All music including drum patterns, loops and sound design written and created entirely from scratch using analogue and digital hardware synths, drum machines, tape bouncing and self-sampling. I don't use any ready-made sample loops, sample packs, sample libraries or effects etc.

An early mix of an ultimately abandoned track made for the Teliffusion album. It shares the title with the actual (completely different) track that was included. Note the difference in spelling as I hadn't quite yet decided on how to spell my made-up word.

Opening track from the new 5-track Concretism EP 'The Thetford Beast', coming September 2022 via Castles in Space. Vinyl and download.
Motoring up to Norwich from London, it would be difficult to miss the vast forested wilderness that follows a large section the A11. Planted between the world wars to ensure plentiful timber stock, today it's a managed park attracting picnickers and hikers. But there's another side to this wood that most day trippers would probably be unaware of. For some years, there have been reports of a furry beast roaming the forest and surrounding roads, and soon after the first sightings the Thetford Beast Investigation Society was established. Almost nothing is known of the organisation, which suddenly disbanded after a series of disappearances of its own members.
You must make your own conclusion as to what truly went on during their secret, dead-of-night meetings in the forest.

The original soundtrack for Sean Reynard's ad for Scarred for Life 2. He created a spoof public information film inspired by the film Threads, and wanted a suitable wobbly aged synth soundtrack. To make it sound of its time I used no reverb and mixed in mono.

The opening titles for the Dick and Stewart pilot episode. Dick and Stewart is a dark dystopian spoof of 1970s British kids' animations, created by Richard Littler (the genius behind Scarfolk). I tried to capture that organic feel of '70s animation music, drawing on my memories of Trumpton and Camberwick Green.

This is an early demo of a possible Dick and Stewart theme tune, written August 2016. When writing soundtracks I write a lot of different music in different styles, to see what the director likes.
It was never used, but I liked the track, and ultimately I developed it and it became the track 'Waiting, Watching' on the album For Concrete and Country (2018).
