10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
Part 3 of Pastor Zach's DNA series - Devoted to Impacting Our World With the Gospel 1 Thessalonians Chapter 1
1 Thessalonians 1:5-7 King James Version (KJV)
5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.
6 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.
7 So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
While Pastor Zach spends the holidays with his extended family Back East, Brother Mike delivers a strong message about how we can improve our relationship with Jesus in the coming years.
Romans 8: 3-4 King James Version (KJV)
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Philippians 2:5-8 King James Version (KJV)
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Galatians 4:1-7
4 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Luke 17:11-19
11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
Pastor Zach continues the sermon series on the Book of Nehemiah
10 Afterward I came unto the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who was shut up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to slay thee; yea, in the night will they come to slay thee.
11 And I said, Should such a man as I flee? and who is there, that, being as I am, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.

Nehemiah 6:1 Now it came to pass, when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and Geshem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies, heard that I had builded the wall, and that there was no breach left therein; (though at that time I had not set up the doors upon the gates;)
Nehemiah 6:2 That Sanballat and Geshem sent unto me, saying, Come, let us meet together in some one of the villages in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief.
Nehemiah 6:3 And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?
Nehemiah 6:4 Yet they sent unto me four times after this sort; and I answered them after the same manner.

Nehemiah - Chapter 2
1 And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Now I had not been beforetime sad in his presence. 2 Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore afraid, 3 And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers’ sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire? 4 Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven. 5 And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers’ sepulchres, that I may build it. 6 And the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time. 7 Moreover I said unto the king, If it please the king, let letters be given me to the governors beyond the river, that they may convey me over till I come into Judah; 8 And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which appertained to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me. 9 Then I came to the governors beyond the river, and gave them the king's letters. Now the king had sent captains of the army and horsemen with me. 10 When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly that there was come a man to seek the welfare of the children of Israel. 11 So I came to Jerusalem, and was there three days. 12 And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me; neither told I any man what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem: neither was there any beast with me, save the beast that I rode upon. 13 And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon well, and to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire. 14 Then I went on to the gate of the fountain, and to the king's pool: but there was no place for the beast that was under me to pass. 15 Then went I up in the night by the brook, and viewed the wall, and turned back, and entered by the gate of the valley, and so returned. 16 And the rulers knew not whither I went, or what I did; neither had I as yet told it to the Jews, nor to the priests, nor to the nobles, nor to the rulers, nor to the rest that did the work. 17 Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach. 18 Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work. 19 But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn, and despised us, and said, What is this thing that ye do? will ye rebel against the king? 20 Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.
On Sept. 8, 2019, Haven Baptist Church welcomed guest speaker Toby Weaver, of West Coast Bible College, to deliver the sermon entitled, "What Will You Leave at The Cross."
John 19:16-18 King James Version (KJV) 16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away. 17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: 18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
Nehemiah 1:1-11
1 The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace, 2 That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem. 3 And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire. 4 And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven, 5 And said, I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments: 6 Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father's house have sinned. 7 We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses. 8 Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations: 9 But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there. 10 Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand. 11 O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king's cupbearer.
Psalms 2:
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. 6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. 7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. 8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. 9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. 10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. 11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Psalm 2:1-4 1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. 4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things: 22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts. 23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
Ephesians 6:18-20 --
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Pastor Zach continues his preaching on Psalm Chapter 1, speaking on the nature of good and evil, setting before us life and death, the blessing and the curse, that we may take the right way which leads to happiness and avoid that which will certainly end in our misery and ruin. The different character and condition of godly people and wicked people, those that serve God and those that serve him not, is here plainly stated in a few words.
There is no Gospel awakening without a revived church and there is no revived church without revived believers. What would a revived believer look like? Pastor Zach outlines the revival in the life of a Christian and what it looks like based on the Word of God found in Psalm Chapter 1.
In Part 2 of the "Stand" series, Pastor Zach places a special emphasis on putting on and making use of the whole armor of God.; not merely the single pieces of the armor as described in Ephesians 6, but rather the whole or complete armor of God is put on, which is then used for the resistance to the devil.
In Part One of this new series, titled "Stand -- Victory in the Battle," Pastor Zach explains that as believers we must hold our ground as we fight against the pressures of the enemy.
God’s will for your life is to live for His glory, no matter if you’re a pastor or a painter, a missionary or a school teacher, an evangelist or an architect. In "Christians at Work," Pastor Zach reviews Ephesians 6:5-9, in which he describes how Paul gave specific instructions to children and fathers, stressing obedience and patience, respectively. He also directed servants to serve with sincerity and good intentions, as if they were working for Christ. Masters were warned not to be harsh: the same God who judges all will not give them preference over those they supervised.
Ephesians 5:18-21 What is Biblical Worship? Is it a scheduled gathering of the church? Is it the time when we sing songs together as a church family? How does God's Word define what we call worship? In this message, our pastor uses Ephesians 5:18-21 to give a biblical definition of worship.
A message from Ephesians 5:22-6:4.
Look at the erosion of the home in our culture — dysfunctional marriages, dysfunctional parenting, etc. But there is hope! When you do things God’s way, you get God’s intended results. In this sermon, Pastor Zach takes a deep dive into what God intended your home to look like.
In the Third and final part of the series A Match Made in Heaven, guest speaker Pastor Stephen Pope reveals the nature of marriage in describing the concept of One Flesh. That men and women become “one flesh” suggests an exchange of soul and indicates something of the psychological depth of the marital union. Marriage ideally produces two people who are as much the same person as two people can be -- Christians in marriage have the same Lord, the same family, the same children, the same future and the same destiny.
In Part 2 of the series A Match Made in Heaven, Pastor Zach Pope describes the role of the Christ-like husband. Ephesians 5:25-30. Paul's letter to the church at Ephesis addresses a number of questions about the nature of the husband's relationship to the wife. The overall theme emphasizes that life decisions need not be difficult and complicated for followers of the teachings of Jesus Christ. Indeed, life is much clearer with the guidelines of Jesus.
In this portion of Paul's letter to the Ephesians, note his challenge to married couples. An all-wise, loving God originated marriage and so He can tell us how He designed it and how we must live in it if we want His blessing. In Part 1 of the series A Match Made in Heaven, Pastor Zach Pope describes the role of the Christ-like wife.
John 21:1-22 | Guest Speaker: Tyler King While Jesus' followers abandoned Him on His darkest day, He continued to provide for them, continued to care for them, and once again, extended His call to them. Jesus is the "same yesterday and forever"... He still provides. He still cares. He still calls.
Ephesians 5:1-10 The word “followers” means “an imitator, one who follows an example, to mimic”. Why do overcomplicate what God has made so simple? Someone says, "I’m really struggling in my life right now, what should I do? Listen to God’s voice, see how God lived His life, follow his commands+example." The problem for many of us, is that we want to do things our way in stead of God’s way and still expect to live the victorious Christian life. It won’t work! Paul says if you want to live pleasing lives to God, follow His example, imitate his life, mimic His actions!
Ephesians 4:17-32 At Haven, we’re not trying to create an environment that feels like just another cool venue to attend, we want to establish an environment where, as people respond to the message of salvation through Jesus Christ, they feel as if they have joined up with a family… and not an average family where selfishness and anger and bitterness rule the day—rather, a family that loves, forgives, serves, and cares for one another! How do we do that? In Ephesians 4, Paul gives the church some practical principles to implement as a church to shape a environment where we can say with confidence as they walk through the door: “YOU BELONG”!
Ephesians 4:7-16 At Haven, we’re not trying to create an environment that feels like just another cool venue to attend, we want to establish an environment where, as people respond to the message of salvation through Jesus Christ, they feel as if they have joined up with a family… and not an average family where selfishness and anger and bitterness rule the day—rather, a family that loves, forgives, serves, and cares for one another! Ephesians 4:1-7 At Haven, we’re not trying to create an environment that feels like just another cool venue to attend, we want to establish an environment where, as people respond to the message of salvation through Jesus Christ, they feel as if they have joined up with a family… and not an average family where selfishness and anger and bitterness rule the day—rather, a family that loves, forgives, serves, and cares for one another! How do we do that? In Ephesians 4, Paul gives the church some practical principles to implement as a church to shape a environment where we can say with confidence as they walk through the door: “YOU BELONG”!
Ephesians 3:14-21 John Goetsch said, “Prayer connects our poverty to God's Power”. In Psalm 55:16-17, David said “As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.”. Can God come through with these things that Paul is requesting? Paul answer’s the question: He “is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think”! Someone may ask: Why are You Praying? Our answer: HE’S ABLE!
Ephesians 3:1-13 God chose to reveal the mysteries of salvation through Christ, and the singleness in the church to Paul. As a result, Paul had a three-fold responsibility in ministry: (1) Preach Christ. (2) Make Disciples. (3) Glorify God. As a man who was previously steeped in religion, Paul's message was simple: Through faith in Christ, we can enter into a relationship with God.
Ephesians 2:11-22 If Jesus Christ “is our peace”, then, why is it that the churches seem to have become bastions of division and disunity? I’ll tell you why—our relationship with each other is, in many ways, indicative of our relationship to God! 1 John 4:20-21 says “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.”. YOU CAN’T BE RIGHT WITH GOD AND WRONG WITH MAN!
Acts 17:1-17 Our two-fold purpose for life is to (1) Experience God's Glory-To engage in a vibrant relationship with God. (2) Express God's Glory-To evangelize the world by sharing the good news of Salvation through Jesus Christ. While this "fire" seems to be burning brightly at the beginning our faith journey, "the tendency of a fire is that it GOES OUT". Sometimes, along this journey, we need God to "stir" our hearts-to renew our burden for both our relationship with Him, but also our reach for Him.
Ephesians 1:13-14 "You Say" is all about learning that when we trust in Jesus Christ for salvation, we are given a BRAND NEW IDENTITY "in Christ". This doesn't mean that all of the other sources of my identity disappear(Personal, Professional, Planned, Private), rather, that my POSITIONAL IDENTITY(my new identity in Christ) is where I begin.
Ephesians 1:8-12 "You Say" is all about learning that when we trust in Jesus Christ for salvation, we are given a BRAND NEW IDENTITY "in Christ". This doesn't mean that all of the other sources of my identity disappear(Personal, Professional, Planned, Private), rather, that my POSITIONAL IDENTITY(my new identity in Christ) is where I begin.
Ephesians 1:7 "You Say" is all about learning that when we trust in Jesus Christ for salvation, we are given a BRAND NEW IDENTITY "in Christ". This doesn't mean that all of the other sources of my identity disappear(Personal, Professional, Planned, Private), rather, that my POSITIONAL IDENTITY(my new identity in Christ) is where I begin.
Ephesians 1:1-6 "You Say" is all about learning that when we trust in Jesus Christ for salvation, we are given a BRAND NEW IDENTITY "in Christ". This doesn't mean that all of the other sources of my identity disappear(Personal, Professional, Planned, Private), rather, that my POSITIONAL IDENTITY(my new identity in Christ) is where I begin.
1 Corinthians 12:1-31 Psalm 133:1 says “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”. That word “unity” means “a unit, union”. It doesn’t mean that we will all be identical in everything we do, it just means that we can embrace diversity without being divided. It means that we embrace the role that God has given me and fulfill that role while being completely comfortable with my brother or sister who have been placed in a completely different role… why? Because we are ultimately A UNIT—WE ARE UNITED AS ONE—heading in the same direction. Paul challenged the church in Ephesus—“…walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”(Ephesians 4:1-3)
1 Thessalonians 1:1-10 DNA is defined as "The fundamental and distinctive characteristics or qualities of someone or something". At Haven, our DNA-our fundamental and distinctive quality- is that we are UNITED by our Faith in Jesus Christ, PASSIONATE about our relationship with God, and DEVOTED to impacting our world with the Gospel.
This series of messages is intended to clearly define the purpose statement of Haven Baptist Church.
Ephesians 4:1-16 DNA is defined as "The fundamental and distinctive characteristics or qualities of someone or something". Acts 2:1-46 DNA is defined as "The fundamental and distinctive characteristics or qualities of someone or something". 1 Peter 5:1-11 Our enemy, Satan, is always looking for an upper hand. He is always innovating and looking for new ways to get the upper hand in our lives. He is currently crafting “devices” that will serve the purpose of getting an “advantage” over you—eliminating your walk with God—eliminating your service to God—eliminating your witness for God.
So what can we possibly do to avoid these devices that could potentially destroy us? In this message, our pastor suggests four Scriptural ways that we can be "delivered from his devices".
Luke 2:1-20 Adrian Rogers said "Salvation is not a reward for the righteous; it is a gift for the guilty. Salvation is not a goal to be achieved; it is a gift to be received.” When we stood condemned and deserving of judgment, God sent us A SAVIOR—JESUS CHRIST! He made salvation(deliverance/rescue) available to all who will believe!

Mark 12:28-34 The Bible is a book marked by mission—primarily, the mission of God leaving Heaven, coming to Earth to live a perfect life, and give His life on the cross to provide salvation for mankind. But, it is also a book marked by the mission of those who have been saved faithfully carrying the message of salvation from their homes and churches into their local communities and around the world.
In this series, we praying that God would move Haven Baptist Church—this local representation of the Body of Christ in Santa Clarita— “into action”, fulfilling the great commission, not looking to be served, but selflessly serving the needs our community!

Romans 12:17-21 “Ministry” is the aspect of our church family where we each individual uses their unique spiritual gift to maximize the functionality of our church body. Just as each individual member of your physical body has a unique and important function, God places unique people with distinct gifts into the “body”—the church—that provide maximum functionality.
Maximum Gospel impact on our community will only happen as each member embraces their individual roles in the body.

Acts 4:23-37 While it is important for a local church to be "One Body"(each member using their unique gift for the maximum function of the body), a body without "one soul" is divided and dysfunctional, and a body without "one heart" is dead and disabled in their purpose. How can we be "One Body" with "One Heart" and "One Soul"? CORPORATE PRAYER>CLEAR PURPOSE>CONCERNED PEOPLE>COURAGEOUS POWER

Acts 2:46-47 The reality is... we need each other more than just once or twice a week. While we live in a money-driven, fast-paced, extremely busy society that has led most of us to have very little time for genuine interaction with others(including our immediate family, much less, our church family), we would do well to follow the example given by the first church to intentionally carve out time to invest in our church family on a ‘daily’ basis.
Acts 2:44-45 What exactly does Scripture mean when it informs us that this church “had all things common”? The word “common”(koinos) means “to be shared by all; belonging to generality”. If this church’s community(koinōnia-fellowship) consisted of revelation(that is, communicating with an open heart), it was followed by SPIRIT-FILLED response. (Communicating with open hands) This was not a religious form of communism-the church leadership was not forcing the congregation to meet these needs, it was community-they were seeing the need and meeting it voluntarily.
Acts 2:41-43 In this series, we move forward together into the next facet of our purpose statement: Community Groups. This step really takes us beyond the dangerous possibility of hiding behind the crowd, the structure, and the formalities of our Sunday gatherings into an intentional time where we engage and interact on a common and transparent level. Sadly, many believers never get to know each other beyond their brief interaction with one another for a hour or two on Sundays. As we will see in Scripture, this was clearly not God’s intention.
1 Thessalonians 4:7-17 While we always want our worship gatherings to be encouraging, we must remember that our ultimate goal for coming together is to get a clear view of Jesus Christ. For, when we see Him in His Word, it will reveal the glory of His nature and it will also reveal some changes that need to be made within each of our lives.
1 Thessalonians 4:1-6 Sadly, many church gatherings have become public platforms for individuals to parade their self-righteousness when, in all reality, church was intended to be a place of acceptance and transparency where imperfect people could come together, acknowledging our imperfections, faults, and failures, focusing on the perfection of Christ, and growing in(perfecting)their relationship with God.
Hebrews 13:1-16 It is from the foundation of the Gospel—The good news—That God loves us and has provided a way of Salvation it is from this reality that we now offer our sacrifices of praise to His name! It is important to understand that, in Old Testament times, only the priests were allowed to enter into the tabernacle and offer sacrifices to God on the behalf of the people. But now, because of our faith in Jesus, believers have been made priests… that is, we have unique ACCESS into the presence of God because of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:5;9)
Quote: “In praising a creature, we may easily exceed the truth; but in praising God we have only to go on confessing what He really is to us. Hence it is impossible to exceed the truth, and here is genuine praise.” (JFB)
One of the primary responsibilities of the man who is chosen to be the pastor(bishop—overseer) of the church is to faithfully stand and preach the truth of the Word of God. THE MAIN REASON why we gather on Sundays is for the preaching(kēryssō—proclamation) of the Word. Expositional preaching that strictly follows the original context of Scripture will help ground the church in sound doctrine and keep us from drifting away into false teaching. Martin Lloyd Jones said "Preaching the Word is the primary task of the Church, the primary task of the leaders of the Church; and we must not allow anything to deflect us from this.”
1 Timothy 6:1-19 GENUINE SURRENDER DOESN’T SET LIMITATIONS! Jesus said in Matthew 22:36, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”. Stewardship is all about understanding that the resources I have today(which includes my money) are given to me by God and He has a specific purpose and reason for giving me these various resources. Here’s an important question: Am I living within the parameters of His plan and purpose?
Acts 8:26-40 True, lasting Joy is only accessible as we learn to daily surrender our desires and submit to the Lordship of Christ through the leadership of the Holy Spirit, for the sole purpose of the glory of God. While Scripture is clear that baptism is not a part of the process of salvation, it is the first step of obedience for the believer, the first response of the one who has experienced the new life that comes through faith in Christ alone.

Ecclesiastes 3:15-22 The world has taught us to believe that happiness and satisfaction come from excelling in our careers, becoming famous, acquiring more stuff, etc. The reality: While there is nothing wrong with these things, making these the end goal in life will only leave you empty and wanting more.
