When our lives get tangled up and they do, we are virtually unusable to God. Pastor Ed continues the Untangled series with 8 truths about our bodies and spiritual health.
If our finances are tangled, it will be because our hearts are tangled by greed. And if our hearts are tangled, we will make very little progress in God's direction in any area of our lives. Jesus is saying store up where your investment will be the most secure.
One of the keys to untangling our lives, perhaps the most important key, is to discipline our thoughts. All our actions have one thing in common: they begin as thoughts. In Philippians 4:4-9, we learn qualities that should characterize our thought life. We are also given four practical helps to accomplish untangling our thoughts.

In order to live a life of influence—for good and for God we need a faith-filled determination to bring others to Jesus.
Three things that enable us to witness: 1) God has given us a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline. 2) We are sustained in our suffering by the power of God. 3) We can trust Him: not the what or how, BUT the who.

Why are we spiritually blind? How did we get this way? What do we see when our eyes are opened?

What is worship? Why do we worship? How do we worship well?, Biblical worship is the whole life response to God - head, heart and will - recognizing who God is and what he's done.
When we understand how much we have been forgiven and the cost, then we are compelled to freely forgive even at a great cost to ourselves.
Pastor Ed talks about two thoughts: 1) Keep the main thing the main thing. 2) Keep your spirituality right side out.
According to Jesus the good life is life in the kingdom of God and it's available to everyone!
The church is the body of Christ and an organic, living, organism. Pastor Ed talks about five points that should govern how we think and engage with the church.

4 vital components to Repentance: 1. clear- eyed recognition of where we really are 2. acknowledgement of God's sovereignity and saving power 3. involves abandonment of all dependencies and values apart from God 4. involves a firm determination to follow the way of the Lord whatever that may be

Is the book a historical retelling of actual events? or Is it a book written as a morality play?

2 Parts for we are a culture: 1 we don't do what pleases us. 2 We are to be good neighbors.

5 C's on a Missionary Journey: our context, our challenges, our cracks, our chains, our culture
