Soda Kuczkowski of Start With Sleep has spent the last 13 years educating and supporting physician offices, community organizations and hospitals to address the risks associated with undiagnosed medical sleep disorders and represented a center that provided diagnostic testing for them.
What she has found in her time in healthcare is that sleep challenges are most often tied to behavioral, lifestyle choices that when continued over a period of time can manifest themselves into more serious medical conditions. Furthermore, that diagnostic testing leaves a void for those that are sleep deprived but not positive for sleep disordered breathing issues. Patients are often left feeling hopeless without a solution to their sleep problems and without a resource to find a customized plan that works for their individual needs.
She saw the need to directly provide education to the community regarding strategies that embrace both the science and art of sleep for a holistic solution to their sleep challenges. Beyond her direct work in clinical sleep health education, she attends yearly medical sleep conferences (35+ CEU's) and has completed sleep certification's in maternity + child sleep, as well as in integrative adult sleep health through The International Parenting Health Institute™ (IPHI).

MemoryFox is a Buffalo-based startup dedicated to preserving the stories of individuals and communities. Founded by UB graduate, Chris Miano, the company offers a platform for collecting, recording, and sharing multimedia, such as audio recordings of someone recounting a story, along with photographs to illustrate it.
Chris Miano grew up in the suburbs of Buffalo and spent eight years in the Army before returning and enrolling in the MBA program at UB. His time in the military had a significant influence on his experience creating MemoryFox. As a captain and commander, he felt that it was important for everyone under his command to have a stake in their success. “You get more out of people when they feel that sense of efficacy—that they matter, and people care about them,” he said. “So I was really big on getting to know people and giving them an opportunity to say what their story was, and to create a unified story for the organization, to give people that sense of connection.”
Blake LeMoi has always had a passion for business, digital, technology & leadership. Graduated with a computer networking degree from Lake Washington Institute of Technology, and Honors in Business at University of Texas at San Antonio. Throughout his career, Blake’s focus has been on employee and customer experience management. He recognizes that corporate culture, brand development, and human capital training are the foundation that successful companies are built on. After his start in 1998 and has had successful years in corporate management and small business. Blake founded Oneighty.io, a growth consulting firm that utilizes the skills he acquired throughout his career. Jason Rizzo is the director of Mohs Surgery at Western New York Dermatology. He is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained skin cancer surgeon, with special expertise in Mohs micrographic surgery and tissue-sparing melanoma surgeries.
Dr. Rizzo was born and raised in West Seneca, New York, where he attended West Seneca West Senior High School. Molly O’Malley Pitman is the owner of Sweet Charlotte's, a no-frills kind of place where you don’t really have to worry about your child making a mess.
Her story began in 2003, when her son Donovan was born. Her and her husband embraced every moment, every smile, and every step, and they decided another child would complete this perfect picture. In 2005, Donovan welcomed a little sister, Charlotte, and they continued to celebrate all of the wonderful milestones that come along with infants and toddlers. During this time, however, they realized that Donovan was not yet speaking and very often seemed withdrawn. At 23 months old, he was diagnosed with autism and their lives were forever changed.
Fortunate to know professionals in pediatrics and early childhood education, they were offered support, guidance, and direction. As their family worked through those early trials, Molly witnessed the challenges of other families around her. She began to search for some way to make a difference; a way to raise awareness and funds needed to support children like her own.
As the parent of an autistic child, she recognizes the need to educate parents and families of affected children. By understanding what resources are available, parents can eliminate fear and become empowered to make the best choices for their children.
