Gunny Sergeant Ryan Pieraccini served 19 years in the US Military as a Combat Engineer, MP, Combat Instructor, Security Company Platoon, and Recruiter and spent his time after being honorably discharged helping and advocating for veterans. He passed away in November, 2020, when he was 47 due to a traumatic brain injury from his time on active duty. Gunny's Warriors was started by Gunny Sergeant Pieraccini's parents to provide education and assistance for those affected by Traumatic Brain Injuries and also help in research.
