She writes "The Parent-Teacher Conference" advice column for The New York Times, is a contributing writer to The Atlantic is a commentator for Vermont Public Radio and wrote the book, The Gift of Failure: How the Best Parents Learn to Let Go So Their Children Can Succeed. Jessica currently teaches high school English and writing, and lives in New Hampshire with her husband and two sons.

Tony worked for the IRS from 1971 through 1986 out of various offices, including Newark, New Jersey, Office of International Operations in Washington, D.C., San Juan Puerto Rico, and Chicago, Illinois. He worked in what was then known as the Collection Division and performed the duties of a Revenue Officer and Group Manager, including 2½ years as Chief of several sections of the Special Procedures Branch which handled many of the legal issues for the Collection Division.

Currently the Department Chair and Professor of WIU's LEJA Program, Jill Myers earned her bachelor’s degree from Millersville State University in Pennsylvania in 1975 and her juris doctorate in 1981 from the University of Baltimore Law School. Prior to joining the faculty at WIU, Professor Myers spent 21 years as a prosecutor in Baltimore City. While there, she was the division chief of the special investigations unit, which targeted and prosecuted violent drug trafficking organizations by employing wire, electronic and oral surveillance techniques.
