The Filling: Recent Episodes

A podcast designed to facilitate discussion with dental students about their education. The goal is to help students process their ideas, share their concerns, provide feedback and insight about how their education can be improved. While the “target audience” is students, we hope that faculty and administration will tune in to hear the student voice as well.
In this episode, we explore the positives of a pandemic at the D.I.S.C.O (Dental Instruction Sidelined by the COVID obstacle)! Wait, what? No really, we looked at the flip side of a pandemic in Dental Education. We had three wonderful D4 students join us to share their experiences with Spear Education, meeting Mike Tyson, the Marching band, oh my! In our second episode, we found our stride and positive things that came out of the Pandemic.
In the pilot episode of The Filling, we dove into a controversial topic: Democracy! More specifically, we talked about whether there was a place for democracy in dental education with three D1 students. In other words, should students have a say in their education?
