Motley Crue shared a new version of their classic power ballad “Home Sweet Home” featuring country music icon Dolly Parton.
The track is featured on the band’s new career retrospective compilation From The Beginning. A portion of the proceeds from the new “Home Sweet Home” will benefit Covenant House, which offers aid and assistance to youth experiencing homelessness, human trafficking survivors, and young families.
In a statement on the new recording, Motley Crue said, in part, “For an icon like Dolly Parton to sing on a song that has not only meant so much to us but to all the fans through the years, is a career high that means a lot to us … That we were able to unite with Dolly to raise awareness for homeless youth and the amazing work of Covenant House, which provides them safe housing and care, makes it even more special.”
Parton added, “It was an honor and a joy working in the studio on Motley Crue’s 40th Anniversary re-release of ‘Home Sweet Home’. I was so pleased that they would ask me to sing on such a classic.”

- 2001: The Cult released their seventh studio album, Beyond Good and Evil. Their first recording in over six years, it would debut at No. 37 on the U.S. charts.

- 1969: David Bowie records “Space Oddity.” This comes after Bowie watched the popular movie 2001: A Space Odyssey.
- 2000: A New York court ordered Mick Jagger to reveal his financial worth and income during a child support battle, giving him until August to comply. This was to support his last child with Luciana Morad, a Brazilian model.

In the long history of Rock Hall induction ceremonies, there have been many no-shows by inductees. Some of them were due to health or other personal reasons. Others? Not so much.
The latest no-show comes from Carol Kaye, the iconic session bassist who is part of the 2025 induction class. Kaye is one of the recipients of the Musical Excellence Award. In a since-deleted post on Facebook (but reported by Variety), Kaye’s big issue has to do with being included in the popular session musician group, “The Wrecking Crew,” which is a term she has long disliked. She noted, “I was never a ‘wrecker’ at all. That’s a terrible, insulting name.”
Kaye also added that the Rock Hall ceremony “wasn’t something that reflects the work that Studio Musicians do and did in the golden era of the 1960s Recording Hits.”
With that in mind, here are ten examples of Rock Hall no-shows in the history of the induction ceremony.
The Grateful Dead’s Jerry GarciaWhen the Grateful Dead was inducted in 1994, Garcia apparently wasn’t too fond of the entire concept of the Hall of Fame, which is why he sat out the induction ceremony. The rest of the band attended. Why is this notorious? The band brought a cardboard cut-out of Garcia to stand in his place. Hilarious!
Ike & Tina TurnerTina Turner sat out the 1991 induction ceremony because she no longer wanted to be associated with her abusive ex-husband, Ike Turner. Ike’s reason for not attending? He was in jail serving a four-year sentence for cocaine possession. (Admittedly, this is a great excuse for not showing up somewhere.)
Fortunately, Tina was finally inducted as a solo artist in 2021. While she didn’t attend her induction in person, she did send an acceptance video.
Grace SlickSo, what was Slick’s reason for skipping out on Jefferson Airplane’s induction in 1996? She said, “All rock and rollers over age 50 look stupid and should retire.” Whether you agree with her or not, you have to give the woman props for sticking to her words. Slick has maintained a very low profile for many years now.
Paul McCartneyWhen The Beatles were inducted into the Rock Hall in 1988, McCartney sat out the induction due to some then-ongoing issues around songwriting royalties. In a statement, Macca said, “After 20 years, the Beatles still have some business differences, which I had hoped would have been settled by now. Unfortunately, they haven’t been, so I would feel like a complete hypocrite waving and smiling with them at a fake reunion.” Of course, he would go on to attend his own solo induction in 1999 and induct John Lennon in 1994 and Ringo Starr in 2015 for their solo work.
Three out of Five Members of Van HalenThis one was just a hot mess! Van Halen was part of the Rock Hall’s 2007 class, and around that time, there was a whole slew of drama going on in the band. (Surprise!) For starters, David Lee Roth was back in, but Michael Anthony was kicked out and replaced with Eddie Van Halen’s then 15-year-old son, Wolfgang. Also, Eddie needed to go to rehab. Once the dust settled, all who showed up to the ceremony were Anthony and Sammy Hagar.
Roger WatersPink Floyd were part of the 1996 induction class, but there were still major tensions in the band due to a 1986 lawsuit in which Waters lost against David Gilmour and Nick Mason over the use of their band name. The band would eventually reunite in 2005 for the Live 8 benefit concert.
Sex PistolsOf all of the Rock Hall no-shows, the funniest comes via the Sex Pistols. The punk icons refused to attend their induction in 2006 in protest of the exorbitant cost for acts to attend, which can be upwards of tens of thousands of dollars per table. They did, however, send a note, which contained the intro, “Next to the Sex Pistols, rock and roll and that Hall of Fame is a piss stain.” It was read by Rolling Stone founder/Rock Hall Board Member Jann Wenner to the delight of the crowd in attendance.
Rod StewartRod Stewart is a two-time Rock Hall inductee, but he’s missed both of his inductions. When he was inducted for his solo work in 1994, he opted to stay home with his children due to a major earthquake that hit Los Angeles, where they lived. When he was inducted as part of the Faces in 2012, he was planning on attending and performing with the band, but he contracted strep-throat and couldn’t speak. Apparently, some guys don’t have all the luck.
Axl RoseGuns N’ Roses were part of the 2012 induction class, but Axl wanted no part. In a statement shortly before the ceremony, Rose said, “I strongly request that I not be inducted in absentia and please know that no one is authorized nor my anyone be permitted to accept any induction for me or speak on my behalf. Neither former members, label representatives, nor the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame should imply whether directly, indirectly, or by omission, that I am included in any purported induction of ‘Guns N’ Roses.'” (Considering the crazy success of the GN’R’s “Not In This Lifetime” reunion tour, this statement has aged awkwardly.)
David BowieLeave it to David Bowie to give the Rock Hall the coldest of shoulders and, perhaps, lay the groundwork for ghosting. Bowie was announced as part of the 1996 induction class. However, he was touring in Europe during the time of the ceremony. The strangest thing, though, was that he never released a statement about the induction or even acknowledged its existence. Cold-blooded or badass? You decide! He was still honored at the ceremony, with David Byrne inducting him and Madonna accepting his award on his behalf.

Evidently there were some stats to go along with this question that might shock you! Instacart put out a list of items that people forget to grab for a BBQ and that’s where Instacart comes in. Of course this is when these people have to make the call to have them delivered to the house.
Baked Beans, hot dogs, hot dog buns, watermelon and more! They also put on the list non-food items. Blowup pools, cornhole, and charcoal for the BBQ. But what The Mike & Carla Morning Show wanted to know is if you been in this situation?
Your Last Spontaineous OrderHave you ever spontaneously ordered something because you needed it NOW! Of course the winner might be Morty. He found himself at a soccer tournament without chairs. Finding out he was going to be there for a while, he had to buy lawn chairs and had them delivered to the soccer field!
Not as drastic, both Mike O’Brian and Carla Rea have both ordered that blowup pool from Sharper Image! There might have been alcohol involved with O’Brian, but nonetheless, it worked and both got the most out of their pool.
The cool thing with this topic is all the Instacart drivers that texted in to give their stories. From a head of lettuce to go pros at a dingy hotel room downtown! The person delivering the go pros did say that the young lady answering the door was a very good tipper!

Weird Al Yankovic launched his 2025 “The Bigger & Weirder Tour” with a high-energy opening night at the Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas on June 13. The show marked the start of a 65-date North American tour, which runs through Sept. 20, concluding in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Vegas launch featured a 24-song setlist that mixed fan favorite parodies with deep cuts that had not been played live in a long time. The crowd reacted particularly well to songs like “Tacky,” “Smells Like Nirvana,” and “Amish Paradise,” but longtime fans got to see live debuts of “Mission Statement,” “Polkamania!,” and “Everything You Know Is Wrong.”For the first time since 2003, Yankovic performed the full version of “eBay,” and the concert also featured premieres of the “Captain Underpants Theme,” “Now You Know,” and the “Milo Murphy’s Law Theme Song.”
Yankovic, known for constantly reinventing his live shows, described this production as a blend of Broadway and rock concerts. “This is kind of a ‘best of both worlds’ tour,” Yankovic explained in a previous statement. “We’ll be doing all the big crowd-pleasing parodies as well as some deep cuts for the hardcore fans – but with twice as many players onstage, everything is going to sound twice as good!”
The night ended with a unique encore featuring “We All Have Cell Phones,” a theatrical rendition of “The Saga Begins,” and a special version of “Yoda.”

Rosemary Vassiliadis, the longtime Director of the Clark County Department of Aviation and chief executive at Harry Reid International Airport, announced her planned retirement date of Sept. 12. Vassiliadis has over 28 years of public service experience, including 12 years as the leader of Harry Reid International Airport. Under the leadership of Vassiliadis, Henry Reid International Airport has emerged as one of North America’s top 10 airports for general aviation.
Her term was marked by responding to crises such as 9/11 and COVID-19, as well as major expansions, including the D Gates and Terminal 3. Under her leadership, Harry Reid International has posted record-breaking passenger numbers for three consecutive years and supported major events, including Super Bowl LVIII and the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
“Serving our community has been the honor of a lifetime. I am incredibly proud of the partnerships we’ve built, the milestones we’ve achieved, and the foundation laid for the future,” said Vassiliadis. “It has truly been an honor to manage the Clark County airport system, which serves as a critical asset in the economic viability for Southern Nevada.”
Vassiliadis also introduced innovations in security, making LAS the only airport designated as a TSA “Innovation Airport,” piloting advanced screening technologies. As the highest-paid Clark County employee, her compensation reflected the airport’s critical role in the region’s tourism-driven economy.
She managed five airports in total, guiding a system that now functions as a $35 billion economic engine employing over 18,000 people. Funding for future expansions, including enhancements to Terminal 1 and a redesign of Terminal 3, will primarily derive from airport user fees and slot machine revenue.
“Timing to hand over the reins is prime, with our airport system in solid condition, set up with short, medium and long-term modernization, operating, and strategic plans. Many of those components are already in motion,” Vassiliadis told staff.
She has also served on several influential boards, including the Nevada Homeland Security Commission and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. County Manager Kevin Schiller praised her transformative leadership, though details about her successor remain undecided.

The iconic Crazy Girls statue, long considered a symbol of Las Vegas showgirl culture, is returning to public view. First unveiled in 1997 at the Riviera Hotel and Casino to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Crazy Girls revue, the bronze sculpture quickly became a popular photo spot and good-luck charm, thanks in part to its cheeky design.
Created from a 1994 promotional photo featuring dancers posing with their backsides out, the statue was made using molds taken from the actual performers. “They put baby oil all over us, then cotton, then whatever the mold was made out of,” Angela Sampras-Stabile told Casino.org. “We had to stand completely still until it dried. One of the girls actually fainted and broke the mold, and we had to start all over.”
When the Riviera closed in 2015, Planet Hollywood acquired the statue and continued displaying it until the Crazy Girls show ended in 2021. It was then placed in storage — until now.
On June 25, the statue will be transported by motorcade to its new home: Circa Las Vegas. The official unveiling will take place two days later, on June 27, at the entrance to Circa’s rooftop Legacy Club, where guests will once again be able to rub it for good luck.
Over time, the statue has gained a reputation as one of the most frequently rubbed icons in Vegas, even surpassing Cleopatra’s Barge. A persistent rumor suggests one of the dancers represented is transgender — a belief tied to Jahna Steele, a former Crazy Girls performer who was fired in the 1990s following public scrutiny after coming out as transgender. However, the statue was created after her departure, and she is not among the models used for it.

It was that time again for Normal or Nope asking three questions…like eating pizza with a fork, normal or nope? What say you? The Mike & Carla Morning Show also asked two other questions. Do you smell your clothes to see if they’re clean enough to wear and do you leave the tv on when you leave the house?
With all three questions, there is no right or wrong questions, but we did want to know. A lot of folks might leave the tv on for other reasons, but not to ward off burglars. It was once thought it would give would be robbers the idea that someone was home.
However, with today’s sophisticated home alarms, that theory is a thing of the past. A lot of listeners said that they might leave it on for their pets. Or hit pause and rejoin their program after returning from a night out.
What about smelling your clothes to see if they’re clean enough to wear…normal or nope? Most of the listeners that chimed in thought that was more of a “guy” thing! Although a few ladies admitted they had their different piles to keep those clothes separate.
Do You Eat Pizza With A Fork?With the pizza thing, that was an entirely different story. One guy said he did it because he was Italian “fancy” which struck Carla Rea a little odd. He also told Carla that he ate his pasta with a spoon! Being Italian as well, she definitely thought that was a “nope”…as well as eating pasta with a spoon!
Now when it came to one article from Restaurant Hospitality, it mentions that “yes”, it might be okay to eat a pizza with a fork! Just getting a slice, go ahead and use your hands. Eating pizza for dinner at a restaurant, you might use the fork!
Different strokes right? But as we have said before, this segment has no right or wrong answers. We just want to know how you feel about each question.

The Clark County Public Works Department officially activated new traffic signals at the intersection of Amigo Street and Cactus Avenue in Las Vegas on June 12, 2025. The project, launched in February, was designed to address safety concerns and improve traffic efficiency at a junction that sees an average of 21,000 vehicles each day.
In addition to the new traffic signals, a highway infrastructure project also implemented other infrastructural improvements in the highway area, including lighting enhancements, new signage, new sidewalks and sidewalk ramps, and curb and gutter upgrades. Some roadway sections were paved for smoother and safer travel.
Concrete islands were installed on Amigo Street to enhance safety and traffic control. These are designed to help slow down vehicles and aid in traffic control, especially at intersections and points of turning.
Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft, a strong advocate for the project, praised the activation of the signal as a crucial step for local safety. “This signal is critically important to the immediately impacted residents who helped advocate for it and to all who utilize this intersection. I hope with this new traffic safety measure in place, neighbors will feel better protected as they use this roadway, whether they are driving, biking, or walking,” he stated.
The project is part of Clark County’s ongoing efforts to address transportation safety and accessibility in the growing residential areas of the Las Vegas Valley.

MountainView Hospital has become the first hospital in Nevada to provide both CAR T-cell therapy and allogeneic stem cell transplants, indicating a significant advancement in cancer care in the state.
The CAR T-cell therapy and the allogeneic stem cell transplants will now be available in Nevada as part of the newly opened Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program, which will deliver life-saving options to patients who previously would have had to travel out of state for the newest treatments.
“At least half, if not more, of people who get diagnoses like acute leukemia, myeloma, are not able to leave the state, and so they are left with just the outcome that they would get with standard therapies. And that’s frequently not curative, so it’s a huge deal,” explained Dr. Carolyn Mulroney, Medical Director of the program.
The program operates from a new 12,000-square-foot facility at MountainView Day Hospital, staffed by transplant and oncology specialists recruited from across the country. It has already proven transformative for patients like Aryanna Scott Brewer, a Las Vegas mother who was diagnosed with blood cancer during pregnancy. After undergoing chemotherapy and radiation without success, she entered remission through CAR T-cell therapy.
Her daughter, Ruby Rae, was born prematurely at one pound and three ounces. After spending 442 days in the hospital, Ruby is now home and continuing to recover.
Despite these advancements, challenges remain. Brewer’s husband, Scott Brewer, continues to travel out of state due to a lack of local pediatric oncology specialists. “Every two weeks, I am going back and forth to California… You miss out on a lot. I missed a couple holidays, a couple of birthdays,” he recounted.
Looking to the future, Intermountain Health has announced plans for a $1 billion, 150-bed children’s hospital in Las Vegas, scheduled to open in 2030. The facility is expected to strengthen the region’s pediatric healthcare services and reduce the need for families to seek care in neighboring states.

With the massive heat wave stretching temperatures upwards of 100 degrees, mechanics in Las Vegas want to alert car drivers about the dangers of extreme heat to their vehicle tires. Heat can make the tire rubber dry out, and this will cause cracks to form along the side walls of tires. This condition can lead to severe tire separation and blowouts if left untreated.
Ken Hartig, a service adviser at Wally’s Precision Auto Care, reports a noticeable uptick in customers dealing with tire-related issues as summer conditions intensify. “We see a good number of cars. We inspect the tires every time the cars come in for any type of service, and we do find quite a few with excessive cracking,” Hartig said.
Mechanics explain that moisture loss in tire rubber, compounded by underinflation and heavy vehicle loads, puts additional strain on tires during hot weather. According to Hartig, all drivers should make a commitment to checking tire pressure and maintaining proper tire pressure to lower their risk of a sudden failure while driving.
On top of checking tire pressure, experts recommend periodic tire rotations, checking tires for observable damage to the sidewall, and checking to see that the vehicle’s alignment is within the manufacturer’s specifications. Parking in shaded areas and reducing unnecessary weight in vehicles are also simple ways to reduce long-term wear and tear.
During the hot summer months, road temperatures can be much higher than the air temperatures, and as many people are aware, vehicle safety starts with the ground. Regular tire maintenance can not only prevent accidents, but it may also prolong one of a vehicle’s most important safety features.

Stoney’s Rockin’ Country, a staple of Las Vegas nightlife, is set to close its current location at the end of 2025, but the beloved brand isn’t going far. A new, expanded venue is coming to the Sunset Station Hotel and Casino in Henderson, Nevada, with construction scheduled to begin in August 2025 and an anticipated opening in 2026. The move marks a significant step forward for Porchlight Hospitality, which owns the Stoney’s brand.
“We’re thrilled to bring the spirit of country music and expand our footprint with the opening of Stoney’s inside Sunset Station,” said Paul Lowden, president of Porchlight Hospitality.
The new venue will cover 19,000 square feet and has a separate live-performance stage, a mechanical bull, and several VIP areas for private parties and special events. The Henderson location will also have everything you can expect from the brand, including nightly live country music, DJs, themed events, and dance lessons, allowing both long-time friends and those new to the brand to experience the vision.
This benchmark succeeds Stoney’s North Forty debut at Santa Fe Station in northwest Las Vegas in 2023. This venue was the first piece of a planned regional expansion, and it increased the brand’s exposure all the way to the Stoney’s name. The Sunset Station venue will continue to grow the brand position as the premier venue for country music fans throughout the Las Vegas area.
Since originally launching, Stoney’s Rockin’ Country has built a loyal following and has received national attention, including a campaign rally for former president Donald Trump in 2023. The site’s move to Henderson, conveniently next to the brand new Station Casino, makes sense, as Station Casinos has been working on improving local entertainment in Southern Nevada.
As Stoney’s prepares to bid farewell to its current home, fans can expect a larger, more dynamic venue designed to elevate the country nightlife experience in 2026 and beyond.

Terry Fator, the renowned ventriloquist, impressionist, and Las Vegas headliner, will perform alongside the Las Vegas Philharmonic on June 21 in a unique one-night-only concert titled In My Own Voice: An Intimate Evening with Terry Fator. The performance will be held at Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center in downtown Las Vegas.
This occasion is an extraordinary milestone: the anniversary of Fator’s successful residency at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower with comedy, puppets, and singing. But this performance will provide a different experience. For one night, Fator will put away the puppets and use his own voice to present programmed selections of Broadway showstoppers, American standards, and original songs.

Bruce Springsteen – “Born in the U.S.A.”In the decades since its release in 1984, Bruce Springsteen’s classic song “Born in the U.S.A.” continues to be thought of by some to be a “rah-rah” American anthem. In reality, the song is about the challenges many Vietnam veterans faced upon their return from the war and the lack of support they received in the aftermath of their service. Plenty of politicians have confused the song to be a nationalist rallying cry. Among them have been President Ronald Reagan and President Donald Trump. Perhaps, one day, these politicians will read the lyrics.
John Mellencamp – “R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.”One of America’s greatest exports and points of pride is its music. John Mellencamp recognized that and name-checks some of his biggest influences from the 1960s in “R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.” Those name-checked artists include Frankie Lyman, Bobby Fuller, Mitch Ryder, Jackie Wilson, The Shangri-Las, Young Rascals, Martha Reeves, and James Brown.

Written by Paul Simon, “America” tells the story of a young couple traveling across the country “to look for America.” Its longing and optimism about being in search of the “American Dream” and its promises still resonate decades later, whether you were born in the United States or came to the country in search of a better life.
Creedence Clearwater Revival – “Fortunate Son”Seriously, what is it about the misinterpretation of protest songs? Another example of this comes via Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Fortunate Son.” John Fogerty, who was drafted in 1966 and served in the Army Reserve until 1968, wrote the song about how many privileged and wealthy people managed to avoid the draft.
The song was used during a 2020 rally for President Donald Trump, who received five draft deferments: Four from being a student enrolled in college and a fifth following graduating from college in the spring of 1968 after being diagnosed with bone spurs in his heels. Fogerty ended up issuing a cease and desist order to the Trump campaign. In a statement, Fogerty said, in part, “I wrote this song because, as a veteran, I was disgusted that some people were allowed to be excluded from serving our country because they had access to political and financial privilege. I also wrote about wealthy people not paying their fair share of taxes.”
Rick Derringer – “Real American”Few patriotic rock anthems are as popular as the late Rick Derringer’s “Real American,” which is cemented into pop culture due to being the entrance theme for legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan. In 2015, Derringer told Rolling Stone about “Real American,” “That song is becoming the new national anthem. I never intended it for the WWF; my partner and I, who wrote it, when we listened back to that one, we actually cried. I remember thinking, ‘We have written the most patriotic song of all time.'”
Derringer really isn’t wrong; “Real American” still rules to this day.

Construction is set to begin on June 16 on a major infrastructure project along Las Vegas Boulevard, between Russell Road and Tropicana Avenue. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and expect significant travel impacts. According to Clark County officials, the Las Vegas Boulevard Project, Phases C and D, is a two-year, $60 million effort that will upgrade both underground and surface infrastructure, including the replacement of the waterline serving the area for the Las Vegas Valley Water District.
According to News3LV, initial traffic restrictions will begin with overnight lane reductions on southbound Las Vegas Boulevard starting June 16. Work will take place Monday through Thursday from midnight to 9:00 a.m. and Fridays from midnight to 8:00 a.m., with periodic lane and intersection closures expected throughout the project’s duration.
The scope of the project not only covers waterline replacement but also includes roadway resurfacing, a new traffic signal system, new lighting improvements, and new pedestrian protection bollards. The improvements will ultimately improve safety and the flow of traffic along this important corridor.
Drivers are reminded to use caution while traveling through construction zones and, if possible, look to detour around the area to reduce delays. Message boards will be placed in the area to provide notification of changes to traffic patterns for motorists and adjacent residents. Schedules can change with little notice, so all officials recommend checking real-time navigation apps and the Clark County website for real-time updates on lane restrictions and construction status.

On June 10, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) introduced a new campaign inspired by a decline in tourist numbers and international travel in 2025. Called Locals Unlocked, the campaign encourages Southern Nevada residents to experience and support attractions in their backyard.
“We know that some people are opting not to travel far, so let’s show them what they have in their own backyard,” officials said during the Tuesday presentation. With travel costs rising and tourism in Las Vegas facing a slowdown, the campaign aims to connect locals with nearby experiences that offer both entertainment and affordability. The Locals Unlocked campaign features a tourism webpage that showcases a range of staycation options, activity deals, and family-friendly events for residents of the Valley.
In addition to discounts and curated ideas, it will include a section dedicated to free things to do in the area, to help families and individuals find no-cost activities or entertainment. Among the featured destinations are Cowabunga Bay and Cowabunga Canyon, two of the region’s most popular water parks.
Regional General Manager Jessi O’Daniel praised the campaign’s emphasis on community engagement: “We’re the ‘local’ place to go, and so we love being that little piece of paradise where families can come and escape, or adults can come grab a margarita and float the lazy river,” said O’Daniel. “It’s great for locals to come out and support the business. That is how businesses in this area thrive,” she added.
O’Daniel noted that special promotions are on the way, including family packs and summer discounts, aimed at making the parks even more accessible during the hottest months of the year.

Sphere Entertainment announced that The Wizard of Oz at Sphere will be on Aug. 28, where audiences can enjoy a fully immersive experience at the Las Vegas Sphere.
Alongside Warner Bros. Discovery, Google, and immersive media company Magnopus, the production will present a recreation of the iconic 1939 film through multi-sensorial storytelling and a dynamic and high-tech production.

The 75-minute experience features remastered musical numbers performed by an 80-piece orchestra and is projected on the Sphere’s 160,000-square-foot screen — among the largest in the world. Supported by 167,000 speakers, the show will immerse guests in the story through vivid visuals, surround sound, and interactive environmental elements, including wind, haptic feedback, and custom scents such as the scent of poppies.
“We thought it was appropriate to start with a stunt that really matches the size and scale of Sphere,” Sphere president and COO Jennifer Koester tells The Hollywood Reporter in an interview. A striking promotional installation — featuring the Wicked Witch of the East’s 50-foot legs and 22-foot-tall ruby slippers — has already appeared outside the venue, drawing widespread attention.
Koester adds, “The Wizard of Oz at Sphere will be this immersive experience. It’s not a passive viewing experience. You’re not going to watch a movie; you are going to live a movie. You’re going to feel it, to see it, to touch it, to smell it.”
Over a year in development, the project incorporates AI enhancements while preserving the original film’s integrity. Performances will run daily, with both matinee and evening options, though the show will not be available on select blackout dates. The Henderson City Council has unanimously approved plans for The Cliff, a $50 million open-air retail development in the Green Valley Ranch neighborhood. Spearheaded by Partners Capital and CAST Capital Partners, the project will transform 10 acres near Paseo Verde and St. Rose parkways — currently home to aging office buildings — into a dynamic 100,000-square-foot shopping plaza.
Billed as the largest retail development in Henderson since The District at Green Valley Ranch opened in 2004, The Cliff is designed to revitalize the local shopping scene with 25 retail spaces, an outdoor dining lounge, fire pits, live performance areas, public art installations, and meeting zones. This new development intends to cater to both residents and visitors as a new central gathering space for a contemporary community.
Construction could start as early as the end of this year, with a targeted opening in the fall of 2026. An announcement regarding tenants will be made within weeks, with the developers saying a mix of local and national brands will anchor the center.
“The Cliff is where you’ll bring your out-of-town guests, where families and friends come together, where you’ll say ‘let’s meet at The Cliff,’” said a representative of the development team. “It’s a response to a retail landscape that hasn’t evolved in two decades — and as locals, we know Henderson deserves more.”
To move the project forward, the council approved essential zoning changes and master plan amendments, reflecting a strong commitment to boosting the local economy and addressing residents’ calls for elevated retail and entertainment options.

The Blue Man Group celebrates 25 years performing its show in Las Vegas, a noteworthy accomplishment for a non-Cirque du Soleil production on the Strip. The show first premiered at the Luxor in January 2000, and it has survived years of change and competition in the Las Vegas entertainment landscape.
Created by Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton, and Chris Wink in New York in 1987, the Blue Men became known for their visually compelling performances that explore themes of technology, art, and connection. Their off-Broadway show ran from 1991 to February 2025, laying the foundation for global productions and a long-standing presence in Vegas.
“It’s always [been] a big collaborative effort,” says company captain Kalen Allmandinger. “When Chris, Matt, and Phil were still front-and-center running the company, they were very active about seeking out input. We would have rehearsals together where we would just workshop ideas, and they would kind of act as directors to pick and choose the direction we were going to move in with any particular piece.”
Blue Man Group’s distinctive style — a fusion of rock concert, theater, and avant-garde performance — continues to influence the broader Las Vegas entertainment industry. “It’s not a play; it’s not a theater show. … It’s like a hybrid of a rock concert, a theatrical show and maybe a more abstract, vaudeville type of experience,” says Allmandinger. “It’s a mishmash of a lot of different things. And just because it happens in a theater doesn’t mean we have to play by those rules.”
Beyond performance, BMG maintains a strong commitment to accessibility and community involvement. “We have an ongoing relationship with Grant a Gift Autism Foundation, where we do sensory-friendly performances every year,” Allmandinger adds.
Byron Estep, artistic director, describes the Blue Men as a collective that creates creative continuity and allows for creative travel beyond one individual. Estep believes there will be future opportunities for BMG to grow, such as expanding into new media forms while maintaining the brand’s energy level and audience rapport.

The first-ever Fallout Fringe Festival is set up in downtown Las Vegas and is a unique celebration of experimental theatre, continuing through June 25. Take it from actor and playwright Ernest Hemmings, who is the lead in the Festival, as he shares over 30 shows and 115 performances across five venues. Many of the artists and presenters weren’t even planning for this festival to happen; it was born out of an informal conversation between Hemmings and actress Breon Jenay, which quickly snowballed into a theatre festival.

Approximately 80% of the festival’s programming is sourced from local artists, underscoring the strength and diversity of Las Vegas’s creative community. Although the Vegas Theatre Company is not producing new work specifically for the event, it has contributed significantly to the logistical support, hosting 12 shows and providing rehearsal and technical resources.
Troy Heard, founding artistic director of Majestic Repertory Theatre, praised the event’s potential to reshape the local arts landscape. Heard described the festival as a big leap in the evolution of Las Vegas theater, emphasizing that it was about new ideas and a willingness to take artistic risks.
Hemmings indicated that he is focused on “bleeding-edge work,” which brings and expands ideas that exceed known forms and conventions to Las Vegas. He intends to take future editions of the festival beyond downtown, so that several neighborhoods across the city can participate, and all of the community can engage with and benefit from the arts.
Festival highlights include a range of provocative and unconventional productions, such as “Anne Zander Is Mother,” a surreal take on identity and performance, and Kym Priess’s “Loser Lion Party Bus,” which leans into shock and humor. Hemmings himself penned three featured shows — “Everyone Loves Dick,” “The Holy Church of Bezos,” and another still under wraps — each showcasing the offbeat and satirical tone he champions.
Also featured are boundary-pushing works like “Puppet Slam Pride” by Loose Thread Puppet Cult and “Sockspeare’s Hamlet” by Poor Richard’s Players, proving that puppetry can be as irreverent and daring as any fringe performance.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) board of directors has approved spending $55,000 to support free monorail rides for Strip employees affected by traffic delays caused by the extensive construction for the 2025 Formula One race. It was approved on June 10 as a way to assist local workers who will be indirectly affected by extended transportation times resulting from changed traffic patterns due to the two-year build-up to Formula One.
“I represent tons of people that work on that Strip — tons of people, day in and day out, that are fighting the traffic, that have no direction,” Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick said in 2023. “They don’t know how long it might take them on any particular day.”
To be eligible for the monorail service, employees must work within a defined zone: Russell Road to the south, St. Louis Avenue to the north, Frank Sinatra Boulevard and Davis Jr. Drive to the west, and Joe W. Brown Drive and South University Center Drive to the east. While some resorts have already taken steps by issuing monorail passes to their staff, others have turned to shuttles operating from the Las Vegas Convention Center parking lot.
The Las Vegas Monorail, which typically costs $1 for a ride or $10 for a five-day pass for local commuters, travels between key Strip locations and offers rapid access during busy periods with heavy traffic. The LVCVA’s funding is an effort to fill gaps when employers do not provide assistance and to help secure reliable access to work, in preparation for Formula One.

Las Vegas Lights FC is moving on from head coach Antonio Nocerino immediately, after talks with Sporting Director Gianleonardo Neglia. The move comes with the team just one point out of a playoff position in the USL Championship.
“I am grateful for Antonio’s contributions to this club since joining ahead of the 2025 season,” said Neglia. “We agreed that now is the right time for Antonio to step away as we sit one point out of the playoff positions. I appreciate his professionalism throughout his time in Las Vegas and wish him the best in his next opportunity.”
Nocerino, a former Italian international and MLS veteran, took the helm earlier this year. While results have been competitive, both sides agreed it was time for a transition. Assistant Coach Giovanni Troise will assume interim training duties as the team prepares to face Monterey Bay FC on June 14.
The change comes as discussions continue regarding the club’s future. Earlier in 2025, the Cashman Center — the stadium where the team plays its home games — was sold to a national homebuilder, Lennar. However, the Lights are expected to continue playing at the stadium for the rest of this season and into 2026.

Elandon Roberts is an experienced linebacker with two Super Bowl championships, bringing immediate value to Las Vegas after signing a one-year, $3-million deal with the Raiders in March of 2025. After a short term with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Raiders signed the 31-year-old linebacker because he carried an abundance of information, experience, and an exceptional talent for being an elite run defender.
“I mean, it’s the Raiders,” Roberts said. “What wouldn’t attract anyone to the Raiders? Just the foundation that was set with this organization way back, even before my time.”
Roberts is expected to wear the ‘green dot’ helmet this season, giving him a central role in defensive communication. He has already been directing teammates during offseason practices and building chemistry with defensive coordinator Patrick Graham and fellow veteran Maxx Crosby.

Yes, the man who once survived zombies, the Trojan War, and George Clooney’s pranks is apparently no match for post-divorce family issues.
Brad Pitt and His Strained Relationship with His Kids A source told Us Weekly that the F1 actor remains estranged from most of his children with Angelina Jolie despite “several efforts to reconnect.” As such, this caused him “a lot of heartbreak” and causes “a deep emotional weight” for him.
Pitt shares six children with Jolie. Adopted children Maddox, Pax, and Zahara, and biological children Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. Pitt reportedly only sees the twins periodically, while the source claimed, “The rest of the relationships are strained.”
Some of the children have even publicly distanced themselves from him. Shiloh, during her 18th birthday legally dropped “Pitt” from her name, while Zahara and Vivienne only use “Jolie.” Maddox when asked about his relationship with Pitt, just said, “Well, whatever happens, happens.”
Pax, on the other hand, has been more vocal about his feelings toward Pitt. In 2020, he wrote, “Happy Father’s Day to this world class a–hole!! You time and time again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person. You have no consideration or empathy toward your 4 youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence.”
Hopeful Pitt Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016. She alleged that in a flight from Nice to the US, Pitt grabbed her by the head and shook her, choked one of their kids, and struck another who tried to defend her. She claimed that Pitt also poured alcohol on her and their children.
A source told Page Six, “Brad admitted that his behavior on the plane was wrong. He took steps to improve himself.” Pitt revealed in a 2017 GQ interview that he had quit drinking: “I don’t have that ability to do just one or two [drinks] a day. It’s not in my makeup. I’m all in. And I’m going to drive into the ground. I’ve lost my privileges.”

Vroom vroom, Marvel fans, there’s a new rumor speeding around faster than Lewis Hamilton on the racetrack: Damson Idris, the F1 star, might just be the next Black Panther. Rumors about MCU recasting Black Panther have been going around, and while some fans are against it, director Ryan Coogler promised “everything will be handled with the utmost care and in consultation with Boseman’s family.” Chadwick Boseman played the character until his death in 2020.
Who is Damson Idris? If you’ve somehow missed Idris dominating the small screens and social media, let’s get you caught up. He played drug kingpin Franklin Saint on Snowfall, but unlike his on-screen alter ego, Idris is 100% charming, and 0% cartel. He’s charismatic, and did we mention he’s British?
And after his Fast & Furious-like turn in the movie F1 (co-produced by Brad Pitt, no less), he’s zoomed his way into even more hearts, and possibly on his way to Wakanda?
Idris as Black Panther In a recent appearance on the Today show to promote his racing movie, co-host Craig Melvin asked the actor about the rumors. Idris seems to be already sworn into secrecy, smirked, and when asked if he “had any conversations about” the role, the Outside the Wire actor said, “Yes-no!”
When Melvin asked him, “If they asked, would you say yes?” Idris did say, “Yes.”

Denzel Washington as Black Panther 3’s Main Villain? It might take time for confirmation on whether Idris will be the next Wakandan king, but what we know of the third movie is that Coogler did write a part for Denzel Washington. The director said of the established actor, “I’ve been dying to work with Denzel. I’m hoping we can make that happen. I’ve got every intention of working with him on that movie. As long as he’s interested, man, it’s going to happen. He’s a living legend and a great mentor for so many of us. He’s all about looking out for us, now.”
Washington, on his part, expressed his enthusiasm for working with Coogler: “For me, it’s about the filmmaker, especially at this point in my career. I’m only interested in working with the best. I don’t know how many more films I’m going to make; probably not that many. I want to do things I haven’t done…Ryan Coogler’s writing a part for me in the next Black Panther.”
There is no official release date for Black Panther 3, but according to Movie Web, Marvel Studios has currently scheduled it for a February 18, 2028 release date.

Next week, Bruce Springsteen will release Tracks II: The Lost Albums, a box set containing seven never-heard albums he created between 1983 and 2018. Believe it or not, The Boss has even more “lost albums.”
In a new interview with The New York Times, Springsteen shared that a follow-up release, appropriately titled Tracks III, is already finished. This set features material recorded all the way back to his 1973 debut album, Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J., up to 2024.
“So there was a lot of good music left,” said Springsteen. “There are five full albums of music.”
Details on the New Bruce Springsteen Box Set Tracks IIWhile a release date for Tracks III wasn’t confirmed, Tracks II: The Lost Albums comes out on June 27. In a trailer for the epic Tracks II, Springsteen says, “I often read about myself in the ’90s as having a ‘lost period’ or something. And really, I was working the whole time. During the pandemic, what I did for that period of time was finish everything I had in my vault.”
He continues, “So, this is ‘Tracks II.’ ‘The Lost Albums’ are records that were full records, some of them even to the point of being mixed and not released for some reason or another. Something I thought was missing from some of them or they just didn’t feel complete at the time.”
Within those seven albums are 82 previously unreleased songs. Among those tracks, 74 of them are never-before-heard songs. The album title breakdown within Tracks II: The Lost Albums is as follows:

At Lurie Children’s Hospital, a high school graduation took place for a student who was awaiting his heart transplant.
The DiagnosisHis name is Taevion Norris. Taevion was a normal student at his high school. But out of no where, his teachers started to notice something out of the norm with him. His teachers started to worry because Taevion started to struggle in his gym class.
Norris was taken to Lurie’s Children’s Hospital in Chicago to have tests done. According to ABC 7 Eyewitness News, Dr. Katheryn Gambetta at Lurie’s said, “If starts as skeletal muscle weakness that progresses to respiratory and then cardiac muscle weakness.”
After all the tests, the doctors at Lurie discovered that muscular dystrophy essentially led to Taevion’s heart to fail. He is now in search of a new heart.
A Special Graduation For A Special Student18-year-old Norris has been at Lurie Children’s Hospital since he was diagnosed. This meant that he would not only miss school, but also miss his graduation.
The hospital staff at the hospital didn’t want Taevion to miss such a momentous occasion, so they wanted to make sure he was able to graduate.
They dressed him in a cap and gown in the hospital. He was then given his diploma. Norris has officially graduated from West Leyden High School in Northlake.
Taevion’s mother was so excited and happy for her son. She told ABC 7 Eyewitness News, “He’s still here and he was able to graduate and I’m so happy because I thought he wasn’t going to make it, but he made it and today he graduated and I’m so happy.”
The doctors have said they hope and expect Taevion to receive his heart transplant in the coming weeks. His mother is excited and hopeful that he will make a full recovery after his transplant.

Police tracked down a rare 1966 Gibson EM-50 mandolin on June 16. The prized instrument vanished before Heart’s May 30 concert at Hard Rock Casino, marking the second recovery of the band’s stolen gear.
A tip led detectives to someone with the mandolin, who turned it in without incident. Just days before, officers had found a custom purple Telecaster guitar — the first of the missing instruments.
“I could not be prouder of the work done by the detectives in our Criminal Investigations Section,” said Chief James A. Sarkos to CBS Philadelphia. “They understood the sentimentality of these instruments and worked incredibly hard to bring them home.”
The investigation led to 57-year-old Garfield Bennett of Pleasantville, NJ. Security footage caught him selling the guitar to a woman on Pacific Avenue. Officers traced her car through plate readers.
The mandolin had been with musician Paul Moak for over two decades.
Hard Rock staff will return both instruments to the band. On social media, Nancy Wilson expressed thanks for the guitar’s return, noting the mandolin’s deep personal worth.
Detective Zayon Pitts cracked the case after receiving crucial information. His team pieced together scattered evidence to pinpoint the mandolin’s whereabouts.
The suspect sits in Atlantic County Jail facing burglary and theft charges.
Sisters Nancy and Ann Wilson, who front the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame group, earned a lifetime achievement honor from the Recording Academy in 2023. Their chart-toppers include “Magic Man” and “Crazy on You.”

Back in Van Halen’s early days, singer David Lee Roth had a crafty plan. He’d tell Eddie to play with his back turned to the crowd, keeping the guitarist’s special two-handed method a mystery. “Turn your back to the audience, dude, because you got this thing, and you don’t want everybody to see it,” former bassist Michael Anthony said on a recent episode of the Get on the Bus podcast.
Musicians got sneaky. They’d press their ears against the practice space walls, desperate to crack the code of Eddie’s sound. During breaks, Anthony would spot them lurking near the garage door.
“The tapping wasn’t the whole story,” Anthony pointed out. Eddie mixed quick finger moves with slides in ways no one had tried. His style stood apart from every other player at the time.
Anthony played with Van Halen until Wolfgang took over in 2006. Bad feelings grew after the switch, but signs of peace showed up before Eddie’s final days.
Time slipped away for old wounds to heal. Before Eddie died in 2020, his son Wolfgang had talked about getting everyone back on stage. “Eddie and I never patched things up,” Anthony admitted. “We had our problems, but I know we would’ve worked it out if he’d lived longer.”
New sounds might still surface. Alex Van Halen wants to use computer tech to finish his brother’s unheard music. Guitarist Steve Lukather will help sort through the tracks, though they haven’t picked when to share them.

Bryan Adams announced a massive tour across North America starting September 11, 2025. The shows start in Kamloops, British Columbia, then wind through cities in Canada and the U.S.
“I’m so thrilled to be announcing the North American leg of the Roll with the Punches Tour. We’ll be playing all the classics, some deep cuts, and sharing some brand-new tracks from the forthcoming album,” Adams said in a press release.
Canadian fans get first dibs on 19 shows. After that, Adams crosses the border for 21 U.S. performances. Starting October 25 in Uncasville, Connecticut, the music rolls on until the final show lights up Minneapolis on November 26. Some notable U.S. stops include:
- TD Garden, Boston, MA on Oct. 26
- Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, PA on Oct. 29
- Madison Square Garden, New York, NY on Oct. 30

Here’s the question, is this something more and more women are doing…or no? We’re talking about “spitting”! The Mike & Carla Morning Show brought this up only because Carla Rea got busted doing it the other day.
While out for a run, drinking water, she said she felt a little “flemmy” (if that’s even a word), so she thought she would spit it out. Low and behold, a couple walking by had that look of disgust on their face.
So, we just wanted to know if Carla is the only woman who will spit every once in a while? Well, guess what? She is NOT! A few ladies called in to proudly announce that they stand with Carla and are not ashamed of their little habit!
Is This Something More And More Women Are Doing? Of course, if you’re interested in a little history on the topic, there is an article that dates back a few years. The Smithsonian put out an article when a woman-led campaign tried to make it illegal to spit in New York City.
This is how much times have changed. Once not even acceptable in certain cities for either men or women to do it, now we’re finding out how many females actually engage!
It’s quite the topic this morning as one caller even said that his grandmother could “…spit and hit a grasshopper at 15 paces!” We will assume that is a compliment right?
Nonetheless, it got the text lines going. Most women admitted that this is not a habit just reserved for men. However, they did say, as Carla did, this was NOT of a reaching deep down type spit, but a lady like type thing.

The former singer of Journey brought in $215,000 by selling his music items to aid those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires in Altadena. The money went to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.
His handwritten lyrics for “Don’t Stop Believin'” sold for $43,500, making it the top seller among 50 items from his private collection. Darkives Collectibles ran the sale, which included signed gear, vintage items, and rare music.
“It means the world to me to see these personal pieces, many of which carry deep memories from different chapters of my life, find new homes while helping a cause that matters so deeply to me,” said Perry to Antimusic.
Written lyrics to “Faithfully” brought $12,000. A signed award showing Journey’s platinum sales went for more than $10,000. Fans bid on gold and platinum records, concert shirts, and a “JRNEYFAN” plate from New Jersey.
Aric Steinberg, who runs Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, told Bravewords, “Steve has supported Sweet Relief for many years, he truly cares about the music community and this is another example of his kindness and generosity. The fire relief efforts in LA are ongoing and thousands of musicians and music industry professionals are still in desperate financial distress.”
The sale put up test copies and signed versions of Perry’s 1984 “Street Talk” solo work, plus Journey’s “E5C4P3” and “Frontiers.” Audio Media Grading checked each item before the auction.
This month saw Perry team up with Willie Nelson. They sang “Faithfully” as a pair at Ronnie’s Place in Nashville and Perry’s Love Box studio. Mike Rojas played piano, James Mitchell added electric guitar, and Mickey Raphael joined in on harmonica.
Victoria Williams started Sweet Relief Musicians Fund back in 1994. The group puts all money toward fire victims and doesn’t incur overhead costs.

Mariah Carey hits another big milestone as “Type Dangerous” made its way to No. 95 on the Billboard Hot 100. This marks her 50th song to crack the chart since she first burst onto the scene in 1990.
The track garnered 2.5 million streams while radio stations played it 14.7 million times in its first week, according to the Luminate tracking data noted in Billboard. Released June 6, it stands as her first non-Christmas solo work since 2015.
Breaking ground on multiple radio charts, the song reached No. 7 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. Not since Whitney Houston’s “Exhale” in 1995 has any track debuted so high on that list.
“Type Dangerous” sets the stage for what’s next — Carey’s 16th album, her first full set of songs since Caution dropped in 2018. She lit up the stage with this track at the 2025 BET Awards, where she took home the Ultimate Icon Award.
Her winning streak keeps going strong. The unstoppable holiday hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has held the top spot on the Hot 100 for 18 weeks during the holiday season since 2019. With 19 No. 1 hits total, she’s just one shy of matching The Beatles’ record.
The song made its mark elsewhere, too. It claimed the No. 4 spot on Digital Song Sales and showed up on six other Billboard lists — from Adult R&B Airplay at No. 15 to Pop Airplay at No. 38.
This release marks a fresh start with Gamma, her first time working with an independent label. The track, out through her own MARIAH brand, carries her stamp both in production and writing.

So, for the past 18 years, Terry Fator has been performing as a Las Vegas Headliner via “America’s Got Talent”. Terry has been very successful featuring his cast of characters during each show. Terry is one man with hundreds of different voices and is one of the world’s top ventriloquists.
Las Vegas Headliner To Perform At The Smith CenterBut come this Saturday night, Terry is stepping out on his own. Backed by the 67 piece Las Vegas Philharmonic orchestra, Terry Fator will be singing in his own voice at The Smith Center!
During our visit, we come to find out that Terry was a lead singer of a country rock band. So, it’s not like this will be out of character for him…but it has been awhile. He told The M&C Morning Show that they have been rehearsing for awhile and is something he is looking forward to.
Terry will be looking forward to singing in his own voice American standards as well as songs from Broadway. But really looking forward to singing his own songs…and even moving his lips!
This will be Terry Fator as you’ve never seen him before and it’s something his been looking forward to doing for years. And to do it at this venue with the orchestra is truly a dream come true.

Each state in the United States has its own special charm and adventure, as well as things to do in that state that are very homegrown. In a sense, each state has its own renowned vacation spot. So, locals really don’t have to venture outside of the state to have a unique vacation experience. Now, HGTV has named the best adventures across the U.S. in each state, including this one.
An Adventure Right in the StateAccording to AYTM Research, around 27% of travelers decided to vacation within their own state in 2024. Meanwhile, 57% of those surveyed said they were venturing out of state, and 9% were going to a different country. “Among those staying local, California, Florida and Texas are top spots,” AYTM Research adds. “For out-of-state travelers, Florida leads the pack, followed by California, North Carolina, Nevada and New York.”
The folks at HGTV have put together a roster of the best adventures to do in each state, so it’s great for those who don’t want to head outside of the state for a trip. “Some of these attractions and activities are below the radar and some are the popular must-dos in every state,” they stated in the feature. “The travel experts at HGTV have rounded up a key site to visit in each state. See how many of our bucket list adventures you have visited.”
Some of the places are a total given, such as the Joshua Tree National Park in California, which is obviously one of the biggest tourist attractions in the country, or the famed and numerous natural hot springs in Idaho. Other picks are a little more under-the-radar, which makes for a fun assortment of things to do across the U.S.
So, what about Nevada? In this state, HGTV raves about the famed Extraterrestrial Highway, where you never know what you’re going to see. “Lookout for unidentified flying objects on Extraterrestrial Highway, a 92-mile stretch of State Route 375 in Nevada near Area 51, the notorious U.S. military installation known for reported UFO sightings,” HGTV states. That’s a bit scary but also fun.

Celebrity Tattoo Artist Bang Bang an Innovator in Tattoo Technology Bang Bang teamed up with Austin’s Blackdot to launch a machine that’s like an embroidery machine that “maps out” the skin before it tattoos. Bang Bang explained via People, “It’s measuring the landscape of skin to the micron. It’s measuring the needle before it uses it to understand exactly how perfect that needle was manufactured. It is the most precise tattoo machine I’ve ever seen. It does things humans cannot do, and as a tattoo artist, that’s really exciting. It makes me wonder what I can’t tattoo with my hands? What ability does this give me?”

No Replacing Artists Bang Bang is crystal clear: the machine doesn’t replace the artist: “This has nothing on me. It just adds to what we can do.” He explained, “If someone comes in and wants a tattoo from Mr. K, but he’s not here, he could still draw the art, and the robot could do the tattoo.” Bang Bang added that the robot is more precise with its needlework and so far, he has not yet encountered any problems with customers who did their tattoos using the robot.
Bang Bang also said there’s another added advantage, especially for tattoo artists whose hands aren’t as steady. The artist’s creativity can live on through the robot.
Bang Bang’s studio tested the robot on themselves first and examined it under a microscope to see how precise it was. As of now, A.E.R.O is only available in Bang Bang’s studio but will be rolled out to other shops soon. Clients can now book appointments for their tattoos, although the clients will have to choose from a selection of tattoos.

Gen Z says yes to sex – in the office. Yes, sex
In a new poll, Gen Z’ers said they’re having more sex while working remotely. And many said that if they return to the office, they’d like to have “private spaces for hookups and solo play during the workday.”
Gen Z Wants To Have Sex In The OfficeSome employers are offering all kinds of incentives to sweeten the deal, for workers coming back into the office, and to get them back in the office setting. But apparently one thing that Gen Z would really like, is some make out space. Sort of.
In a new poll, 47% of Gen Z’ers said they’re having more sex while working remotely, because of the more flexible schedules. Technically, they didn’t say they were getting any action while they are on the clock.
But, when it comes to things they’d like to see added to the office, 38% said they’d like to have “private spaces for hookups and solo play during the workday.” So they could, quote, “take a break,” alone or with a coworker. So – sex in the office.
Overall, 31% of Gen Z’ers worry that returning to the office would negatively impact their sex lives, and disrupt their “work-life balance.” Sadly, work tends to do that…
Not all Gen Z’ers are upset about returning to the office. Most say that being around others helps to improve their confidence, while about 18% said spending time with colleagues boosts their mood.
So How Do You Say ‘Hey, Let’s Go…’Now keep in mind, even if offices follow through, it doesn’t mean it’s suddenly okay to turn to a coworker and say, “hey, let’s go b**g!” So here are a few “code” phrases that might work:
- Refilling the paper tray.
- Testing a wi-fi connection.
- Holding an all-hands meeting.
- Sharing a laptop.
- Feeding the shredder.
- Cleaning out an inbox.
- Gathering for a PowerPoint.

The trailer for Deliver Me From Nowhere, the new Bruce Springsteen biopic, has been released, and it’s setting up the film to be a potential box office hit.
In the trailer, we get to hear Jeremy Allen White take on Springsteen’s vocals for the first time, and he sounds pretty great. Perhaps more importantly, and unexpectantly, we see Jeremy Strong as longtime Springsteen manager Jon Landau, who demonstrates just how much Landau believes in the singer-songwriter. In fact, Strong said in a January interview with Deadline that Deliver Me From Nowhere is “a love story in a sense between these two men.”
“Jon was a kind and loving mentor that offered the guidance and clarity and equanimity that I think Bruce needed at that moment in his life,” said Strong. “I’ve been witness to their relationship now for the past seven months that I’ve been preparing for this. It’s just been a beautiful thing to see and to have them on set, capturing it with them and weaving together the tapestry.”
The film’s cast also features Emmy Award-winning actor Paul Walter Hauser as Springsteen guitar tech Mike Batlan, Marc Maron as producer/engineer Chuck Plotkin, Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father, Douglas “Dutch” Springsteen, and Gaby Hoffmann as Springsteen’s mother, Adele Springsteen.

When the National Weather Service issued an Extreme Heat Warning, Clark County opened several cooling centers to provide critical services during extreme heat temperatures. The opening of cooling centers aimed to promote public health by protecting vulnerable groups, including those from historically marginalized communities, such as people experiencing homelessness, as well as individuals without access to a guaranteed air-conditioned space.
“The cooling centers are open to people experiencing homelessness and others in the community in need of cool, indoor spaces for respite from the heat,” a Clark County spokesperson stated. In 2024 alone, Clark County reported 524 heat-related deaths.
The centers operated during daytime hours and provided safe, climate-controlled environments for residents seeking refuge from extreme weather conditions. These temporary facilities were located in accessible public buildings throughout the county, including community centers and libraries.
Clark County officials emphasized that the centers were free and open to all, and they encouraged residents to check on neighbors, especially seniors and those with medical conditions, during periods of excessive heat. Water and seating were typically available at each site, although visitors were encouraged to bring any personal items they needed.

Clark County is excited to launch the C.O.O.L. Summer Program, which is a no-cost summer program for young people ages 12-18. The program will take place at Clark High School in Las Vegas from June 23 through July 18. The C.O.O.L. Summer Program will provide safe and engaging summer opportunities for youth living in apartment-dense neighborhoods with few safe and enriching summer activities available.
A collaborative effort between Clark County Commissioners Justin Jones and Tick Segerblom, along with the Vegas Force Foundation, the C.O.O.L. Summer Program — short for Community, Outreach, Opportunity, and Leadership — focuses on more than just entertainment. It provides educational support, recreational opportunities, and essential wraparound services.
“In apartment-dense areas like the neighborhoods surrounding Clark High School, families often face limited access to safe, enriching summer programs,” Commissioner Jones said. “That’s why we launched the C.O.O.L. Summer Program — to fill that gap and provide students with wraparound services that support not only education and recreation but their overall well-being. This is about creating opportunity and stability where it’s needed most.”
Students will have access to a variety of free activities, including sports, leadership games, and creative arts. The program also offers aftercare, transportation, and weekly community resource fairs to support participating families further.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975 – 98 minutes)Fine, we’ll “Say it!”: This is an obvious choice, but it’s a classic for a reason. Actually, it’s a classic for many reasons. The soundtrack is incredible, and the film is always an enjoyable watch, whether you’re sober or in an altered state. For literal decades, it’s the reason why Tim Curry is considered by many to be a sexual awakening.
Despite famously flopping upon release, its cult legend grew thanks to midnight screenings where viewers showed up in costumes, brought props to throw around, and developed their own delightful dialog to yell during the film.
In closing, “SLUT!” (IYKYK.)
This Is Spinal Tap (1984 – 82 minutes)Again, another obvious choice, but it just feels wrong not to include it. This is Spinal Tap lovingly lampooned rock stars, even if some of the cringe moments hit a little too close to home for some rockers. Plus, it had a massive impact on rock culture due to it being endlessly quoteable. For crying out loud, it inspired a list previously published titled “11 Great ‘This Is Spinal Tap’ Quotes That Aren’t‘These Go To 11!’“
The long-awaited sequel, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, is set for release on September 12, 2025, and the premise sounds amazing. Can’t wait to see what these legends cook up!
Velvet Goldmine (1998 – 124 minutes)Have you ever thought to yourself, “What if the cult classic Eddie and the Cruisers had a glam sibling?” No…you haven’t? Well, spoiler: The answer to that question is Velvet Goldmine.
Boasting an incredible cast that includes Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Christian Bale, Toni Collette, Eddie Izzard, and Ewan McGregor (who provides some surprising full-frontal nudity), Velvet Goldmine is the story of glam rock star Brian Slade (Meyers), a David Bowie-esque musician equiped with his own Ziggy Stardust-like persona called Maxwell Demon, who ends up faking his death. A decade after the “death,” a journalist (Bale) is working on a retrospective piece about the incident, and it dovetails with the journalist’s coming out and his surprising connection to the London glam rock scene of the 1970s.
Rock ‘n’ Roll High School (1979 – 93 minutes)For obvious reasons (like the literally explosive ending), a movie like Rock ‘n’ Roll High School could never get made today. But this Roger Corman-produced film remains a fun romp and a camp delight.
Seriously, can you imagine overthrowing a nasty principal and then having your favorite band perform all throughout your school? The whole film is one big fever dream anchored by the Ramones and the super charming P.J. Soles as Riff Randell, the coolest rock chick ever.
Airheads (1994 – 92 minutes)If you watched a lot of Comedy Central in the ’90s and early 2000s, there’s a good chance you accidentally watched Airheads at least a dozen times. (Seriously, even an oral history about the movie from Consequence pointed out the network played Airheads “on a continuous loop.”)
Airheads tells the story of the Lone Rangers, a struggling LA rock band that holds their local rock station hostage to get their demo tape played on the air. As expected, wackiness ensues, and it’s discovered that this beloved rock station is soon going to switch formats to easy listening. Oh, it’s also discovered that the Lone Rangers — played by Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi, and Adam Sandler — are holding the radio station hostage with toy guns.
Add in the likes of Michael McKean, Joe Mantegna, Ernie Hudson, David Arquette, Michael Richards, Chris Farley, and a slew of cameos (LEMMY!), and you just have a kick-ass good time.

Well this got interesting…in Group Therapy, to find out that you might not be my real sister is quite the conundrum right? That’s what popped up this morning on The Mike & Carla Morning when doing a round of Group Therapy.
A woman went home for Father’s Day weekend and got the surprise of her life. While going through some old stuff in the attic with her mom, she found her sister’s birth certificate. One problem though, there was no one listed as her father!
When she mentioned this to her mom, she acted like she had seen a ghost. The young woman knew there was something up right away. But now what do you do? Do you talked to your mom and dad? Do you mention this to your sister?
You Might Not Be My SisterThis is quite the sensitive topic, but we did find an article from The Cradle on how to handle this situation. When to tell your child they are adopted…if this is truly the situation here.
Many of the listeners who took the time to dial in and text in thought the woman she just leave things as they are. With everyone involved grown up, what would you accomplish by telling your sister, their dad is NOT her father.
Others said suggested now that mom knows she knows, maybe the mom should explain what’s going on here. One listener did mention that in some states, if you were married and gave birth, they did not list the father.
However, for medical and maybe some legal reasons, the sister should know who her father is right? It was quite the situation and every one had their own thoughts on it.

You watch baseball and each player has a walk up song when coming up to bat. So, if you were to think about it, what would your walk up song be going into work?
That’s what The Mike & Carla Morning Show wanted to know the other morning. After being at the Aviators game on Sunday, both Mike O’Brian and Carla Rea started talking. What would you have playing when walking into work? Do you have that song that typifies who you are? That represents the best in you? That when you hear it, you think, “yeah, that’s my song!”
What Would Your Walk Up Song BeNow before we get into your walk up song, we think we should get a little history on how this whole thing got started. Actually, Medium had an article on this a few years ago and it all started in Chicago! Playing organ for the White Sox, Nancy Faust came up with the idea without even knowing it for the most part. And now it’s become a big part of the game with each player.
Okay, with all that said, what would be your “walk up” song? For Mike, quite the surprise using the title track from the movie “Flash” performed by the group Queen. Not too pretentious right? On the flipside, Carla had a couple of songs by Herbie Hancock…“Rockit”, the other “Watermelon Man”. Both awesome songs and perfect for her!
As listeners started to call in and text in, there was quite the variety of songs. One listener thought “Highway to Hell” would be very appropriate for her. Another listener thought “Big TIme” by Peter Gabriel suited her needs just fine.

Final performances from rock stars is a rather tricky subject. (In fact, we have a whole list about musicians who lied about retirement.) However, many legendary rock stars have given their final performances, whether they were aware of it or not.
From the poignant to the tragic and everywhere in between, here is a look at the final performances from five legendary rock stars.
Brian WilsonThe music world said goodbye to the brilliant Brian Wilson on June 11, 2025. His final performance ended up being on July 26, 2022 at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, Mich. as part of a co-headlining tour with Chicago. The show was two days after his 80th birthday. Per reports from Rolling Stone and Ultimate Classic Rock, Wilson didn’t look well and didn’t interact much with the band or the crowd.
Wilson was backed by an incredibly talented band, which included Beach Boys bandmate Al Jardine. This band was instrumental in pulling off this performance, as evident in the fan-shot footage below.
The day after this show, Wilson canceled all shows on his itinerary due to “unforeseen health reasons.”
The Tragically HipSome bands are so tied to their home countries that they’re practically national ambassadors. That’s what The Tragically Hip is to Canada, particularly its frontman Gord Downie. In May 2016, it was announced that Downie was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Not long after this stunning news, The Tragically Hip announced a Canadian tour, with the final show set for August 20 in the band’s hometown of Kingston, Ontario.
Simply put, this show was a massive deal in Canada. Per the Juno Awards, it was broadcast live on the CBC, and then-Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was in attendance. Of Canada’s 36.11 million population, 11.7 million Canadians tuned into the broadcast to say goodbye and to pay tribute to one of the country’s most beloved bands.
Downie died from glioblastoma on October 17, 2017. In an address to the media, a tearful Prime Minister Trudeau said, “We lost one of the very best of us this morning. Gord was my friend, but Gord was everyone’s friend … We are less as a country without Gord Downie in it.”
Chris CornellThe final performance from Chris Cornell took place with Soundgarden on May 17, 2017 at Detroit’s Fox Theatre. Hours after the show, Cornell died by suicide in his hotel room at the nearby MGM Grand Detroit.
In the aftermath of Cornell sudden death, some reports hinted at speculation that something wasn’t right with him during the performance. Others touted that Cornell appeared strong on stage. Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil told Billboard, “I thought the show was good. I remember Chris had just gotten [into town] and was a little tired and his voice was a little rough, but by about the fourth or fifth song, it kicked in and then it was just, like, super amazing – beautiful, clear and strong and, I thought, particularly emotive.”
Regardless, this show marked the end of one of rock’s strongest and most dynamic voices that remains incredibly missed.
Tom PettyTom Petty’s final performance took place with the Heartbreakers on September 25, 2017 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Calif. The show was the final date on the band’s 40th anniversary tour and was the third of three sold out shows at the iconic venue.
A week later, on October 2, Petty died from an accidental overdose. During the tour, Petty was battling a broken hip, which he was going to have surgery on after the tour. In essence, he was self-medicating to get through the tour.
Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell told Guitar Player about Petty’s hip issues and drug use, “In fact, the last conversation I had with Tom about it, I said, ‘Are you sure you want to do this? Are you up to it?’ He said, ‘I’m not staying home. I’m going out. I want to do it. If I have to be in a wheelchair, I’m going to do it.’ I said, ‘Okay, then what?’ He said, ‘Well, when the tour’s over, I’m going to go get my surgery. We’ll write some more songs, make another record.'”
The BandOne of the grandest curtain calls in history comes via The Band and was captured in the classic Martin Scorsese concert film The Last Waltz. While The Last Waltz was released in April 1978, the concert itself took place on November 25, 1976 at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom.
The Band wasn’t alone during their final show; they were joined by a staggering list of all-star special guests. Among them were Bob Dylan, Ronnie Hawkins, Eric Clapton, Paul Butterfield, Joni Mitchell, Dr. John, Neil Diamond, Muddy Waters, Neil Young and more.
In 2019, The Last Waltz was added to the Library of Congress’ National Film Registry.

In their last-ever show, REO Speedwagon rocked the State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois, on June 14. The band started at the University of Illinois in 1967, and it wrapped up 57 years of music-making where its history began. The performance was called the Legacy of REO Speedwagon concert. “In all reality this is REO’s last show,” said bassist Bruce Hall at the event, according to The News-Gazette.
The night’s music spanned 19 songs. Starting with raw cuts like “Son of a Poor Man,” they closed with “157 Riverside Avenue,” a nod to the Connecticut spot where their first album came to life. Each song struck a chord with the packed crowd.
Neal Doughty played keys while Alan Gratzer sat at drums for the first time since 1988. “I’ve been very happily retired,” Gratzer shared onstage, according to Ultimate Classic Rock.
Kevin Cronin missed the show due to other tour dates with Styx and Don Felder. Nashville trio Levon stepped in on vocals. Eric Richrath flew in from Scotland to play his father Gary’s guitar parts on “Ridin’ the Storm Out.” Bruce Hall’s kids, Sarah and Tommy, joined in too, turning the stage into a family reunion. Terry Luttrell, REO Speedwagon’s lead singer from 1968 to 1972, started the night with his REO Classics Band.
They played all the big hits, including “Keep on Loving You,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Roll With the Changes,” and “Time for Me to Fly.” As the final notes faded, so did REO Speedwagon’s touring days, which ended in late 2024. The music stopped, but the memories will play on. Music lovers came from across the globe to see these stars, and the lines stretched so long that staff members pushed back the start time.

With lyrics that read like a Reddit forum, or whining sessions with your girlfriends about dating life set to a bop, she’s calling out every emotionally stunted guy who thinks adulting is optional and ghosting is cool. If you’ve ever dated someone who treats Call of Duty like a full-time job but can’t text you back because he forgot to charge his phone, congrats, you’ve met a manchild. And according to dating experts, Carpenter’s not just venting, she’s onto something.
So, how do you actually avoid dating one of these overgrown adolescents in disguise? Here’s how.

Cohen, PhD, said in an interview with the Daily Mail that the term is usually used to describe a person who is emotionally immature. Cohen said, “A manchild acts more like a child as opposed to an individual his own age. In especially problematic scenarios, the manchild may be intentionally acting in an incompetent manner so as to evoke the need for their partner’s care.”
Dr. Cohen added that a manchild is doing this not only out of incompetence, but as a manipulation tactic.

If you’re seriously considering spending your life with the person you’re dating, but you think they’re a manchild and you think you can change them, don’t. Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, two of Hollywood’s most iconic heartthrobs, once shared the screen in Interview with the Vampire back in 1994. Now, decades later, Pitt says he’s open to working with Cruise again, but only if Cruise promises not to treat the movie like it’s the next installment of Mission: Impossible.
Pitt’s one condition? The film has to be on the ground.
In a recent interview, Pitt laid down the law, saying he’d be totally up for collaborating with Cruise again, just hold the scaling Burj Khalifa, hanging from an airplane, and helicopter chasing madness.
Brad Pitt on Working with Tom Cruise Again During the premiere of his F1 film in Mexico City, Pitt told E! News (via the New York Post) about his condition in doing another movie with Cruise: “Well, I’m not gonna hang my ass off airplanes and s–t like that, so when he does something again that’s on the ground.”
Cruise, similar to what he did to Ana de Armas’ Ballerina, has been urging people to also watch Pitt’s movie where he plays a former Formula 1 driver. During CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas, Cruise said, “Brad’s got a new movie, with Jerry Bruckheimer, Joe Kosinski. I can’t wait to see that this summer. It’ll be awesome.” He added, “It’s great to see Brad driving. He’s very good. He’s a very good driver. Believe me, I’ve raced against him. When we were doing Interview With the Vampire we’d go and race go-karts. We’d literally finish and go drive go-karts all night.”
“He’s so sweet. He’s sweet.” Pitt said of his former co-star. “We did have our go-kart days back in the early 90s.” He added. He also revealed Cruise was faster. “He got me in the end. I gotta admit.”
Ford v Ferrari Starring Pitt and Cruise F1 director Joseph Kosinski shared in a GQ interview that the reunion between the Hollywood royalties could have happened sooner. His version of the 2019 film Ford v Ferrari was supposed to star Pitt and Cruise. However, the studio did not approve of the budget. James Mangold ended up directing the movie starring Matt Damon and Christian Bale.
F1 starring Pitt, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies and Javier Bardem is scheduled for release in theaters on June 27.

You know you’ve made it in Hollywood when one role turns your entire career around, and apparently, you don’t even have to survive the role to do it. Just ask Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the man who turned dying in a hospital bed into a full-time job.
In a recent interview, Morgan credited his turn as Denny Duquette on Grey’s Anatomy for his thriving career where he didn’t even need to audition for roles post Grey’s. “I’ve auditioned zero times since playing Denny,” he revealed. The man died on screen, left everyone sobbing into their wine, and then walked straight into job offers without breaking a sweat.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan: “I’ve Auditioned Zero Times Since Playing Denny” In a recent interview with People, Morgan said of his “life-changing” role in the medical drama, “That show honestly gave me a career. I was doing that, Weeds and Supernatural simultaneously… I’ve auditioned zero times since playing Denny Duquette.”
Morgan appeared in seasons 2 and 3 as a heart transplant patient who proposed to Katherine Heigl’s character. He said, “I’d been kicking around Hollywood for a long time, but nobody certainly knew who I was. My whole career launched out of that character.”
He revealed that he got roles because of the shows including P.S. I Love You, the 2007 rom-com with Hilary Swank. “[Director] Zack Snyder told me that he cast me in Watchmen because he saw me as Denny.” Morgan says. “How you watch Denny and go, ‘Well, that’s the nihilistic comedian right there,’ is beyond me.”
Morgan on The Walking Dead Even his role on The Walking Dead was offered to him. In 2015, he shared on PasCon that he accepted the role even though he had not received the full details of the role yet. “My agent and manager called. They said, ‘You’ve been offered this thing on The Walking Dead. It’s to play a big bad. At that time, they didn’t know the character’s name because I think it was supposed to be a secret.” But Morgan knew it immediately. “And I’m like, ‘Is it f—ing Negan?’ And they’re like, ‘I don’t know, we’re going to have to call you back.’ And I’m like, ‘No, it’s f—ing Negan. And I’m f—ing doing it.’”
Morgan is still grateful to Denny. “I think about him a lot. Every now and again, I’ll see something on social media, a scene or something, and I’m just like, ‘F—k.’ I still wake up every day, and I say my little thank you to [creator] Shonda Rhimes. It was lightning in a bottle, and it gave me the opportunity to have a career.”

A man in Florida was arrested because he was stalking and filing false reports on his neighbors. He called 911 on his neighbors 647 times.
Keep The Noise DownWe’ve all had that one neighbor who irritates you in some way, shape, or form. But at one point, when did you do something about it? Or did you just say nothing? Well this man in Florida definitely did something about it.
72-year-old Samuel Thomas of Florida called 911 on his neighbors. Now calling them one time would be normal, but he called 911 on them 647 times.
Samuel called 911 reporting that someone was “shooting an AR-15 rifle in the roadway.” Policed respond to Samuel’s call but when they showed up, they found a family barbecuing and “small children at play.”
Other neighbors in the area also said no shooting of a gun happened.
Excessive Calling To 911When police talked to the neighbors that Samuel had reported, they seemed used to what was happening. Why? Samuel had called 911 on them “hundreds of times”, according to The Smoking Gun. They also mentioned that he would drive up to the front of their home and he would yell obscenities at their family.
Police looked at the call records and found out that Samuel has called 3,400 times to 911 this year alone.
He also called and complained that the family next door were selling narcotics, used firearms, acting disorderly, and were suspicious of illegal activity. You would think that after that many calls or reports, the police would stop him from calling. Apparently they aren’t allowed to.
Samuel was eventually arrested for stalking and filing false reports. He was also charged with resisting arrest because he put up a fight with the arresting police officers. Did Sam have any mental health issues that would cause him to act out this way? Police said no, there was no evidence of that.
Now if you think this is all Sam did, think again. His history of charges include multiple battery convictions, DUI’s, possession of marijuana, intoxication, writing bad checks, violating his probation, and more. But this is the first time he’s been busted for abusing 911.

Just when you thought Elsa had finally chilled out (pun obviously intended), Disney said, “Hold my hot cocoa.” In a move that has us both excited and suspicious, it’s been confirmed that ‘Frozen 3’ will be split into two movies.
This is classic Disney strategy: double the movies, double the merch, and of course, double the box office. After all, Frozen is one of Disney’s most profitable franchises. And let’s be honest, we’re all going to watch both movies since our toddlers, nieces, and nephews will definitely make us.
Frozen 3: Two-Part Storyline In an interview with Collider, Jared Bush, Chief creative officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, said about Frozen 3 having a two-part storyline, “Some of that is under wraps, but what I’d share with you is that right now, the work being done on Frozen 3, specifically, is phenomenal. When people see it, I think returning to that world with those characters, the entertainment value of watching them go on a new journey, but that feels very organic to the story they’ve already been on, is fantastic.”
He added, “For me personally, I think that it’s critical to make sure that every movie we do is fantastic. We have the luxury of being able to look at movies many times, so looking at Frozen 3 as, ‘Can we tell the very best story we can with that and not worry about where we’re going to split into that next story,’ is sort of important. One thing at a time is, to me, the best way to approach it.”
The Next “Let It Go” Aside from introducing two new Disney princesses, Anna and Elsa, and a cast of lovable supporting characters, the film’s song “Let It Go” also soared in popularity. The song stands on its own, not just as a Frozen song. Naturally, creating a song that matches the popularity of “Let It Go” is a top priority for Disney in Frozen 3. Bush revealed, “The song is always deeply tied to what the character’s story is going to be and what those dynamics are. I’d say I have an idea of what that’s going to be. That’s very exciting. I think we’ll surprise people in the best way. I guess that’s as much as I can say about that.”
No official voice actors have been confirmed for the third (and possibly the fourth) movie, but it’s safe to assume that the previous voice cast will reprise their roles including Kristen Bell as Anna, Idina Menzel as Elsa, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff, and Josh Gad as Olaf.

According to recent reports, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, aka Captain America 2.0 (now with wings!) is getting a whole lotta screen time in Avengers: Doomsday. Even though the cast is packed tighter than Chris Hemsworth’s abs, Sam’s still flying high above the rest.
If you’ve been confused since the Captain America you remembered is Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, he passed the vibranium baton to Wilson and peaced out to the past at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Not a sidekick. Not “the Falcon with a shield.” He is Cap. Period. And in Avengers: Doomsday, a film that’s shaping up to feature every MCU hero, side character, and possibly some mutants, Sam is reportedly front and center.
Anthony Mackie as Captain America Will Lead Avengers: Doomsday As reported by The Cosmic Circus (via MovieWeb), Avengers: Doomsday, will be “led” by Mackie as Captain America. The upcoming movie boasts an ensemble cast, particularly the return of Robert Downey Jr. (albeit as Dr. Doom). The cast also include the OG MCU stars Chris Hemsworth, Sebastian Stan, Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Simu Liu, Winston Duke, Thunderbolts* stars Florence Pugh, Lewis Pullman, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Fantastic Four: First Steps casts Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, as well as X-Men stars Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romjin, James Marden, and Channing Tatum.
Black Panther and Shang-Chi will also have big supporting roles along with Doctor Strange, although Strange’s fate is a little “uncertain.” There’s no third solo movie for Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange yet, and whatever happens to him on Doomsday, will give us an idea if Doctor Strange 3 is still a go.
Avengers Assemble In Mackie’s first MCU starring movie as Captain America, Captain America: Brave New World, Sam discovered that there are multiverse dangers threatening Earth. Brave New World and Thunderbolts show us Sam is trying to reassemble the Avengers to help in whatever threat. The reunion will most likely happen on Doomsda*y, putting Sam in front and center.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 18, 2026, as part of Phase Six of the MCU. Its sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, is set to be released on December 17, 2027.

Manfred Mann’s Earth Band – “Blinded By The Light”“Blinded By The Light” was written by Bruce Springsteen and was featured on his 1973 debut album Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. All due respect to The Boss, but Manfred Mann’s arrangement is just leaps and bounds better. The faster tempo and the keys on the track help make it the superior version. Clearly, this version just hit a note with the masses; Manfred Mann’s version went on to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Joe Cocker – “With A Little Help From My Friends”Speaking of arrangement changes, it takes a lot of guts to cover The Beatles, but Joe Cocker’s cover of “With A Little Help From My Friends” never fails to move a room. When Cocker died in 2014, Paul McCartney said in tribute, “It’s really sad to hear about Joe’s passing. He was a lovely northern lad who I loved a lot and like many people I loved his singing. I was especially pleased when he decided to cover ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’ and I remember him and Denny Cordell coming round to the studio in Saville Row and playing me what they’d recorded and it was just mind blowing, totally turned the song into a soul anthem and I was forever grateful for him for doing that.”
Joan Jett & The Blackhearts – “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll”Want to know the best way to tell a cover is better than the original? When people often don’t realize a cover is a cover. That’s how amazing “I Love Rock N Roll” is. Originally released by the Arrows in 1975, Jett released her cover with the Blackhearts in 1981. The song was a breakout hit for Jett and went on to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Aretha Franklin – “Respect”Similar to “I Love Rock N Roll,” there are still people who don’t know that Aretha Franklin’s massive hit “Respect” was a cover. The late, great Otis Redding wrote the song and released the original in 1965. Franklin released her cover in 1967, which was featured on her classic album, I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You. Not only was Franklin’s “Respect” a No. 1 hit, it’s considered one of the greatest song of all time.
Janis Joplin – “Me and Bobby McGee”This song was originally recorded by Roger Miller and was written by Kris Kristofferson and Fred Foster, but sweet Pearl’s rendition is obviously the best. Joplin’s cover is incredibly bittersweet; she recorded “Me and Bobby McGee” days before her sudden death on October 4, 1970 at age 27. The cover was the lead single from her final solo album, the posthumously released Pearl. Joplin’s version of “Me and Bobby McGee” went on to top the Billboard Hot 100 and was her lone No. 1 hit in her all too short career.
Soft Cell – “Tainted Love”Gloria Jones originally released “Tainted Love” in 1965, while Soft Cell’s version came out in 1981. While Jones’ recording is a pop-soul song, the Soft Cell version drips with ’80s New Wave synth and sounds like it’s from another planet. The extended version closes with a cover of The Supremes’ classic “Where Did Our Love Go.”
The Beatles – “Twist and Shout”“Twist and Shout” was originally recorded in 1961 by a group called The Top Notes. It then became a hit for the Isley Brothers in 1962, and The Beatles recorded their version in 1963. Per our “Iconic Rock Songs Recorded in One Take” list, on the day of recording, John Lennon was battling a cold, and The Beatles were booked in the studio for the whole day. Lennon tried to soothe his scratchy voice with lozenges throughout the session. “Twist and Shout” was the final song the band recorded that day, and after “Twist and Shout,” Lennon’s voice was shot, and he couldn’t record anymore.
The Clash – “I Fought The Law”This is arguably the edgiest cover on the list. “I Fought The Law” was originally recorded by The Crickets in 1960 and then covered by the Bobby Fuller Four in 1965. The Clash’s rendition, however, is the only cover that matters. (IYKYK.) It floors it out the gate, and the band doesn’t let up until the song is over.
The Byrds – “Mr. Tambourine Man”The Byrds’ cover was released the same year Bob Dylan released the original in 1965. (Talk about guts!) What really puts The Byrds’ rendition over the top are the harmonies of Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark, and David Crosby. Sure, Dylan’s voice continues to still divide folks, but there’s no denying the beauty of McGuinn, Clark, and Crosby together.
The Jimi Hendrix Experience – “All Along The Watchtower”Man! When’s Bob Dylan going to catch a break? “All Along The Watchtower” was released on the Dylan album John Wesley Harding in December 1967. The Jimi Hendrix Experience dropped their cover in September 1968. The Hendrix version doesn’t stray far from Dylan’s original, but it packs more heft, thanks to his powerful guitar playing, Mitch Mitchell’s booming drums, and Dave Mason’s acoustic guitar accompaniment.

A new 13-track album hits stores July 25, preserving the magic of Elton John’s six nights at London’s Rainbow Theatre back in 1977. When John performed these live shows in Spring 1977, he had just finished an eight-month break.
“I’m delighted that Live from the Rainbow Theatre with Ray Cooper will be available for my fans to enjoy. It’s an album I’m incredibly proud of, and listening back to it, I’m astounded by how great it sounds. The freedom I felt playing with just the two of us is something I will always remember,” said John in a press release, according to Ultimate Classic Rock.
These historic shows now make their first appearance on CD and streaming platforms. The concerts marked the start of a musical partnership with percussionist Ray Cooper that would stretch across 233 shows. Each night started with solo piano, and then Cooper stepped in for part two.
Live takes of “Roy Rogers,” “Cage The Songbird,” “Idol,” and “I Feel Like A Bullet” shine on this release. CD buyers will also get a bonus track of “Goodbye.” While vinyl fans got a sneak peek on Record Store Day 2025, this wider release packs in extra notes and more music from those nights.
The tracks pull from the eight albums released during his first decade of work. Just one song, 1970’s “Border Song,” hit the UK singles charts, and this new record has lots of deep cuts. These intimate shows at the Rainbow Theatre drew smaller crowds than his usual packed arenas.
This release builds on his recent success, Who Believes in Angels?, his tenth UK chart-topper. Singer Brandi Carlile performs on the record as well. Elton John is a popular, talented musician who has sold more than 300 million albums and created over 70 Top 40 hits.

Criminals install hidden devices in charging stations. These gadgets can secretly load malicious software onto phones, stealing banking info, passwords, and credit card details instantly.
Airport staff keep telling passengers to avoid public USB ports. They recommend bringing your own portable charger or wall adapter instead. This alert comes as summer travel gets busier.

Fire season is upon us in Las Vegas. But really, with Las Vegas being so dry, there’s always a danger of fire. And now there is a warning on something that some of you may use everyday.
E-Bikes And Scooters Pose A Higher Risk Of Fire Danger In Las VegasThe National Fire Protection Association Conference kicked off this week, at Mandalay Bay. It is the largest fire safety event in the country. The event brings experts from around the world together, including UL Solutions.
UL Solutions is the company that certifies your electrical, and battery powered devices, and appliances. They also test the systems that go into e-mobility devices like e-bikes and scooters. They say the lithium-ion batteries inside those devices could pose potential fire risks.
UL Solutions, says the power stores in the battery packs could become fire hazards for a number of reasons: If the bike can’t keep up with the heat, or overcharging the devices. Obviously the high, and dry temperatures in Las Vegas aren’t doing any batteries any favors.
How To Lower Fire Risk With E-Bikes And ScootersThere are a number of things to be aware of, to lower your risk of fire with the devices you are potentially using every day, to get you around Las Vegas:
- Use the charger specifically designed to match your e-bike or scooter
- Keep an eye out for overheating when the device is charging
- Look out for smoke from the battery
- Pay attention to how the battery pack looks. Make sure there is no warping or swelling
- If you see any material coming out of the battery pack, avoid plugging it in.

A helicopter reporter was caught talking and ranting about his failed marriage during a YouTube Livestream of the “No Kings” protests in L.A., that he was covering.
You’re Live, Keep The Rant To A Minimum On The YouTube LivestreamThis past weekend was one for the history books. Millions of people across the country got together in their respective states to protest. It was the “No Kings” protest. L.A. has been in protests and riots for almost a week now and news outlets from all over the world were there to capture every moment of it. This past weekend was no exception.
According to MediaIte, A helicopter reporter named Stu Mundel was one of those reporters sent to cover the L.A. protests. What Stu didn’t realize was he would end up going viral. Not for his awesome job of reporting but for his rant of his failed marriage.
Mundel was streaming live on YouTube when he all of a sudden started to talk about his failed marriage. Stu even mentioned a bunch of debacles that happened in his personal life. He said he’s legally separated and now trying to find himself. He even mentioned how he gets lonely, but relies on his cats to keep him company.
It’s All Out There For The World To HearThe rant was all of a sudden posted all over the internet. He was apparently talking to someone through his ear piece. Stu did know he was live though because he was responding to people on the live YouTube comments.
Mundel started to see questions in the live feed that seemed off. People were asking if he was drunk. His response, “I do love the bourbon. I love the whiskey, love the bourbon, love the gin.”
If you’re wondering, Stu wasn’t flying the helicopter. He had a pilot with him and he was live streaming from the back. Mundel was just having fun with the whole situation. Maybe he was having a little too much fun because he was so open about his failed marriage and personal life.

Farewell tours have been common over the years, but as common as they are, musicians also go back on their word. There are plenty of musicians who lied about retirement. Here are just 10 examples from the rock world and beyond.
The B-52’sThe B-52’s are the latest act to go back on their retirement. In April 2022, the band announced their farewell tour, which was dubbed their “Final Tour Ever of Planet Earth.” They found a bit of a loophole, as far as touring goes, with a residency in Las Vegas. However, three years later in June 2025, The B-52’s announced they would be joining DEVO on a co-headlining tour. (And on planet Earth, no less!)
Fred Schneider told Rolling Stone about the decision to hit the road again, “In 2022, I swore I’d never get on a tour bus again, but we were careful to say to our fans that we would still perform in special situations that don’t require all of the awful tour travel. Our Vegas residency is going great, and when we were offered the chance to do a small run of shows with Devo, we all said this is an extraordinary opportunity we couldn’t say no to.”
Motley CrueMotley Crue’s “Final Tour” ran from July 2, 2014, to December 31, 2015. Nikki Sixx, however, did tell Rolling Stone in 2014, “The only loophole is if all four band members agreed to do it, we could override our own contract. But we know that will never happen. There are people in this band who will refuse to ever do it again, and you’re talking to one of them. There is no amount of money that would ever make me do it again because I have such pride in how we’re ending it.”
Turns out, maybe there was an amount of money that could make Sixx and the rest of the Crue change their minds. They literally blew up their “Cessation of Touring Agreement” and embarked on the very lucrative “Stadium Tour” in 2022 with Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts.
KISSKISS’ first farewell tour ran from March 11, 2000 to April 13, 2001. While they eventually went back on their word in 2002, this first farewell tour was the last KISS tour to feature its original lineup. The band then embarked on their “End of the Road” farewell tour, which came to a close on December 2, 2023 at New York’s Madison Square Garden. While the band is (reportedly) done with touring, they have performed one-off shows since the MSG finale.
Ozzy OsbourneThe Prince of Darkness’ first farewell tour, the “No More Tours” Tour, ran from June 9, 1992 to November 15, 1992. Ozzy would return to the road in 1995 with the appropriately titled “Retirement Sucks Tour.” He had to bring his “No More Tours 2” farewell tour to a premature end in February 2023 due to numerous health issues. Fortunately, Ozzy will get to perform one last time as a solo artist and with the original Black Sabbath lineup at the all-star concert event “Back to the Beginning” on July 5, 2025 in Birmingham, England.
CherCher infamously announced her “Living Proof: The Farewell Tour” would only last for 59 dates in North America. It eventually stretched into 325-date worldwide tour that ended in 2005. She would then return to the stage for a Las Vegas residency from 2008-2011 and then go back to touring for her “Dressed to Kill Tour” in 2014, another residency in from 2017-2020, and her “Here We Go Again Tour” that began in 2018 and currently stretched into 2020.
David BowieDavid Bowie didn’t have a farewell tour, per se, but he claimed that his 1990 “Sound+Vision Tour” would be the final time he would perform his earlier hits live and would “retire” those songs after the tour. However, on his next outing, the 1995-96 “Outside Tour,” songs like “The Man Who Sold the World,” “Moonage Daydream,” and “Under Pressure” were part of the setlist.
Tina TurnerTina Turner’s 1990 “Foreign Affair: The Farewell Tour” featured 121 dates in Europe. However, shortly after the end of the tour, Turner told Jet, “I’ve always thought this would be the final one but I must admit I now have mixed feelings. I’m the first woman to fill all these stadiums and the feeling from all those fans night after night was fantastic. I don’t want to close that door completely. I’m going away for about a year and when I’m ready to return, I just hope the fans will want whatever I have to offer.”
She would return for four more tours. Her final tour was her “Tina!: 50th Anniversary Tour” that ran from 2008 to 2009.
Jay-ZJay-Z advertised his 2003 album The Black Album as his final LP before retiring and threw a massive “retirement party” concert at Madison Square Garden on November 25, 2003. He has since released five additional solo studio albums and four collaborative albums, including 2018’s Everything Is Love with his wife, Beyoncé.

Last year we decided to fill out a “report” card and now the results are in…so let’s see how Dad did! Keep in mind that this was specifically aimed at the only “father” on the show and that’s Mike O’Brian. However, The Mike & Carla Morning Show encouraged other kids to do the same thing for their dad.
Recently, Focus On The Family put out an article on this same thing. It listed catagories for the kids to asses and how to score. For example, does he spend enough time with us? Does he support us in all our efforts? Is he a good listener?
Keep in mind that Mike is a “Girl Dad”, having two daughters and a step-daughter. They all had their opinions from guidance to fashion sense or lack there of! Carla Rea came up with the questions for the report card and each daughter filled it out.
How Did Dad Do On His “Father’s Day” Report CardBut think about this for a minute. If you gave your kids the chance to grade you as a father, how would you do? Are you that man that can check all the boxes? We’re you always there when you were needed? We of course understand that being a parent isn’t easy by any stretch of the imagination.
But we think Mike did fairly well with his three daughters. Now there might be some question to his “fashion” sense, but he did give good advice. On the other hand, his cooking skills were in question from all three!
Hey listen, all of our dads had their moments in life. As we look back on our father’s, there were times when we thought they were the coolest and times when they were a bit embarrassing.

The Las Vegas Aviators have partnered with HELP of Southern Nevada to support our efforts to aid people experiencing homelessness in our community through our HELP2O Water Drive. This community campaign is designed to provide critical relief to Southern Nevada’s homeless population during the extreme summer heat. When summer desert temperatures soar, the need for hydration and protection is urgent for people living on the street.
“With the intense desert heat we face every summer, our local homeless community faces heightened challenges as temperatures soar across the Valley,” said Abby Quinn, chief community relations officer of HELP of Southern Nevada. “Through our HELP2O Water Drive initiative, we are steadfast in providing lifesaving water so we can focus on their immediate needs and getting them housed.”
From June 10 through July 20, fans attending Las Vegas Aviators home games at Las Vegas Ballpark will have the opportunity to support the campaign directly. Donations can be made at the concession stands by adding a monetary contribution at checkout.
On June 13, the initiative will feature a special Water Extravaganza event before the Aviators’ home game. Scheduled from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the event encourages fans to donate cases of bottled water or make a cash donation. Contributors will receive a voucher for tickets to a future game, serving as both a thank-you and an incentive to participate in the program.
Those unable to attend the games can still support the effort by dropping off bottled water donations at the Framing Hope Warehouse, located at 1600 E. Flamingo Road. Donations are accepted Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Water donations will be collected through Sept. 1, and financial contributions can also be made online via HELP of Southern Nevada’s website.
The HELP2O Water and Weather Drive is a vital step in ensuring that those experiencing homelessness in Southern Nevada have access to basic necessities during the most dangerous time of the year.

The previews continue in the lead up to the June 27 release of the new Bruce Springsteen box set, Tracks II: The Lost Albums.
The latest preview is “Sunday Love” off of Twilight Hours, which is one of seven unreleased albums that make up Tracks II. The album is described on Springsteen’s website as “an ode to the great American pop music tradition” and was recorded at the same time as The Boss recorded his 2019 release Western Stars. Featured on “Sunday Love” are E Street Band members Max Weinberg, Patti Scialfa, and Soozie Tyrell.

Details on Tracks II: The Lost AlbumsIn April, Bruce Springsteen announced Tracks II: The Lost Albums, which features seven never-heard albums he created between 1983 and 2018. This epic set comes out on June 27.
In a trailer for the epic Tracks II, Springsteen says, “I often read about myself in the ’90s as having a ‘lost period’ or something. And really, I was working the whole time. During the pandemic, what I did for that period of time was finish everything I had in my vault.”
He continues, “So, this is ‘Tracks II.’ ‘The Lost Albums’ are records that were full records, some of them even to the point of being mixed and not released for some reason or another. Something I thought was missing from some of them or they just didn’t feel complete at the time.”
Within those seven albums are 82 previously unreleased songs. Among those tracks, 74 of them are never-before-heard songs. The album title breakdown within Tracks II: The Lost Albums is as follows:

El Cortez Hotel & Casino has officially unveiled a $20 million expansion, introducing nearly 200 new slot machines and several new dining and entertainment venues, including the restaurant Hot Noods by Chinglish, a new Starbucks, and two distinct bars — one styled after a giant roulette wheel and another featuring a stage for live performances and a large screen for entertainment.
This 10,000-square-foot expansion of the casino floor is part of a multi-year push to modernize the iconic downtown Las Vegas property while maintaining a respected sense of history. The renovations are designed to accommodate the increasing demand on Fremont Street from longtime loyal locals and a growing contingent of visitors who are seeking a better gaming and hospitality experience.
“We are thrilled to unveil our latest expansion project, which represents a significant milestone for El Cortez and the community of downtown Vegas,” El Cortez CEO and chair Kenny Epstein said in the release. “These enhancements arrive at a pivotal moment of heightened demand from both locals and visitors to Fremont Street.”
The newly added Hot Noods by Chinglish brings an array of Asian noodle dishes to the casino’s lineup, offering a flavorful and casual dining option. The new Starbucks, which opened in June 2024, caters to guests looking for quick coffee or snack options throughout the day.
With the expansion, El Cortez gets to increase its gaming base, but also builds a stronger appeal and brand presence as a destination on Fremont Street, and balances the traditional approach with modern-day amenities for new visitors.

Billy Idol learned through a 23andMe DNA test that his daughter, Bonnie, had taken that he had fathered a previously unknown son in 1985 named Brant.
According to People, this information was revealed in the new documentary Billy Idol Should Be Dead. The film had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 10. (As of publishing, a wide release of the doc has not been announced.)
Bonnie says in the film, “My husband just surprised me with a 23andMe, with a DNA test as a Christmas present. And then a few weeks later, I get the results back on the app and open it, and I’m like, who is this? This Brant. And it says his info’s like, New York, 1985, looking for my bio dad. I was like, ‘What?’”
Once Brant connected with Bonnie through 23andMe, he had a talk with his mother. She admitted that the man he was told was his biological father might not be because, at one point, they broke up, and she “spent a weekend with Billy Idol.”
After the existence of Brant was discovered, Idol got in contact with him. The rocker said, “Once I saw Brant with Bonnie and [son] Willem, they’ve all got the same quirky sense of humor. And once I saw that, I could see he’s my son, really.”
Brant has been in contact with Idol and his half-siblings for a few years now and was in attendance when Idol received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2023. The ceremony can be seen in its entirety below.

But, some suburbs are expensive, especially if they’re near large cities and offer a more peaceful and convenient area to live. The actual definition of a suburb is “an area on the edge of a large town or city where people who work in the town or city often live,” according to the Cambridge Dictionary, so it’s obviously a favorable place for a lot of workers to live. So, what’s the richest suburb in the state?
The State’s Most Affluent SuburbYahoo Finance has a piece out naming the richest suburbs in each state, including ours. “The best suburbs in America have a combination of appealing characteristics, including nice homes and great amenities,” the article, which is from Go Banking Rates, states. “Of course, these desirable features cost a lot of money — in some cases, an exorbitant amount.”
So, what makes people like suburbs so much? Wheaton World Wide Moving notes that “on one hand, cities often have attractions like museums, restaurants and theaters.” But, “On the other hand, depending on your lifestyle and priorities, living in the suburbs may prove better for you and your family.” Suburbs also usually have good schools and low, or relatively low, crime rates. So, it goes without saying that suburbs can offer a more convenient and private lifestyle while still having plenty to do. When you get into more rural areas, the land is beautiful, but you might be living miles away from a gas station or grocery store.
In Nevada, the most expensive suburb according to the study is North Las Vegas. The median home list price there is $380,629, and the median monthly rent is $1,842. Also, the combined cost of non-housing necessities is $22,131.94. So, those living in that area, if you think it’s expensive, that’s because it is.

Production issues have forced Genesis to delay the release of their highly anticipated 50th-anniversary box set of The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. The debut was originally scheduled for March. Then, it shifted from June to late Fall. “We deeply apologise to fans who’ve been kept in The Waiting Room to receive their orders,” said the band on Genesis’ website.
The music tells the story of Rael, a young man from Puerto Rico finding his path. Released on November 22, 1974, it marked Gabriel’s final work before leaving the group.
Inside this massive collection, fans will find five vinyl LPs, a Blu-ray, and four CDs. Sound engineer Miles Showell worked at Abbey Road Studios to remaster the album using original tapes. At Real World Studios, band members Peter Gabriel and Tony Banks crafted new Dolby ATMOS mixes. Three unreleased demos from sessions at Headley Grange in Hampshire add fresh depth to the collection.
Music lovers can finally hear the complete January 24, 1975, performance at The Shrine Auditorium. Two bonus encore tracks, “Watcher Of The Skies” and “The Musical Box,” make their first appearance.
The package brims with additional extras. A 60-page coffee table book shares previously unseen photos and fresh talks with Banks, Phil Collins, Gabriel, Steve Hackett, and Mike Rutherford. Fans will also get a replica of the vintage 1975 tour program, an old ticket stub, and a classic poster. The band hasn’t revealed the exact release date for this box set yet, but fans can still pre-order the Super Deluxe Edition through Genesis’s website.

In a recent interview, Blunt, our beloved Emily Charlton, Patron Saint of Black Eyeliner and Tight Ponytails, dropped a tantalizing update on the sequel that’s been teased and whispered about since 2006.

In the first movie, Blunt is Emily Charlton, Priestly’s (Meryl Streep) faithful assistant. Priestly is the editor-in-chief of Runway magazine. Anne Hathaway plays Andy Sachs, an aspiring journalist who gets a job at the fashion magazine but always seems to clash with everyone because of her nonchalance toward fashion.
Blunt might have been stingy when it comes to details, but it seems she confirmed what we’ve all been waiting for: a showdown between Emily and Miranda. Blunt said, “Why are Meryl and I so mean to each other in every movie we do? We always have beef with each other. I don’t know what it is. Let’s hope we remedy it. I’m not sure.”
Aside from the fans, Blunt said it was also her daughters, Hazel and Violet, who are the most eager for filming to start: “I think they would quite like to go to set. Just for the fashion.”
What Else We Know About Devil Wears Prada 2 Variety reported that although Blunt and Streep are set to reprise their roles, there are no official announcements yet about Hathaway and Stanley Tucci, who plays Nigel, a long-time fashion editor at Runway and who helped Hathaway’s character with her ever-needed makeover.
Tucci, however, seems to be more than eager to return if asked: “I know they’re working on it. If it happens, I would be so happy, but I cannot give you any information. Otherwise, I’ll go to the actor’s prison or something. [The original] was one of the best experiences ever.”
The sequel reportedly will be about Priestly as she thinks about her career because of the decline of traditional magazine publishing. She is set to face off against Emily, who is now a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Miranda needs to save her career.

Disney and Universal have teamed up, surprising no one, to file a hefty lawsuit against Midjourney over its image generator. This legal showdown might just have more plot twists than a Marvel mid-credits scene.
Disney and Universal: Midjourney is a “Bottomless Pit of Plagiarism” As reported by BBC, the two studios filed a lawsuit in federal district court in Los Angeles claiming the AI company’s tool generates “innumerable” copies of characters including Yoda and Darth Vader from Star Wars, Frozen’s Elsa, the Minions from Despicable Me, and Marvels’ Spiderman, the Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man.
Horacio Gutierrez, Disney’s chief legal officer, said that AI “can be used responsibly as a tool to further human creativity.” However, “Midjourney is the quintessential copyright free-rider and a bottomless pit of plagiarism. Piracy is piracy, and whether an infringing image or video is made with AI or another technology does not make it any less infringing,” the studios said in a statement.
Per AP News, Disney and Universal requested Midjourney to stop infringing on their copyrighted characters and to stop image generation of their works.
Creativity Can Build on Others’ Works According to Syracuse University law professor Shubha Ghosh, “A lot of the images that Midjourney produces just seem to be copies of copyrighted characters that might be in new locations or with a new background. It doesn’t seem like they’re being transformed in a creative or imaginative way.” He added that in copyright law, “creativity can build on other works as long as it adds something new.”
In Support of the Lawsuit The Motion Picture Association supports the lawsuit. In a statement, the group said that “strong copyright protection is the backbone of our industry” and that there should be a “balanced approach to AI that both protects intellectual property and embraces responsible, human-centered innovation.”
The Recording Industry Association of America, which is also fighting its own legal battles with companies that make AI-generated music, shared the same sentiment and said that the studios’ lawsuit is a “critical stand for human creativity and responsible innovation.”

Recording Academy Rule Changes for 68th Grammy Awards Here are the official Recording Academy rule amendments for the 68th Grammy Awards. The 68th Grammy will be covering releases from August 31, 2024 through August 30, 2025. The changes were revealed in the rulebook:
- The Best Album Cover category has officially been introduced.
- Clarity for Best New Artist criteria: Artists who contributed up to 20% of an album nominated for Album of the Year remain eligible for Best New Artist.
- Country Gets Refined: Best Country Album splits into Best Contemporary Country Album and Best Traditional Country Album.
- In the Classical categories, composers and lyricists are now eligible for Grammy recognition.
- Packaging: The Best Recording Package and Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package Categories have been combined into one category: Best Recording Package.

Questionable Timing About the Rules Amendments Some music fans and social media users are questioning the timing of the rule amendments. One change in particular is splitting the Best Country Album. Last Grammy Awards, Beyoncé made history when she became the first Black woman to win the award. She beat Post Malone, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton, and Lainey Wilson.

- 2018: D.J. Fontana, the drummer who played in Elvis Presley’s band for the better part of two decades, died aged 87. Fontana joined the band in 1954 and contributed to epic songs, such as “Hound Dog,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Don’t Be Cruel.” Fontana was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a sideman in 2009.
The date of June 13 brought many new signature moments into the history of rock ‘n’ roll, contributed by some of its biggest names, such as The Bee Gees, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys and The Beatles.

The 27 Club is equal parts tragic and fascinating. The term, of course, stems from the unique coincidence of many high-profile entertainers dying at the age of 27.
According to Rolling Stone, the term’s popularity skyrocketed after the untimely death of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. His mother, Wendy O’Connor, even mentioned it following his death.
In a 1994 archival story from The Seattle Times, O’Connor said of her late son, “Now he’s gone and joined that stupid club. I told him not to join that stupid club.”
However, there were plenty of major names in the rock world who were members of this “club” long before Cobain died in 1994. This club and its members are explored in Howard Sounes’s 2021 book 27: A History of the 27 Club Through the Lives of Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, and Amy Winehouse. The book’s synopsis reads, “In a grimly fascinating journey through the dark side of the music business over six decades, Sounes uncovers a common story of excess, madness, and self-destruction … A clear and compelling narrative emerges, one based on hard facts, that unites these lost souls in both life and death.”
Indeed, the members of the 27 Club are lost souls and unique talents gone far too soon. Despite this, they left legacies that have lasted for decades and will likely continue to do so. Yes, they will live on thanks to their art and impact on pop culture, but they’ll also be cautionary tales, which, frankly, isn’t a bad thing either. A life ending that young is simply devastating, and if it can be avoided, it should.
Below, we look at five of the club’s most iconic members arranged in the order in which they officially joined the club.
Brian Jones: February 28, 1942 – July 3, 1969Jones was a brilliant multi-instrumentalist. He, of course, founded the Rolling Stones in 1962. Unfortunately, he struggled with substance abuse and was eventually kicked out of the band he started. About a month following his ouster, Jones died on July 3, 1969. He was found at the bottom of his swimming pool, but unproven conspiracy theories suspect that Jones may have been murdered.
Jimi Hendrix: November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970Jimi Hendrix died in 1970, but over 50 years later, he’s still considered the greatest guitarist of all time. It’s a distinction that’s apt considering how revolutionary his style of playing was and still is. In his short time on Earth, Hendrix only released four albums, but his impact is nothing short of massive. Sadly, his life was cut short due to a drug overdose.
Janis Joplin: January 19, 1943 – October 4, 1970About two weeks after Hendrix’s death, the world lost Janis Joplin to an accidental overdose of alcohol and heroin. Like Hendrix, Joplin released very few albums while she was alive, but her impact on rock and roll is far and wide. Her unique voice, dynamic stage presence, and style continue to influence musicians. Her posthumous album ‘Pearl’ is a title everyone should have in their collection.
Jim Morrison: December 8, 1943 – July 3, 1971Exactly two years after the death of Brian Jones at age 27, Jim Morrison died in Paris at the same fateful age. Morrison’s death is still a bit of a mystery. His cause of death is listed as congestive heart failure, but an autopsy wasn’t performed by French authorities, as an autopsy wasn’t then required by law. It’s hard to imagine the rock landscape without The Doors and without Morrison’s one-of-a-kind voice and performance style. He was bold, sexy, and mysterious. Countless lead singers continue to emulate his entire vibe to this very day.
Kurt Cobain: February 20, 1967 – April 5, 1994Simply put: Cobain was the voice of a generation, regardless of whether he wanted that tag or not. His work with Nirvana continues to live on and has especially caught on with Gen Z. Sadly, his struggles with depression and substance abuse were a lethal combination. The prolific singer-songwriter died in April 1994 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Being that’s it’s Father’s Day this weekend, what are those stories on how Dad embarrassed you? At the time, you could have died, but now being a bit older you can look back an laugh.
That’s what The Mike & Carla Morning Show wanted to know this morning. And boy, the stories came in on the text lines and listeners calling in. Even Mike O’Brian had his own stories as well as his oldest daughter!
Keep in mind that this is such a huge topic that Psychology Today did a whole article on this a few years ago. Spot lighting the fact that when kids are real young, everything a dad might do is cute. However, growing up and reaching those pre-teen years, it seems that both parents become unbearable!
What’s Your Father’s Day Embarrassing StoryMike talked about being with his dad at the Indiana State Fair when he was like 11. Andy Williams is performing with The Henri Mancini Orchestra. When Williams asked for any requests, Mike’s dad didn’t even hesitate to stand up and bellow out from the bleachers, “MOON RIVER!”
Mike was mortified as everyone turned to see who the man was with the big voice! Scooting down the bleachers to distance himself, Mike now looks back on this story with fondness.
On the flipside, Mike’s daughter Nicole talked about one of her experiences with dear old dad that she can now look back on and just laugh! This you just have to hear about.
So, it seems from the response, we all have these types of stories. If there is ever a time to share, this weekend would be it. Whether your dad is still here or not, keeping those stories alive is important to you and those around you.
It was a fun topic and, if you have a couple of minutes, take a listen. You never know…if might spark a memory of your own!

When most of us bought a 45, we did so for the A-Side, but the B-Side could also hold some glorious treasures, too. (One could argue that certain B-Sides were better than their A counterparts, but let’s save that topic for another list.)
While 45s might be more of a niche item in the resurgence of vinyl, let’s look back at these eight iconic tracks that were B-Sides.
The Beach Boys – ‘God Only Knows’It’s hard to believe that one of the most beautiful, iconic songs in the Beach Boys’ catalog was released as a B-Side. (The A-Side is “Wouldn’t It Be Nice.”) It would go on to be the first dance to countless newlywed couples and number 11 on Rolling Stone’s updated list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time in 2021.
David Bowie – ‘Suffragette City’The B-Side to “Starman,” “Suffragette City” was originally offered to Mott The Hoople. They passed and opted to record “All The Young Dudes,” which is easily one of the best win-win situations in classic rock history. Wham bam, thank you ma’am, indeed!
Queen – ‘We Will Rock You’One of classic rock’s most recognizable songs, “We Will Rock You” was the B-Side to that other ditty from 1977’s News of the World, “We Are The Champions.” Truthfully, this should have been a double A-Side release, considering how both of these songs are played back to back on the radio.
The Beatles – ‘Revolution’Honestly, there could be a whole B-Side list just about The Beatles, but when it came time for pressing this bold classic to a 45, “Hey Jude” scored the A-Side.
Fleetwood Mac – ‘Silver Springs’“Silver Springs” was supposed to end up on Fleetwood Mac’s masterpiece Rumours, and the reasons why it didn’t depend on who you ask in the band. The song is essentially Stevie Nicks’s answer to Lindsey Buckingham’s “Go Your Own Way.” While the track ended up originally being the B-Side to “Go Your Own Way,” “Silver Springs” ended up on Fleetwood Mac’s 1997 live album The Dance and was finally released as a proper single. Watching Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham stare each other down during the performance below is both painful and magical. Few bands could make heartbreak sound cool quite like Fleetwood Mac.
The Righteous Brothers – ‘Unchained Melody’Written by Alex North and Hy Zaret in 1955, the Righteous Brothers would release their version ten years later as the B-Side to “Hung on You.” As the classic story goes, when DJs weren’t impressed with “Hung on You,” they checked out a B-Side, and “Unchained Melody” took off.
Booker T & The MG’s – ‘Green Onions’One of the most influential instrumental tracks ever, “Green Onions” was the B-Side to “Behave Yourself” released in 1962 and has been included in a ridiculous amount of films and TV shows.
Rolling Stones – ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’As previously mentioned with the entry from the Beatles, there could be a B-Side list just about The Rolling Stones, too, so picking just one B-Side track from them was difficult, but we went with “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” which was the B-Side to “Honky Tonk Women,” because it continues to be a setlist mainstay decades later.

Eight fresh East Coast shows will be part of the Roll On Down The Highway Tour this fall. Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO) will hit the stage with Blue Öyster Cult and Starship in October and November. “We’re adding more fuel to the fire,” said BTO in an update, according to Bravewords. “New dates just announced.”
Starting on October 23 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the shows will wind through four states. The final stop will be in North Tonawanda, New York, on November 3. Music fans in Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C., can also catch this powerhouse lineup.
A fresh mix of talent will take the stage. Founder Randy Bachman will lead his son, Tal, on guitar, and his daughter-in-law, KoKo Bachman, will be behind the drums. Lance Lapointe will play bass, and Brent Knudsen will play guitar. “BTO has truly become a family band again,” Bachman told Antimusic. “We sound better than ever. We’re playing all the hits, as well as diving deep into the album cuts, and the response from fans has been incredible.”
Through four decades of music, BTO’s work shines with over 120 gold and platinum awards. Fans have snatched up more than 40 million records, and the band is known for classic hits like “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet” and “Takin’ Care Of Business.” After 25 years of silence in the studio, BTO dropped “60 Years Ago” in early 2025. Fred Turner’s voice meets Neil Young’s guitar work on this fresh track. Money from sales flows to The Bridge To Nowhere charity ride.

The world continues to mourn Brian Wilson, who died this week at the age of 82 after going public with his dementia diagnosis in February 2024.
Countless musicians and other entertainment figures have paid tribute to the legendary singer-songwriter and producing visionary. Those leading the tributes include statements from The Beach Boys and individual statements from surviving founding members Mike Love and Al Jardine.
In the joint statement from the Beach Boys, the band wrote, in part, “The world mourns a genius today, and we grieve for the loss of our cousin, our friend, and our partner in a great musical adventure. Brian Wilson wasn’t just the heart of The Beach Boys—he was the soul of our sound. The melodies he dreamed up and the emotions he poured into every note changed the course of music forever.”

Love shared a lengthy, moving tribute to Wilson and wrote, in part, “Today, the world lost a genius, and I lost a cousin by blood and my partner in music … May you rest in the peace you so deeply deserve, surrounded by the heavenly music you helped create. May your spirit soar as high as your falsetto, may your wings spread in effortless flight.”

Jardin wrote in his tribute, “Brian Wilson, my friend, my classmate, my football teammate, my Beach Boy bandmate and my brother in spirit, I will always feel blessed that you were in our lives for as long as you were. I think the most comforting thought right now is that you are reunited with Carl and Dennis, singing those beautiful harmonies again. You were a humble giant who always made me laugh and we will celebrate your music forever. Brian, I’ll really miss you…still I have the warmth of the sun.”

Wilson’s two oldest daughters, Carnie and Wendy, shared the same photo of themselves with their father. Carnie’s tribute reads, in part, “I have no words to express the sadness I feel right now. My Father, Brian Wilson, was every fiber of my body. He will be remembered by millions and millions until the world ends. I am lucky to have been his daughter and had a soul connection with him that will live on always. I’ve never felt this kind of pain before, but I know he’s resting up there in heaven … or maybe playing the piano for Grandma Audree his Mom.”
Wendy wrote, “Today I said goodbye to my beloved Dad, and I will miss him with all of my heart forever. I am so proud of you Daddy in every way! Rest in peace, and I love you.”

Among the many tributes from the music world was one from Paul McCartney. He wrote, “Brian had that mysterious sense of musical genius that made his songs so achingly special. The notes he heard in his head and passed to us were simple and brilliant at the same time. I loved him, and was privileged to be around his bright shining light for a little while. How we will continue without Brian Wilson, ‘God Only Knows’. Thank you, Brian.”

Elton John also shared a moving tribute to Wilson and touched on his kindness and generosity. He also wrote, “I grew to love him as a person, and for me, he was the biggest influence on my songwriting ever; he was a musical genius and revolutionary. This film had such a massive impact on popular culture. It grossed almost $25 million dollars in it’s first 24 days of release, and it grossed an average of $600,000 a day while still #1 at the box office January through March of 1978. It became the best-selling movie soundtrack of all time until it was beaten out by “The Bodyguard” in the 1990’s.

“Blazing Saddles” was directed by Mel Brooks, and written by Brooks, Richard Pryor, Andrew Bergman, Norman Steinberg, and Alan Uger. It starred Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder. It co-starred Alex Karras, Slim Pickens, David Huddleston, Dom DeLuise, Madeline Kahn, and Harvey Korman. It’s ranked at #6 on the American Film Institute’s 100 Years…100 Laughs. In 2006, the film was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Film Registry.

Saturday 03/05/22: Casey Kasem counts down the 40 biggest hits in the U.S.A. on March 5, 1988, when “Hairspray” was new in movie theaters!
“Hairspray” was written and directed by John Waters. It starred Ricki Lake, Divine, Debbie Harry, Sonny Bono, Jerry Stiller, Leslie Ann Powers, Colleen Fitzpatrick, Michael St. Gerard, and Ruth Brown. Although it was only a mild success at the box office, it gained in popularity during the early 90s after it’s release to home video. It is now considered a “cult classic,” and it was ranked at #444 on Empire magazine’s 2008 list of the 500 greatest movies of all time.
In 2002 this movie was adapted into a Broadway music which went on to win eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical. A second film version of “Hairspray” was adapted from the stage musical and was released in 2007. It starred John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, Amanda Byrnes, Brittany Snow, Queen Latifah, James Marsden, Zac Efron, and Nikki Blonsky.
