When does the sun stand still? When God fights for His people. We need to stand intentionally in the blood of Jesus. There is no hope for those on the front line unless there are those interceding for them. Beth Coppedge teaches from Joshua 10 in lesson 9 of 9 in this Bible study on the book of Joshua.
Beware of prayerlessness. That's when the enemy can come in. The Gibeonites came in deceptively and the Israelites were not even aware of it. We must be aware of the wiles of the enemy. If you are burdened to pray--then stop and pray. It's ok to just say, "I don't know yet" and then take it to God. Pray to get God's mind. Beth Coppedge shares from Joshua 8 & 9 in lesson 8 of 9.
The Israelites don't pray about the battle with Ai. There is a self-confidence and a lack of gratitude and a prayerlessness in their lives after their victory at Jericho. Beware of beginning in the Spirit and then moving into the flesh. We need to always depend on Jesus. Beware of the self-confidence that comes in after a major spiritual victory. We need to always depend on Jesus. We must always keep praying! Beth Coppedge teaches lesson 7 of 9 from chapter 7 of Joshua.
Why did God have the Israelites walk around Jericho 13 times? So they could see the reality that they could not do anything unless God was going to help. The work of God is not done by me and my self-effort. There's nothing we can do to move a "Jericho"-only God. Beth Coppedge teaches from Joshua 6 in lesson 6 of 9.
The people of Jericho were terrified of the Israelites. They were aware of the Israelite's God. Do people around us know of the God we serve through our life? We must surrender everything to God. We can't hold anything back. God promises to go before us. We must trust this. Let God explode Himself in us so we can share Him with others. God is asking for our abandonment to Him. Is it costly? Yes! Does it hurt? Yes! Is it worth it? Yes!
Beth Coppedge teaches from Joshua 5:5-24 in session 5 of 9 Bible study lessons on the book of Joshua
Will we say yes and follow God no matter what? Will we leave our self-effort? Will we abandon everything for Jesus? Beth Coppedge teaches from Joshua 3 & 4. The Israelites are getting ready and prepared to cross the Jordan River. The river is at flood stage. God wants us to have faith in the impossible situations.
Are we willing to press on? Rahab believed God and put her faith into action. We need to live with God-sized faith. Will we take a risk for God? Rahab stands in the gap for herself and for all of her family. Will we do this?
Beth Coppedge shares from Joshua 2:5-24 in lesson 3 of 9 in this Bible study from the book of Joshua.
Beth Coppedge shares from Joshua 1:1-11, 16-18. God speaks to Joshua and He will speak to us on a daily basis too. God's call to Joshua is not to stay where he is but to cross the Jordan. He has more for Joshua. God promises Joshua provision, protection and His presence. We can trust that what God calls us to He will provide for us. Sit quietly in God's presence and let Him teach you.
"Just keep on keeping on." Beth Coppedge begins this 9 week study on the book of Joshua sharing from Joshua 1-10, Acts 12 and Deuteronomy 1. The Israelites rebelled. They didn't believe God even though He guided them. Will I believe God? Will I begin to make myself available to God? Am I sleeping when I need to be awake. Beth encourages us to not give up praying and to keep holding on. She reminds us to keep interceding for others.
Am I willing to take a risk for God? Am I willing to launch out into the deep? The Israelites left Egypt with boldness but as they journeyed they did not believe God and they failed to obey Him. We must believe and trust God. Beth Coppedge finishes her teaching from the book of Numbers examining chapters 33 and 36. Questions to ask ourselves: Is Jesus a refuge for me? Is there a passion in my soul for the lost and for the world? Is God using me? Am I a fruit-bearing, fruit-producing Christian? Are people coming to Jesus because I am alive? Are people coming to Jesus because of my prayers? Am I salt and light in my neighborhood? Am I bringing people to Jesus and offering my home as a refuge for the lost? Am I experiencing the fullness of Jesus Christ? Am I possessed by Him? Am I claiming all His possessions for me? Am I finding Jesus as the refuge of my soul? Is He the refuge that has met every need of my heart?
We must not limit ourselves and stay on the wrong side of the Jordan. Beware of the enemy coming right when we are trying to cross over into the promised land to detract us. The tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh didn't want to cross the Jordan into the promised land. Later they were the first tribes to be annihilated. The greatest things God has for us are on the other side of the Jordan. Launch out into the deep. The safest and best place for us and our kids is in the full will of God. Are you willing to surrender yourself 100% to Gods' will? Will you forsake all and follow Jesus no matter what? Will you love Him and seek Him with all your heart?
Beth teaches about the daughters of Zelophehad. They wanted their inheritance and they asked for it. They asked for a possession in the promised land. They didn't want their father's name blotted out. Will we speak up? Will we intercede? Are we willing to be the point women to stand in the gap? Beth teaches that we need to hold on for our extended family and ask God how to pray for them. We must pray that our homes will be places that our extended family find God. Our challenge: Don't begin and then fall away with prayer. Keep on praying and persevering. No matter what keep praying! Numbers 26:33, 27:1-11, Joshua 17:3-6
Has God ever told you to do something but you didn't do it? Are you listening and obeying what God is saying to you? Beth Coppedge teaches from Numbers 22-25. Balaam didn't want to hear from God. We see in him a compromised heart. We must guard our hearts and not fall to the temptation of a compromised heart. We must guard our hearts with what we read and what we watch. We must guard our hearts with the internet and with relationships. We can't play with sin. Beth teaches that there needs to be a cleansing so that we don't miss out on anything Jesus has for us. Will you give all of yourself as a sacrificial love gift? Will you love Jesus with the love that He loves you? Pray this prayer: God please help me to will to obey you no matter what it costs!
Beth Coppedge teaches from Numbers 20-21 and John 3:14-16. We need to get our heart purified. Time does not make us better. In Numbers the Israelites are sounding like their complaining parents. We must ask ourselves: Have I died to my selfishness and self-will? We need to always seek God's face and beware of the insidiousness of sin. The call of God is costly.
Beth Coppedge teaching from Numbers 12, James 3:13-4:10 and Matthew 18:1-5 Moses is overwhelmed. He comes to God to share his stress. God hears him. Miriam and Aaron become jealous of Moses and begin complaining against him. They don't bring their stresses to God. God will meet you when you come to Him. He will come and meet you with Himself and He will meet you with a plan. Beware of sin. It breaks relationships and desensitizes us. God Himself will fight for you when you come to Him.
Beth Coppedge teaching from Numbers 11. The Israelites begin craving what they don't have. Then they have a memory problem. They don't remember their slavery and bondage and long to go back to Egypt. Beware of a complaining heart. Beware of not moving into the destiny God has for you. God has a plan for all of us and we must trust Him. Can you say: "I am all yours."?
Beth Coppedge teaches from Numbers 1-10 and shares that God calls us to go on a love adventure with Him. The Israelites see they have a God that communicates and gives them specific instructions. God takes a census to see who's on board. Are you on board? The camp is organized and the tabernacle is the center. Is God the center of your life? It's so easy in the busyness of life to lose Him. Duties were given. There was a division of the labor and everyone had a job to do. Do you know what God is calling you to do? Purity laws given. We can't be in a love relationship if we are not pure. Jesus wants to make us squeaky clean.
Beth Coppedge teaches that we must be women with an undivided heart. There is great value in one person with a clean heart. We must ask Jesus in prayer if our heart is undivided so God can use us to transform the world. God uses ordinary people and He is looking for those of us willing to stand in the gap. We need to be interceding for one another. While the battle rages and the need for prayer is great, do not grow weary. We must continue praying. We are in warfare. The enemy will try to distract us and overwhelm us. Continue to come to Jesus at all times. Never leave His side. CHALLENGE: Can you pray for one hour a day? Just start praying. Put Jesus first in word and deed and be willing to stand in the gap. Jeremiah 5:1, Isaiah 50, 59, 63, Ezekiel 22:30 and Matthew 18:18-20
Beth Coppedge shares about persevering teaching from 2 Peter 2 & 3. We must not take an easier life without the cross. We need to surrender our lives and go the way of the cross no matter what. We march to a different drumbeat. No matter what we will persevere. Are we willing to go or stay wherever God leads us? Are we willing to surrender control to God? There must be a narrowing of our interests to allow greater room for Jesus and to know Him more. Never compromise. Our greatest relationship is the one we have with Jesus Christ. God's divine power gives everything we need to live for Him.
Peter is reminding the believers in 2 Peter that Jesus has provided all we need for living a godly life. Can you say you are a bondservant of Christ and have surrendered everything to Him? A multiplication of grace and peace comes when we surrender. Will you make a commitment to love Jesus with ALL YOUR HEART?
Paul speaks in 1 Peter 5 telling the believers to stay strong and be prepared for outside pressures. Pray for one another. Stand in the gap and intercede for them. When we really love one another the world notices and there's a unity and strength to the body. "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7
Beth talks about the need to surrender fully to God's will. This is radical Christian living; the only Christian living written about in the New Testament. We are so in love with Jesus we are willing to pick up our cross and go the long road with Him no matter what it costs. You wake up in the morning and say, "Jesus, what do you have for me today?" As we walk with Jesus, we find that suffering is part of the life of faith. Beth Coppedge shares what is means to learn the beauty of loving Him even in sorrow.

People don't need to hear from you, they need to hear from Jesus. Ask the person, "What is Jesus saying to you?" Pray and ask Jesus which scriptures He wants you to use.
