Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO) is a university student movement dedicated to evangelization. We challenge students to live in the fullness of the Catholic faith with a strong emphasis on becoming leaders in the renewal of the world. CCO was founded by André and Angèle Regnier in 1988 at the University of Saskatchewan. From the humble beginnings of a handful of students, the movement now serves thousands of students across Canada.

Evangelization often requires working in teams. It is essential that each team member shares the same vision so that all are working towards the same goal. Today, Angele is joined by Michael Hall and Eloisa Greenwald to discuss how to establish and maintain healthy teams.
How do we navigate the "sacred ground of the other"? It is important to be reverant and sensitive when approaching those we are accompanying on their journey with Christ. Today, Holly, Andre and Eric discuss the Art of Asking Good Questions to help us navigate opportunities to evangelize.
Today, Andre, Angele and Fr. Sean Wenger discuss the Easter Triduum; the celebration of the Passion, death, and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Unpacking the beauty and mystery of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday, they give us ideas on how to enter into the celebration and solemnity as missionary disciples.
Evangelization can be an ambiguous goal in the Church. It can often be like blindly throwing darts at a bullseye; you might hit the target eventually, but a more strategic approach can save you a lot of time and energy. This week, Andre, Angele and Fr. Sean Wenger discuss how to hit the bullseye.
The #coronavirus gives us many opportunities to share the Gospel with those who are experiencing fear and uncertainty. Our faith can be a light in these dark times, but why are we evangelizing?
The Church believes the goal of evangelization (i.e., the intention of spreading the Gospel,) is to bring about conversion, or 'metanoia'. Metanoia, from Latin, is a change in one's way of life due to repentance. This repentance is experienced as a change of the heart, the will, and the mind. #MPD
Your movement is dependent on the quality of your leaders; It will only go as far as they take it. The selection of your leaders is vital! This week, Angéle, Holly and Michael dive into CCO's model of selection: F.A.C.T.
Do you know your testimony? The story of how you got from 'there' to 'here' is a fantastic tool we can use to accompany our people. This week, Angèle, Michael and Holly discuss how to share your testimony with those who need to hear it.
What is missionary culture?
This week we will discuss how to develop a missionary culture in your organization or ministry. Culture is made up of what we celebrate, reward and tolerate within our organization; ultimately, these fuel our culture.
Ultimately, we all live by Providence, trusting God for our needs. And for CCO missionaries, living by Providence has a distinct component: partnering with supporters who give the funds for missionary salaries and expenses.
In this episode, Angele talks with Andrew Nobauer and Joseph Murphy about what it's like to rely on God's Providence in this unique way. #MDP
This podcast is a discussion about mission in the Church. "Culture eats strategy for breakfast"; Often we spend a lot of time on strategy in our parishes only to be disappointed with the results. One reason may be a lack of culture to back us the strategy. Andre is joined by Amber Zolc and Dennis Barry to discuss on this week's #MDP.

RECAST
This week's episode is a recast of our episode on Great Expectations (S2E14). Do you expect great things from the Lord? To do so requires trusting that He is good and has the transcendent authority to accomplish more than our wildest dreams.
Discernment is about making a decision between two things. St. Ignatius has given us three ways to determine what the Lord is saying and how He is calling us to act.
This teaser episode recaps what Angèle discussed in her Rise Up 2019 workshop: http://bit.ly/2RO3AOC
This week Andre and Angèle discuss Rise Up, CCO's yearly national Catholic young adult conference. God very clearly challenged us to build the city of God inside the city of man, echoing the words of Pope St. John Paul II in at World Youth Day Toronto 2002.

In this episode, Angèle is joined by Holly Leonard and Joel Regnier to discuss the first of the campus phases: preparation. Team bonding, time for prayer and planning, and outlining and delegating tasks set you up to do well in the next phases.
These phases are cyclical, with preparation being the first. Listen to the other episodes on campus phases released previously in season 2 of the Missionary Disciple Podcast.
It is the feast of the Holy Name of Jesus! We love Jesus, don't you? André and Angèle are joined again by Fr. Sean Wenger to discuss the power and promise of the name of our Lord.
Angéle, Holly and Jackie discuss Great Expectations. How do you think about and approach your people in a place of hope and faith? It's a mindset, but also an attitude.
In this repost from last Advent, André, Angèle and Gerhard discuss how to prepare for Christmas in our interior lives.
Andre and Angèle are joined by Fr. Sean Wagner, CC, to discuss conversion—the heart of evangelization. As missionary disciples, we must remember that Jesus can and does change lives; this is the good news everyone is looking for.
In this episode, Andre and Angèle are joined by Bp. Christian Riesbek, CC, to discuss how to be a missionary disciple in the parish context.
This week we have a very special guest with us, Bp. Christian Riesbeck, CC, to discuss a 2013 apostolic exhortation by Pope Francis on "the church's primary mission of evangelization in the modern world." This document is especially important to CCO, and as we speak we have CCO delegates presenting at the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization on this topic.
How do you keep momentum when your faith study is winding down? How do you celebrate conversion?
This week, Angéle, Joel and Holly discuss the practical, tangible ways they have lived out the continuation and celebration phases on campus. These phases take CCO from a club on campus to a national movement.
Integration Phase is when big asks are made of students on campus. It's the next big step in accompanying them in their growth in holiness and mission. It means moving from being a participant in a program to a member of the movement.
Andre, Angèle, and Holly continue the conversation from last week on Prophetic Listening. This week, we focus on the skills involved: building rapport, surveying, zooming-in, and strengthening.
Prophetic listening is connecting with what the Lord is trying to say, and speaking it with clarity, charity, and wisdom. In your ministry, prophetic listening can help you listen for what the Lord is doing in the lives of your people, enabling you to accompany them more effectively.
Spiritual multiplication is the way we will renewal the world. In 2 Timothy 2:2, Paul writes to Timothy, asking him to entrust the Gospel to faithful people "who will have the ability to teach others as well." CCO's method to identify these faithful people is as simple as 1, 2, 3, and 4.
It's the anniversary of CCO's foundation. Andre, Angéle and our president Jeff Lockert share stories demonstrating how the Holy Spirit is the architect of our movement and of evangelization in the Church.
Childlike trust in the Father is at the heart of intercession, and intentional accompaniment. It takes grit, persistence, and trust in the Lord to ask Him for great things, entrusting those we pray for to Him.
Today on the #MDP, André is joined by Holly Leonard and Eric Filion, both missionaries with Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO). The Discovery faith study is a great place where we can accompany those on the peripheries who don't know Jesus. How we intentionally accompany others into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Michelle Gallagher joins Andre and Angèle once again to address a crucial aspect in the "Activation" phase.
Enjoy!
Michelle Gallagher joins Andre and Angele to follow up on last week's discussion on the "Activation" phase . This conversation focuses on the principle of "Sowing Broadly".

This Sunday is Pentecost, the day the world changed as the Holy Spirit came down upon the Apostles. If we are serious about our role as missionary disciples, we need to have the Holy Spirit as our constant guide and companion. With Him, twelve scared Jewish men changed the course of History.

Lent is 40 days, of sacrifice, prayer, and almsgiving. The Easter season last for 50 days, but how many of us celebrate the resurrection for the full season? Most of us just return to life as normal after lent, with no real conversion. Andre and Angele take us through some practices to help us have a real change of life this Easter.

Angele takes us through a deep dive into the five faith studies created by CCO. She breaks down the studies, where they came from, and why they are designed the way they are. Our studies are the most direct and effective tool at raising multiplying missionary disciples within the Church today.

Here at CCO, we try to fully embrace a spirit of holy goofiness, or as St. Thomas Aquinas calls it, eutraphelia. While this may seem like a silly topic when speaking about evangelization, having a lightness, and a well-formed sense of humor is a necessary aspect of bringing others to Christ. Andre and Angele provide some practical insights on how to bring holy goofiness into your ministry.

We all want to see the world changed for Christ, but it's too easy to rely on programs to bring the masses to Christ and not reach out to each individual in front of us. Evangelization will be it's most successful when we reach people one person at a time.

How willing are you to fight against the little things that suck the life out of your prayer time? We all face distractions, discouragement, and lack of discipline when it comes to maintaining a healthy prayer life. Andre, Angele, and Gerhard have a discussion on the battle for prayer and what practical things to do to help navigate the challenges that come up.
The best relationships that we have in our lives are the ones where we are not afraid to go deep. Likewise in our relationship with Christ, the more we can deepen our relationship the stronger our relationship will be. The million dollar question then is: how do we deepen our relationship? The Church answers with a clear pathway: praise, verbal prayer, meditative prayer, and contemplative prayer. Today we explore verbal, meditative, and contemplative prayer.
