Big Idea - We always have hope in Christ. We are called to Stand Firm in this life, knowing that we have Hope in something so much greater to come.
Run from legalism. Don’t lose hope. Keep running the race.
Big Idea - When we are weak He is strong. We trust and lean on His strength to see us through anything we go through in life.
Are you maturing in your faith? We can stand firm in God’s promise. You are free in Christ.
Big Idea - Jesus and His death on the cross gives us freedom and liberty in Christ and has set us free from the bondage and chains of sin.
Keep looking forward not backwards. Your outward activity can never take the place of you inner working. Love deeply the people that are in need of Jesus.

Big Idea - Through Christ we have the opportunity to be called sons of God. With that comes an amazing inheritance because we have been adopted into His family.
Hebrews 12:28-29 Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.

Big Idea - God is faithful to His promises and Christ is the promise of everlasting life.

Big Idea: Paul addresses that it is not through the law that we are saved but by Faith. His message is to those who have a tendency to look backward and not forward.
Galatians 3:10-14 Salvation by faith alone. Christ has redeemed you. Tell the world what Christ has done for you
Big Idea - In an ever changing world, we are reminded not to fear and yet have Faith just as the shepherds did on the night the angels came to them. Luke 2:8-20 Fear Not, the Lord is with you. The Lord brings Good News of Great Joy. May we respond in obedience as the shepherds did.
Hebrews 2:18 says this, “For in that He Himself has suffered under temptation, He is able to help those dealing with temptation.

Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts nor are my ways your ways, declares the Lord. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth so are My thoughts than your thoughts and My ways your ways.”

Big Idea: The hope of Jesus was needed then and it’s needed now more than ever. This Christmas season let’s be looking for Jesus.
Psalm 8:3 says “When I look at your heavens the work of your fingers.”
Exodus 13:3 says, “Moses said to the people, remember this day in which you came out of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, for by a strong hand the Lord brought you out of this place.
We need to lean on the strong arm of the Lord. Jesus would come in perfect humility. We put Him on the cross. Does Jesus have a home in your heart?
Big Idea - The grace of God and our faith in Christ is what allows us to be Justified. The amazing gift of God, that we can have our sins washed away. Galatians 2:15-21 We are not saved by our works. We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ. Let Christ live in you.
Big Idea - Because of the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross, we have Freedom. No longer bound to the law. People today are longing for acceptance. God makes it clear that we should reach anyone and everyone for Jesus Christ. Let’s accept others as Christ has accepted us. Mark Batterson said “Religion is spelled do. The Gospel is spelled done.”
Big Idea - God is still in the business of changing lives for eternity. Paul is the perfect example of that. He persecuted the Church, the Bride of Christ, and yet Jesus changed his life and he would become a mighty weapon in the hands of God. There’s hope for us all.
Your story is a mighty weapon for the Kingdom of God. God’s grace is more incredible than we can imagine. God will meet you where you are and change your eternity.
We need to stand firm on the Word of God. There is no other Gospel. Please God not man. Ephesians 4:11-14

Big Idea - As we look to our community where God has placed us how can we continue to
Romans 12:1-8
We’re called to sacrifice.
Do not conform to this world, instead follow God’s will.
Use your gifts for the Glory of God.
Big Idea - Paul challenges us to think like Christ does and even goes so far as to challenge us to have the same mind as Christ.
Philippians 2:1-11
A unified church is a blessing to the community.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition.
Christ humbled himself for you and me.
What a privilege to know that we can abide in Him and He is us.
John 15:5 says “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me and I in him will bear much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”
What a privilege that we can be a part of what God is doing.
What a privilege that we can have peace.
Big Idea: One of the greatest ways to loving the city of Brandon well is by being the example in loving each other well.
1 Peter 4:7-11
Live with an expectant attitude toward the return of Christ.
Acts. 1:10-11 “And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes and said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
Let’s be the example in the way we love one another.
Let our love drive us to serve.
Big Idea - As we think about Brandon, we have to realize our neighbor extends to those we love and those that we might find difficult to love.
Luke 10:25-37
Do for one what you wish you could do for many.
Are we willing to sacrifice our time and our finances?
Christ has given everything for us all.
Big Idea - We are called right here right now. Jesus wants our focus to be in our home and in our city.
Christian, just do your job
The Church receives its power from the Holy Spirit not form man
We are to be witnesses at home and around the world
Big Idea: Share vision and theme for the upcoming year on sharing the love of Christ here in Brandon. “Desperately pursuing Jesus and bringing everyone with us.”
Reach. Disciple. Send.
We are to love the Lord our God with all our heart. We are to love our neighbor as ourself. Let’s pray “For Brandon”
Big Idea: A fresh and new start. Lazarus going from Death to Life, Jesus’ miracle was a massive picture of what was to come.
John 11:38-44
Remove the barriers.
Refocus your Faith.
Matthew 17:20 “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
Revive us O Lord.
Big Idea - Job literally lost everything he had worked for. We can learn a lot from Job in the season we are in, he lost it all but still worshipped. Remember that Satan has a significant number of limitations. Let our suffering always be for the glory of God. It’s time for a Fresh Start in our worship.
Big Idea - It’s time to take a deeper look at our prayer lives. Let’s start praying more and with more zeal, because the Lord hears and answers our prayers. Jesus says ask and it will be given to you.

Jesus says knock and it will be opened. Jesus says God is a good Father ready to give good gifts.
“Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4

Commit to a time and place for daily prayer. Don’t give up when it gets hard, start again. Set up reminders and accountability.
The office of Elder is a noble task. An Elder is to be above reproach. An Elder is to be the husband of one wife. An Elder is to live a Godly life. An Elder is to manage his own household well. An Elder cannot be a new Christian. An Elder must be well thought of.
Big Idea - The Lord has known you before He formed you in the womb and has a great plan for your life.
God is completely aware of your situation.

The Lord chose you for such as time as this.
No more excuses it’s time for a fresh start.
Big Idea: When it feels like you’ve been forgotten, when it seems like God is not hearing your prayers, we can hold on to the fact that He is still with you.
Have you ever been rejected before?
You say you’re done, He says He’s just getting started.
You say you can’t, He says He can.

The Lord never grows tired or weary
The Lord gives power to the faint.
2 Corinthians 12:8-10 “Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
Those who wait will renew their strength.
Big Idea - As we launch into a new phase and journey, we need to look at things so differently. Fresh eyes to see what God sees.
2 Corinthians 12:1-10.
We need fresh eyes to see our circumstances
We need fresh eyes to appreciate our tests
“A test from God is never meant to break you down, it’s always meant to build you up. A faith that cannot be tested is a faith that cannot be trusted.” - Robby Gallaty
We need fresh eyes to boast in our weaknesses
1 Corinthians 2:9 “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind can conceive what God has prepared for those who love Him.”
Big Idea - The Lord has promised to provide every follower of Christ strength through any and every season they are in.
Church we need each other
Let us be satisfied in every circumstance
He has promised us strength
Colossians 3:2 “Set your mind on the things above not on the things of this earth.” Don’t be persuaded by the doubters God’s timing is always perfect Jesus will one day come back for us
The Lord has given us a sufficient sacrifice
In Isaiah 59:1-2 “Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save; or his hear dull, that it cannot hear; but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he does not hear.”
Jesus is the priest and the king that we need
Our sins are covered forevermore
John 10:27-28 “My sheep listen to my voice, I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life and they shall never perish. No one can snatch them out of my hand.”
Big Idea: When we go through difficult times such as the one we are in, we hold on to the promise that God is building us up.
Count it all joy as we face trials
The Lord is working on us through the trials we face
The Lord will take care of all our needs
The Lord will personally articulate those things in a believer’s life that must be repented of before gaining a renewed heart.
You can always trust that God will be faithful because God always comes through on His promises.
- When God comes through, it may not be what we expect.
- God may not come through when we expect.
Remain thankful in all circumstances Remain thankful that He is God Remain thankful for all that God has done for you Remain thankful for the LORD’s goodness
Hope rises through some of the most insignificant people in history in order for God to receive all the praise!
The journey you're on may not make sense, but the hope that rises in Jesus give us the strength to hold on.
