Jesus is alive, and His resurrection is both a declaration of victory and a personal invitation to live with great expectation.

Hope is a positive expectation of the future. People need hope. In fact, it's necessary for human flourishing, but Christian hope is different. Hebrews 10:23 says, "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." All other hope is shakeable and abstract, but Christian hope is specific, certain, and communal, rooted in the promises of God. Pastor Ethan begins a new teaching series, Advent as we enter into the Christmas season.
Pastor Ethan shares some exciting updates on the future of Church on the Move Broken Arrow and our family of churches as we continue through our teaching series, Missio Dei.
We want to know that our future is secure and at peace. Jesus has our future in His hands, but it requires us to traverse discomfort. God will often call you out to build trust. Pastor Gabe continues in our teaching series, Missio Dei.
What God has for you has a view that is a thousand times better than you can ever dream up, but you won’t get there if you quit. Keep taking the steps of faith God is putting in front of you! Pastor Ian continues in our teaching series, Missio Dei.
Whatever God does in you, He wants to do through you. People often think of their walk with God as running a race, but perhaps the most accurate picture of what following God should look like is running a relay race. This picture reminds us we’re part of a larger story, and we’re meant to pass the baton on to the next generation. To do this, we have to be willing to let go of what has been to step into what’s to come. Pastor Ethan continues in our teaching series, Missio Dei.
The act of gardening with God is one of the greatest acts of faith you can do. There is nothing that you need to live the life that God has called you to live. The potential is there, all you have to do is see it. Pastor Ethan kicked off our new teaching series, Missio Dei where we begin to uncover what God’s mission is for us.
How do we respond in faith when we come up against opposition? Pastor Gabe George shows us what it means to put action to our belief and gives a beautiful example at how the father meets us in our faith. Put actions to your belief and you have a biblical picture of what true faith is in the face of opposition in our life.
You’re listening to Youth Takeover Weekend with Pastor Ian Wilson. This week, Pastor Ian preaches out of Malachi 4:5-6: “He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children.” - He talks about how we can raise the next generation right by praying for them, leading by example and going first.
At the end of Revelations John describes a new creation to come, one in which we will be fully alive and finally free of the limitations of sin. But this new life isn't reserved for after the end. The power of God works in us even now, giving us new life and redeeming us today. We are not supposed to wait for the end for that new life, we are to seek it today. Right now.
We usually don’t want to know the end of the story. In Revelation, John spoils the end; but because we know the ending, we can live in the hope of what's to come. We can live differently in the present because we know what’s at stake. We must remember, we’re not fighting for victory but from victory.
In Revelation, John gives us a picture of the Anti-Christ’s nature, reality, and mark. In Revelation 12, we see a cosmic view of the battle between the devil (the dragon) and God’s people, and in Revelation 13, we’re introduced to the beast (the anti-Christ)–a man whom the dragon gives his authority to. These passages remind us to be careful how much faith we’re putting in other people and force us to ask, whose mark do I bear?
Revelation puts in front of us some of the biggest objections people have to Christianity: the reality of suffering and judgment. But what if the real story here is not a God of judgment but a God of mercy? Revelation 6-8 reveals the true nature of judgment, the sacred nature of endurance, and the certain faithfulness of God. Join us as Pastor Ethan Vanse walks us through these chapters in week 4 of our Revelation series.
In Revelation 4-5, John experiences some of the most captivating scriptures in the whole Bible. He aims to describe the indescribable. Before the Lord shows John a picture of the future, He shows him a throne standing in heaven. These passages urge us to live our lives in light of this revelation: God’s plan will be fulfilled. Join Pastor Ethan Vanse, along with Pastors Ian Wilson, Brenda Oakes, and Shawn Thomas as we journey through these scriptures.
In Revelation 2-3, we read John’s letter to seven churches. These passages are Christ’s words to His Church. The letter to Ephesus reminds us that our witness is broken when it’s disconnected from love. The letter to the church in Laodicea reveals that apart from God we can do nothing. God has chosen to speak primarily to and through the Church. So, what is the Spirit speaking to Church on the Move? Pastor Ethan Vanse teaches on these principles, and gives us a hope for what God is doing now in the Church.
There may be no other book in the Bible quite as compelling yet equally mysterious as the book of Revelation. So, how should we approach a book like this? It’s important to look at the book both as a prophecy and as a letter. The Church is missing something significant when we don’t read Revelation; it’s a story that reframes our perspective, strengthens our resolve, and calls us to worship. Pastor Ethan Vanse shows us that when we navigate eschatology through Jesus we see the whole picture clearly.
Pastor Ian Wilson takes us through our final week in our Proverbs series. Sometimes God calls us up from where we are to a new level. Often these seasons can be challenging. We learn that through that work of leveling up, God is able then to send us out for his purpose.
Pastor Ethan Vanse takes us through Part 10 of our summer series in Proverbs. This weekend we look at the difference in emotional hope and biblical hope. Where emotional hope dies, biblical hope begins. When we learn to put that hope in Jesus, we see God in everything and in everything no matter what our circumstances are.
You're listening to part 9 of our teaching series in Proverbs. Pastor Gabe George shows us 5 attributes of Christ Centered relationships in our lives, and how these missional relationships function with Jesus at the center of them.
This week in Proverbs, we dive into the topic of money and how we tend to have a distorted lens around this topic. God’s economy runs on faith, and it all begins with trusting Him one step at a time. When we learn to see money as a gift from God and a way to honor Him, we can find a joyful and meaningful experience with our finances.
You’re listening to week 7 of our Proverbs series with Pastor Don Bell. Don teaches on the balance of Justice and Mercy. When we are walking with the hilt spirit God brings correction but is always quick to comfort as well.
You’re listening to week 6 of our Proverbs series with Pastor Ian Wilson. This week, Pastor Ian walks us through how to fulfill & maximize God’s plan & vision for your life through diligence & trusting in God.
Proverbs 21:5 ESV
The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.
Our words have power, often more than we realize. There are times when we should refrain from speaking and times when we should have difficult conversations. But how do you know when & how to speak? Luckily, Proverbs gives us a roadmap for navigating these nuanced situations with wisdom.
You're listening to week 4 of our Proverbs Series with founding Pastor Willie George. Joseph is given a unique gift of interpreting dreams, in his youth we see him misuse this gifting, but through his life he gains wisdom and understanding and his gifting leads him to being second in command in all of Egypt. Wisdom from God leads us in the right pathways and utilizes our gifting and circumstances for good.
You’re listening to week 3 of our Proverbs series. Pastor Ethan Vanse takes us though the wisdom of proverbs. We see how though high humility and high agency we can become mature in our faith. We also see what the results are when we don’t apply those principals to areas of our life.
Join us for week two of our series on Proverbs: Wisdom for Every Day Life with Pastor Gabe George. To know God is to know His ways. Man’s ways are informed by personal understanding and experience. But God’s way is submission to His Word and His Voice. His ways are where we find true and life-giving wisdom.
The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.
Proverbs 4:7 NIV
Pastor Ian wilson walks us through week 1 of our Proverbs series, Wisdom for Every Day Life. Gods wisdom leads us to better life in so many ways. When we follow the words of Jesus and submit our lives to His word We see true life-giving wisdom.
Sometimes, life doesn’t go as expected. Joseph certainly didn't expect for his life to turn out the way it did. But God never leads you to a dead end. Throughout Scripture, we see that He provides a way for His people over and over again. God never promised a life without trouble, but He can give your pain purpose and work all things for the good of those who love Him. Pastor Shawn Thomas closes out our Joseph Series showing how God can fulfill purpose and renew it again.
Forgiveness and reconciliation are two concepts not only central to the story of Joseph, but central to the Christian faith. Forgiveness is about coming to the Lord with the fullness of your feelings and trusting Him with them. It's an inner work between you and God. Sometimes, this inner work leads to repentance and reconciliation with others. What God desires above all, is reconciliation with you. Pastor Ethan Vanse teaches us about this forgiveness. What we see is how forgiveness+repentance+reformation+trust=reconcilliation.
You’re listening to part 4 of our Joseph series with Pastor Ethan Vanse. We see a beautiful story of a heart change in Judah when Joseph puts his brother through a test in Genesis 42. We walk through tests in our life but when we choose what God wants through those moments we see that tests produce trust when we are obedient, and we can know that when things get hardest it’s when we lean into God the most.
You’re listening to Part 3 of our Joseph series with Pastor Ian Wilson. Only God can fulfill God dreams. We see examples in Genesis 41 of dreams that Joseph has and how serving others dreams brought out the dreams that God had given to Joseph.
God has a way of bringing us to in-the-meantime seasons – a place where you feel stuck in the middle of where you used to be and where you want to go. In Genesis 39, this is where Joseph is at. God often does His most significant work in our lives during this time if we let Him. But it can be hard to trust that He’s working even when we don’t see it. What God has for you is better than what you could ever imagine for yourself. But how do you follow Him in the meantime?
The story of Joseph is the story of a family and God’s faithfulness to them. What does it mean to have God working in and through your family? The reality of family is that you’re connected to a people whether you realize it or not, and where you come from shapes you in significant ways. Unless you allow your relationship with God to shape and refine you, all of your outward faith will have very little impact on your family, and unhealthy patterns will persist. But the good news is God is faithful in spite of your unfaithfulness. What could happen in your family because of your obedience?

The invitation we see from Jesus in Luke 24 as he journeys with two of his followers down the road is to a life that is wildly different. Jesus wants us to live with burning hearts for him as his followers now! Pastor Ian Wilson shows us the journey that Jesus wants to take us on in our own lives and how to let him draw near to you. To live a life that is wildly different than what we can imagine.
Easter 2023 at Church On The Move Broken Arrow! Pastor Ethan Vanse walks us through an Easter message of hope in a God who is personal. Jesus wants to draw near to us in every way. He wants us to invite him in for a personal relationship. The message of Easter is a resurrected Savior who died for you personally and loves you immeasurably.
In Luke 22 Jesus prays a powerful prayer before facing the hardest challenge of his life. Pastor Ian Wilson shows us 3 principals out of these scriptures that we can apply to our life. When we are facing challenging or difficult times we find peace and wisdom when we Relinquish to Gods will, He meets us in resurrection and resolve.
The spirit, indeed, is willing, but the flesh is weak. In Mark 14, we see Peter experience this reality. We need spiritual disciplines to stay ready to respond to the Lord. Prayer and fasting focus our attention and create this space for God to move. So bring everything to Him in bold faith, knowing His grace and power powerfully flows wherever He’s invited.
In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus invited the disciples to, “Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matthew 26:41). It’s all too easy to live life on autopilot, but what if you’re missing something important because you’re not fully awake? Whether it’s busyness, distraction, discouragement, or selfishness, there’s always something vying for your attention and priority. Jesus invites you to wake up and pay attention. Pastor Ethan Vanse walks us through part one of our new series and shows us that through obedience, repentance, and communion with God in prayer, we can enter into a season of awareness.
Pastor Willie George wraps up our amazing series with a powerful message on renewing the mind and resisting our flesh.
You're listening to part 5 of our series "The War Within" with Pastor Gabe George. What does it look like to live a life where we truly live in a transformative relationship with Jesus. We look at specific examples of how to walk this out in scripture and how we can allow Jesus to truly transform the way we live.
1 John 2:9-17 Shows us clear instruction from John to the Christian church in regard to "culture" or "the world". We see how the people we love create the direction we live. The church is a counterculture where new life grows because new values drive new practices. Pastor Ethan Vanse walks us through the important role that the church plays in a world that is unstable and dark, and how the church creates light and cures instability and confusion.
Everywhere there is a spiritual battle God has an answer to help you identify and resist that spiritual enemy. Pastor Ethan Vanse shows us in Romans 8:5-17 3 ways which we can walk in the spirit daily. By developing awareness and creating space, listening and obeying, and feeding your spirit and starving your flesh we can learn to trust the spirit fully and rely on it through every moment in every day of your life to lead you in the life of the Kingdom.
In Ephesian 2, Paul reveals our three enemies: the flesh, the world, and the devil. This week, Pastor Whit details how you can combat Satan: the father of lies. Before you can defeat the devil, you have to understand that he is real, his goal is destruction, and his weapons are lies. How do you fight lies? You fight them with the truth: the truth that God speaks in His word.
There is a struggle within you. Paul understood what this felt like: “For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out” (Romans 7:18). Paul would tell you this war isn’t just physical; there is a spiritual battle happening both inside you and around you. And this war of wills can leave you wondering, Have I changed at all? But take heart: this war is winnable. Galatians 5:16 says, “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” Will you decide to fight?
Pastor Ian Wilson wraps up part 4 of our series Encountering Jesus. In John 9, Jesus heals the man born blind. Faith gives us new eyes. By faith, we receive the work of Jesus, see the work of Jesus, and join the work of Jesus. God is always working and moving, and we have to train our eyes to see Him. Our world is intentionally designed to numb us from the awareness of God. So we must be counter-formed through spiritual practices to train our spiritual eyes.
Thanks for joining us for week 2 of our series Encountering Jesus! Pastor Ethan Vanse takes us through John 2 and shows us a valuable lesson in obedience. With God, obedience is always more important than outcomes. Pastor Ethan encourages us to treasure obedience, and value complete obedience. God always knows where we need to go.
You're listening to week 1 of our series in the Gospel of John called, Encountering Jesus. Pastor Ethan Vanse walks us through what it looks like to really ask God to lead us and how often Jesus answers our prayer by working on something that feels unrelated. When we are able to trust Him where he leads us it always takes us exactly where we are supposed to go.
You're listening to a message from Church on the Move Broken Arrow! Pastor Ian Wilson delivers a hope filled message for kicking off 2023 with hope and direction!
The idea that God is love is not only fundamental to understanding what Christmas means for you, but understanding the very nature of God and of yourself. Love comes from God; it didn’t orginate with mankind and it won’t end with mankind. God’s love is eternal and transcendent. This is why your need for love cannot be filled with earthly things. Luckily, you were made by a God who is eteranl and eternally loving. The story of Christmas is the story of God choosing to make Himself vulnerable, paying the ultimate cost for love.
Joy is a a feeling of great pleasure and happiness, and Christmas can be filled with the promise of joy and cheer. But when our joy comes from external things, it’s fleeting. The true source of joy is knowing God is working in your life and that He is good. Joy is not a season, or a moment, or a movie; Joy for the Christ-follower is a person, and His name is Jesus.
As we approach Christmas, we’re making space to truly experience God. Christmas means the forever promise of peace with God, peace with others, and peace within. This peace comes through the sacrifice of Jesus, who absorbed the debt of our wrongdoing. Because of His forgiveness, we are called to respond to others with humility and forgiveness, living in the promise of peace.
Hope is a positive expectation of the future. People need hope. In fact, it's necessary for human flourishing. But Christian hope is different. Hebrews 10:23 says, "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.” All other hope is shakeable and abstract, but Christian hope is specific, certain, and communal, rooted in the promises of God.
You’re listening to Church On The Move Broken Arrow message podcast! Pastor Ethan Vanse takes us through the power of being with God. When God is with us everything changes and we learn how we walk this out practically in our life.
You're listening to Church on the Move Broken Arrow. Pastor Gabe George walks us through Matthew 28:18 and Jesus' commissioning. We are meant to dig deeper into our calling to compassion and grace and allow the presence and purpose of God to lead us in our life. Leading us closer to Jesus and his presence.
There is no life of following Jesus apart from good works, because whatever you worship you will become like. Good works are acts of compassion, generosity, and service. As a Christ-follower, you are gracious and compassionate to others because God has been gracious and compassionate to you. In Titus 2 and 3, Paul explains that you must be zealous, ready, and devoted to good works, because God can and will use you to bless others.
In week 4 of our series, "What the Bible Says About Money" Pastor Brenda Oakes teaches an incredible message on generosity. We see Paul in 2 Corinthians teaching that generosity is not just within the framing of our finances, but rather the heart that we have behind it. We have to find different examples, a different scoreboard, and deeper grace than that of the world and to do so we have to take the examples of Jesus and what Paul is teaching us to be truly generous in our life.
We live in a culture of dishonor—you see it in the cynicism and sarcasm that tears down everything without limit. You see it in how we talk to and about each other. We've grown up in this culture of dishonor, so the Biblical idea of honor might not come naturally to you. But honor is a part of the culture of Heaven, and you're meant to honor God.
Matthew 25:14-30 gives us an incredible picture of what it means to be a good steward. You’re not called to hoard your gifts and blessings; You're called to make the most of what God has given you. He gives according to your ability, but He rewards according to your faithfulness. This means true stewardship is not being successful; it’s being faithful.
Money is a heart issue. There’s not an area of our life that’s not impacted by our experience and attitude about money. It’s vying for a place in our hearts because it carries with it a hope of security, peace, and satisfaction. Our Heavenly Father sees where we’re at, and He wants to supply our needs. Whether you’re in a time of need or a time of abundance, are you willing to trust Him? Join us for week one of our series What the Bible Says About Money
In Ephesians 6, Paul reminds the church that we will face opposition. There is an enemy, and we have to be ready to fight. In order to do this, we have to answer three key questions: who do we fight?, Where are we fighting?, and How do we fight? We must allow ourselves to be shaped by the scriptures and advance the Kingdom of God wherever we go because that’s how we truly bring light to the darkness.
When the Gospel story affects every part of our lives, we find a more beautiful way to live and interact with one another. No matter what kind of relationships you’re in, the principles Paul talks about in Ephesians 5 are universal for everyone who is in Christ. Our in-Christ relationships are characterized by our submission, sacrifice, and surrender to one another. This submission is not subordination or servitude; it is the willful choice to entrust ourself to another person. Every aspect of our lives as followers of Jesus should be a testament to the gospel, and sometimes the loudest gospel we can preach is by the way we live in our home.
In week 5 of our Ephesians series, we look at Ephesians 4. Pastor Ethan Vanse takes us through what it looks like to operate in the body of Christ through commitment to Jesus and His ways. 1. Unity 2. Service 3. Purity are the the 3 principles we see, and when we apply that to our life we see unity in the body of Christ, but it takes commitment to release the power of God.
In Ephesians 2:11-22, Pauls talks about Jews and Gentiles being reconciled to each other. There was a deep cultural divide between these two people groups that only Christ could heal, but what does this mean for us today? Sin doesn’t just affect our relationships with God: it affects our relationship with others and with ourselves. But through Christ, God has reconciled us to Himself, and He has given us reconciliation with each other. The family of the Church is a living witness to what Jesus did on the cross. Family may be messy, but it’s so worth it.
In Ephesians 2:1-10, Paul paints a vivid picture of who we were before Christ and who we are after Christ. We were spiritually dead, enslaved to the desires of the body and mind, and condemned to God’s wrath. But this is good news. Why? Because a diagnosis is the first step in treatment, and we have a cure that goes all the way to the root of the problem. In our darkness, Jesus found us and delivered us from the pit by His grace. There’s no better news than that! Join us for week 2 of “Ephesians: Becoming a Real Jesus Community.”
There is a tension in the life of a Christ follower, and that is the tension of being a citizen in two kingdoms: an earthly kingdom and a heavenly one. This can be difficult to navigate, because both of these kingdoms have different cultures, or way of doing things. This week, we take look at Ephesians 1. In Ephesians, Paul’s prayer for us is that the eyes of our hearts would be open to who we are in Christ so that we can bring Heaven to our earthly kingdom. Let’s dive in to week 1 of “Ephesians: Becoming a Real Jesus Community”!
You're listening to Church On The Move Broken Arrow message podcast with Pastor Ian Wilson. When we find ourself in a season of waiting God teaches us in Psalm 92 to give thanks, see what he is doing, and share what He is doing. By planting ourselves in what he is doing through the local church we will see the other side of seasons of waiting and the fruit that it produces when we plan.
You're listening to part 10 of our Summer in the Psalms Series. Today Pastor Ethan Vanse takes us through Psalm 119 where we learn the importance of the Bible being our daily bread.
Psalm 119 is 176 verses of praise for the Word of God. It reminds us of the beauty and wisdom of God’s Word in written form, and it reminds us that we must strive to be people of the Book. The primary way God has chosen to reveal Himself is through His Word, so we better be reading it! Join us for the final week of our series “Summer in the Psalms."
You're listening to part 9 of our Summer in the Psalms series. Pastor Ian covers Psalm 27, The Lord is my light and salvation whom shall I fear? Pastor Ian Wilson teaches that we can trust that even when opposition comes against us we can put our trust fully in our mighty God, and trust that he will come through for us.
You're listening to Part 8 of our Summer in the Psalms Series. Some verses in the Psalms are harder to understand than others. That’s why we have to do the hard work of studying context. To imprecate means “to invoke evil upon or curse” one's enemies. Psalm 137 is a prayer of imprecation. It shows us that God wants us to bring the fullness of our emotions to Him, no matter how raw and unfiltered. Different seasons with God require different ways of talking to Him. But honesty in prayer is only the starting line. Don’t miss this powerful message from Pastor Ethan Vanse in week eight of Summer in the Psalms.
You're listening to part 7 of our summer message series Summer in the Psalms with Lead Pastor Ethan Vanse. Pastor Ethan takes us through Psalm 8 and teaches on the principal of dominion.

You're listening to part 5 of our teaching series called Summer in the Psalms. Pastor Ethan Vanse teaches on Psalm 34, and 3. principles of what to do when you don't know what to do. 1. Praise 2. Obedience 3. Grace
You're listening to Part 3 of our Summer In The Psalms Series. Pastor Gabe George teaches on Psalm 51 and on what true repentance looks like in our relationship with God.
You're listening to part 3 of our Summer in the Psalms series! Lead Pastor Ethan Vanse shows us how David is describing God our Father and His very nature. God is showing us examples both in how he comforts us and how he corrects us.
You're listening to part 2 of our Summer in the Psalms series. Pastor Ethan Vanse walks us through Psalms 7. How do we respond when we are unjustly critiqued or unfairly criticized? Relationships can be hard to navigate. In Psalm 7, David shows us that we can bring our unfiltered feelings to God and ultimately trust that justice is in His hands.
This is the first week of our series Summer in the Psalms. Psalm 1 is only six verses, yet it reveals so much about God and ourselves. God’s no often precedes His yes, and fruit comes seasonally. We live in a world obsessed with success. But we are not called to success; we are called to long and faithful obedience.
