The Quick Wits had their own version of the Olympics with a special version of their "Battle Royale" format. Nine countries battled it out and Bermuda took home the gold. Afterwards the actors sat down for a "semi" sports themed At Wits End and created a game called "FlameBall". Bob, Jake, Aleks, Jon, and Chris not only created a game that no one in their right mind would play as well having a little fun with the military and ancestry. It's a very strange episode, but aren't they all?

Season One of AT Wits End ends with a Bang as Bob and Jason are joined by Ben Brinton and Shawn Zumbrunnen to bask in the glory of their win at the Old vs New show. These old-timers run through a series of scenes that start with a football team that keeps trying to bring in a stronger, younger player and then moves into a story about Shawn's youngest son inventing his own Dirty Sanchez. It all ends with one of the worst albums you'll never want to hear (but should because it's all funny improv!). Be warned, there is a fair amount of language in this one.

That last show in November from the Wits left them with a little bit of a Thanksgiving Hangover. We also held our first ever Turkey Bowl with 9 contestants battling it out to see who could take home the trophy. But none of that could get in the way of this Podcast featuring a crazed Stephen King trying to regain his glory on the back of "It", a punching contest, and the worst advertising ideas for McDonalds. All in all a giggle fest of strangeness from the Wits. The show featured Bob, Jason, Jesse, Chris and Michael.

The Quick Wits had just finished their "Food Fight" show and it was pretty obvious that they were still in a strange food-related high. Things start off strange with a manhood ritual involving Rocky Mountain "Oysters" before moving on a the legend of "Clammy Hands" (a soldier who had his hands shot off in the war and replaced with clams). The oddest part is that this is also our shortest podcast to date. Maybe we should have a big audience with us all the time. This episode didn't start out to be a little collection of the Wits talking about stupid things they've done int he past, but you'll be glad that it ended up going that way! From Jason's story of taking a dump in a display toilet to Bob's almost killing himself on a high dive to impress an ex-girlfriend, these little stories help create some pretty funny improv. Jason and Bob were joined by Blake and Sean on an adventure that has to be heard to be believed. Unfortunately we'll probably never get Six Flags as a sponsor now.

The 38th episode of At Wits End sees the birth of "The Sling Brothers" and we're not quite sure if that's a good thing or not. These Nude Hype Men seem to be all over the place in this episode so beware!
And speaking of "beware", the theater ghost makes its presence known during the episode. See if you can hear the noises that freaked out the cast to the point where they were all too freaked out to be alone in the theater. Eventually they made Bob lock up the place.

The title pretty much tells you that this is going to be another very off the wall episode. After a Quick Wits show that had them drawing two random games from a hat and having to create a new game on the spot, the actor were obviously in an experimental mood. Bob Bedore, Jourdan Dixon, Jesse Markus, and Sean Sweeney dive head first into the issue of racism with a scene about not being able to "see color" (note: we feel we have to once again mention that this is a comedy parody of racism and by no means how we think). And from there it continues to get strange -- ending in how we get the title of the show. A good audience hung around for this very fun episode.

In one of the strangest occurrences to happen during a recording of At Wits End, Jason Wild's nose started to bleed. But that wasn't enough to stop him from continuing on with the podcast, far from it. In fact, it became a part of the show. Jason, along with Bob Bedore and Michael Heycock, brought out the Kleenex and marched on. Perhaps the funnest part to come out of this episode is the continuous use of training videos to help Michael get over his fear of giving blood. It was enough to make us forget about Jason having his nose pinched through most of the episode. Almost.

The week this was recorded was a tough one for the Wits. One of our own, Lauren Elyse Bradley, passed away suddenly and we were all in shock. But what do a bunch of comedians do in tough times? They find a way to laugh. The show before this podcast was amazing and everyone just let go of the pain and did the type of comedy Lauren would have loved. It spilled over big time in the podcast as Bob, Jason, Blake, Katrina, and Jesse knocked out one of the craziest podcasts so far! Again, it felt like Lauren was there with us, laughing at the VERY irreverent show. Just listen and enjoy. And be careful what you name your children!

In this episode Quick Wits opens up the show to other improvisors in Utah. Before this show QW presented a new shows called "Pop Up Arcade". This was a playground for improv styles and was a blast to watch, and be in! Bob and Jason welcome friends from ToySoup (Troy Taylor and Andrew Jensen) and musical improvisors Shawn Zumbrunnen and Ben Brinton. Also coming for the fun is one of the original At Wits End podcasters, Jesse Markus. And Jon Fairbanks found a way to join in the fun.
This one was cut short when ToySoup had to head out about 2/3 of the way through and the rest of us had too much fun saying "good bye" and didn't make it back to the podcast. But this is a crazy 22 minutes. A full show might have been too much to handle. So sit back and enjoy!

Every once in a while a podcast has to go off the rails and there is just no saving it. This is that show. Is it funny? Yes! Is it something we wondered if we should put out there? Also Yes! Some how, without knowing it, the Wits decided to challenge themselves by making each scene progressively stranger. That was no small task when it all started with a scene about The Rolling Stones being turned into an animatronic Boy Band after their bizarre death and then starting the robot revolt. But a scene about a man starting a barbershop quartet with his body growths and one about boys with an obsession for animals with horns took care of things nicely. The Quick Wits in this broadcast were Bob Bedore, Jourdan Dixon, Blake Heywood, Sean Sweeney and Shawn Timothy.

This very wild, crazy and very funny episode was recorded directly after the Championship game of Quick Wits' March MadWits - a five week competition of teams thrown together from improvisors all over Utah. The SRO show was one of the best start to finish shows ever and in the end Air Bud 7: Love is just a word squeaked out a win over Mom Jeans. We invited both teams to join us for this podcast and is was clear that the these performers still had a lot of funny left in them. Listen scenes that move from the over use of trophies to the tattoos. And in the middle is one of the strangest retellings of World War II you'll ever here. Episode takes some darkly funny turns as the Wits argue about puppies, and which is more trashy; Tilapia or Amy Schumer (pretty much a tie). Very funny stuff, especially the mis-use of various accents. Just be warned, the "E" is well deserved on this episode. It's the 12th episode of "At Wits End" and this one takes place right after a huge March MadWits battle. It is also quite possibly the strangest episode we've done so far -- and that's saying something even in our young existence. The improv curtain is pulled back a bit as we talk about something that happened on stage and why you should never announce to the Emcee and the Audience that you're "really good" at something. That never ends well. We also discuss a hand sanitizer called, "Maybe you touched your genitals", and do an updated/teen version of Yo Gabba Gabba! Yeah, it's a strange episode.

This five man team runs through some fun ground, but it's the ending scene about a house haunted by the ghost of comedian Jeff Foxworthy that really had everyone doubled over. Another practice leading up to the competition, this episode features Jesse, Michael, Jason and Bob doing a scene about a Parkour Traffic Jam and ending with Michael's nightmare. The fact that Jason acted out his talking toilet full throttle even though none of you will actually see it only shows how dedicated we are about these podcasts!
