Saudi Arabia GP Review
In this episode we discuss and react to an outright brilliant Saudi Arabian GP as World Champion Max Verstappen manages to get back on track after a hard fought victory against his new rival for 2022, Charles Leclerc.
We discuss where the race was won and lost, along with some great thoughts on some of the great racing on display from Verstappen and Leclerc, and how fun it was to watch them go at it.
We also discuss a decent weekend for Sainz and Perez, and how the latter was cruelly denied at least a podium after some clever strategy from Ferrari, and a poorly timed Safety Car.
We discuss a contrasting day for Mercedes as George Russell delivers another solid weekend for Mercedes, and a difficult one for Sir Lewis Hamilton who finished P10 to recover a point after a difficult qualifying.
We also turn our attention to the rest of the field where reliability is a growing concern for some, and the alpines had stolen the show for the first half of the race with an amazing inter team battle.
We also have an important discussion regarding the safety of the Jeddah circuit, and whether it is fit for purpose in the modern era of race, and we also look into the huge discussions taking place on Friday night following the attack in Jeddah on Friday evening.

In this episode of the DNF1 Podcast, we preview the Saudi Arabia GP and give our thoughts on what we learnt from the first race in Bahrain.
We discuss the potential ongoing issues at Red Bull, and the nature of their mysterious double retirement which has not only put the team on the back foot, but it has left potential setbacks that could make it difficult for Max Verstappen to retain his title.
We also discuss why Ferrari's 1-2 victory in Bahrain may have been more impressive than first thought, and why that could bode well for them this season. And we also discuss Carlos Sainz's constructive criticism of his own performance in Bahrain.
We also discuss the other stories in the field, including Mercedes, Haas and McLaren.

Formula 1 is back folks, and we kick off the season with an incredible 1-2 victory for Ferrari and Charles Leclerc. The first time that the DNF1 Team conduct a race review with Ferrari taking the victory.
Adam, Courtney and Lee discuss and incredible day for Ferrari which has been two years in the making as the Scuderia finally seem to be back to where they belong, and in prime position to mount a championship challenge.
We also discuss a difficult day for World Champion Max Verstappen and Red Bull after both he and Sergio Perez suffer terminal car faults which prevented them from scoring at least a podium.
We also discuss why it was the perfect day for Mercedes who benefited from Red Bull's plight to secure a 3rd and 4th place finish for Sir Lewis Hamilton & George Russell respectively. And we round off the episode singing the praises of Kevin Magnussen/Haas & Valterri Bottas/Alfa Romeo, whilst showing concern and analysing what has gone on at McLaren, and whether we feel this could be a somber sight for them this season.

Hi all,Sport can be a cruel mistress sometimes, and this Sakhir GP proved to be no different for Geroge Russell. Â After Lewis Hamilton Contracted Covid 19, Mercedes drafted in George Russell from Williams as a replacement, and he was so close to achieving an incredible result on his Mercedes debut, but it wasn't meant to be.Courtney and I discuss the fallout from an incredible Sakhir GP where it was Sergio Perez who deservedly got the win after a fantastic roller coaster saw him fall from 5th all the way to dead last after a collision with Verstappen & Leclerc, which eventually would result in him taking his maiden victory in F1.We also discuss how George Russell drove an incredible race on his first time out for Mercedes, only for it to be cruely taken away from him at the end through no fault of his own. Hi All,First thing's first, I am so glad and grateful that Romain Grosjean is ok after that horrible crash and that F1 safety measures have advanced so much. Hopefully it'll be a very long time before we see an incident as frightening to watch as that one.In this episode, Courtney & I discuss the fallout from the Bahrain GP including the crash at the start involving Romain Grosjean who may have ended his F1 career in a frightening manner, but it's great to see he will walk away from the dangers he faced relatively ok.As for the race itself, once again Lewis Hamilton dominates the field to secure his 95th victory of his career and 98th pole position, ahead of the Red Bull's of Max Verstappen & Alex Albon. We also discuss the heart breaking misfortune for the Racing Point Team as Sergio Perez is denied a podium after an engine failure 3 laps to the end. Will this be the end to his chances of securing a drive at Red Bull for next season, and is the the key blow for Racing Point in their fight for 3rd in the constructors championship? We also review a great day for Mclaren with 4th and 5th for Norris and Sainz respectively and an okish day for Alpha Tauri and Renault whilst Ferrari struggle. As always, thanks for tuning in, stay safe, & we will see you in the next episode of the DNF1 - F1 Podcast...Follow us on Social Media:Twitter: dnf1_podcastInstagram: dnf1_podcastFacebook: DNF1 - F1 PodcastYouTube: DNF1 - F1 Podcast Learn more about your ad choices. Hi Everyone,Got a bit of a bonus episode for you guys before this week's Bahrain GP.For those of you that don't, Courtney & and I are from the United Kingdom, and in the current Formula One era, we have been blessed to witness statistically the most successful driver of all time Lewis Hamilton, rack up so much success in the sport over the last 14 seasons. However, like all things in life, it cannot last forever, and sadly all great things must come to an end...With that in mind, Courtney and I have an in depth discussion of the future stars of British Motorsport currently competing in both F1 & F2. And as you may recognise by the thumbnail of the video, those drivers include; Lando Norris, George Russel, Callum Illot, Jack Aitken & Dan Ticktum. We discuss their careers to date as well as their reputation in the motorsport world, and try to agree on who we think will have what it takes to not only do well in F1, but who we think are the most likely candidates for becoming Britain's next Formula One Superstar. As always, thank you all for your amazing support, and thank you for helping us reach over 100 subscribers and counting, as well as helping us celebrate our first video (of many I hope) to reach over 1000 views on YouTube. Hi Everyone,After the amazing response we received from the last episode, we've noticed that there has been a lot talk regarding whether or not Lewis Hamilton deserves a knighthood. We also noticed the ongoing debate as to whether or not his success is down to the car or Lewis himself. So naturally we decided that we would weigh in on this as well.In this episode, Courtney & I debate these topics as well as have a bit of a rant regarding the huge safety issue that arose during the Turkish Grand Prix Qualifying last weekend. We also round off this episode by reminiscing over some of our favourite victories from Mr. Hamilton himself. I guess by now you would think we're Hamilton fan boys, haha! But hey, we're just enjoying the success of one of the all time greats!!!Also, if you haven't already, please check out episode 40 on YouTube. It's that time again, another DNF1 - F1 Podcast! In this week's episode we review the climatic finish of the British Grand Prix which saw Lewis Hamilton dominate the British Grand Prix until his left front tyre deflated before our eyes on the final lap leaving him just enough of a gap in his pocket to bring it home and win the British GP on three wheels. We also look at how Valterri Bottas suffered the same plight just before Lewis but was much less fortunate and not scoring any points which has surely dealt his championship chances a very hefty blow. We discuss what might have been for Max Verstappen and Red Bull with the benefit of hindsight as well as contrasting race weekends at Ferrari for Leclerc and Vettel respectively. Not forgetting another excellent performance from Pierre Gasly in the Alpha Tauri, and the return of Nico Hulkenberg after replacing Sergio Perez at Racing Point who had to miss the British Grand Prix after contracting Covid 19.And finally, we preview the F1 70th anniversary Grand Prix, the second part of the Silverstone Double Header. Well Ladies and Gentlemen...We made it. After 217 days, F1 has graced our screens once again with the opening race of the 2020 season under our belts. Needless to say that it answered many questions, but still left us with plenty to ponder for the rest of the season ahead. And what a race it was, Mercedes dominated but had to manage potential gear box troubles that could hamper them this season. Red Bull with a double retirement where neither Albon or Verstappen were at fault, and Ferrari were massively disappointing and slow. Yet somehow Leclerc managed a 2nd place finish despite the odds.Lets not forget the small matter of Lando Norris getting his first ever F1 podium after a dramatic final lap.We review the race and discuss the main talking points from the race 'including the Hamilton Albon incident'. We also discuss what went on at Ferrari regarding the surprising revelations regarding the truth behind the Ferrari Vettel contract saga. And we sign off with a preview of the 2nd Austrian Grand Prix this weekend. As always, thank you all for your support. Hi Everyone!!!As the beginning of the Formula One season is only a few weeks away, we decided to dedicate this week's episode to a story that's been almost a quarter of a century in the making. The story of the Williams team is legendary as the most successful independent (Non manufacturer) team in Formula One. However, it has been 23 years since it's last world championship back in 1997 with Jacques Villeneuve at the wheel. Following a decade of dominance in the 1990's Williams had gone on a declining path none could have foreseen.Courtney and I tell the story of William's fall from Formula One World Champions to Formula One survival. In the midst of their plight to acquire new investment to survive in Formula One, we talk about what contributing factors took place to write this tale, and discuss perhaps what could have been if certain events had not occurred or decisions went a more favourable path with hindsight. We also finish the episode with reasons why we think the future could be bright for the Williams team to potentially return on a path towards reliving the golden days of the 1990's once again, if it can successfully secure the required investment. As always, thank you all for supporting us, and please continue to do so. And always, please make sure to like, share and subscribe to the DNF1-F1 Podcast on YouTube and all your favourite podcasting platforms. We hope you enjoy, and we look forward to seeing you in the next Episode... Hello Everyone...The day we are all waiting for is now finally within sight. According to the official Formula One press release this week, Formula One will be returning to our screens in just a little over a month away. Courtney and I do our best to contain our excitement whilst we discuss Formula One's imminent return. We go into depth to discuss the obstacles and challenges the F1 world faces in order to show the watching audience that it can stage races in a safe environment, and ensure that it does not repeat the mistakes of Australia earlier in the year (including the proposed calendar and F1's 5 step plan). We also talk about the possibility of reverse grid races being used this season and whether or not we think it would be a good format the sport could use to spice up the racing for the viewers. And finally, we look at the rumour that just will not go away. Will Toto Wolff leave Mercedes and join Aston Martin.....As always, thank for you all for your support.
