Scott Carrier has always been one of my favorite radio writers. This classic should be required listening for everybody in America: Friendly Man.

I would recommend each and every episode from every Radiotopia show. That will keep a person busy for a while. You also could start here with a classic.
This is a story we would never have thought to do… until we found Majd (or she found us). Majd spent more than two years bravely recording her life, and chronicling her parents’ attempts to arrange her marriage. What I love about this one is that it’s such an unfamiliar story to many of us. But as a diarist, Majd is so familiar we feel like we know her by minute two.
