We're celebrating an outpouring of God's promises today: six dedications and baptisms! Jesus was dedicated in the Temple when he was a newborn, so Christian parents often choose this special prayer time as the first church for their young children. Baptism, meanwhile, is the formal Christian entrance rite into the family of Jesus Christ--at any age, according to Scripture. So we celebrate both joyfully! Our next scheduled dedication/baptism date is Sunday, January 29, 2023.

In high school, my cross country coach had a rule… You were never allowed to look back. He said looking back meant you were running someone else's race, not your own. This same concept can be found in Scripture — in both the Old and New Testaments. During this message, Pastor Chris prepares us for 2022 by taking a look at what it means to forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead.

This four-week series will discuss God’s emotions — namely, his anger, mercy, love, and empathy. Through four different narratives found in the Gospels, we can see Jesus acting as his Father would and displaying unique attributes that we can both experience and extend as we live out the gospel.
Jesus is notorious for deconstructing the world’s scorecard and establishing his own. He takes what we know and what feels comfortable and flips it upside down. Jesus has his own way of doing things and it’s time to get on Jesus’ team.
What obstacles are keeping you from seeing Jesus clearly? It’s time to look past our pain and into the fullness of his true identity. When we begin to push back our limited understanding of who He is, we are able to encounter him in new and transformative ways.
When Jesus appeared on the scene more than 2,000 years ago, he brought with him the ability to connect heaven and earth. Some liken this holy deliverance to that of a cosmic blast. This mysterious appearance of our King reminds us that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. Jesus is still breaking down our old paradigms and because of that we can burst with joy today!

A student in our youth group once said, "My relationship goal? I want to be a cute old couple. You know, the couple you see sitting on the bench in the park and can't help but to say aww? Like that."
She's not alone. Most of us want to be a cute old couple. We want to meet someone, fall in love, and stay together. We want to grow closer as we grow older.
But ask anyone who has been married for more than 48 hours and they will tell you that it's not that easy. All relationships — whether it's a close friend, family member, or soulmate — take work. They are full of ups and downs, good times and bad times. There are days when you couldn't be any more in love and there are days when you can't even decide where to eat.
So we want to talk to the experts. Throughout the month of February, we are going to be interviewing four cute old couples — couples who have put in the work and stayed together for 40+ years. These interviews will be accompanied by a study of one of the most famous relationship passages in the Bible — 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.

That got us thinking? How does God use music in our faith? Do songs — not just worship songs, but the songs we listen to on the radio or Spotify — move us closer to God? Does God speak to us those lyrics? That’s what this series is about… Finding God in music. Which is easier said than done. The world around us is moving faster and faster, barreling towards Christmas morning. Whether we are waiting in line for a Black Friday sale or rushing into the mall for a last-minute stocking stuffer, it's a hectic month that can often leave us tired, stressed, and distracted.
It's easy to forget what this season is really about.
That's why we are are going to spend the month exploring the names of Jesus in scripture. Each day, there will be a new name and scripture reading. These will help keep us focused on what really matters — the birth of our Savior.
