The Jews commemorated the Exodus from Egypt with a Passover Meal each year as a reminder of God's faithfulness to provide freedom from their oppressors. Upon Jesus' coming, He instituted a New Covenant. This covenant would reconcile sinners to God by freeing them from the domain of darkness into the Kingdom of Light. As a result, Jesus would inaugurate the Lord's Supper as a means of remembering the Lamb of God (Jesus), who takes away the sin of the world.

Hosea 4 Israel’s destruction came from a lack of knowledge of God and an understanding of Him and His law. The biggest reason for this was the poor leadership from the priesthood. They were supposed to be teaching the people about God and what his law (literally “instruction”) was. The same is true for us today. Each one of us has taken a Vow at some point in our life. All of us has broken a vow at some point in our life too. We've broken them with people, our spouses, and even God. During this series, we are going to explore more about God and His promises to us as the Bride (church) of Christ.
We pray that as we explore this biblically, that God will illuminate each of our hearts to His faithfulness in our lives. Matter of fact, if we all model our marriages and relationships the way that Jesus modeled it for us, it would be far less about us and much more about others.
