refused to answer the accusations, the crowd did what the crowd does best. They followed the loudest voices which happened to be the enemies of God’s plan.
Jesus is Lord and King. He desires to be Lord and King in your life. But he is going to be the Lord and King that he is, not the one you think he should be. We have to realize exactly who Christ is so that we can submit to his will and his authority. In doing that, it’s the only way that we won’t get it wrong like the crowd did on that day.

Welcome back as we start the second section of Proverbs. Chapter 10 is beginning of the meat and potatoes of the one-liner wise sayings that Solomon wants his sons to remember.
Welcome Graham fam! We are so glad you could watch Sunday morning online with us.
The End of the Beginning – 5 – The Trials
Last week we talked about Peter’s Denial. This just happened to take place during the beginning of the trials of Jesus. Jesus was brought before the council as they began to question and accuse him. Today we pick back up in Luke 23 as the trials of Christ begin. We have a lot of scripture so let’s roll!
Scripture: Luke 23:1-24
Points:
1. Christ will always have enemies!
– John 15:18-19
– Matthew 6:23
2. There will always be people who defer!
3. The crowd is usually wrong!
– Matthew 7:13-14
4. It’s time to take responsibility!
– Matthew 27:24-25
Ending:
We love to read the Easter Story and think about how terrible Judas was, and how terrible it was for Peter to deny Christ, and how terrible it was for the religious leaders to demand Jesus’ death and free Barabas. But it was my sin that put Jesus in the hands of those men. It was my sin that made him suffer. It was my sin that put him on that cross. Say that with me this morning, “It was my sin that put Jesus on the cross.”
Until we take responsibility for that, I don’t know how you could even claim to have a relationship with Christ. It is a sad understanding when we realize it was because of us. But it is a wonderful realization that Christ willingly went to that cross for us. Will you choose him today and tomorrow and for the remaining days of your life?

In chapter 14, Paul continues the push back to the hyper-focus on speaking in tongues. He is still promoting love as the thing we should pursue. Desiring spiritual gifts is a good thing, but we should desire the ones that will help our brothers and sisters the most. Listen to see which one Paul promotes as the most helpful!

Welcome back as we finish up chapter 11 and talk about how to observe the Lord's Supper. The church of Corinth was having a hard time with many things and treating one of the sacraments with contempt was just one of the many items they were failing in. This passage gives us great insight as to the importance of treating the things of God with holiness and respect.

Chapter 8 deals with food offered to idols but the application is a beautiful thing that we can put on so many aspects of our walk with Christ. Knowledge can be beneficial but as we serve our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ love is the most important thing we can give and it is the way that we are identified by God as his children.
