Multnomah County’s Department of Community Justice is making available signs for restaurants and taverns that want to inform patrons how their business is helping parole and probation officers keep the community safe.
The display flyer reads, “All Patrons: This establishment is working in cooperation with Multnomah County Adult Probation and Parole to monitor persons currently on supervision who are not allowed to enter a bar and/or not allowed to consume alcohol. Violations of these conditions of supervision may result in sanctions and you may be asked to leave the premises.”
The department’s work supervising more than 8,000 adults on parole and probation places a premium on new solutions that work with the community.
