This is a weekly podcast where our three hosts: Avi Ruparelia and Aarush Lal, talk to student guests about the economic news globally. Each week we will have a different student guest, if you would like to join us as a guest you can fill out the form on our website.
On this weeks episode Avi Ruparelia and Aarush Lal were joined by a familiar voice Peter Shaw where they discussed the Lockdown 3.0 in the UK and its implications, whether an interest rate cut would be necessary, what Trump's legacy is and finally what the outlook for global stock markets is for 2021. This week we have a special episode based around the BREXIT trade agreement struck last week. Avi Ruparelia and Rohit Ramanan were joined by a new voice, Jacob Haddo. They discussed many different parts of the deal including their opinions, is the deal a bad one because of the poor agreement in financial services, how important leaving the European Court of Justice is and finally what BREXIT means for Scotland and its potential vote for independence.
On this weeks episode Avi Ruparelia and Aarush Lal were joined by a familiar voice Morgan Springer where they discussed the UK Spending Review of two weeks ago, in particular talking about the new infrastructure fund, the freezing of key worker wages outside of the NHS, the cut in foreign aid and finally BREXIT- Deal or No deal. After days of waiting we finally have the result of the USA election. Joe Biden will be the 46th President of the USA. Peter Shaw joined: Avi Ruparelia and Aarush Lal where they discussed the whether democracy has had its reputation tainted after this election, can we trust the US polls at all, how Biden will deal with the rife inequality in America and whether or not the UK can maintain the 'special US, UK' relationship with Joe Biden as president?
