Here's another teacher's perspective on teaching English in Korea. The questions I ask are:

Some students have been having trouble making a podcast. So here's a quick summary of how to do it.
This week you will start to survey other Korea University students. It is important that you are polite and approach people in a good way so that they will answer your questions.
When you are surveying, remember to use English and to use good voice intonation.

Each week you need to create at least one podcast on podomatic.com. First you need to create a FREE account (don’t go pro).
Once you have created an account, go to publish/podcast/manage and create a personal url.
You must email your url to me by the end of week two of the course. This shows me that you have created your free account. The purpose of making these podcasts is to give you an opportunity to practice your English outside of class time. Your podcast will be evaluated based on its quality and quantity. It will make up part of the self-study portion of your grade. I will listen to your podcasts from time to time and leave comments when I do.
IMPORTANT: Do not read from a script when you make a podcast. It is ok to plan what you want to say, but the idea of a podcast is to practice speaking naturally – not to read aloud.
You can make podcasts on any of the following topics: - Reflective statements - What have you learned in class? What do you think about your progress? (You must do at least four of these.) - A conversation between you and another student (You must do at least one of these.) - Instructions on how to do something (You must do at least one of these.) - Local/national/international news stories that caught your attention - Review and evaluation of your class discussions and presentations - Review and evaluation of your classmates' presentations (be careful!!) - Movie summary/review - Book summary/review - Your diary (make sure you are not reading!) - Anything that is creative and interesting
Each podcast must be between 1-3 minutes in length.
