In today’s episode, Florence is joined by Connie Rey, author of The Adventures of Binky and Mango: Mango’s Big Surprise. Throughout this podcast, Connie and Florence discuss a range of topics, including where the first inspiration came from for these lovable characters, how her professional experience has influenced the messaging of this book as well as touching base on the main theme of change throughout the book while helping to normalise dealing with change and how it affect people.
They reflect on the surreal and special experience of seeing the illustrations bring her story to life and later go on to share what the response has been like upon the release of this book. Also, she gives us a little hint of whats to come in the world of Binky and Mango.

Join Florence as she welcomes back the author of What’s in a Year, John Miller. In this episode, they explore the deep connection between rivers and storytelling, discuss the growing need for salmon conservation, and introduce new projects dedicated to supporting and restoring salmon populations.

Inspired by his own childhood, David discusses how his times at the seaside when he was a child and the happy memories, he had from those times inspired his writing today. Even SeaMouse, the main character was to celebrate his son and the journey of becoming a father.
