As we finish the Acts series, we are reminded that the gospel is continuing to go out. As messengers of the gospel, we can preach the gospel unhindered by circumstance, because our God is faithful.
As Paul says goodbye to the elders in Ephesus and faces certain persecution in Jerusalem, his example reminds us that Jesus and his gospel are worthy of all our devotion.
Speaker: Patrick Rowe Series: Unhindered Scripture: Acts 20:17-38
Drastic change can come when the power of the gospel is seen in the lives of people—turning cities upside down. What might faith in Jesus cause us to confront in our own lives?
Speaker: Hans Googer Series: Unhindered: A Study in Acts Scripture: Acts 19:11-41
The message of the gospel never changes, but the way we talk about it changes based upon the audience. Acts 17 shows us how Paul communicated the truth of the gospel to a largely unbelieving (yet religious) crowd.
Speaker: Hans Googer Series: Unhindered: A Study in Acts Scripture: Acts 17:16-34
Believers will often be tempted to form converts into their own image. At the Jerusalem Council in Acts 15, we see the early church-state again that salvation comes by grace and through faith.
Speaker: Hans Googer Series: Unhindered: A Study in Acts Scripture: Acts 15:1-35
With the missionary journeys beginning, we see Paul and Barnabas with a long-term view gospel advancement among the unreached. What should we expect if we are to have the same perspective?
Speaker: Hans Googer Sermon Series: Unhindered Sermon Scriptures: Acts 13:1-3; Acts 14:1-28
The gospel crossing ethnic boundaries to the Gentiles was a significant shift in the Book of Acts. Even today, we must remember the the gospel is always for all people.
Too often parents place the wrong pressures on themselves. Fully devoted households love God first, teach their families about God, and live out life amongst the larger community of faith.
Saul's conversion is a significant moment in the Book of Acts. While certainly miraculous and memorable, every story of conversion matters because they are always miraculous.
Jesus' disciples need to be ready to bring the gospel to any place he calls and at any time he asks. Disciples should never underestimate what may come from their obedience.
As the church grew, new problems arose in how needs were being tended to. Rather than forsake preaching the gospel, the apostles worked with the congregation to be sure the gospel could be both proclaimed and demonstrated.
Speaker: Hans Googer Series: Unhindered Scripture: Acts 6:1-7
The early church in Acts was often selling and sharing their possessions for the sake of one another. However, being generous to gain status with the church will never be something God approves of.
Speaker: Hans Googer Series: Unhindered Scripture:Acts 5:1-11
The message of Jesus' resurrection changes lives—it attracts some and annoys others. Empowered by the Spirit, Christ's disciples can preach boldly regardless of their circumstances.
Speaker: Pastor Hans Googer Series: Unhindered Scripture: Acts 4:1-22
With the church having begun with the coming of the Spirit, we now see the habits they had and the harvest God brought. Along with this, we investigate how Genesis tries to live out these same habits.

Speaker: Pastor Hans Googer Series: Unhindered Scripture: Acts 2:1-41
Even after the resurrection, Jesus teaches his disciples about what is most important. Rather than get caught up in what onoly God knows, Jesus wants his disciples to focus on what is clear: Spirit-empowered mission to the world.
Speaker: Pastor Hans Googer Series: Unhindered Scripture: Acts 1:1-11
Following Jesus requires the power of the Holy Spirit. It's impossible to obey, enjoy, and glorify him in our own power and wisdom. That's an unnatural (hard) way to live, but Jesus is worth it!
Speaker: Pastor Patrick Rowe Series: The Word of Life Scripture: Matthew 7:13-14
Jesus expects his disciples to view and spend their earthly wealth in a way that helps people find and follow him. The reward for such work is experienced for all eternity.
Speaker: Pastor Hans Googer Series: The Word of Life Scripture: Luke 16:1-9
Jesus has power over the universe, yet his disciples often forget his power from one moment to the next.
Speaker: Hans Googer Series: The Word of Life Scripture: Mark 6:30-52
Jesus teaches his disciples to pray for God's will to be done as authoritatively on earth as it is done in heaven.
Speaker: Pastor Patrick Rowe Series: The Word of Life Scripture: Matthew 6:5-15
In his final words just before his death on the cross, Jesus declares victory over sin.

Noah is a central character of the Old Testament. Patrick preached Genesis 9 this last week and helped us see the major point of the text, which is that righteous people, saved by grace, are still sinful people.
Not that we are “just sinners,” but that righteous people do sin. And that magnifies grace to the glory of God. It continually reminds us that we need to be more and more like Jesus. It helps us from believing that we are awesome but that God is awesome.
It's the fact that, “Drunk Noah” was “Ark Noah." A righteous man, used by God, was drunk and naked, passed out in his tent.
In this week's show we talk about: - How can we identify heresy? - How can we get to the heart of our issues? - How to have a private faith and not just a public faith - How God’s will is to sanctify you - How to help you have assurance of salvation - Patrick sings a song…

The story of Noah’s ark can be easily twisted or misunderstood. But if we look through Gospel lenses we can see some key principles. Today I sat down with Patrick to talk about those fives points a little more in depth. We talk about:
In addition, with this coming week being Easter weekend, we use the first 15 minutes of our time to talk about Baptism. We are planning on Baptizing a few people this week and I wanted to ask Patrick about Baptism.

This week Patrick Rowe, lead teaching pastor of Genesis Community Church in Spring TX, talks about the three areas of focus for 2017.
These are nothing new to the Christian life but we desire to bring ourselves closer and closer to the life and teaching of Jesus and the early church. These questions stem from Patrick's sermon on Acts 2:42-47.

We have a heart for our church to know God’s Word. That’s why we are committed to sitting down with the teaching pastor each week and talking about the sermon text in more detail and in a more relaxed way.
Why does the Gospel require that we be reminded over and over again? Why do we forget who we used to be before Christ? Why is it so easy to downshift into a “works-righteousness” mentality with God?
These are just a few of the questions that Patrick and I got to talk about this week.
