I had a rare opportunity to interview a longtime practitioner and evidence based trainer Ester Lampreave and her daughter Julia. It was unique to have the perspective of training past your 40s and someone younger going to turn 18. An insight of how the usage of resistance training is applied in both older and younger demographics give perspective of how beneficial strength can be. The fact that we have people internationally interested in evidence based training and dose relationship approach to exercise, even in Spain, I find astonishing. Perhaps a global movement of having people do resistance training for health could indeed be the future.
Topics discussed and Marks:
2:02 - Transition from Pilates to High Intensity Strength Training (Problems of Pilates due to Skill Limitations and Age)
4:10 - The shift towards a more scientific framework mindset for training
6:19 - Arguments against doing potentially higher volume training and taking into account limitations of the body
8:23 - Training cannot be the same in 40s than 20s or younger. People getting into exercise wanting to lose weight and getting into excessive "cardio".
13:55 - Crossfit, Genetics, and the Risk to the Majority "Normal" people. Limitations of the body and age being a big factor for results.
19:55 - Views of High Intensity Strength Training in Spain and the global epidemic of people engaging physical activities that might cause injury
21:15 - High Intensity Training brought to Spain by Lucas Leal and the connection to Body by Science by Dr Doug McGuff
26:08 - Opinions about Physicians about Exercise Physiology and Nutrition (Realities and Recommendations)
29:04 - State of Personal Training, "Staying in your Lane"
32:38 - Insecurities, Doing Programs out of Body Image Issues and etc.
37:01 - Advice to younger women or others about training, Genetics, "Choose your Parents"
39:20 - Women not having the physical advantages, and needing to work intelligently because of it.
44:23 - Hard Realities and Expectations
50:47 - Julia's experience from resistance training as a student. Realities of balancing doing training and having other things to do.
52:28 - Spending way too much time in the gym and Julia's experience with efficiency and open-mindedness
57:51 - Younger generations being more sedentary now than ever and lack of physical activity within children on a global scale.
1:00:29 - Exposure of exercise to children and advice to parents
1:08:40 - Younger people being exposed to resistance training
1:27:37 - Profoundness of Resistance Training at different ages

Excuse my frequent usage of "general" and other phrases. I try to articulate myself. Also so I don't end up going onto a long rant.
The first episode is just the intro and purpose and to touch upon why it was created. Be on the look out for the next episode! Enjoy!
