To celebrate the 2 year anniversary of Alev Lenz ’s album ‘3’ and its corresponding sound library, SA Recordings launched a composition competition. The goal was to create a track of 4 minutes max, using only the sounds provided in the library, plus our own recorded audio if we wanted to.
I added some self-recorded guitar parts to my track. All the other sounds are from the library, including the drums. Even though there are no drum sounds per se to be found in this library, I crafted every drum hits from the sounds in it (and I can prove it ! :P ).

This track was originally made for a contest held by synths & instruments maker SOMA Laboratory. The rules were to make a 3 minute track using a sample pack provided by Soma for at least 50% of the track sounds. I ended up using only the provided samples which I heavily processed, transformed and repurposed.

This is a (long) demo for my "Isolation Loops", a free soundpack I released to keep you inspired during this lockdown. You get 48 loops and samples + 2 multi-sampled instruments, free to use as you wish in your own production (including commercial ones).
I used my signature sound and go-to techniques to create those sounds: Most of them were either made with Eurorack Modular or, Guitar, Lapsteel and Dobro altered in various ways.
With a bit of creativity, I think they can be used in a lot of contexts.
Don’t hesitate to send me what you’ll do with them: It’d be nice to be able to listen !
