Coronavirus masks vs no masks. What does this mean. There are those in government who should lead the way a were seen my a worldwide audience not wearing masks in places such as hospitals where they are required. Recently Vice President Pence was seen in a hospital with no mask on while others had them on. What example does this set or was he following President Trump's lead by not wearing one, who also stated it was a sign of weakness since they both can get tested on a regular basis. Which brings up another issue, is testing only available to the privilege.
To fight the pandemic, the simplest tool is a mask, that could have saved countless lives during the early stages of covid-19. Because of the polarization of it, we now have people who have been injured or killed due to mask policies put in place to help reduce the spread of Covid-19

Experts say wearing face masks is imperative when trying to slow the spread of the coronavirus. But as the coronavirus pandemic wears on, many are experiencing fatigue with masks and social distancing rules. But nowhere is the discussion around mask-wearing as polarized as in the United States.
The Delta Variant of the coronavirus has changed everything. Masks are required indoors and outdoors even for persons who have been vaccinated. This strain is more infectious than the initial first wave which now stands at 35 million infections and 613 deaths and both continue to climb daily.
Masks wearing, non-mask wearing and lack of vaccinations are filling up hospitals all across the world with the new covid-19 Delta Variant. Save yourself and someone else, get the vaccines. Make a difference in the lives of health care workers, your family, and your friends.
With the spreading of the Delta Covid Variant, people have been advised to wear and mask indoors as well as outside, even if one has been vaccinated as a safety guard against the new variant. Unvaccinated people are filling up the hospitals now and are much younger in age.
Poor communication regarding the when to wear may be contributing to the potential increase of the Delta Variant, which has spread to all 50 states and in Washington D.C. The variant is even more contagious than the original variant. Some stores still require masks if one is not vaccinated, but how do you know who isn't vaccinated. Unfortunately, the anti-vaccine and anti-masks people are enjoying this freedom while still subject to contracting the virus.
The best thing to do is keep a mask handy. Some states are ending the mask mandate for those who are fully vaccinated. However there are some big box stores that require masks in others don't in the same jurisdiction. If the store has a sign posted, masks required, if you want service follow the guidance if you don't people look at you like you have typhoid fever and start yelling at you, maybe even call the police. These kinds of confrontations have occurred before this point in time. Be careful and use common sense.
Should masks mandates end since we have the vaccines. Have we forgotten that there are variants such as the India and Brazilian variants which are highly contagious and deadly. We don't know if the current vaccines are effect against those variants. Some states are contemplating ending the mask mandate contrary to the CDC recommendations.
The use mask or not continues in American but we can see the infection rate and deaths go up in 37 states particularly in states that what to open at 100% and eliminate the statewide masks mandate. This has truly been more of a political decision versus one that takes in to account public health. Only 15% so far have been vaccinated at least with one shot. Many public and private health officials believe we are in for another surge.
Its hard enough to get people to wear one mask. Now medical experts are saying two masks will provide a higher level of protection against the new variants that have emerged. Since 95 masks are being reserved for medical personnel, there is the KN95 that is not medical grade but suppose to do the trip. How about it someone develops a mask that will serve the purpose required. Once vaccinated we will still be wearing mask. Statistically we need 70 to 80 percent to reach herd immunity, and currently 1 out of 4 people indicate that they will not get the vaccination.
If wearing a mask can save lives and it's one of the most effective weapons that we have right now, then why has it been so politicized.
