Five life lessons learned in 2020:
Life is too short to worry about small things and small people. Don't get caught up in negativity because it always makes matters worse. Gather around those that you love and cherish every moment that you have with them because you never know when it will be you last. Take time to acknowledge and appreciate regular everyday people who exhibit extraordinary strength and courage because everyone is essential. The character of a person is seen during times of adversity. When you are squeezed what comes out? Take care of yourself by eating healthy, excersing, and getting plenty of rest because you are all you have control over.

On this special Think Hope Podcast, Hopeologist Dr. Rosalind Tompkins and the Christ Vision Tribe look at the issue of reopening schools as the State of Florida has issued an emergency order mandating that all schools in the state open for in-person learning in August. This order comes as Florida has become the coronavirus epicenter averaging over 10,000 new cases a day through much of July.
Hopeologist Rosalind shares an interview with her daughter, Janar Shenale Holloway, a ten-year first grade teacher in Leon County Schools in Florida. Mrs. Holloway shares her concerns as both a teacher and parent of three children, two of which are students in the public-school system. Dr. Rosalind also shares a brief interview with her eleven-year old granddaughter, Tayla Holloway to hear her thoughts.
In the midst of it all we believe that there is hope for the coronavirus pandemic that is still sweeping the land and it is not found in politics but in the Word of God. Hopeologist Rosalind and the Christ Vision Tribe members share Psalms of hope for students, parents, and teachers who are caught up in this very real dilemma. Throughout the ages people from all walks of life have found comfort and safety in the Psalms found in the Bible. As you listen to this powerful episode receive hope and help to make it through these challenging times.
Hopeologist Dr. Rosalind Tompkins has a hope chat with her daughter Janar Shenale Holloway about the deaths of George Flyod and other black men and women killed by police officers and the concerns that she has a black mother of a son and two daughters. Protests around the nation and world are continuing in the wake of the murder of George Floyd on May 25, 2020 in Minneapolis, Minnesota after a white police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for almost nine minutes while Floyd was handcuffed and lying face down on the street.
In this powerful and impactful episode Hopeologist Rosalind and the Christ Vision Tribe discuss issues surrounding these deaths from a biblical perspective and solutions that every mother and father can take to protect their children and to bring change to the world. Read the Blog, "Hope Says It Has Not Happened Yet."

On this special Thanksgiving Think Hope Podcast, Dr. Rosalind Tompkins and her guests share how giving thanks brings hope no matter what you are going through. She also shares how to give thanks and unleash hope to move forward in life.
Hope has been said to be pregnant expectancy. In Hebrews 11:1, the Bible states, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (KJV). It is so important to hope until you cannot have faith without it. Hope will give you a reason to get up in the morning and continue to press on. Hope will give you a reason not to give up and to try again even after you fail. Hope will heal your disappointments and cover your failures because with hope, there is always tomorrow. Hope speaks to your future while in the midst of your today, and hope will propel you into your tomorrow's destiny.
Even in the midst of trouble, hope can be your way out. In the Book of Hosea 2:15, the Bible states, And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt” (KJV). The expression valley of Achor became proverbial for that which caused trouble. The valley of Achor for a door of hope; i.e., trouble would be turned into joy, and despair into hope.
When we sing and give thanks even in the midst of our trouble, God will turn trouble into joy, but you must access it through the door of hope. Thanksgiving allows you walk through the door of hope, and come into the place of trust and faith in God to know that He has you in the palm of His hands and that trouble won’t last always.

I was going through some issues of life and HOPE dwelled in me. But after going through life coaching, mentorship, and seminary school with Dr Tompkins, now I dwell in HOPE. I live there, HOPE is my home. Being a citizen has its privileges. As a citizen of HOPE, I can browse the HOPE UNIVERSE website at any time to keep abreast of events, resources, great HOPE thoughts, interviews, poetry, mission trips/projects. Stars are a universal symbol of hope.
Stars of Hope
Hope is like the stars shining through the darkness of night providing light to navigate through tough times, hope continues to shine. I see Saturn and Pluto and then I know that as I look at the stars I’m looking at the substance that God used to make man from His hand, star dust, in Him I trust.
As I look at the stars, I see myself shining through the darkness of night and I know that I will be alright. I see others shining along side of me together as it was meant to be. A convoy of hope to help others find their way through the darkness of night. Hanging tight, hope is the light turning darkness into day!
