In honor of Zoe and Lucas’s first wedding anniversary tomorrow we wanted to feature them in our blog! It has been a while since we did a wedding feature blog and we LOVED putting this together. Zoe and Lucas were married at the gorgeous Field’s Reserve in Stoughton, WI on 5/27/21. It was an amazing day full of lots of laughter and love! We cannot believe it has already been a year since these two said “I do” surrounded by their family and friends. Big congrats to Zoe and Lucas! Take a look inside their wedding day below!

We were so excited to create this styled shoot and love the way it turned out! It was a collaboration from the beginning. We wanted to showcase this beautiful new venue, Palestrina, and work with the natural light that comes in and the overall design of the space. The venue has a very interesting mix of modern, industrial, Scandinavian, and vintage feel. Couples getting married here can go in many different directions with décor!
This was our first photo style shoot, so we needed the guidance of an experienced photographer (Sara with Faye Photography). Since this was also Palestrina first photo shoot, we brained stormed together (with Stephanie, Palestrina manager) and we came up with the concept. We put together a vision board and that’s how we started!
Faye Photography and Palestrina found all the other vendors, including the models. We had a lot of different props to work with the day of the shoot. We improvised a few times and we made some last minute changes.
There were many different elements and details involved in this shoot. Palestrina’s nested arches - these were custom made for the shoot and are now available to use at the venue. The bamboo and wicker bohemian décor was also purchased for this styled shoot and is now available to rent from Signature Events; The Grazing boards by Twisted Radish – were a work of art – so beautifully put together; Craig’s Cake Shop nailed the design concept and brought the inspirational photos to life. Signage and Invitation Suite were beautifully made and perfectly matched the design concept and color palette. The “Cheers” coasters were such a nice touch and could be a wonderful choice for a wedding favor. Velvet’s Rentals eclectic furniture and tableware gave us the vintage look we wanted. The dress – what a gorgeous gown by Brandi’s Bridal! The pretty pink cocktails by Catered Cocktails. Everything was great! All vendors were so delightful to work with. The ceremony dog – almost forgot! What a joyful pup!
We had a blast doing this. The vendors were all amazing to work with and so so talented!

1. Bridgerton-Inspired Wedding
Our favorite trend by far! A Bridgerton-inspired wedding pays tribute to the popular Netflix series and British Regency-era in many ways. This theme pulls in Prussian blue and other pale colors such as pink, green, yellow, purple and orange. These color combos make for a gorgeous floral combination, just look at these samples we did for Madison, WI Wedding Show! The Bridgerton theme also inspired vintage décor accent pieces.

2. Boho Chic Wedding
Boho Chic weddings have a soft and romantic feel that is inspired by earthy and natural colors. This theme often also includes pops of brighter, but still neutral colors such as rust, amber, and coral tones. And of course pampas grass! This theme also incorporates wicker vases, bamboo lanterns, and macramé draping for arches. We just stocked up on new Boho décor, use the below button to check out our inventory!

- Friday Weddings
2022 is going to be the biggest year for weddings since 1984! Many couples have pushed off their weddings or engagements due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but this year a lot of weddings are finally happening! This means a lot of booked out wedding venues on Saturdays which leaves many couples searching for an available venue. Because of this, Friday weddings have become a very popular trend. They also tend to be cheaper then Saturday weddings!
- Live Painting & WEdding Day Portraits
COVID-19 restrictions stopped couples from having other forms of entertainment at their weddings such as live music. Live painting, wedding portrait artists, and caricaturists made a comeback in 2021. They are in full swing in 2022! The trend is fun entertainments for guests and the artists creation is a keepsake piece that the bride and groom get to keep as a lifetime memory of their special day!
- Neon Sign
Neon signs are another recently new trend that couples are loving! It is a unique way for couples to personalize their wedding. The signage is very eye-catching fun way for modern couples to add a touch of edgy ambience to a reception or after-party. It is a win-win because the sign then is another keepsake that couples can keep and use in their homes.
- Outdoor weddings
Outdoor weddings made a comeback in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. In 2022 they are still just as popular and even more trendy! There are many different ways to have an outdoor wedding. It could be in a backyard or at a venue, with a tent or without a tent, and you have the option to use vendors for supplies or buy your own items. Outdoor weddings also give you a lot of flexibility to do whatever you want for décor. For example, check out this gorgeous set up we did last summer using the couple’s old family truck!

Baby G has been a little bundle of joy we’ve been waiting for, for quite some time. It was only fair that he would be celebrated and showered in style. Before we show you some beautiful pics from the one and only Tara Draper, I want to thank everyone who took a huge part on the big day!

Becca and Cooper wanted us to handle the design and event management for their camp wedding. After a few meetings we were super excited to create something for them that reflected both their personalities and made their guests coming from the cities comfortable and experience something unique. It turned into an amazing and magical day!
This month’s wedding blog feature is Katie and Taylor Hartman’s wedding! These two got married last August on a hot summer day and it was beautiful. Last minute changes moved their wedding outside and thanks to family friend’s they had the perfect spot right on the Wisconsin River for their ceremony. What’s more perfect than that has a backdrop? Seriously, it was gorgeous!
After the ceremony, a reception was help at the Trapper’s Turn Golf Course where Katie and Taylor spent the night celebrating with their family and friends. It was a night full of good food, dancing, and yes, fireworks! Katie and Taylor closing out their wedding day with a firework show, it was a magical night!

Sydney and Riley got married on a beautiful summer day in August. They were married on the second floor of the Hillsboro brewery and it was gorgeous! The sun shinned through the large windows creating the perfect amount of natural light.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Sydney and Riley moved their reception to Sydney’s grandparents backyard. Clearing out their large shed and adding a few tents made it a great space! There are many pluses to having a back yard wedding reception and Sydney and Riley benefited from them all! Their wedding day was full of love, happy tears, and lots of laughs with their family and friends. Take a look at their wedding day with these amazing photos!!

We have four more tips for all you brides and grooms planning backyard weddings for this summer!
1. Power and electrical.
With backyard weddings, you will want to consider where your power is coming from for the event. And then reconsider it again before you make a decision, this is something you will want to make sure you have properly organized. As not every property is set to support the power required by all of your vendors.
2. Insurance.
Event insurance wasn't much of a topic until last year. But we recommend it as you are bringing a lot of factors and liabilities onto private property and will want to make sure you are covered for any potential reasons.
3. Yard maintenance.
You'll want to spruce up the area around your tent and yard wedding space so it looks well kept. Whether that is simply potted flowers and plants, extra decorations, or just revamping your landscape, it will all help!
4. It's not over at midnight.
Your party can go longer than the standard midnight because you are on private property. Consider deciding on a time to end and communicate that to vendors you so don’t have surprise additional fees for having DJ, bar, etc. stay longer.

Return of the Backyard Wedding: Part 1
As we all know, backyard weddings are coming back in full swing so here are three more tips to consider when planning your backyard wedding!
1. Get properly staffed.
At a venue you will have a property manager, catering staff, service staff and general cleaning staff. Adding to that is the event professionals that you hire to complete the day. So we always recommend that you keep this in mind when staffing and hiring your backyard event. An event planner will help you tie loose ends together and direct the entire event as well as run rehearsal for you and create a timeline for all vendors. This is a huge help when it comes to making your event flow perfectly and allowing you to enjoy it instead of have you or your family step in as one of those roles.
2. Where will they go?
Did you know that a lot of homes are not made for that many guests to use the bathrooms? Typically we recommend you rent porta potties. But, nowadays there are elevated bathroom trailers that look and operate just light regular bathrooms. This option offers up a better experience to your guests.
3. Get home safely.
In our experience, backyard weddings tend to be no where near a hotel. This tends to result in people driving after a few too many, a risk for you. Consider hiring a shuttle bus to take people to their hotel room block you have arranged. This way your night can end as great as it started.

The party of the year.
As we reach the end of 2020 we are reminiscing about the "Closing ceremony" of 2019 and since 2020 didn’t have as many events due to the pandemic we are looking back at last December. We had the pleasure to design and coordinate Lindsey and Jacobs wedding day and let me tell you, the energy in the room that night was unforgettable, to say the least.
Where do we start? First, we met Lindsey and Jacob virtually since they live in California. We discussed wants, needs, must-haves, and big vision. After we designed the floorplan, we realized how amazing this party was going to be. From Lindsey's desire for a detail experience, to the little add-ons that happened throughout the planning. Their guests had a full experience, from a delicious dinner to late-night lattes, these two really cared about treating their guests. They even had a special On Wisconsin performance and a visit from Bucky. But the unforgettable piece was the dance portion when the cheap shots took over the atmosphere and had the dance floor packed, jumping and energized the entire night.

Many of us have been seeing backyard weddings happen more and more this year. Venues not being able to normally operate and newer trends have inspired people to get married, not only in their backyard but in private estates, vacation rentals, and large properties that belong to friends. Due to the large influx, we think we need to give you some tips for planning your backyard wedding. This is part 1 of a 3 part blog series. So if you know anyone considering a backyard wedding, send this their way!
Because there is so much to consider and plan for, here are the first three things you will want to consider when planning a backyard wedding.
1. Parking and Traffic.
You probably thought we were going to say, is the area pretty? No, you are now building a venue. So one of the items to consider is how guests will park, where they will park and how they will get to the parking area.
2. Is there enough of a flat area?
If you are doing a backyard wedding then you are likely considering using a tent. Tents need a flat area to be set up on. Pro tip, if you look at your space after or during a rainy day.
3. The neighbors.
If you are lucky and have super cool neighbors, invite them to party with you. However, if you have a small space and neighbors that are in bed by 7 pm, consider having a conversation with them first so that your dance portion is not cut short, or bothered.
Extra tip: Keep in mind you are building a venue and extra help will be needing for the productions and tear own of this style of wedding.

Around 2008 rustic weddings became the biggest trend. Along with that came the baby's breath with mason jars and burlap. WOAH, did we just blow your mind? That means that people have been doing mason jars and burlap for over 12 years!!! So we are officially declaring the new 2021 season, "Bye Bye Burlap!"
Don't get us wrong, we love a rustic wedding and that’s kind of our specialty, but if you work with us we are going to take so much into count to create an amazing event for you and your guests. We really want to get to know you, the décor in your home, and your style. This helps us create a design that is current and truly you.
So is it possible to do rustic without these? UH YEAH!!! WE DO IT ALL THE TIME! Here are our top 5 tips to have a rustic wedding that does not look dated.
1) Adding to the venue: If you've selected a rustic venue, but that's as far as you want to go begin by choosing shapes and metals. You can do this with signs, containers, and stationery.
2) Furniture: Think about the space, if it needs a touch of wood finishes to bring in the rustic feel you can use chairs, tables, and other furniture to bring in the style.

3) When everything is wood: If your space has floor to ceiling wood finishes, consider linens and draping to soften up the space.
4) Don't be afraid to use color: Don't be afraid to soften or brighten the space with colors. Flowers and greenery can transform a space to help, bonus if it reflects the time of year.
5) The Great Outdoors: What can be more rustic than an outdoor wedding and letting the natural area be your rustic décor? Using the great outdoors as your backdrop allows you to bring in an elevated design inside your tent or outdoor space that can be both classy and elegant.
So, next time you think rustic, let’s take it a step further and get creative with the design to truly come up
with a design and event that reflects your personality, your story, and your style!

For this blog, we are giving some love to Dorothy and Josh. Weddings have this special surprise where you often not only love your clients but their friends too. Some of our clients are so so so lucky to experience long-lasting friendships and loving families and these two are very lucky!
Dorothy and Josh met at the beer line at Summer Fest. So naturally, we had to have a sign for the bar that was custom made and they got to keep.
Since the beginning while working with them one thing was clear, they really wanted to have a great party. I remember Josh telling me at Starbucks (This was before we had our office) saying, “Fiorella, this needs to not only be fun, we also want it to look good, and we don't want to worry about it! We want to get it right!!!” I quickly responded, I can do that!!!
Having couples who are so aware of themselves and their relationship is wood to my creativity fire. So when we met to discuss needs it was really easy to create something for them.
Closer to the wedding day, we began to confirm with all the vendors, finalizing the timeline, and cross-referencing what was planned to the recent changes that happen closer to the wedding day.
The icing on the cake was getting to work with some of the best in our industry, shout out to Tara Draper. But even more, experiencing the energy of the whole day. Dorothy and Josh have the sweetest friends. In one instance, during the first look her friends, and specifically her maid of honor wanted to make sure everything was perfect for her (but not in an annoying way haha, in a loving "I know how she's feeling right now" and caring way we don't see often). Once married these two became ready to conquer the world (and the dance floor!).

Joy and Matt had one of the sweetest weddings in 2019 (they are both beekeepers). We got a chance to witness a beautiful family come together.
The bride and groom were able to get ready in their home while we were bringing in chairs, linens, and flowers into the Reedsburg Country Club.

Just when you thought you had all your plans figured out, the pandemic happened. Suddenly all the plans were either changed or postponed. If you are sitting there, saying to yourself “THIS IS NOT FUN!” remember that you are not alone. Couples including our clients are going through many changes not only in their wedding but also in their personal and professional lives.
Here at Neira Event Group, we have adapted to wearing masks while in front of guests to make them feel comfortable, while also following the re-opening guidelines. We are also eager to see so many couples say "I Do" while helping others change their plans. At this moment today, we are in the middle of planning multiple events coming up this month. We’ve also had a couple of weddings during this unpredictable time. For that reason, we have created a list that will give you insight into planning weddings during the current climate.

1. Keep an eye on local mandates
Mandates are changing. Some are statewide, some are from neighboring states and some are by County or municipality. Keep an eye on them, or have a friend or connection help keep you informed. Also keep in mind that state mandates will overrule all local actions with less strict rules. For example, there is a new Wisconsin statewide mask mandate that will overrule local mandates. In regards to who enforces them, we are still unsure as it is brand new from yesterday, but you can find out more here.
2. Changes are happening later in the planning process
We are all planners here, and the closer to the wedding the more you tie loose ends to execute the event. However, we’ve seen some last-minute changes that take us by surprise. Vendors, like catering, beauty, and even venues canceling very close to the wedding day. This can throw things off, however, if you have a planner a second option and coordinating all those changes will help you big time! We are seeing changes happen all the way up to the week of the wedding.

3. Send updates or re-save the dates
If you have to change you wedding date, you can send re-save the date to the guests. If you have to cut your guest total, you can send a card explaining plan changes and that you have to cut the guest list. Both things are typically frowned upon, but we are in weird times, so it is understandable.
4. Food service needs to change
Even without mandates, the recommended standard of serving food has changed. Buffets (including dessert buffets) are either not allowed, or need to be revisited and adapted to new guidelines. One way to do a buffet is cafeteria-style, where the catering staff serves guests their plate at the buffet line (instead of guests serving themselves). This is allowed in some areas, and would need to be reviewed by your venue and catering.

5. This one is for the guests
The couple is really stressed, they are trying their best to enjoy something they both want and have been looking forward to, working hard for, for over a year. I’m sure you can undertand that this is not their fault. If the couple reschedules be supportive, it was a hard decision. If the couple is choosing to change their plans but continue, when you RSVP, or politely decline, they just need a “yes” or “no” they don’t need a whole paragraph explaining why. Please be kind and understanding that all they want is to be married and to celebrate their way.
6. Outdoor features have never been so important
We’ve seen a lot of changes, especially with the new mask mandate. Mainly, the weddings that continue (mostly) as planned are those that are taking place at a venue that has comfortable outdoor spaces. When a ceremony is covered or in a nice outdoor area, and the guests can be indoors or outdoors it allows for a lot of flexibility in late changes.
7. When forced to change location
If you are forced to change location after your license has been given to you, check for places within the same county first.

8. Check on your vendors
For the most part, we haven’t had issues with this, but we have heard of others losing vendors who are not comfortable working at this time. Check on your contracted team to ensure that they are still conformable working your event.
9. Update your website
- Don’t forget you have an online referral source for your guests.
- We’ve had clients post a Covid-19 message to their website, something like: “we are aware of the current mandates and are trying to adhere to them/change our plans/continuing to plan for that date. We’ll be in touch soon”
- If you change your date or location, change it on your website too.
- If you have to cut the list short at the ceremony, remove it from the website, as those closest will be in touch with you anyway, and that way you won’t have people who use your site as a referral show up to the ceremony.

10. It’s about being married
Trust us when we say, we know these times are not easy. What we can say is, you will get married, you will smile, you'll laugh, dance, and most importantly be together. There is something to be said for accomplishing hard tasks together as a couple, you will overcome this, and have a story to tell.

This weddings was known as the "Friends" wedding. Since most of us are looking for shows that we can binge watch, we thought showing these two off to you would be fitting right now.
We first met with Ashley and her Mom for some drinks and design talk at one of our favorite places to sip, The Vue in Wisconsin Dell. Ashley was pretty set on her colors and general vision, but we came in to help her tie it all together. We reached out to vendors, gathered pricing for all the decor, rentals, linens, and commissioned some custom pieces. How fun!!!
Our second meeting was over at A La Crate back in August which is where I was exited to hear that Ashley and Ross loved, LOOOVED! The show Friends. We joked at the many crazy things we could do, but one of the items we wanted to recreate was, The Central Perk, the famous coffee shop we all know from the show. So where else could you get that furniture? A La Crate! We spent some time in the warehouse discussing how we would do it our way, and small touches we could also add to tie in the theme in the space without being too overwhelming to the wedding. I love a hint of a theme! The design also featured signage from Sara's Signs for the seating chart, and welcome sign. Montview Bakery knocked it out of the park with their desserts which we also displayed near our Central Perk.
We also had the pleasure to Coordinate the wedding day for Ashley and Ross. Running the ceremony rehearsal, welcoming all vendors, catching all the last minute items that arose so Ashley and Ross wouldn't have to deal with any problems. On the wedding day we arrived early to the Swan Barn Door to set up decor, table linens, napkins, signage, direct the set up of the furniture, bring in cocktail tables, make last minute changes to the floor plans, help vendors with their set up and so much more. Once everything was ready to go family started to arrive for the ceremony and the crazy part of the day began. We began directing guests to the upstairs of the barn, the bridal party to their holding area, and communicated with vendors about last minute changes and instructions for the processional. After the ceremony we took the bridal party to their holding area so guests could clear the ceremony space and go to cocktail hour in a timely manner where drinks and appetizers were available for them. Orchestrating their wedding day was definitely one we will remember. After working through the dinner, later in the night, we helped the family collect everything that you don't want stolen or broken (gifts/personal items/cards) that way they could enjoy themselves without worrying about valuables.
At the end of the night our team came back to pick up everything that belonged to Neira Event Group, (again the last thing you want to do is collect, linens, napkins, furniture, cocktail tables at the end of the night). So they didn’t have to worry about cleaning up rentals and collecting things to return on Monday that belonged to us. We like to pick up what belongs to us so you don't have to.
There was plenty of dancing, laughter, tears, and so much love for these two! Ashley and Ross, thank you for having us be a part of your day!

Can we just say that we love local weddings? When we get a call from a local couple it immediately makes us happy as we feel honored to be a part of people's biggest life moments.
We had the pleasure of not only designing Tricia and Teran's wedding day but also joining them as coordinators to make sure they could all enjoy themselves. We created a production timeline, checked in with all their vendors, directed rehearsal ceremony, wedding day set up and tear down and were the point of contact for all vendors the week of the wedding. We calmed some nerves, ran around for some things that came up and directed guests and vendors to ensure everything ran smoothly.
With a whopping guest list of over 400 people and a large ballroom at the Wilderness, the first thought was, to make sure we fill the space with height. Which is why we wanted to do tall centerpieces as well as a dessert display with shelves! This helped created tall focal points that people would immediately notice.
Their wedding day was done in style, thanks to Tricia's great taste. She added to details like the perfect gift to her bridesmaids, sunglasses for the entire wedding and light up LOVE letters. These two are the real deal! During the reception the best speeches we've ever heard were given. Tricia spoke about how lucky she was to have so many supportive women by her side. Teran gave a heartfelt speech giving us a little insight as to why he loved Tricia so much, and the maid of honor made over 400 people laugh so loud. These two are loved and cherished by so many.

We had the pleasure to plan Heather and Mitch's wedding from beginning to end. It quickly became apparent that these two loved the Dells area and everything that makes our hometown so unique. We can't believe it has been about a year since these two got hitched!
We loved designing this for Heather. She made it clear she didn't like tall centerpieces so we proposed a hanging centerpiece to add some height. We were very excited to work with her favorite colors, WE LOOOOVE COLOR and the fact she wasn't afraid of them. Making her bouquet is still one of our favorite processes. When it came to the invitations we commissioned a custom piece from Windswept design that perfectly unfolded to feature the map of their favorite place, a custom painting of their ceremony location, a detailed schedule for guests, and a tear-off RSVP.
Once dinner was over, the party was kicked off by dueling pianos and delicious dessert bites from Buck n Honey's. We hope you get a good glimpse into their day through this blog.

We met Avree and Angie (her now mother in law) at our previous office. They were so down to earth and really just had an interest in everyone having a great time at the wedding. We quickly realized that we would need all hands on deck since their wedding had about 500 people invited! Wowza. We were not scared since big weddings are very common around here, but knew that set up would have to be a well thought out process.
The wedding took place in Portage and the reception at the Swan Barn Door. We arrived at about 9am to begin setting up flowers, linens, decor, Avree and Austin's personal items and greet all the vendors. With that number of people, we definitely had a good amount of problem-solving to do, but we were able to get everything to look beautiful, run on time, and most importantly handle all the mishaps so that the couple and family could get ready for their big day.
On the wedding day, one thing was for sure. Everyone was just so happy. While the team was finishing set up, we stopped over to the getting ready location to deliver bouquets and Avree was grinning from ear to ear, we went to the church and same. It was an incredible feeling to experience.
After the ceremony, Avree and Austin moved outside for some additional pictures, and it was then when you could see even more that these two were just meant to be. The way they moved, looked at each other and even spoke to one another you could tell that love, respect, and so much happiness was just pouring out of them.
During the party, it was clear that there were so many guests simply because this family was loved by so many. Avree and Austin's wedding was truly incredible and unforgettable!

Hi, Fiorella here :) I have exciting news to officially share with all of you. We would like to introduce Six13 Collective, the new home to Neira Event Group.
If you are a Wisconsin Dells local, you might have a clue as our dream is already in the works. The building, located on Broadway Ave in Downtown Wisconsin Dells, is a modern office building to soon be home to small local businesses.
At the inception of the business, we quickly grew out of our garage and struggled to find a workshop and office space to accommodate our growth. Being based out of the “Waterpark Capital of the World” means there is plenty of hospitality, storefront and restaurant space but a lack of office space to house a small creative business like us.
In September 2018, I put the dream of our studio in motion. While planning this space, I realized that we were not the only small business looking in our area. Wisconsin Dells is home to so many small businesses like accountants, realtors, vacation home management, photo studios, day spa services and creative services (the list is endless). It was then that I decided to create a building that would be open to not only my business but a perfect place for other local businesses to grow.
The best part about Six13 Collective is the community aspect. We’ll be running workshops and hosting events for our local community and business owners. But most of all, we are excited that our clients can visit us in our own space. Not only will we be able to meet in person, but our clients with be able to view our exclusive rentals.
The building is set to open this summer. Stay tuned for more details on the official Grand Opening date. You don't want to miss it.
I am very excited as we start this next chapter in our business. I appreciate all the support from the local community and our clients. This is for you!

Happy Holidays Parade and Tree Lighting

What we love most:
Even if it is cold the community comes out to watch, plus free hot chocolate and cider are available to keep you warm. Local organizations gather for a lighted parade, and after the parade, there is the cutest tree lighting ceremony led by local talent. Then, of course, Santa makes an appearance as he is lifted above the tree and magically lights it. We recommend getting there early for a good seat at the lighting.

At commerce plaza, you will find that Santa landed with his REAL reindeer! You get a chance to pet Prancer, and Dancer and Donner and Blitzen and take a picture with Santa as well. In addition at the same time, the annual Elf Hunt is happening throughout the stores for little ones too.

Once winter arrives in Wisconsin, outdoor activities are limited. But that's why we love this event so much! The Downtown shops lend their windows to be decorated into living displays! Yes, there are people inside of them. Grab your loved ones and a warm scarf, we will have hot chocolate, hot cider, and cookies along the window route to keep you warm. Enjoy as the season's music fills the streets, take a picture with Santa and do a little shopping if you’d like too!

Last year we had the pleasure to work with Brie, Bobby, and Brie’s mom Mary. We started by coordinating and going over the timeline and then moved into floral design. We also had the pleasure to create beautiful flowers for their reception, ceremony and personal flowers for the wedding party. But, we did not expect to enjoy ourselves so much with Brie and Bobby’s families. Mary gave one of the best mother of the bride speeches we have ever heard! All the laughing, and all the tears, she just touched every single emotion perfectly.
We also had the pleasure to work with one of our favorite venues in Wisconsin Dells, Vennebu Hill. They had the ceremony indoors and the reception and dance downstairs. Brie and Bobby had little personal touches here and there of their lives. They had toothbrushes as favors because Brie is a partner in a dental practice and all their favorite treats for dessert. We loved planning and seeing their special day come to life! Take a little peek at their wedding!

This wedding was fabulous! From her blush dress, the way the tables were set, her stylish fiancee and of course, the dancing! Sarah and Darren definitely impressed their guest with their thoughtful touches. We certainly miss celebrating with them at the Swan Barn but we know that these educators are busy making the best out of their summer.

Do you remember when we said we are a little obsessed with colors this year? Mary sure had us thinking when she said she wanted to go fro white and greenery to as colorful as possible.
It matched her bubbly personality and their taste. We loved designing their wedding and we definitely made the right call to cover the black railing with a long greenery garland. Take a look at their fabulous wedding at Cold Water Canyon Pavilion and the Tent at Chula Vista Resort.

One of the giddiest weddings we’ve ever attended. We did meet Sam and Dan right away. We actually met during a venue walk through with Sam at Lussier Family Heritage Center. She greeted me with smiles and excitement. We discussed their vision, what they had done so far, and what they still had left to do.
“On the wedding day you could just see the happiness. I know it’s cliche, but if you asked any of the other vendors who had the pleasure to be there, they would say the same. We still remember the moment they were announced as a married couple. They walked out of their ceremony and I opened the door to a room where they could hide until photos started. As soon as they got past the doors I saw them tear up and hug, and then as each couple from the bridal party arrived the hug became a big group hug. What a little intimate moment of happiness.”

We worked with Kim and her mom Bonnie to come up with a floral design that would go with their wedding colors and style. They nailed the look of a fabulous rustic wedding. Kim and Doug really knew what they wanted and gathered special pieces, like seating and some extra decor to place throughout their wedding. We got to coordinate and manage Stacey and Michael’s wedding day in Green Bay, WI last fall! Myself (Fiorella) and two team members worked really hard for this sweet, sweet couple. THE PROCESS: We created a timeline for their wedding, called all their vendors, problem preventing by looking at the times that did not align with others, confirmed arrival times and clean up times about a month prior and the weeks before the wedding. Additionally, we looked over the decor inventory ensuring we had everything from set up to tear down. The day before we orchestrated rehearsal alongside their Priest, ensuring we were helpful to the parish. We also arranged to offer a helping hard directing the bridal party, lining them up and doing things efficiently since it was just the Priest. On the wedding day, all hands were on deck to set up reception and directing vendors before heading over to the ceremony to finish setup. It was so unique to see Stacey come in to get ready with her girls at the church, and even more, it was jaw dropping to see Michael and his groomsmen all arrive in muscle cars! WHAT?! I hope you enjoy their wedding day, and that the beautiful photos give you a small glimpse of this gorgeous day.

Downtown Portage Inc put a new spin onto Canal Days this year and the community came out to support! We had the pleasure to be a part of this even for the first year. I can't wait what is in store for the future.
The downtown activities started with the annual Parade featuring floats from local and surrounding area businesses and organizations. We were a bit nervous about the rain but it held off other than a quick 2 minute shower at 11:30AM. The day then continued at Commerce Plaza for a Craft and Antique fair and new Kids' Corner with activities for the whole family like a petting zoo, food truck, brat sales, local heroes from the fire department, inflatable house, slides, obstacle course, and MAHS brought reptiles, yes reptiles! Commerce plaza parking lot was full with smiling families left and right, some shopping, buying food, and others enjoying the activities for kids. As 4:00PM came around and it was time to close up shop the vendors began to bring down their kiosks, many congratulated the team as the event being "the best they've been a part of in a long time in Portage."
However, It didn't stop there! Canal Days Jam was to take place at 5 different venues, Tall Paul's, Pohlk's Pub, Corner Pocket, the Ball Room, and Big Dog's Saloon starting at 8:00PM on Saturday. The Downtown Board decided a few days earlier to make the event free to the public rather than charging cover to gather momentum for years to come. That night, bands began to play as groups of people jumped from bar to bar listening to live music. Next year we are looking to get some big name bands to draw even bigger crowds.
Downtown Portage Inc reached their goal this year to make Canal Days once again a weekend that people look forward to every summer in Portage!

How did we end up with a Moroccan inspired wedding? We don't know! haha
It started by one girl calling another, then another calling another and so on! Talk about girl power, YEAH! This game of telephone was followed by a meeting of the minds with Mikayla from Chula Vista Resort and Tara from Tara Draper Photography (and myself and a chai latte)
After weeks of throwing around endless ideas, it came to a halt when someone said Moroccan. So what would a Moroccan inspired wedding look like, in the fall... in Wisconsin? Well it would look like this! Fallen leaves in a secluded location, different shapes and patterns and a beautiful couple.
But it doesn't stop there! Our goal was also to highlight upcoming trends for 2017 that you can shamelessly steal! (can I get a "goodbye mason jars")

A garden themed wedding took place at Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells. The bride and groom looked into each other's eyes the entire night, as they realized and took in each and every moment. It was an amzing thing to be a part of and I hope you enjoy the beautiful Pictures.
