Being a neighbor means helping even when people do destructive things. Being a neighbor means being willing to get some blood on you. Being a neighbor means we understand that acknowledgment isn't enough.
“If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got.” We cultivate adaptability. “We are serious about the discipline of joy.” We cultivate celebration.
“When you're green, you grow. When you're ripe, you rot.” We cultivate growth. “We get off the sidelines.” We cultivate servanthood.
“He gave extravagantly, so we give extravagantly.” We cultivate generosity. “We are not afraid to get out of the boat.” We cultivate faith.
“As family, we go.” We cultivate relationships. “It's ok to not be ok.” We cultivate authenticity.
Christmas is about application not just information. Christmas is about following and finding. Christmas is about giving gifts.
Thankfulness is an action and it requires my choosing. Thankfulness is a duty for those who believe. Thankfulness is independent of my circumstances because of his goodness. Thankfulness destroys pride and builds humility. Thankfulness is a gateway to joy happiness and blessing. Thankfulness is a salve for sorrows. Be thankful to God for the great things He has done, He is doing, He has promised to do.
We pray to be heard by God, not to be seen by men. God isn't impressed by the length or eloquence of our prayers, but by our hearts. Since God already knows, why should we pray? 1. Prayer expresses our faith and trust in God. 2. Prayer creates deeper connection and relationship with God. 3. Prayer involves us in activities with eternal importance
We ask with boldness. We seek with persistence. We knock with childlike confidence. Remember this: Everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. Everyone who knocks, the door is opened
Let your name be glorified by my life. Your will be done, not mine. Give us just enough, not too much, not too little. God you are right, I am wrong and I need you. As we receive grace help us to extend grace to others. Help us make right decisions that honor you
It's important to choose healing. It's important to focus on who can truly heal us. It's important to understand the purpose of our healing
It's time to stop making excuses. It's time to reorder our priorities. It's time to listen and obey
Servants of Jesus display lives of complete obedience. Servants of Jesus display lives that go the extra mile. Servants of Jesus display lives of faith and trust.
