Dr. Canute White talks with Amparo Vazquez (May 16, 2024)

Amparo founded Astekah & BIPOC-CX, which she created to assist marginalized communities in navigating our increasingly chaotic times, especially for those most systemically disempowered. Through them, she aims to help create new leaders, those who will not conform to current conditions and norms but unwaveringly challenge all - starting within themselves - and create from a space of wholeness, worthiness, and service to humanity. Her vision is one of a world where power rests in the hands of those who lead from their heart & challenge the status quo to its core. #adversities #selfrecovery #relationships

Dr. Canute White talks with Tony El (February 27, 2024)

Tony finds the question of "why" fascinating because seemingly so many people today are terrified to ask "why". Why are things the way that they are? Why am I being told something that I believe to be true, something that I have seen/heard, is wrong? etc... That is the word that he wears on his shirt sleeve like gold. According to my guest, “America is the only nationwhose Constitution, founding documents, recognizes the god-ordained right for us to freely think and express our thoughts. The problem is that so many choose not to.” #blackhistory #America #mindset

With more than four years of hard-won sobriety, Ryan has transformed his life's adversities into valuable lessons for those still struggling with addiction. Dr. Canute White talks with Juliet Rose, a multi award-winning author of nine novels (January 23, 2024)

By the time she was ten years old Juliet Rose knew she wanted to be a writer. She entertained neighborhood kids with her stories after school and with the support of her mother got her first typewriter. Life had other plans and after the death of her mother when Juliet was eleven, she put those dreams on hold. Over thedecades she has picked up the proverbial pen time and again, writing about her life experiences including the cancer diagnosis and subsequent passing of her four-year-old daughter. Focusing on fiction currently, she is driven to bring to life characters from many walks of life and the struggles faced in modern society. Her writing style is open and fluid, giving the characters the ability to shine as the truth of their own story. Her works are honest and sometimes brutally painful but in the end her characters are given the voice that needs to be heard. Juliet is a New York native living in the mountains of Georgia. She has lived all over the United States and Mexico and doesn’t plan to stop seeing theworld beyond her front doorstep. She spends her time rescuing animals, painting, and writing. Her dream is to get an RV to explore hidden gems and find the best vegan restaurants. #socialissues #family #authors

Paul Zolman has created a new application of the love languages. It's a profound way to learn all five love languages to give them away. By giving them away, your vision will improve to the point that you can see them coming your way and respond appropriately. The system is so easy that even young children can be trained in this love-giving system. Spoiler alert: it's a game where everyone wins. #childhoodabuse

“Paul Zolman is the international bestselling author of the Role of Love, but the true author of love is God. In His wisdom, He placed us in a variety of circumstances that require us to find our way back to His pure love. So, what qualifies me to speak about love? My childhood experience of the opposite of love. From that austere beginning, and the distaste it formed inside me, I searched for and eventually created a method that transformed my life from anger to loving everyone.” (Paul Zolman)

GOFUNDME: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-nesean-to-live-a-normal-life-with-paralysis

  • C5 level paraplegic, meaning minimal movement of his arms and legs, and is completely dependent on caregivers, mainly mom Kedine, for everything – feeding, clothing, bathing, and even repositioning. It has led to a terrible complication, pressure ulcers that are not healing and have become infected.

• On his 16th birthday, he went to the community store to get some juice, and got caught in a deadly crossfire, the bullet lodging in his neck.

• There are decent treatment options for NeSean, but they are limited by his immigration status. As an N01 non-resident, he cannot access federal or state funding for special surgical procedures and extended recuperative medical therapy, to heal his infection.

• Total estimate including diverting colostomy, and plastic reconstructive surgery with flap, is $169,000, with $25,000 needed to get started. Better housing options than his current stay at Ronald McDonald. We hope to raise these funds through philanthropy, and grants. The long term to get NeSean back to school, into standard rehab, but also the innovative and advanced therapeutics at the Lois Pope Life Center to Cure paralysis, and regain the use of his arms

Born out of life's most profound challenges, Deb Curtis has emerged as a voice of reason in the tumultuous world of business. Her personal journey, marred by hardship and strife, has molded her into a resilient advocate for unity in diversity.
In her early years, Deb encountered numerous trials that could have shattered the spirit of anyone lesser. At the age of nine, she was left abandoned in a drug-infested home. Throughout her teenage years, she wrestled with feelings of rejection, leading her to attempt suicide twice. At twenty-six, she married a man whose severe alcoholism and violent behavior threatened her life. But through these hardships, Deb yearned for love and recognition, searching for it in all the wrong places. #diversitymnagement #corporate #minority

My guest is Amanda Blackwood

Quoting from the mouth of my guest: “When I talk on stages about my experiences as a survivor of Human Trafficking, I try to always inject a sense of humor. The subject matter I talk about can be really heavy and if it's not delivered properly can leave people feeling triggered, traumatized and depressed. I see this often in the field of work I'm in. It's what I lovingly refer to as "trauma vomiting." You get all the bad stuff, and nothing good comes from it. I want people to feel uplifted, not depressed!”

As she talked with me she injected a sense of humor to achieve just that sort of feeling. #humantrafficking #trauma #survivor

My guest is Yehloe Davis

Yehloe is the type of poet that keeps it real. He is a fun person that loves humor and reality on many levels. He helps build relationships, with spoken word artists, authors, and entrepreneurs. So, he was fun to talk with on Canyouth’s Exploration. He grew up in the streets of Chicago's southside. He has tried to keep a positive outlook on things and spread that energy to others. It hasn't always been easy, but somehow, he made it out.

What do you know about dyslexia? How does the system interplays with dyslexia? How does dyslexia affect relationships? Dr. Canute White talks with Michaell Magrutsche who was born with dyslexia.

My guest is an outside-the-box thinker. He can resolve paradoxes like why 95% of worldwide artists exist around the poverty level and therefore should be proud to be poor. According to Michaell, “without creativity there are no man-made systems, there would be no world as we know it.” What’s the solution? The solution: My guest discovered patterns within Art that foster creative communication and identify art values outside any systems which always raise our human potential. He suggested creative communication for dyslexic children. #dyslexia #learningdisability #thesystem

My guest was a young boy (now a man) who lived with his family in rural Mississippi where life should be carefree. He witnessed domestic violence and become a victim of sexual assault all in one year. For Anthony McKinney, life was anything but simple. Fortunately, he found refuge in a young girl named Santorica. Soon after they fell in love, a life-changing event has the potential to separate the two love birds and change his life forever. My guest’s sister was about to be raped by a man and my guest courageously protected his sister by ‘taking the rape’. #fatherlesschild #sexualabuse #singleparenting

He hosts the show MY STEPS TO SOBRIETY, and has just released the second edition of his book under the same name. Born in Germany, Stephan studied medicine at the prestigious Heidelberg University before traveling and working around the globe. My guest started her first business at 19 years old when someone told her they thought she couldn't do it. Three years later, she decided that she wanted to close up shop and move to another province. Five days later, she left BC for Alberta. It's in Alberta where she truly began her career in Pay Per Click advertising. She basically went from managing $250 a month to $4.3M a year.

Still living in Canada, Ameet has spent the last decade figuring out why people do what they do online, what prompts them to take action, and how to use this insight to make marketing work better. Today she uses that experience to design dazzling campaign strategies for our clients and teach future generations of PPC pros at the university level.

Her obsession doesn't stop at marketing, however. Ameet's knowledge of and passion for American football has been called "excessively enthusiastic" (ask her an NFL question, we dare you). Her love for the Dallas Cowboys is second only to her love of her dogs, Luke and Leia.

Born in Athens, Greece as an Air Force brat, Teri M Brown graduated from UNC Greensboro with a multitude of degrees – majors in Elementary Education and Psychology and minors in Math and Sociology – she just couldn’t settle on one thing! While homeschooling her four children, she began her writing career by focusing on small businesses, writing articles, blog posts, and website content. She published five nonfiction self-help books dealing with real estate and finance, receiving "First Runner Up" in the Eric Hoffman Book Awards.

My guest is the author of An Enemy Like Me, a WWII historical fiction that explores the idea that we are more like the enemy than we are different from them. Additionally, she wrote Sunflowers Beneath the Snow, a historical fiction set in Ukraine. This story is ripped from the headlines and will help readers understand the current Ukrainian conflict and develop empathy and compassion toward their plight.

“How does a man show his love – for country, for heritage, for family – during a war that sets the three at odds? What sets in motion the necessity to choose one over the other? How will this choice change everything and everyone he loves?” (An Enemy Like ME – coming soon.).

Katherine Klimitas is an artist, motivational speaker, author, and graphic designer. She is living with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, better known as Brittle Bone Disease. Katherine gets around in an electric wheelchair and she is 2 feet, 7 inches tall. By age 10, my guest had broken over 500 bones because of the disease. However, she and her parents refused to let Osteogenesis Imperfecta disease dictates her happiness and upward mobility. During her senior years at Loyola University, she started KAK Art & Designs. She is now expanding her reach and capabilities as a watercolor artist and motivating others to contribute to their communities.

“Some believe in destiny and some believe in fate, but I believe that happiness is something we create.” (Katherine Klimitas quoted this from her favorite hit by Sugarland)

My guest was Mrs. Gooden Williams – the mother of an amazing child who has experienced severe scoliosis and has overcome with strength and determination. The names of those who had given support were so many that my guest asked me to also express her appreciation to Nekola Pitt and Nadine Hibbert who were not mentioned in the interview. What is Scoliosis? Viewed from the front or back, the spinal column should be straight. When scoliosis is present, you will see a sideways shift of the spine to the right or left. Approximately 10% of the population has small curves (less than ten degrees), which are of no consequence to function or health. This condition is called Spinal Asymmetry. When a diagnostic x-ray is done, the curve of the spine is measured in degrees, as an angle, and this is called a Cobb angle. Scoliosis is defined as a curve greater than ten degrees. It is most common in the thoracic and lumbar regions of the spine and can involve one or both of these regions. The most common curve pattern is a right thoracic curve.

My guest, Dr. Lawrence D. Mass, M.D., is a co-founder of the Gay Men’s Health Crisis in New York City. He is most notably recognized as the first to write about the epidemic that later became known as AIDS. He is the author of We Must Love One Another or Die: The Life and Legacies of Larry Kramer; a two-volume collection, Dialogues of the Sexual Revolution; and a memoir, Confessions of a Jewish Wagnerite, Being Gay and Jewish in America. He explores interfaces of culture, social tolerance, health and spirituality, and seemingly disparate phenomenas such as Wagnerism and AIDS.

With the increasing desire to change before it's too late, many individuals get stuck in the "how-to" stage and never act as they are paralyzed by the unknown. Rick has the road map for these lost and confused dream-seekers. He will provide the inspiration to act and the hope of a better tomorrow and happiness.

Rick wasn't always interested in helping others on a global scale despite being pushed repeatedly in that direction by near-death experiences, family tragedies, and deaths. It wasn't until the ever-worsening times of 2020 when he was laid off, quarantined, and desperate that he finally got the wake-up call.

Dennis Williams is a single father who lives in a one bedroom with his nine-year-old son Devonte Williams who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at birth. At 34-year-old, Mr. Williams continues to do bartending and works as a delivery man to help support himself and his child. In an interview with a Jamaican newspaper (The Gleaner), he expressed his emotion:

“Right now, just talking about this is giving me cold bumps. This is my one and only child and it scares me when he has seizures. I can only sleep with one eye open because of how fearful I am that something will happen to him. He gets scared, too, and would behave frantically in the house”

Mr. Williams also reported that he spent over $40,000-$50,000-JMD monthly to take care of his child. The father desperately needs a disability bath chair so he can shower Devonte with ease.

Sandy Kirkham: A church is where an insecure sixteen-year-old girl should feel welcome, happy, and most importantly, safe. Tragically for some, the church can become a place of great harm. Sandy Phillips Kirkham experienced the deceit and lies that come with being the victim of a wolf in sheep's clothing… her church’s youth minister. After decades of keeping her deep secret, Sandy discovered her voice and has made it her life’s work to be an advocate for others.

My guest continues to use her voice to help victims of clergy abuse. She is a highly requested speaker, podcast guest and media liaison on the topic.

It is International Women’s Day 2022 (IWD 2022) and Canyouth’s Exploration explores the challenges experienced by women and how they have overcome. Considering my guest experiences and overcoming, other women worldwide would be empowered to deal with their challenges and be optimistic that things can change and will change through appropriate actions or inactions suggested by my guests: Eileen Franco (Certified Holistic Wellness Transformation Coach), Natassia Wright (Diplomat-NGO HR), Melonie Yates (EFT Therapist), and Stephanie Olson (CEO of Set Me Free Project).

The theme for IWD 2022 is ‘Break the Bias’: “Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. Knowing that bias exists isn’t enough, action is needed to level the playing field. Are you in? Will you actively call out gender bias, discrimination and stereotyping each time you see it?” (IWD site as linked below)

Dr. Canute White talks with several women who represent most women worldwide that had challenging experiences in various aspects of life. What are some of the challenges faced by women and how can women overcome these challenges? Women of challenge shall overcome #IWD2022 #womenshallovercome #breakthebias

For military leaders, combat provides the ultimate test of their leadership abilities because it requires them to influence soldiers to willingly risk their lives to achieve the organization's goals. For non-military leaders, the achievement of the organization’s goals provides the ultimate test of their leadership abilities because it requires them (you) to influence followers to willingly risk time, health, and family to achieve the organization’s goals.

Dr. Canute White gave a lecture about ‘How to Use Combat Leadership in Your Organization/group’ on Canyouth’s Exploration. The aim is to make leaders more effective through critical and military-like thinking. #organizationalleadership #leaders #strategicplanning

This is February 2022 and Reggae Month is now in its 15th years since it was officially declared in 2008. While Jamaica considered the impact of reggae music on the country’s social, cultural, and economic development, it is also important to consider the music and its various players. Canyouth’s exploration discussed the journey of reggae music through the years, the apparent demise of reggae, the Lady Saw contention, and other challenges in the reggae music industry. Should Lady Saw return to the dancehall from the pulpit? Is reggae the same as dancehall? Is iit fair to say that reggae is only associated with poor communities, poverty, and crime? What are the differences between today's reggae and 20 -30 years ago? See what Lady Saw looks like before and after – should she go back to before? #reggaemonth2022 #reggaemusic #ladysaw

My guest, Jackie Simmons, is a former radio show host and current summit host with an engaging story to inform and engage you in this episode. As a TEDx speaker, Radio Show Host, International Best-selling Author, Resilience Master, and co-founder of the Teen Suicide Prevention Society, Jackie Simmons is best known for her mission to “Stop Teen Suicide.” In 1995, blindsided by her 14-year-old daughter’s suicide attempt, Jackie entered a world of depression, addictions, medical mysteries, and deadly silences. The journey into the world of mental health services and cultural taboos left Jackie feeling lost and alone. “OK” on the outside, with “really, I’m fine,” her most frequent response to inquiries about how she was doing. Jackie hid her deep, psychic wounds from the world behind a façade of frantic entrepreneurial activity. Then on August 3, 2019, Jackie’s now 37-year-old daughter, broke the silence. Jackie wasn’t ready. She calls August 3, 2019: The day her “purpose tapped her on the shoulder.”

Dr. Canute White interviews Jackie as we go on the journey that launched her mission to stop teen suicide and help you understand suicide and those with suicidal thoughts. #suicide #teensuicide #depression

My guest is worried about possible demise if she is not able to continue her dialysis treatment regularly. "I used to go there but I had to stop because I don't have the money," she said. "I owe them over $50,000 already, and they give me a limit since I owe the money, and I pass the limit. So, I just must try and go one time per week," she told THE STAR. Verna talked to Dr. Canute White about her health challenges and the related expenses. She would also welcome a kidney donor. #medicalhelp #kidneydonor #Jamaicandiaspora

Pan-Africanism is a worldwide movement that aims to encourage and strengthen bonds of solidarity between all indigenous and diaspora ethnic groups of African descent.

Pan-Africanism is also seen as the idea that peoples of African descent have common interests and should be unified.

Dave Wright talked with Dr. Canute White on Canyouth’s Exploration about Pan-Africanism in Jamaica and the rest of the Caribbean region. “Africa for Africans” – The unofficial Pan-African slogan that echoes the hallways of most Pan-Africans’ corridors across the world. The truth is that not all black people believe this slogan or its objective to suggest a “back to Africa” notion. However, what is the truth about Pan-Africanism from the prospective of those who believe, support, and advocate the concept.

Pan-Africanism is a worldwide movement that aims to encourage and strengthen bonds of solidarity between all indigenous and diaspora ethnic groups of African descent.

Pan-Africanism is also seen as the idea that peoples of African descent have common interests and should be unified. This notion begs several questions regarding Caribbeanism, and Jamaicanism, which will be answered by my guest, Mr. Dave Wright. He is a Jamaican Pan-Africanist who had started his own organization to further the cause of Pan-Africanism. #panafricanism #Africa #blackculture

According to Mother Teresa: “Charity isn't about pity; it is about love…not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

Today, Saidian Townsend needs that show of love through your kind contribution as she struggles to find money for a life saving brain surgery. The single mother was diagnosed with a frontal lobe tumor in the right side of the brain and was instructed to have it removed immediately. It was reported in a Jamaican newspaper that her brain was only covered with a titanium screen mesh panel and skin on her head. However, two years after that initial surgery, my guest is still unable to complete the next phase of the process, which would be to install a cranial plate. This second surgery was scheduled for December 2020 but financial challenges and a debt of over $1.2 million to the hospital had delayed the process.

My guest has been unemployed since 2019 as the disease had affected her functionality. She has a 17-year-old daughter in high school and continues to experience financial challenges even to provide life’s necessities. Saidian Townsend needs the help of Jamaicans in the diaspora, SMEs, Government agencies, and anyone who would show her the love that Mother Teresa suggested. #jamaicandiaspora #helpneeded #charity

Saidian Townsend can be reached at (876) 448-7738. Donations can also be made to her using the following details: National Commercial Bank Branch: St Jago Plaza Name: Lolita Townsend Account Number: 474420779 Savings. JN Account: 2094593731. As an alcohol and drug counselor, Jennifer Jeffries had challenges with her own drugs addiction that had affected her life. She was an actress, and her acting career was also disrupted by the addiction. However, Jennifer continues to help others overcome their addiction after her overcoming. She was critical about the concept of recovery but gave important advice to drug abusers. She considered her childhood ‘white privilege’ with a good life and a father in the film industry. Jennifer recalled her incarceration and rehabilitation because of her constant drug use. She did nine months of sober living after six months of rehabilitation. Her passion for harm reduction and the 12-step program allowed her to talk in detail about those topics and others as she sits with Dr. Canute White on how to overcome drug addiction and be happy. #drugaddiction #hardreduction #addiction

As a conflict resolution coach for Asian-American leaders, Jerry Fu will give you greater awareness on how to resolve altercations and increase empathy in communities, families, and organizations. Jerry is also a pharmacist and a leadership coach who works with professionals on their careers and life journeys.

I was born in the United States, growing up in a Taiwanese family. I encountered conflicts at work, in culture, and within myself.

I didn’t know how to handle any of it, and I didn’t know where to look for help.

Worse, I lost a job because I continually avoided conflict with an upset boss. But getting fired was the wake-up call I needed. I had to adapt myself and improve as a leader, which meant engaging the conflict I disliked so much. Ironically, my ongoing struggle with conflict became a fascination. Now, I help others take on the same challenges.

Jerry will talk to Dr. Canute White about those issues and more. #conflict #altercations #culture

Stephanie Olson brings knowledge on the topic of human trafficking, a topic that is becoming more prominent throughout the United States. What often comes as a surprise to some is that human trafficking is not often the movie “Taken,” kidnapping, white vans, etc. Therefore, my guest talks about the reality of human trafficking.

According to Stephanie, most frequently, traffickers build relationships with the individuals and there is an increase in familial trafficking. Therefore, Mom's and Dad's, Grandma's and Grandpa's are the traffickers. Social media may be dangerous as my guest suggested that it’s the number one place traffickers use to lure the individuals, they traffick. So, she informed that “less than 2% of trafficking victims are recovered which is why prevention is so critical”.

Stephanie Olson has experienced trauma in her own life through domestic violence, sexual violence, addiction, and abandonment. Therefore, she has learned how to have resilience in life and leadership and has a desire to instil that in others. So, she talks with Dr Canute White on Canyouth’s Exploration She is the CEO of The Set Me Free Project that provides prevention education on human trafficking, social media safety, and healthy relationships. She also teaches resilience in life and leadership. #humantrafficking #sexualviolence #domesticviolence

Out of adversity came a vision to help raped victims and unwanted babies. This is the vision of Cassandra Terrelonge who was raped and become a mother at 11 years old. Wanted to be a good mother at that young age, my guest had decided to make prostitution the means to an end financially. She is now a Christian and giving God all the glory.

However, Cassandra would like assistance to realize the establishment of a restorative and counselling centre for rape victims, especially adolescents. This institution would also provide a foster home arrangement for unwanted babies “…instead of mothers disposing of the newly born babies in garbage bins, left abandon on the streets, or choosing abortion”. In addition, the facility would offer self-care and skill training for persons living with disabilities. #fundsneeded #helpforunwantedbabies #helpme

Chancellor Jackson believes his perspectives on various ‘juicy topics’ will provoke critical thinking. Therefore, he was ready to talk with Dr Canute White on Canyouth’s Exploration to explore philosophical issues but more so to tell his story of incarceration in China. His book '14 Days in Beijing', reported an unforgettable tale of his experience being locked up in China. Writing is a late hobby of Chancellor who described his book as successful. #incarceration #socialjustice #sadexperiences

“I LIKE TO LIVE MY DAILY LIFE IN A WAY THAT I NEVER LOSE MYSELF. WHEN YOU’RE CARRIED AWAY WITH WORRIES, FEARS, CRAVINGS, ANGER, AND DESIRE, YOU RUN AWAY FROM YOURSELF AND YOU LOSE YOURSELF. THE PRACTICE IS ALWAYS TO GO BACK TO ONESELF.” (Chancellor Jackson) From the book, '14 Days in Beijing’: -

My name is Lucky Chance. I’m a young man looking for an exciting life of travel, and I’m here in Beijing to start a teaching job.

On April 4th, 2019, my luck runs out. The Beijing Police show up to my apartment unannounced and I’m arrested on drug charges. I get no information about the law, my rights, nothing. After 14 hours of sitting handcuffed in a holding cell, my destination is Beijing Jail No. 6.

I am in a cell with 14 Chinese men and 9 wooden beds for 24 hours a day. I have no idea how many days I will be here, or whether I will ever receive any information. Am I the only foreigner in this jail? How does this jail even work?

My guest enjoys philosophical conversations and engage in critical thinking as he explored how we think and behave. The relationship between free will and rationality will be analyzed clearly by John Lee. Many people cry for justice but is injustice a feeling that does not exist? John discussed love, morality, meaning, purpose, theism, and atheism with Dr Canute White on Canyouth’s Exploration, “Your topic in a podcast”. #freewill #philosophy #criticalthinking

My guest, Jodi Woelkerling, is very passionate about resilience as part of organizational culture and wants to share her knowledge and experiences with organizational leaders, employees, and potential employees. Life has so many lessons along its journey and we should all learn from these lessons. What have you learned from your life’s lessons? According to Sam Thiara, life’s lessons “. . . is about helping them (youths) appreciate 'who' they are over 'what' they will do and how they need to activate the voice within to be louder than the noise around. “He had created the 'Five Core Elements', that will help you establish a foundational journey. He will also share his transition from high school to post-secondary as well as post-secondary to the corporate world. Listen to this professional who has created a personal journey as a storyteller, writer, workshop facilitator, problem solver, educator and entrepreneur. His goal is to engage individuals in their personal and professional development and was recognized by the Governor-General of Canada for his work in the hundreds of individuals he has mentored and the thousands he has engaged. Dr. Canute White had coined the term self-aweirdness in 2020 as he started his book called ‘Weird People Started: The art of self-aweirdness’. He believed that “Life is about people. Each of us was born and become life around, between, beside, and among people. People, you started to realize…were weird people. Including you” The book will become officially available in 2022. Self-aweirdness is defined by Dr. White as “the mental state of being aware of all aspects of weird behaviors that you have or continued to exhibit and taking responsibility for these behaviors.” Therefore, self – ‘aweirdness’ is not only about knowing that you are weird but also about being comfortable with your weirdness. Today, I talk with someone who is extremely self-aweird. If you think you are self-aweird send me an email at wradio668@gmail.com and let’s chat on Canyouth’s Exploration.

The COVID-19 pandemic had not speared the practices of organizational leadership and human resource activities as organizations had to be changed in response to the restrictive measures caused by the pandemic. The announcement of the COVID-19 as a pandemic by the World Health Organization has created a call for sudden readjustment for many organizations. These organizations have to re-strategize and re-think their goals to survive (White, 2020). Many of these organizations had to change operations from their traditional in-office method to digital technology merely for the protection of their employees, potential employees, and other external customers (Johns Hopkins University, 2020). Canyouth’s Exploration talked with a human resource executive from St. Lucia, Juliana Samuel: Senior manager, operations manager, lifestyle advisor, and UWI facilitator. How has the pandemic changed organizational leadership? What will HR practices look like post-pandemic? How will the pandemic change the face of organizational leadership? What do you need to do now to ensure you are still employable after the pandemic? Get answers to those questions and more!

It is not only Black History Month, but we are also celebrating Valentine's Day 2021. What better way to combine BHM with VD than to look at Famous Black Couples? Zeba Blay, a cultural writer, in a Black Voices article dated 2/11/2016, stated that black love can be beautiful, inspiring, and radical. Yes, there is a radiance of beauty to behold with challenges as black loves can be radical with a taste of angry, mistrust, and misunderstanding. There is also an inspiration as one watched the real-life episodes of some famous black couples. Blay suggested that during the relationship struggles in the lives of these famous black lovers, they have overcome through endurance and support for each other. That's the inspiring aspect of black loves amidst the radical overtones. Blay looked at several famous black couples and we had done more research on these couples to bring you this episode. visit Instagram @canyouthsexploration visit our website at www.canyouthsexploration.com. After the 2020 presidential elections in the United States, many of us waited with bated breath for the inauguration of the country's 46th president, Joe Biden, and vice president, Kamala Harris. Despite the challenges preceding January 20, 2021; the inauguration ceremony was successful. Success may be relative to the lens of the viewers; however, it was entertaining and easily displayed a proportion of the traditional show. As a Caribbean immigrant, this sort of political transition of power is unusual as it was more extravagant than the transition in Jamaica. Indeed, such extravagance would not have been expected from a small country like Jamaica. Naturally, the COVID-19 pandemic had forced the suspension of more elaborate displays and post-event pleasantries. Anyway, it was a great function. Therefore, the inauguration was important because of its display of bipartisanship and entertainment.

How can we participate in sport/games as spectators, audience or players if we must maintain distances of 6 feet or more, wash our hands and suppressed shouts of competitiveness with a mask covering our mouth? The question is whether we are being protected from sport or sport being protected from us? Let's say “Sports, Tested COVID Positive”. That is the topic for this episode of Canyouth's Exploration, ‘your topic in a podcast'. Our guest had dabbled into sports journalism; therefore, she understands the impact of the pandemic on the lives of sports in Jamaica and other parts of the world. Sport is as universal as the COVID-19 pandemic. However, is the pandemic affecting sport differently in different parts of the world? If the Cambridge Dictionary defined sport as a game, competition, or activity needing physical effort and skill that is played or done according to rules, for enjoyment and/or as a job, then, can sport dies from COVID-19?
