The enigmatic Christopher Kah has furthered his eclectic catalogue with more unique and inspiring output on its way this February. The 'Intuitive Music' album is a showcase of Kah's ability to weave together the worlds of sound and cinema, pure emotion at every twist and turn, playing out animations right before your eyes as each short journey presents its own tale. The talented composer is grabbing his artistic freedom with both hands inviting his peers to join him.

When you begin to unravel the 'Intuitive Music' experience, you are not simply listening, but every sense in your body is tantalised and enlightened by the intelligent vibrations which urge your thought processes to steer in original directions, outside of the box and anything you have wondered before.
Kah has never been afraid to express himself in a diverse manner, constructing music and projects way beyond the norm, and he wants to pass on this ethos. The idea of this project is not only for the Frenchman to showcase what he can craft, but to encourage other artists to not settle for typical formats. An album should be created by the artist for the artist, a natural and organic process, an open invitation to make their mark on the vast music industry of the 21st century.
To no surprise, French live performer and all round studio maestro, Christopher Kah will further his extensive catalogue of innovative sounds with his fresh and original CKL concept launching on the 5th of March. The CKL series will span across several months taking us on a quest through Spring and launching us into summer. The idea behind the series is that Christopher will release one track every two weeks from the beginning of March, currently with an open end. As the releases begin to unravel you can expect discerning techno of the highest order, emotive and deep house, and several strains of melodic tones.
Coinciding with his forthcoming releases, Kah has said he will be dedicating his time and energy into his Youtube channel. This includes the new series - Intuitive Sessions - which will include unique visuals, and live improvisations utilising a minimal amount of machines, a skill in which Christopher holds close to his heart, realising the value of making the most of each and every machine he uses. After ten years of silent maturation, now is the time of awakening. âLes Frequences Interditesâ is the latest studio album from acclaimed French artist, Christopher Kah, a cinematic experience via the form of sound, providing an all round stimulation of your senses. His unconventional approach to music has led him on an illusive career thus far, traversing through multiple shades of techno, from discerning to industrial. Unintentionally collecting these tracks for the last ten years this project sees the sheer passion leak into unmarked territory, there were never any boundaries with time, or limits to sound, leaving an incessant freedom for the Roland affiliate to delve deeper with experimental explorations, and approach numerous styles.
It is to no surprise that the nine track album has already received enormous support from fellow French pioneer, Laurent Garnier on his âIt is What It Isâ radio show, an immediate stamp of approval from a highly respected peer, only expected to increase over the coming period as the world receives Kahâs latest statement.
Each of the outings on the album attract you in with a soft whispering female voice, setting the tone for the next chapter, with opening track âEnlightenmentâ igniting with the words âThe Beginningâ, and so it begins. Steering clear of the generic four to the floor, the thudding broken drums, flashing vocal, and pensive synth work make this an eclectic inception to the body of work and Christopher Kahâs universe. âHistoryâ follows up with a gradual and steady lift through organic drumwork, a somewhat eerie and dark mood that grips you. Shuffling movements in âPaternityâ lean this toward a trip hop entity, conjoined with melodic synths which bring an engrossing angle. âGlorious Sunâ is 3 minutes of distinctive ambience, as the female chants drag you out of the rain, transcending you in the next soundscape. A sense of panic in urgency in âRun Run Afterâ creating imagery of an intense chase, a nod towards the hay days of Drum & Bass, an expected, thrashing number adding to the bizarre curation.
Another discerning journey lowering the heart rate in âDisturbancy - Initiateâ a chugging sci-fi trip leading you into murky waters or mystery. Psychedelic and peculiar spoken words work their way around the body of the track in âDamagedâ, the voices embedding firmly in your mind enforcing a loss of your surroundings. The aptly named âMirageâ tantalises your thought process, launching you deeper into this out earth excursion to the point of no return. Encapsulating the rollercoaster of emotion your body has encountered in one track, allowing the escapism to intensify, painting the last strokes on the canvas, building mellowly to a graceful ending of the visual experience. An unimaginable force that has cut deeper than the skin.
Bonus track â14 Ansâ lifts spirits with probably the most funk orientated arrangement out of the nine, a pleasant experience allowing time to stop and reflect on the experience that laid before you.
Kahâs recent endeavours do not halt here, as he recently propelled his ECHO LIVE project into the music cosmos, a collaboration with veterans of the game, Roland. The live moniker sees Christopher utilising the bare amount of two machines, a Roland MC-707 and Roland TR-8S, proving once again it is more than possible to create intelligent music with minimum resources.
There was never a doubt in anyone's mind that Kah could take us to this visually outer universe location, but now there is evidence for all to absorb and endure. A fantastic display of sound variation, bridging across contrasting moods and atmospheres, with pure emotion seeping through the gaps.

Christopher Kah is a multidisciplinary electronic music producer and performer from France. He mastered the art of sound design and his performance on stage is always an evolving concept of dj-ing, synthesizers, drumcomputers and samplers. His music is focused on the darker side of techno and house, with fresh and unique sounding deep grooving basslines, haunting riffs and moody pads.
Christopher has 10 years of Classical & Jazz music experience as an organ player. When he started to producing in 2001, it was a revelation for for him. âWith electronic music you have unlimited bank of sounds and I believe we capture sounds from space, and then render them to the peopleâ. At his first gig in 2005 he remembers being given a note from someone in the audience which said: âThanks for the tripâ. That is what Christopher had in mind, making people travel through his story.
His productions and remixes have appeared on a number of major labels including International Gigolo Records, Cr2 and Get Physical Music and are played and supported by established artists such as Laurent Garnier, Dr Motte & Dave Clarke. As one of the few people he collaborated with DJ Hell for more than 2 years what resulted in many tracks and remixes.
