We Invite You To Join Us On A Journey So many areas of life call for our attention. We see the activities of government, business, medicine, technology, entertainment, and our lives are impacted by them. Yet, in the core of our being, in the depth of our soul, we long for something more. Our hearts hope there’s something deeper, something real and reliable, something lasting. Perhaps you have felt this longing.
It is the Living God who calls us. Come know Me. Come follow Me. Come enjoy Me. This is our journey at Immanuel Baptist Church. We stumble, we struggle, we misunderstand. Yet God keeps calling and we know that what He offers is worth the next step.
Perhaps you hear the wonderful God of all creation calling to your heart. Maybe you’ve heard it loud and dramatic through a life-threatening event. Or maybe you’ve heard His soft whisper in the quiet of the night. Whatever your story, wherever you are on the journey, if you hear His call to your heart, we invite you to join us. Join us as we experience and celebrate truths like love, grace, mercy, forgiveness, joy, community, and eternal life.

Pastor Vince continues his teaching in 2 Samuel 10:6-19. “There are those that think God has fallen behind. There are those who think that God is irrelevant and that He is out of the race. There are those that think God only matters to religious people and that in the big picture God is not a realistic contender. But I want to assure you to keep your eyes on God. Not only does He win the race, but the entire race of the human race is being run in His stadium. God doesn’t only care about world news, but God cares about the race of my life.” Pastor Vince’s 3 sermon points are: seeing your battles – we need to see each other’s battles – see that the Lord is in your battle.
Pastor Vince continues to teach through his series of God’s Amazing Creation. His Scripture reference is Matthew 5:13. Pastor Vince begins a study on God’s magnificent creation and asks the following questions: “How does creation move you? What does it move you towards? To WHOM does it move you towards?” He uses Isaiah 40:28-31 as his Scripture foundation for this week’s teaching. When you focus on God’s creation, take time to discover, take time to be moved by what you see and take time to be loved by God. “As you are beholding it all, you can know
Pastor Vince concludes his teaching on 1 Thessalonians with Paul’s closing words and prayer for the church in Thessalonica. “When you hear Paul’s goodbye, you may also hear God’s hello.” Pastor Vince speaks of God’s work being calming, complete and current.
This Father’s Day, Pastor Vince takes a break from his teaching in 1 Thessalonians to teach on Nehemiah 3:28-29. He asks three questions: “Where are you located in life? Who do you love at your wall? What are you looking for?” It is an encouraging message to remind us that God has us right where He wants to use us. Are we allowing Him to work in and through us to accomplish His purpose?

Pastor Vince continues his teaching in 1 Samuel. “What is the most critical poll question for me regarding God? Perhaps it is: how confident am I in God’s ability? Through the example of Saul trying so hard to get his way in killing David, we see how God had His way. God is able. We can rest in the confidence that God will have His Way…and His will for us is best.
Pastor Vince continues his teaching in 1 Samuel 18. How do we respond to moments in life? Pastor Vince is not talking about the major moments. He is talking about the daily moments. Every moment is an opportunity that God gives us to keep our hearts soft to Him and to surrender our response to Him. Or we can allow those moments to allow us to become a grumbler. Will you respond to these moments like Pete the Cat or

Pastor Greg teaches from Psalm 86. This is a prayer of David. It is a desperate, urgent prayer of need. “God not only hears our words, but He also hears our hearts.”
Pastor Vince returns to his teaching in 1 Samuel and shares about the surprise party God had orchestrated for Saul. He then goes on to share how God desires to surprise us in our own lives every day…yet are we looking for it? “God wants to surprise us not just in eternity but today…He has so much for you in your daily lives that He wants to show you…it’s grace wrapped in grace wrapped in more grace. Anticipate today what He has in store for you.”
Pastor Vince teaches about the meaning and value of communion and baptism. “Faith creates our own personal identity in Jesus. Baptism celebrates our public identity with Jesus. The Lord’s Supper celebrates our plural identity in Jesus.”

“I don’t know where you spent Christmas this year, but maybe you did not spend it where you had planned it…Wherever it is that you spent Christmas, even if your plans were changed dramatically, God wanted to meet you there in Christmas. In fact, every day ahead of us, we have the opportunity to enjoy the truth of Christmas – to enjoy God wherever we are.”
Pastor Vince teaches from Luke 1 and shares of Mary and Elizabeth and their pregnancy experiences and how we can learn from their responses. “Why are there uneven piles under the trees of our lives which can cause us to say, ‘God is not fair’…yet we need to choose instead to look at the promises, not the piles. Look at what is already under the tree for you.”
