My goal was to bring catchy, yet metalic and somewhat harsh sounding techno together with experimental noise (field recording) as well as spoken word. The track was inspired by the novel The Grass is Singing by Doris Lessing, so I tried to include some recurring motives from the book: cicadas, train wistle. The rhythm itself intends to evoke the sound of an approaching train, which comes nearer and nearer before it reaches a droning, maddening state and then falls apart (the rhythm itself falls apart with a sense of shrill urgency). This is supposed to reference the idea of rushing to one's downfall. The lyrics/vocals give a sense of resignation to this inevitable downfall. Both works I have referenced feature women who give into their own tragedy (female life cannot exist within these circumstances.) I used my own voice for the vocal part in the drop and wrote the lyrics, although these rely heavily on the source material, the afore mentioned novel and Sylvia Plath's Full Fathom Five.
Célom a befogadható, de fémes, érdes hangzású technót, a kísérleti zajzenét (field recording) és a megzenésített verset összehozni ebben a számban. Trekkem inspirációja Doris Lessing A fű dalol című regény, így a könyv néhány visszatérő motívumát próbáltam beleemelni: a tücskök zaja, vonatfütty. A ritmus célja szintén a vonat zakatolását idézni. A zakatolást, amely egy zajos, besűrűsödött állapotig fokozódik, majd felbomlik (maga a ritmus is, sürgetővé és harsánnyá válik). Ez a ritmusképlet a pusztulás felé való száguldást jelképezi (számomra). A szöveg/vokál rész a pusztulásba való beletörődést jeleníti meg.Az idézett alkotások mindkét főszereplője beletörődik a sorsába (a női lét megsemmisülése az adott körülmények között). Saját hangomat és saját 2 soros versemet (bár ez erősen támaszkodik a regény egy a regényben elhangzott mondatra, illetve egy Sylvia Plath Öt ölnyi mélybe versének egy sorára) használtam a dropban.

I wanted to select tracks that were suitable for a young child, yet still interesting or even exciting, while maintaining a cheerful and balanced mood.
