“First let me start off by saying Lahaina is a desert climate and has been since plantation owners rerouted the water source to other parts of the island. Lahaina used to be a lush landscape.

In my opinion, this disaster could’ve been completely prevented had they spent the money to upgrade to in-ground electric lines. Many have asked over the years but were told there was no funds to do it. It’s a lot easier to secure funding after a disaster.
At the very least, HECO (the electric company) could’ve cut the power a lot sooner. HECO CEO Shelee Kimora claimed it could’ve affected specialized medical equipment. This is crazy considering you can’t use medical equipment if it’s incinerated by a fire. Just another excuse to avoid accountability.
The state of the art “all hazard” sirens never went off. Herman Andaya (Maui EMA director) who was in charge of making the decision to turn on the sirens said he didn’t regret it. The next day he resigned due to “health issues”.
No cell service and no loudspeaker either. There was no warning of any sort. People were in their houses and completely unaware until it the fire was close. There was a fire earlier and the Maui Fire Department said it was “100% contained”.
The police allowed incoming traffic into the town coming from Kaanapali but closed the road off on the other side due to a downed line that wasn’t even blocking the road. This caused a gridlock.
Residents' water was turned off with no way to protect their houses. Firefighters ran out of water and were denied access by Kaleo Manuel (DLNR’s deputy director for water resource management) until it was too late. This unnecessarily put firefighters at even greater risk.
I am especially embarrassed with leadership treating locals like criminals. They immediately enacted a roadblock (they could’ve just closed the fire zone) and implemented a military-enforced curfew 10pm - 6pm. There has also been a near-total media block in the fire zone. This is unconstitutional!
Many residents believe they have been soft selling the body count and knew they were hundreds of bodies that they collected the first day. Most of which are likely to be children who stayed home, without any cell service or power. Rumors of them filling containers with bodies and stacking them up in non refrigerated buildings. I suspect they’re trying to keep numbers down until the news cycle is over.
Despite not providing aid themselves, they have made it incredibly hard for residents to help by blocking the wharf and turning away boats with local aid, they blocked the roads, FEMA has been confiscating pallets of aid claiming it’s not fema approved items and they are not trained to distribute them.
Maui’s Mayor Bissen has acted like a bully throughout this entire mess. Just recently he threw a fit and tried to close down the press conference after a reporter asked “how many children are missing?”

The people of Canada must not back down. If they do they would be resigning themselves to servitude. They would be resigning themselves to being slaves of whatever the government wants and they'll be saying goodbye to their freedom.
The government has pushed back against the Truckers. The people must push back against the Government and the people must push until they win.
The Canadian government is now using fear and intimidation tactics by going after everyone who donated to the Freedom Convoy to create an atmosphere where people would be afraid to voice their disagreement with the government because they don't know what punishment might be fall them.
This is creating a new country where in the future when the government does something that people don't agree with. They dare not speak out or go against the government.
It's the transformation of a Democratic nation into a Dictatorship.
There would be no protest that isn't staged or promoting what the government wants to be protested (or to be precise certain groups within the government).
Just like the BLM protests were Canadian government approved but the Truckers protest was not, therefore it was a considered a crime by the government.
That means the BLM protests where fake.
They were fake because, who were they protesting to. Where they protesting to the powers that be? Well the powers that be wanted them to have their protests and sponsored it with their donations.
So the BLM protests where pointless. It was just a show since the powers that be where behind it.
A new era of Dictatorship is setting upon Canda and when it is fully established, such things are hard or next to impossible to lift.
All of Canada needs to fight back before it's too late.
Freedom may be gone forever. The people being in charge of their lives may be over forever and the government being in charge of everything maybe the new normal.
Canadians must get in their Automobiles and drive in Protest Convoys. They must stage more protests all over Canada. They can't let the government win. The people must win. The everyday people of Canada. Not just the Truckers. Everyone must get involved. The Mums, the Dads, the Children.
You must make this stance now or lose freedom in Canada forever.
If you let Dictator Trudeau win now. You are telling the World Economic Forum that you belong to them. You are their property. They have you. You are not in control of your lives, they are.
Everyone in Canada must protest against the persecution of those who participated in the Freedom Convoy, those who donated to the Freedom Convoy, charges must be brought against cops who physically assaulted peaceful protestors, bank accounts must be unfrozen, the emergency powers must be repealed , Trudeau must be impeached for his Dictatorship, there must be an independent investigation of any links between the World Economic Forum and the Leaders in the Canadian government (all those linked must stand trial & be impeached), there must be an end of all Vax mandates & Mask mandates.
Justin Trudeau who just earned the Award for Communist Dictator of the year by branding citizens peacefully protesting the Vax and Mask mandates as White Supremacists, Terrorists, & Insurrectionists, has now put out a tweet sitting on his high horse and condemning Russia's activities in Ukraine saying that Canada would impose economic sanctions on Russia.
Justin Trudeau: Canada strongly condemns Russia’s recognition of so-called “independent states” in Ukraine. This is a blatant violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and international law. Canada stands strong in its support for Ukraine – and we will impose economic sanctions for these actions.
Justin Trudeau now wants to talk of violating International Law.
Talk about a pot calling the kettle black.
Trudeau not only violated international laws and human rights laws, he also violated the Canadian constitution as well as very tenets of democracy by giving himself emergency powers and still holding on to the emergency powers after an end of the issue he claims is the reason behind emergency orders.
The so-called reason for invoking the emergency powers was to get rid of the Truckers protesting.
Now that they've gotten rid of the Truckers the emergency powers are still up and the Canadian government is talking of making the powers permanent.
They are currently using the power to freeze bank accounts, harass, and imprison any Canadian who donated to the freedom convoy.
This is a great act of Authoritarianism & Dictatorship that is currently carried out daily by Justin Trudeau, yet Canada wants to call Putin a Dictator over what's happening in Ukraine.
