Today we’re going to explore the idea of rediscovering meaning, joy, and purpose in our lives. It is easy to look at the state of your life and see every moment where things went wrong but this leads us to a place in our mind that is really negative.
Let me show you how to fix that.
Last week we talked about burnout and how important it is for each one of us to take account of what our world looks like right now and how burnout might be impacting us.
It's really important that we start to recognize the signs of burnout and we start to put interventions into place so we don't have to experience that.
Today I am going to give you 9 tips and trick you can put into place to help you better manage stress and if you are in that place of burnout you can get yourself back in control.
Burnout is a state emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion when there is excessive and prolonged stress. We start to burnout when we feel overwhelmed - when we get emotionally drained.
When it comes to dealing with burnout we have to… Recognize. Reverse. Resilience.
Today we are going to talk about boundaries. Now boundaries can be a bit of a confusing topic for some people.
We’ve heard of having strict boundaries. Some people are on the extreme, they’re like Camelot. On the other hand some boundaries look like a soccer field. No walls, there is just a person and a referee. People are running all over the place and it's chaotic because there are no boundaries.
If I’m being honest we need to be more fluid then that. It doesn’t have to be one or the other in fact your boundaries should look more like a house with a fence.
The quality of your thoughts and the expectations you have for yourself are going to continuously impact your moods, feelings and it really shifts a lot of behaviors and results in your life.
Self-care is a buzzword these days and it is really important to make sure we understand that self-care is not the same as being self-indulgent or being selfish.
Self-care means taking care of yourself so that you can be healthy, you can be well, you can do your job, you can help and care for others, and you can do all the things you need to and want to accomplish in a day.
Everyone must develop their own relationship with self-care. Yoga and stretching are great ways to start.
We are pulled in many directions based on all the demands we have in our lives some are from the world around us and some we put on ourselves. Day to day and moment to moment we have to decide what is going to happen. We choose how we spend our time.
I have put together a list of time skills so that you can do an assessment on which skills you need to develop or which things you need to improve in order to better manage your time.
It seems like throughout time and history people have always wanted to "manage" time and the thing is is that we can't manage time. We all have the same exact amount of time available to us. But having an exceptional set of skills can really help us to navigate through that time that we do have available.
Over the next two weeks, I'm going to talk about a few of these core skills that you can start to work on that will help you to better navigate through the time that you have available to you.
The world we live in is really chaotic right now and for a lot of us it doesn't matter what side we're on we are finding that we constantly feel like we're in a state of chaos.
Today we are going to talk about some mindset shifts that we can make that will help us to shift out of that chaos mindset.
We are going to continue where we left off last week and continue talking about building confidence. You have to change your perspective and your mindset and you have to choose to be more confident which is much easier said then done!
It is so important that we are able to walk through life experiences and still maintain a level of confidence inside of us.
When we're confident we are more likely to move forward rather then back away life's challenges. When things don't go right, confidence is that thing that allows us to step up and try again.
It takes time and it's a process but by shifting shifting how you present yourself you can create confidence and that will propel you towards your goals.
Change is not an event, change is a process.

Tony Robbin says "It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives but what we to consistently"
I often wonder why some people achieve so much success when there are other people who talk about working so hard and achieve much less. Why is that? What was the difference?
One of the main factors that separates the successful people and the unsuccessful people is the power of consistency. A lot of the time we see someone who's successful and we think "they're more intelligent, more ambitious or more persistent" or maybe even "they're luckier than everyone else" and fair enough these are all really key factors to achieving success but consistency is really that main ingredient that goes above all the others.
Consistency is so important when it comes to really making changes we want to see in our lives.
Imagine preparing to climb a mountain. If you were going to climb a mountain tomorrow - how would you prepare? You might: - gather your snacks, water bottle, shoes, etc. - pack them in a bag and place it at the front door. - tidy up your house to make sure you aren't stressed about that in the morning - write yourself a "don't forget" list that you can check off before you drive away in the morning - set an alarm - go to bed early
Think of each day as having a mountain of its own and what do you need to do to prepare.
If you want to have a great day today - you need to prepare the night before
Today we are going to talk about mental health and how we can really support somebody who is walking through a challenge within their mental health. And this could be anybody in your life. It could be you yourself and how you need too help yourself, this could be your partner or your best friend, your mom, your dad or even a sibling.
Our mental health is so so important and if you are somebody who struggles with mental health you know just how difficult it can be especially if you feel like you're dealing with it alone and you're not getting the support you need. Our mental health impacts our physical health as well as our environment and those around us.

Happiness is a matter of perspective. That might sound strange but the reality of that is that the level of joy, the amount of positivity, the happiness we experience in our world directly comes from inside of us. The belief systems that you have are going to determine what your world looks like.
When you intentionally slow down or remove the noise and step out of the chaos and into the present moment, that is where you'll find joy.
It's not out there, it's not beyond you, it's not something or someone in your world changing. It's a matter of right here, right now finding a joy within. They say that all's well end's well but all's well begins well too.
Our mind has these two main components these include our conscious thinking and our subconscious thinking. The conscious part of our mind is the part that we actively think with. This part of our mind has very limited resources available to us.
Now our subconscious mind is enormous. It has huge amounts of resources available to us.

Happiness: The elusive word - Happiness
We search for purpose, for joy, for satisfaction, for happiness. But yet, we continue to go through the motions day in and day out.
Satisfaction in life comes through a few different channels, but one that is more prominent than the others is what this video is all about. I want you to step up and make the shift into true happiness.
Humans are incredibly lazy beings so we tend to avoid a lot of things out of survival. We avoid as much as we possibly can as much emotional and physical stress as we can. You might not want to hear this but... You are lazy. I'm lazy.... We are all lazy as a species.
We are all constantly looking for the easier way through. We are all looking for that magic pill or that simple solutions that's going to change our world. But that doesn't exist.
When you want to do more, when you want to have more, when you want see more in your life you are going to have to dig deep and explore some of your belief systems. You have to improve and increase the quality of your thinking.
We have all procrastinated at some point in our lives whether it's all the time or even sometimes WE ALL DO IT!
Procrastination is more than just not wanting to do something there's an intention behind it. When we intentionally put something off whether its because of fear or worry whatever it was that was creating that procrastination
Have you thought about what you want to be doing in five years' time? Are you clear about what your main objective at work is at the moment? Do you know what you want to have achieved by the end of today?
If you want to succeed, you need to set goals. Without goals you lack focus and direction.
To accomplish your goals, however, you need to know how to set them. You can't simply say, "I want" and expect it to happen. Goal setting is a process that starts with careful consideration of what you want to achieve, and ends with a lot of hard work to actually do it.
Self-regulation is the ability to monitor and manage your energy states, emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in ways that produce positive results.
Every single day there are going to be difficulties, trials, maybe some stress, and ups and downs that we find ourselves in. What we want to be able to do for ourselves is sort of shift and change ourselves depending on our circumstances.
We want to be doing this to keep ourselves in a zone that allows us to get things accomplished, feel productive, and feel more connected with others.
We are all going through our own individual struggles. Take heed: your partner is not an exception to this rule. Sometimes, no matter what you do, they will struggle.
When that is the case, resist the urge to blow up at them about how much effort you’re putting in, etc., because I promise this will not get you the result you’re looking for. Be warm, be helpful, offer them as much love as you can. Crucially, think about how they behave when you are feeling down — this is a good clue as to how you can help them.
Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. It affects how you feel, think and behave and you may have trouble doing normal day-to-day activities.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major effect on our lives. Many of us are facing challenges that can be stressful, overwhelming, and cause strong emotions. In fact, the restrictions are causing increasing mental health issues by making us behave similarly to those with clinical depression and therefore more and more people are experiencing depression and anxiety.
This is where self-care and action steps come in because during these times we sometimes forget how important it is.

What we focus on really determines the trajectory of our day, our week, and our world. Today we are going to take that same principle and talk to you about how what we focus on in our relationships is going to be critical to the health and well being of that relationship

Sharing a life with someone is one of those things that most people long for - without it, we can feel lost, pained, unwanted, unattractive, all sort of negative emotions can arise from it.
With it, we can feel safe, loved, valued but, it can also be equally challenging. Sometimes we bounce around from one partner to the next hoping the next one will be the right fit. So what does it take to make a relationship great?
Easy! Well no... I shouldn't say easy. But I'm going to give you some easy things to start with!
You see, we all face challenges in our relationship but it doesn't have to stay that way. You have the ability to change things.
Change starts with you Do you spend more time questioning your partner’s words or actions than examining your own? Blaming your partner can feel good in the moment, but it’s dangerous because it can lead to anger and resentment.
Conflict is not a bad thing in relationships. All couples argue. The difference between the couples that stay together and the ones who divorce is the way they repair after conflict.
The couples that don’t repair those hurts end up with festering wounds that grow bigger day by day, the month, and the year until they finally break the couple apart. Repair is absolutely crucial in any kind of relationship, particularly intimate relationships.
Relationships, especially romantic attachments, are transactional. When we make a choice, our partner can choose as well. However, the two decisions may not be the same. We can negotiate, but sometimes negotiation isn’t possible. While we may want a romantic attachment to continue, if our partner has a different idea, the relationship may not survive.
The nature of choice is complex. It involves selecting one option and leaving others behind. Letting go of possibilities. Choice affects how a relationship evolves and if it will end. Every day, we make decisions in a relationship—when to have dinner, how to handle anger, whether to move to a new city.
Focus · to cause (something, such as attention) to be directed at something specific ·
We focus on the good things when we are happy. If you want to be happy do not dwell in the past, do not worry about the future, focus on living fully in the present.
We can focus on the good by making ourselves happy. Many people have validated that we can make ourselves happy.
“Happiness depends on ourselves.”
When you choose to express gratitude toward your partner, you are increasing the chances that they will behave in loving ways toward you in the future. Gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness.
Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships. People feel and express gratitude in multiple ways. They can apply it to the past the present, and the future
In New York City, where massive skyscrapers exist or any major city for that matter, the buildings are constructed with a foundation that can support the tens of floors that you can see above the ground. Do you desire a relationship that grows upward? If so, we need to consider its foundation.
Without a good foundation or system of roots, there is no real connection to love. In other words, what you need to know on this ground floor level is that in most instances love doesn’t exist if a foundation or root system isn’t in place.
When a relationship is well-nourished, and the couple takes their time to build, they are well invested. Because of this great investment, they become unlikely to bend or break under the pressures that life can throw their way.

What are the secrets to success? Well, successful people work hard. But you work hard too, right?
And if you keep working harder and harder you’re just going to be miserable. So what’s the answer?
Successful people don’t just work hard, they also work different. Extremely successful people make the impossible possible. And they do it by being resourceful. Creative.
Sometimes, you don’t get the results you want or deserve in life. Despite having a clear goal and plenty of ambition, it can seem like everything is going against you.
If you’re not getting the results you want that’s okay. While it may feel like the end of the world, it’s a part of your unique journey on this planet. The challenge is to avoid getting caught in the negativity of your current situation at the expense of action. The only way you can change your reality is by doing something about it.
"Happiness makes you more successful than success makes you happy."
The takeaway here is that re-aligning our mindset towards positivity is the first key to progress. While you haven’t got the results you wanted yet, you can find a way to appreciate your journey rather than allowing the binary outcomes of success or failure to define you
Before you can quit your bad habits, you need to first identify what you’re doing wrong.
Once you recognize your bad habits, you need to make changes. You need to replace your bad habits with positive habits—make them a new way of life so you can be more successful. So use this as a reference to help you stop doing things that are holding you back from being successful.
When was the last time you gave 100% of your attention to, well, anything?
Multitasking is a myth.
Most surprisingly, multitasking studies show that when we think we’re multitasking, we actually aren’t multitasking. It’s impossible for our brains to focus on two tasks at once it’s actually rapidly switching between them.
On the other hand, single-tasking is proven to help you get tasks done quicker and at a higher quality than trying to do multiple things at once.
A great meditation teacher once said there should be no difference between meditating in a cave or in the center of a city because peace is inside us and is not dependent on external circumstances.
Chaos is natural if you look at the world, it's everywhere but to find your peace in the midst of chaos is something you have to deal with. Life is unpredictable and will bring about many different emotions and mind states that can be challenging and difficult, even unbearable at times.
But beneath all the dramas, distractions, and problems, there is a still and calm place you can rest in.
Goal-setting is an essential tool for self-motivation and self-drivenness. It gives meaning to our actions and the purpose of achieving something higher.
By setting goals, we get a roadmap of where we are heading to and what is the right way that would lead us there.
Goals play a dominant role in shaping the way we see ourselves and others. A person who is focused and goal-oriented is likely to have a more positive approach towards life and perceive failures as temporary setbacks, rather than personal shortcomings.
Imagine a small rowboat. Your goals are like the rudder on the boat. They set the direction and determine where you go. If you commit to one goal, then the rudder stays put and you continue moving forward. If you flip-flop between goals, then the rudder moves all around and it is easy to find yourself rowing in circles.
We go about our lives steeped in one mindset or another, without the clear realization that whatever it is we think about or focus on consistently, we move towards.
Not everyone believes in the power of their thoughts. They brush it off while dwelling on the past or fearing the future, not quite understanding that the very things that they are thinking about, they are inching closer towards.
The mind is the most powerful computer in the world at the moment.
Building confidence is one of those things that’s so important to how we live our lives. When we lack confidence we carry ourselves differently, we behave differently and that results in us thinking differently.
Confidence isn’t something that you have, confidence is something that you create. Let me help you create that confidence.

In most places were dealing with that second wave and I’m sure it feels like our whole world is being controlled. Which makes it feel like we don’t get a lot of say in our lives.
With the restrictions that have been put in place, our lives very much resemble the symptoms of depression so that is what a lot of us are experiencing. This feeling is overtaking us and stealing our joy.
As we get closer to the end of this year, it’s time for us to stop and reflect. We need to reflect on what we want the future to look like for us. Even if they don’t feel possible for us right now.

Today we are going to continue our series on anxiety and talk about making quality decisions.
Currently with everything we have faced this year, it’s incredibly hard to feel in control of our own lives. It’s totally normal for you to become problem focused. That’s where making quality decisions comes in.
Making quality decisions will create this creativity, this excitement that builds up inside of us. That will allow you to start to strive towards something better eventually leading to you feeling more accomplished.
In the anxiety series, what you tell yourself matters.
In this pandemic, in this time of trial, tribulation, challenge, anxiety, stress, and overwhelm, it is critical that we get ahold of our thoughts.
What you focus on, you feel. The thoughts we allow ourselves to hold on to impact our outcomes, our results, our successes and our failures.

What we are all walking through right now is not normal and it’s okay to feel nervous about it. Whether you like it or not, whether you believe in it or agree with it or not, because of everything going on, there are a lot of big shifts happening in our lives these days, which brings up feelings of stress, of anxiety or worry, depression, overwhelm... Ugh!
It’s important to realize that so much of what is happening right now is out of our control. I am here to give you the tools to help deal with those big emotions and challenges for today, tomorrow, and whatever life might throw at you.
There really is no better time than now to do something or try something different.
Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not guaranteed so you need to take action with the only time that you are sure of.
When you take action, you set the wheels in motion and you increase the number of things that you can do or have done. Also, the number of options available to you begin to increase exponentially.
Procrastination is the enemy of action. You know you need to take action, but for some reason, you just can't seem to get yourself to do the things you know you need to be doing.
In this video, I am going to talk to you about why we don't seem to take action and a couple of ways that you can work on to start becoming a person of action.

Anxiety is a feeling of unease in our system, it's a sense of worry or fear. Having this feeling is perfectly normal it's part of our natural system. But it can be really hard for some of us to get control over how we're feeling.
So many of us have been spinning our wheels. Going through the motions. Living "comfortable" but not in hot pursuit of a life with growth, passion, enthusiasm, creativity, fulfillment. A life where, at the end of the day, feels good.
I know for many people, it doesn't even really look like you could do anything to change this. Maybe circumstances around you feel restrictive in what you can actually do, but you too, can have a life fulfilled.

ever felt like you were just constantly dropping the ball when you knew you needed to make a change in your life? 😠
or
like you just keep trying to make the same changes and yet keep finding yourself sinking back into old habits?
Trust Me, change is possible. But do you understand why you keep can't seem to kick yourself out of those old habits? To be honest, one reason is human nature's incredible laziness, and the other is homeostasis.
to change:
1.you have to come to a place where staying the same is no longer an option. 2.we do need to be ready to push ourselves because our body is going to want to revert back to homeostasis 3.we need systems and plans in place that will hold us to our new objective 4.small changes daily lead to massive change over time.

What is the difference between a growth mindset and fixed mindset?
As we grow, we need to create in ourselves the mindset of being on a quest. We are all on a journey, but in a quest, we start to ask ourselves strategic questions that are going to break us out of the mundane, day-to-day routine that keeps us stuck.
You are going to have to take steps to start evaluating, reflecting, and yes, dare I say it, Journalling!!
To have the things that others don't have, we must be willing to do the things that other's won't do!
What do you want?
Write it down!
This weeks message comes at a time when I am reminded of my why. My brother passed away in 2018 and July 21st is his earthly birthday. He left this world at 35 years old and did not get to life his purpose, a life cut short - albeit, his purpose might have been to impact my purpose and help me get the fire rolling - Live Passionately - whatever you do - do it with your whole heart - find your passion - find your purpose - find your vision and mission!
Learning to discover and write your vision, your mission, and your values helps you to discover your next steps in life.
Having a vision means we have a clear sense of purpose. It means we have a much larger picture of our business, or our life, than simply setting and reaching short term goals and tackling problems as they come along.
Visions are driven by passion and dreams, and they are reflected through real efforts to create real results.
Read on to learn why having a vision is critical for business development and success.
“You’ve got to give yourself the freedom to dream – to use your imagination to see and feel what does not yet exist. A vision is not the same as goals or objectives; those come from the head. A vision comes from the heart.”
~ John Graham
The thing is, you don't have to have all the answers, but you do have to start. Start moving and the answers will come. This is a living document that ebbs and flows as you grow.
Having a vision provides a sense of purpose and direction. Your vision will help you define your short and long-term goals, and guide the decisions you make along the way.
I want you to have success - and it begins with a roadmap!
Too many of us rely on motivation to get what we want - to change the results that we are getting in our lives and then we never see change.
Until we make the unconscious conscious, it will rule your life and you will call it fate. ~ Carl Jung Far too often, we allow our emotions to rule our actions and our lives, which then impacts the results that we are getting in our lives.
You can get yourself back in control of your emotions and there are many tools that you can use - this is just one way.
It is well known that thankfulness is highly linked to happiness. And in such a time as this, how can we resolve to practice the art of Thanksgiving in our daily life?
How can we make this holiday something we celebrate not just yearly, but monthly, daily, or even moment-by-moment?
What is limiting you. What is stopping you from realizing your dreams?
Find your potential.
This podcast explores some of the limits we put on ourselves.
Being Proactive about your day increases your sense of accomplishment and success. When you combine this with activities that fit into your value system you 10x that outcome. How can you find out what you value and start to live into that pro-actively everyday!
